Dentro de los comics, el lector sigue la vida personal de cada uno de sus héroes, entiende sus motivaciones ym a la larga, logra identificarse con ellos, lo que los hace interesantes. Pero en la vida real, no tendrías mucha de esa información, y posiblemente ni siquiera tendrías una imagen clara de ellos. Tenemos a continuación diez héroes que, si realmente existieran, tendrían nuestro más profundo desagrado.

1. Capitán América: Si de por sí las muestras ultrapatrióticas de Estados Unidos son tan molestas, ahora imagínense a una persona así andando por la vida, y que seguramente aparecería en CNN cada dos días. Cualquier persona acabaría con nauseas.
2. Batman: Un individuo que aparece de pronto, ignora los métodos policiales, y que además parece atraer a tu ciudad a cuanto loco asesino existe en el mundo, sería más que suficiente como para que el público en general lo odiara y maldijera.
3. Punisher: Nuevamente, el individuo que toma la ley en sus manos. Ya veo yo a los grupos de vecinos exigiendo el arresto inmediato de “esa amenaza para la comunidad”.
4. Guy Gardner: Si de por sí los tipos prepotentes son odiosos, ahora sólo imaginen a uno que lleva en el dedo el arma más poderosa del Universo. No sería alguien que se diera a querer realmente.
5. Iron Man: Si bien podría no haberlo sido en su momento, seguramente después de Guerras Secretas, medio mundo lo hubiera aborrecido. Sólo imagímense saber que un sujeto con un arma así trabaja para el gobierno, y su trabajo es controlar a la gente…
6. Gambit: Una cosa es cierta, y es que en el mundo real, el asunto mutante sería un tema delicado. Y si a eso le agregas que uno de sus miembros tiene un pasado criminal probado y reconocido, no ayudaría mucho en cuestión de popularidad.
7. Booster Gold: Con la imagen altruista que tenemos de la cuestión superheroica, un individuo que haga presentaciones personales y comerciales para ganarse la vida seguramente no sería el individuo más popular del mundo.
8. El Comediante: Digámoslo claramente, él es un asesino maniático, y los medios no han sido tímidos en hacerlo saber. No creo que ningún padre de familia lo aprovara como modelo de conducta para sus hijos.
9. Supermán: Su principal problema es que es uno de los seres más poderosos del mundo, y es demasiado buena persona. Más de una persona le gritaría en la cara que desperdicia sus poderes en bajar gatos de los árboles.
10. Hulk: Se pone de malas, y puede destruir millones de dólares en propiedades en unos minutos, para después no hacerse responsable de ello. ¿alguna pregunta?

Torno nuovamente a parlare del Punitore, vera e propria presenza fissa tra le mie letture recenti, ma non posso farci niente se stanno pubblicando una bella dose di materiale su Frank Castle, se non comprarla, leggerla e parlarvene.
“Punisher” è la nuova serie regolare dedicata a questo simpatico mattacchione di cui vengono proposte le prime cinque storie in un albo ora in edicola.
Davvero non comprereste qualcosa con questa copertina?

Ma non è solo la copertina a farne una proposta più che buona: Le storie scritte dal giovane e molto promettente Rick Remender si collegano con l’attuale continuità (ossia il “Dark reign di Norman Osborn), e niente hanno a che fare con le saghe di Garth Ennis (lo stesso Remender risponde abbastanza piccato quando si fanno paragoni, ma del resto come dargli torto?).
Il primo pregio sono i disegni di Jerome Opena, moderni, oscuri, perfetti per narrare queste gesta di Frank Castle.

Il secondo pregio è la nuova spalla informatica del Punitore. Un pischello che vive in una topaia tra poster dei Black Flag e dei Bad Brains. Come fare a non farselo risultare simpatico?

del resto è noto un po’ a tutti che i supercattivi odiano lo speed-metal, ascoltano i grandi successi di Mal dei Primitives e si commuovono con Omar Codazzi.

Nota negativa è invece Hood, ma qua Remender può farci poco o niente. La trasformazione narrativa del personaggio, dal carismatico sfigato che si trova causalmente con dei superpoteri della miniserie di Vaughan e Hotz (ormai lontano e piacevole ricordo), al cattivissimo cattivone senza scrupoli pronto a tutto per i soldoni e amichetto del cuore del tenero Dormammu (sempre se per voi questo demoniazzo orrendo è lo stesso Dormammu con cui si prendeva a sberloni mistici il Dr.Strange negli anni sessanta, e non un cattivo da videogame dell’xbox), è ormai cosa nota, colpa che ricade, tanto per cambiare, unicamente sulle spalle di Bendis, perché a sminuire grandi personaggi come ci riesce lui ci riescono in pochi.

Una lettura più che piacevole e divertente quindi, capace di approfittare in maniera più che positiva dell’attuale situazione dell’universo Marvel, ma che viene oscurata da una nefasta luce proveniente dal mondo del domani. Niente profezie Inca, niente visioni soprannaturali, niente messaggi dal futuro, semplicemente un’anteprima su internet:

Non sentite come un inquietante senso di deja-vu?
Non vi ricorda il periodo più buio e disgustoso del Punitore?

Evolución de las películas de Súper Héroes

FirstShowing.net, retomo una gráfica presentada por la cadena Kold Cast TV, donde se presenta el desarrollo de las películas básadas en cómics de Súper Héroes, las ganancias que estás han obtenido, siendo Batman la franquicia más remunerable con casí 3 Billones de Dólares. Tomando en cuenta que la primera de la serie: Superman, casi alcanza el Billón. Así mismo que Marvel tiene el 68% de la producción, y que 2008, ha sido por mucho, el año más exitoso para la industria cinematográfica.

También se menciona a las tres péliculas de The Punisher como los grandes fracasos de la historia al lado de Elecktra y Howard The Duck.

Ciao Max, sono Emiliano, ti ho già scritto qualche tempo fa. volevo porti alcune domande riguardo una serie “minore” rispetto all’ottimo materiale Marvel Italia, ma comunque riguardante un personaggio di punta statunitense, ovvero l’amato Spawn, pubblicato da voi in spillati trimestrali. Vado con le domande:
1) E’ possibile, in futuro, vedere altre raccolte in volumi di cicli più o meno famosi dell’Hellspawn come è stato per La morte di Angela, magari in 100% Cult Comics?
2) Dato che sono oramai esauriti ed irreperibili da anni, se non a fiere del fumetto o simili ed a prezzo maggiorato, avete mai pensato ad una ristampa dei bellissimi volumetti Spawn Collection?
3) Ho visto che sullo shop online del sito Panini praticamente tutti gli spillati precedenti al numero 107, tranne alcuni degli ultimi, sono esauriti: è possibile in futuro vederne una ristampa o riproposta in altri formati, tanto per ricollegarci alla prima domanda?

Grazie! Purtroppo, per adesso, non sono previste nuove ristampe di storie del sempre popolare Spawn. In repato novità, tuttavia, non perdere Spawn/Wild C.A.T.S scritto da Alan Moore in persona in uscita a gennaio!

Ciao Max, ti chiedo scusa anticipatamente perchè già so che la domanda che sto per porgere alla tua attenzione ti sarà stata fatta almeno un milione di volte… Volevo sapere se i numeri di Vagabond che ristamperete nel 2010 apparterranno alla prima edizione oppure alla Vagabond Deluxe e poi se c’era qualche speranza di ristampa dei numeri esauriti di Bastard (tipo il numero 21 che è praticamente introvabile)? Ti ringrazio.

1) non c’è una miniserie Dark Reign, ma troverai ogni mese per un annetto vari speciali e gli “approfondimenti” (che noi chiamiamo tie-in) sulle varie testate.
2) Il primo volume di Dark Reign: Punisher, che contiene i primi cinque numeri della serie Punisher (vol. 8), è effettivamente in edicola! Il secondo arriverà in estate!

Quale sarà il destino dei Guardiani della Galassia, continuerete a pubblicarli?

Certo, caro Nicola. Prima su War of Kings Preludio: Guardiani della galassia (febbraio) e poi direttamente sulla miniserie in cinque numeri War of Kings (a partire dal n. 2 di aprile)! Non perdere nessuna uscita delle mirabolanti avventure del nuovo gruppo di giustizieri cosmici!

Ciao Max, ho appena letto i vostri annunci Planet Manga fatti alla fiera di Lucca. Molto contento per molete cose in quanto rientrano pienamente nei miei gusti fumettistici. In primis l’artbook di Naoki Urasawa, che andrà a completare tutte le opere da voi pubblicate e che non mi sono fatto mai sfuggire. Poi mi ha reso felice l’annuncio di Astroboy di Tezuka. Però ho visto che sul sito era riportato che lo avreste pubblicato interamente come in originale, poi successivamente c’è stata una rettifica, e cioè saranno pubblicati solo 5 volumi…Da buon appassionato di manga d’autore, spero non sia una raccolta incompleta, cosi come spero in un’edizione con sovraccoperta da libreria! E a proposito di manga d’autore, di Jiro Taniguchi cos’è che verrà pubblicato? Tutte le ristampe delle opere esaurite presso il vostro catalogo o anche altre opere inedite? Le ristampe saranno nuove edizioni completamente diverse oppure semplici ristampe uguali alle edizioni già apparse in passato? Grazie perchè da anni ci offrite le migliori serie manga che ci sono in circolazione!

Riguardo Astroboy, si tratterà di un’antologia (selezionata attentamente dagli erede di Tezuka) in cinque volumi dal grande formato e, se non erro, con alcune tavole a colori. Se poi questo progetto avrà successo, nulla ci vieterà di partire con una cronologica del personaggio! Passando a Taniguchi, si tratterà effettivamente di nuove edizioni delle opere da noi precedentemente pubblicate, non di semplici ristampe. Maggiori dettagli prossimamente!

Ciao Max! Ho scoperto una cosa terribile e ti prego di smentirmi… dopo Lucca Comics ho saputo che le CLAMP finiranno presto X, solo che sono venuto a sapere che un’altra casa editrice ripubblicherà la serie dal primo numero.. Ora mi chiedevo… ma ciò implica che Planet Manga ha perso i diritti su X? Nel senso… quando usciranno gli ultimi volumi, potrò averli sotto il vostro marchio? Perchè sarebbe brutto avere 18 numeri di una edizione e gli altri di un’altra… inoltre nelle edizioni delle altre case editrici c’è sempre qualcosa che non va, solo i vostri prodotti mi hanno sempre pienamente soddisfatto, quindi ci terrei veramente a concludere l’opera presso di voi… Ti prego di rispondermi, grazie del tempo concessomi.

Gentilissimo, Gabriele, innanzitutto grazie dei complimenti! Per X 1999, non ci risulta assolutamente nessun nuovo volume in arrivo. E’ comunque vero che in effetti non abbiamo più i diritti di questa serie in 18 volumi ferma ormai dal 2003… i cui ultimi cinque capitoli sono stati pubblicati su rivista da Kadokawa, ma mai in volume.

Konnichiwa Max, innanzitutto volevo ringraziare te e la Plama per le news rilasciate a Lucca (purtroppo ormai finita)… il 2010, come il 2009 del resto, si preannuncia davvero scoppiettante in campo manga! Ma passiamo subito al sodo, non la tiro per le lunghe con tutte le mail che avrai da leggere. XD
Quindi due brevi domande:
1) ho visto che a dicembre inizierà la ristampa della serie Kaori Yuki presenta. E’ per caso prevista anche una riedizione di God Child, magari sul modello dell’originale giappo?
2) Vampire Kight non è segnato nella checklist delle uscite di dicembre, come invece annunciato alla fine del 9 volume… è slittata l’uscita x non raggiungere la pubblicazione in patria (sono all’11° volume, se non erro)?

1) Ristampiamo effettivamente i numeri esauriti della collana Kaori Yuki Presenta, ma NON sono invece previste riedizioni (con differente formato e/o contenuto), a parte Angel Sanctuary Gold.
2) Vampire Knight 10 è in uscita a gennaio! Il 9 dovrebbe essere già nelle tue mani, no? Il volume 11 esce a dicembre in Giappone, quindi se ne parlerà tra qualche mesetto…

Garth Ennis y Steve Dillon retoman su fructífera sociedad (véase Predicador) en este arco argumental publicado originalmente en la colección Punisher War Zone (vol. 2 nº 1-6 USA), que Panini nos trae aquí en sus habituales volúmenes “Best of Marvel”, creo (tienen tantos nombres para sus volúmenes recopilatorios que me pierdo).

El caso es que como buen amante de todo lo escrito por este irlandés loco, especialmente de su trabajo con El Castigador (¿se le puede llamar todavía así?), no pude evitar comprar este MAX Punisher: La resurrección de Ma Gnucci en cuanto lo vi en la estantería. Peeeeeero… la primera en la frente, ya que aunque Panini lo haya publicado bajo el sello MAX, o mucho me equivoco, o este arco argumental se publicó en USA en la línea “Marvel Knights” y no en el sello para adultos de la editorial. Esto se traduce, básicamente, en la omisión de palabrotas (el frenesí de sangre y casquería habitual en Ennis sigue casi intacto) y en un argumento mucho menos oscuro y serio que con los que el autor nos deleitaba en la auténtica colección MAX Punisher.

Trampa por parte de Panini, que ha querido aprovechar el tirón de esta colección para colarnos bajo el sello MAX un cómic que, a mi entender, está por debajo de las cuotas de calidad que suelen presentar las cabeceras editadas con este nombre. Y es cierto que el autor y el personaje son el mismo, pero el nivel de la obra es muy inferior. Quizás por que Garth Ennis está menos inspirado, quizás porque tiene cortapisas editoriales que no tenía en la línea MAX, o simplemente porque se lo toma menos en serio.

Por cierto, permitidme una disgresión: hace unos meses se publicó en España Punisher: Valley Forge, Valley Forge como la despedida de Garth Ennis del sello MAX, pero recientemente la distribuidora SD ha anunciado para enero de 2010 un nuevo MAX Punisher firmado por el autor, bajo el título Niñas vestidas de blanco. Así que, al menos para el que suscribe, es toda una alegría, ya que el escritor irlandés ha firmado en esta colección algunas de las mejores historias publicadas en el medio durante la última década: “Madre Rusia”, “Hombre de Piedra”, “Arriba es abajo y negro es blanco”, “Los esclavistas” o el propio “Valley Forge Valley Forge” son auténticas maravillas que, por alguna razón que se me escapa, han pasado bastante desapercibidas para crítica y gran parte del público. De hecho, diría que en los últimos años no ha habido una colección en la que hayan proliferado tantas historias de calidad, ni un guionista que haya mantenido un nivel tan alto durante tanto tiempo, como en MAX Punisher.

Cerrando el paréntesis, y centrándonos en este La resurrección de Ma Gnucci, el cómic nos narra el aparente regreso de la tumba de la matriarca de la familia mafiosa Gnucci, genocidada por Punisher en su perpetua venganza contra el crimen. Esta premisa desencadena una nueva persecución y contra persecución entre Frank Castle y la supuesta familia Gnucci, desarrollada, sin embargo, con más desgana que en anteriores trabajos de Garth Ennis con el personaje. La historia está menos elaborada, los personajes carecen del carisma y la dimensionalidad de los creados por el autor en MAX Punisher y, sí, hay algunos momentos genuinamente Frank Castle, pero son más escasos y menos intensos que los vistos en la mencionada colección.

Para colmo, hay cierto abuso de esa vena gamberra, extravagante, que tiene Garth Ennis y que a veces le pierde. En MAX Punisher esta tendencia está presente pero sin pasarse de rosca, concentrando el autor casi todo ese sentido del humor malsano en el personaje de Barracuda. Aquí, sin embargo, parece haberle dado rienda suelta, y creo que ese gamberrismo argumental, que tan bien funciona en otras colecciones del autor como The Boys, no casa con el personaje de Frank Castle.

Respecto a la ilustración, digamos que Steve Dillon no es santo de mi devoción. Siempre le he visto como un dibujante plano, sin matices, y sin capacidad para darle profundidad y dramatismo a las escenas (espero no herir susceptibilidades). Algo que ya me molestaba en Predicador, y que aquí me sigue molestando, máxime si lo comparamos con otros dibujantes que han acompañado a Ennis en su trabajo con Punisher, como Dougie Braithwaite o el genial Leandro Fernández, totalmente desconocido para mí hasta que lo descubrí en MAX Punisher.

En definitiva, los que como yo habéis disfrutado tremendamente con el trabajo previo de Garth Ennis con el personaje, no os esperéis un cómic de calidad similar, aunque algunos de los rasgos que han convertido a Punisher en la mejor colección del sello MAX se pueden encontrar por aquí. Digamos que puede ser un buen divertimento a la espera de ese Punisher: Niñas vestidas de blanco que está por venir. 6

Damn, ça faisait bien longtemps que le break m’avait pas fait d’effet. Les coupoles et freezes, pass pass et casquettes à l’envers, j’ai décroché. Enfin, ça, c’était avant que je vois un BC One en direct. Le concept ? Un battle international qui réunit les 16 meilleurs B-boys de la planète. Ils s’affrontent en 1 à 1 devant un jury de 5 danseurs mythiques. Et autour, y’a une foule de gros fanatiques qui crient dans tous les sens. Après Biel, Berlin, Sao Paulo Johannesburg et Paris, c’est au tour de New York, ville emblématique du break, d’accueillir l’événement. Et quel événement ! Un bon show hip hop sans trop d’artifices avec la crème de la danse, et des bonnes grosses figures du mouvement : KRS One (old school mais incontournable) et Talib Kweli (très respecté mais un peu spé). On n’est pas dans le mainstream, on est vraiment au cœur du truc, et ça fait du bien. En plus, les Français ont fait une sacrée impression ! Reprezent !

Dimanche dernier, j’t’ai pas raconté parce que c’était tout naze, mais j’ai filé dans le Bronx pour fêter l’anniversaire du hip hop. Le musée du coin organisait un combo expo+conférence pour l’occasion, car Novembre comme tu le sais peut être, c’est le mois anniversaire de la culture hip hop. Résultat je me pointe là-bas, 167^e rue, pour finalement trouver une expo de bouts de ficelles, un ticket de concert par-ci, une photo par-là, une bombe de peinture encadrée. Non sérieux ? Tu penses bien que j’suis pas restée à la conférence. Les 3 darons old school qui y étaient m’ont juste donné envie de repartir à Brooklyn. J’suis vraiment sortie dégoûtée, genre « c’est ça l’hommage de la maman du hip hop à son enfant ? Bah putain, ça craint. » Les mecs sont toujours en train de surfer sur un passé glorieux sans considérer ce qui se fait aujourd’hui. Ça va ! j’ai donné. Sans moi.

Heureusement, RedcBull, (la boisson que je n’ai jamais osé boire par peur des représailles sur ma santé), m’a donné des ailes mercredi soir avec son événement de B-boys. J’en avais entendu parler, j’avais vu des images, mais j’avais jamais expérimenté le truc. Bah c’est intense ! Et pour sa première fois aux States, les places pour le BC One se sont vendues en 1h, petite salle oblige, histoire de garder le côté intime du battle. Les danseurs venaient du monde entier, (tout comme le public) très jeunes pour la plupart, genre 17 ans et déjà mondialement connus. Damn, j’me sens vielle d’un coup. A 17 ans j’avais les cheveux gras, je mettais des jeans 501 et des Nike Air (Pas Air Max, juste Air) et j’hésitais entre une Première L ou ES. C’était un autre dilemme que le leur… Côté B-boys, 2 Frenchy représentaient : Punisher, un métalleux d’Annecy, converti au break qui n’a pas une once de hip hop dans le sang, mais qui fait des figures comme personne ; et Lilou, petit gabarit asthmatique Lyonnais d’origine Algérienne qui met du Lacoste et défonce tout sur son passage avec son attitude et ses jeux de jambes (et de pieds, de mains, d’épaules, de hanches, bref !). J’avais bien hâte de les voir. Plus particulièrement de les voir gagner. Histoire de prouver aux Cainris que les Français ne savent pas faire que du pain, du vin et du Boursin. Hey les mecs, on fait du break aussi, ok ?

7h45 : La salle se remplit super vite, ça sent (pue ?) le clou de girofle, la clim me rend ouf et le groupe d’ados du Queens à côté de moi me chauffe la tête. Le premier gars qui prend la parole sur scène m’est totalement inconnu, mais comme il porte un ensemble en jean qui fait bleu de travail horrible bah j’tenais quand même à le mentionner. Il fait un shout out à tous les pays du monde et quand il demande qui ne vient pas de New York, toute la salle crie. Ok, on est vraiment face à des passionnés qui ont fait le déplacement exprès. Puis KRS entre en scène. C’est lui qui présentera le show. Il est massif le mec. Encore une fois, une styliste n’aurait pas été de trop. Il a un jean avec une bonne coupe bien dégueu et un tee-shirt artisanal, on dirait qu’il l’a fait lui-même. Le message (I am HIP HOP) est sympathique donc je ne m’acharnerai pas trop sur lui. Bref. Les juges font leur entrée. Chapeau bas, c’est que des mecs qui pèsent grave. En gros, juste avec leur démo, j’aurai pu rentrer chez moi contente. Coup de cœur pour Salah, un autre Frenchy qui maîtrise de ouf et qui a mis les States à ses pieds avec une mini-prestation bien originale. A 8h05, je réalise que je suis déjà à fond dans le show, avec presque plus de voix. Bon public la Travelin’ Girl !

8h15, les B-boys déboulent sur scène. Encore une fois, je m’étonne de voir leurs têtes de lycéens, à un niveau de compétition si élevé. Et faut l’dire, les mecs n’ont tellement pas l’air de breakeur. A croire que le B-boy des années 2000 n’a plus rien de celui des années 90. Le style skateur grungy est de rigueur. Le gros jogging/hoodie/Superstars est manifestement out. Revêt désormais un jean slim, des pompes de skate, un sous-pull marron et ça fera l’affaire. Anyway. La première vague de battles commence. Un contre un. 5 votes, celui qui est éliminé sort. Il n’en reste que 8 assez rapidement. Le niveau est déjà là, mais on en veut plus ! Déception pour notre Frenchy Punisher. Il n’a pas réussi à impressionner assez. Pourtant, ses figures m’ont fait mal à la tête, j’essaie encore de comprendre comment rationnellement, ce qu’il a fait est possible mais bon, je m’en remettrais. Ce qui compte lors du battle, c’est plus le style, le charisme, la repartie et la musicalité que la technique. Elle doit être irréprochable, certes, mais si tu n’as que ça, ça ne suffira pas. Dès le début par contre, Lilou nous fait bien rire : mimique, mime, sourire, attitude, le gars a tout pour lui et rend chaque passage unique. D’ailleurs, j’me souviens plus de ses jeux d’acteur que de ses figures. Pendant la pause, Red Bull n’a rien trouvé de mieux que de nous servir des sauteuses à la corde en entracte. À côté de nos breakeur toniques, les meufs aux jambes flasques et aux baskets bling bling me font bailler. Elles sautent à la corde quoi. Pffff vas y là, enchaîne ! Les breakeurs, ramène les breakeurs cousine !

Moi je suis à fond pour le p’tit Lilou. Et puis les autres, même s’ils sont bons, mon objectivité est faussée so… Non, en fait celui qui m’a mis la pression c’est Cloud aussi. C’est un Cainri. Grosse pointure, il danse avec la crème des artistes. Madonna pour n’en citer qu’une. Je l’ai vu manger ses adversaires en me disant que le mec avait trop de style. Doux, posé, il fait glisser ses pieds délicatement. J’crois qu’il pourrait danser sans faire aucun bruit. Mais il est grand, et j’ai l’impression qu’être grand en break c’est un inconvénient. Résultat le petit Lilou se faufile partout, faisant, entre deux coups de ventoline, sortir ses adversaires, les doigts dans le nez (pendant que j’y pense, conseil, ne traduis jamais cette expression en anglais. Une fois j’ai sorti « Finger in the nose » croyant que c’était une expression internationale, j’ai fait un bide, on m’a regardé chelou). 14 breakeurs se sont faits sortir, il est déjà 22h. Avant la finale, on nous fait deux p’tits cadeaux. Le Rock Steady Crew et Talib Kweli. Sympa quand même ! Pourtant, les darons du break m’ont pas fait kiffer. Normal, à plus de 40 ans, ton gras du bide t’empêche de faire pas mal de mouvements. Et puis j’avais l’impression que leur prestation était au ralenti. C’est dur de passer après de petites boules de nerfs de 17 ans qui te placent 50 mouvements en 30 secondes. Bref. Je respecte. Mais je kiffe pas quoi. Quant à Kweli, bon, il surfe un peu sur ses 2 tubes interplanétaires mais ça fait quand même plaisir. Un p’tit “Get By” et un p’tit Say My Name “Kweliii” avec Hi-Tek, comme ça, pour te divertir entre 2 coupoles, c’est cool. Mais qui l’eu cru, j’étais pressée que Talib bounce de la scène pour voir la finale. Parce qu’ils n’en restaient que 2. Les meilleurs ! Cloud vs Lilou. Pour moi Lilou allait se faire sortir. En plus il est en terre Cainri et son tee-shirt “I’m Muslim Don’t Panik” ne faisait pas de lui un favori. Pourtant, après quelques acrobaties, étalage sur le sol, pass pass, salto et autres mouvements inhumains, Lilou m’a tué (littéralement ! Je ne respirais plus) et a mis les juges dans sa poche. Enfin pas tous. Juste assez pour remporter la ceinture quoi. Et franchement j’y croyais pas jusqu’à la dernière minute. C’est Ronnie, juge Américain qui a fait la différence et qui a voté contre son compatriote Cloud pour faire du notre un champion ! Aller hop, drapeau Algérien en haut (Même si Lilou représentait la France, il a fait dessiner le drapeau algérien à la place du drapeau français sur les panneaux de vote). ENORME ! C’est le premier à remporter 2 fois ce prix. Moi, va comprendre, j’suis fière. Parce qu’il est français aux origines couscousiennes comme moi, parce que c’est un jeune qui a transformé son énergie en rage de réussir, parce que comme dans la série des années 90 sur TF1, il va « toujours plus haut, plus fort, plus vite, jusqu’au bout de l’extrêêême limite…». Et ça a le mérite d’inspirer. Pour la petite histoire, le gars a péta la première ceinture ! J’t’explique, la ceinture que tu gagnes au BC One, tu la prends, tu fais des photos, tu kiffes, puis tu dois la rendre. Mais lui ne l’a jamais rendue, utilisant une excuse qu’on a tous sortie un jour. « Mais madame, j’l’ai amenée au bled et depuis j’la retrouve plus. » Autant te dire que celle-là non plus ils risquent de ne pas la revoir.

La morale de l’histoire ? J’sais pas tellement par ou commencer parce que ce battle était pleins d’émotions. Et ce petit bout d’mec, qui n’est pourtant pas vraiment reconnu en France s’est fait standing ovationner avec son “I’m Muslim Don’t Panik” écris sur le torse en terre Américaine. Les meufs en talons voulaient toutes être prises en photo avec lui (Leeluuuuwwww), la presse l’a alpaguée de partout et Martha Cooper a fait son portrait. Pourtant, tu lui donnais pas 3 minutes en le voyant. Petit, limite bossu, binoclard, chaussettes remontées aux genoux et Gazelles grises défoncées, il avait l’air de tout sauf d’un B-boy. Et regarde ou il en est. Certes, c’est qu’un Red Bull BC One mais y’a pas grand-chose au-dessus en matière de break. Bravo ! Moi j’ai officiellement kiffé de ouf. Aller hop, pour conclure, on crie Lilou Président ! Son nom est à retenir…

Punisher Max #01‘in çizim tarzı aslında benim çok da sevmediğim bir tarz. Bakıyorsunuz; rahatsız edici bir tarafı yok ancak ilginizi de çekmiyor. “Sıradan bir çizgi roman sayfası” diye düşünüyorsunuz (hoş aslında haklısınız da). Bir yandan da bu tip bir çalışmayı daha önce onlarca kez gördüğünüz ve diğerlerinden çok da bir farkı olmadığı duygusuna da kapılıyorsunuz ki bu aslında ilk hissiyatınızın devamı ve evet: Bunda da haklısınız. 80′lerden hatta 70′lerden beri bu tipteki çizimleri onlarca kez gördünüz. Dolyaısıyla çizerinin kim olduğunun da çok bir önemi yok. Sonuç olarak Punishermax #01′i çizim açısından çok beğenmedim ancak hikayedeki ciddiyet ve ileriki sayılarda  bir kan davasına dönüşeceği belli olan Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) – Frank Castle kapışmasının doğuşunu izlemek heyean verici. Fisk buralarda bir yerlerde göreceğiniz birkaç kareden sonra kendine epey küfür edecektir eminim ki. Max sıradan Marvel evrenine nazaran daha çok yetişkinlere hitap eden ve normal Marvel evrenine göre hikayeler içerisinde ya hiç ya da çok az süper gücün/sihrin barındığı bir mekan. PunisherMax #01 de zaten ne karakter ne de konu olarak bunları barındırıyor. Eğer yeni bir seriye başlamak istiyor ama klişeleşmiş süper kahraman “dan-dunun” da biraz uzakolsun istiyorsanız PunisherMax bu manada (mafyalı, silahlı, kanlı) bir seçenek olabilir. Ayrıca Max’teki Frank Castle/Punisher, normal Marvel evrenindeki versiyonundan çok daha psikopat ve hastalıklı gözüküyor. Sözde kötü adam Kingpin. Ancak eğer olay good bad ugly ise, ugly wilson fiks, bad ise Frank Castle. En çok hoşuma giden kapak da bu ayrıca.

Punishermax #01′de Wilson Fisk’i hayatının hatasını yaparken görüyoruz. Yememiş.

Çizgi Romanlarda çizim ne kadar güzel olsa bile son kararı hep öykü veriyor. Dolayısıyla bu haftanın şampiyonu güzel öyküsü dolaysıyla Punisher Max.A ncak görsel açıdan şampiyon ise Punisher ne kadar ciddiyse bir o kadar ciddiyetsiz ve yavşak bir sayı olan Amazing Spider-Man#613. Bu hikayenin konuk kahramanı artık bazı okuyuculara “ıykk” dedirten Deadpool. Marvel Deadpool için her ay düzenli olarak “Deadpool” ve “Deadpool Team-Up” başlıklı 2 dergi çıkarıyor. Hemen hemen devamlı olarak başkharmanının Deadpool olduğu mini-seriler de cabası. Bun haricinde Deadpool’u birçok dergide konuk karakter olarak görüyoruz. Bloglardan gözlemlediğim kadarıyla ciddi çizgi roman okuyucularının birçoğunun düşücesi Deadpool’un zayıf ve sıkıcı bir karakter olduğu yönünde (bunda yaratıcısının Rob Liefield olmasının da büyük payı vardır. Rob Liefield çizgi roman dünyasında en çok nefret edilen yazar ve çizerlerinden biridir, bunda da birçok insanın haklı sebepleri olmasına rağmen yine de Liefield piyasa içerisinde bir şekilde en çok iş yapan isimler arasında yıllardır varolagelmiştir) Kişisel olarak ben Deadpool’u seviyorum. Rob Liefield hakkında çok da bilgi sahibi değilim dolayısıyla Deadpool ile tanışmam Liefield le tanışmamdan önce olduğu için böyle bir ön yargıdan yoksunum (Liefield’ı tanıyordum aslında ama sadece çizim olarak). Deadpool’un osuruk gibi olduğundan ve çok da ciddiye alınmaması gerektiğinden bahsetmiştim geçen haftalar. Ancak sorun şu ki : Deadpool’un kendine has, delice, zekadan ve mantıktan yoksun daha çok “Jackass” tadında bir espri anlayışı var. Bu herkesin sevebileceği bir tür değil. Bu tip esprilere bakarak T-800 ifadesiyle “çok mantıksız, salakça” diyebilecek birçok insan var. Dolayısıyla fazlaca Deadpool’a bulandırılmış bir Marvel evreni büyük bir okuyucu kesmi için zaman zaman gereğinden fazla sıkıcı bir hal alıyor olabilir.

Bu sayıda Spider-Man ve Deadpool karşı karşıya geliyor. Daha çok iki komik adam espri üstüne espi yapsın diye düşünülmüş bir sayı. Spider-Man özelliği mekanik bacaklarını istediği kadar uzatmak olan bir doktor ahtopot paradisiyle dövüşüyor ve gerçekten “oldschool” tarzda komik espriler yapıyor. Sonra daha modern tarzıyla sahneye Deadpool giriyor. Tahmin edersiniz ki zeka dolu esprilerini beyninin içi hakikaten de “zeka” ile dolu olduğu için yapan Peter Parker gibi bir karakter, bütün süper özelliklerinin yanında bir özelliği de kafasının içinde birden fazla “manyağın” yaşaması olan Deadpool ile karşılaşınca artık komik olmuyor. Çünkü ortada kapışacağı en ufak zeka kırıntısı yok. Peter Parker alması gereken bilgiyi alana (ya da Deadpool kendi isteğiyle ona verene) kadar Deadpool’un saçmalıklarını ve deliliklerini okuyorsunuz.    Dolayısıyla bu sayı aslında Spider-Man’in başından geçen “yavşak” bir deadpool hikayesi. Spider-Man’n başrolünü aldığı ilk yarıya herkes güler ancak Deadpool’u 2. Yarıya yukarıda saydığım nedenlerden ötürü bir grup okuyucu surat asarak “bitsin” diye okuyabilir.

Çizim tarzı konusuna da bu noktada dönemk istiyorum: Bu sayının çizimleri klasik çizimlerin dışında alternatif,  karikatüre kaçan diyebileceğimiz bir stile sahip. Dolayısıyla deadpool’un yavşaklığıyla dolu bu sayıya bence gayet yakışmış. Demek istediğim öyküyle tarz birbiriiyle örtüşüyor, öpüşüyor, sevişiyor (günde 2 tane bilinçli okuyucuya sahip bir çizgi roman blogu için fazla cıvkı çıkmış şekilde edebi oldum sanırsam). PunisherMax#01′de bana göre olan eksiklik yani. Sonuç olarak aslında hikaye size sıkıcı gelse bile bu neşeli ama tarz sahibi çizimlerle bu sayı kendini size okutturuyor. Bu da çizgi romanın bir tür gücü işte abicim.

Dc Comics tarafında ise Batman/Doc Savage: First Wave bir süredir beklediğim bir yapımdı çünkü bu serinin yazarı olan Brian Azarello’nun önceki işlerinden biri benim daha önce çok beğendiğim Joker Graphic Novel’dı. Joker’i süper güçlerin fantastik olayların olmadığı bizimkine daha yakın bir evren içerisine oturtmuştu. Aynı şeyi Batman’e nasıl uygulayacağını görmek ilginç olacak gibiydi. Fakat  bu sayıyı okuyup bitirdiğim “beklentilerimi çok mu yüksek tuttum” diye düşündüm. Joker’i Azarello’nun ağzından okumak büyük keyif vermişti; Joker gerçek dünyaya yaklaştıkça psikopatlığı Batman’in aksine karikatirüze olmaktan kurtulup daha gerçekçi bir hal alıyordu. Joker GN güzel fakat sinir bozucu bir korku filmi izlemek gibiydi. Fakat Doc Savage/Batman: First Wave bu hissiyattan daha farklı çıktı. Doc Savage çok eski bir kahraman ama hakkında hemen  hiçbirşey bilmiyorum o yüzden atıp tutmam yanlış olur. Azarello’nun Bruce Wayne’i için ise genç, birşeyleri değiştirebileceğine inancı olan, yeni yeni Batman’cilik oıynayama başlamış milyoner playboy denilebilir. Sözde bu gerçekçi dünyada olmalarına karşın DC’ni normal evrenindeki Bruce Wayne’den çok daha az depresif gözüküyor. Hikaye hakkında ise çok çok da bahsedecek birşey yok çünkü ortada sonu başı belli bir olay yok henüz. Bu “one-shot”, daha sonra belli ki yazarlığını Azarello’nun yapacağı DC evrenin supernaturel olaylardan kısmen de olsa arındırılmış halinin bir preview’u gibi daha çok. İleride muhakkak birşeyler olacak ancak yine de başlangıç sayısı olarak daha uzun ve sonu başı belli olan, kısacası daha “vurucu” içeriğe sahip bir sayı yazılabilirdi diye düşünüyorum. Pes etmek yok. Önümüzdeki birkaç sayıda Batman’in bu kovboy versiyonunun kaderi belli olur. Benim inancım var.

Belki de Azarello’nun Batman’i hakkaten daha gerçekçidir he?

3 aydır büyük bir heyecanla takip ettiğim Daredevil’ın yeni sayısı Daredevil #502 ise beni biraz hayal kırıklığına uğrattı. Benim çizgi roman ve dizi piyasasındaki senaryolardan beklentilerim ya çoğunluğun fikirleri ile uyuşmuyor ya da firmaların bize sundukları ürünlerle (bu aslında kamunun büyük kısmıyla isteklerimizin aynı olduğu manasına da gelebilir. Ancak bu konuda birşey söyleyebilecek yeterli verim yok. Errör).. Karakterler için görmek istediklerim, popüler kültüre ait Daredevil gibi çizgi romanlar için fazla uçarı kalıyor sanırım.. Çünkü Daredevil’dan gerçekte çok şey bekliyordum. Gerçek bir “knightfall” ya da biraz kastırarak “knightchange” gibi birşey. Benim beklentilerimi coşturan olay; Daredevil #501′de Daredevil’ın kendi mentorunu, daha iyi bir amaç için öldürmesiydi. Fakat bunun bir kandırmaca olmasının ortaya çıkmasıyla bu heyecanım da ancak 2 sayı sürdü. Kör avukat Matt Murdock hala çok akıllı bir Marvel Knight. Oysa ilk Fallen Knight bu mu olacak diye düşünüyordum. Öykünün gidişatı her ne kadar kafamı bozsa da hikaye anlatımı hala güzel. Çizimler hala yazılı  hikayeden bağımsız karmaşık hafif rüyamsı karanlık bir atmosfer yaratıyor ki bence yazılı hikayeyi destekleyen ve ona güç veren en önemli öğre Daredevil için konuşuyorum. Yani Çizgi Romanlar bu yüzden güzeldir varan 2: Benim için yine hikayenin yan çizdiği ancak çizimleriyle kurtarmış bir sayıdır.

Matt Murdock’un kafa kıyak

Bu hafta ne öyle çok fazla birşey okudum ne de çok fazla birşeyden etkilendim gördüğünüz gibi. Yine en güzeli Punişırdı diyebilirim. Dark Horse Comics tarafından yayınlanan birçok review’da yüksek puanlar alan post apokaliptik macera Sweeth Thoot ve masal uyarlaması ve gerçekten çok güzel gözüken The Marvelous Land of Oz’dan da bahsetmek isterdim aslında ama bu tip çizgi romanların ya bir graphic novel gibi değerlendirebiliyorum ya da gerçekten progresif diyebileceğim bir olay olursa haklarında birşeyler söyleyebilirim ancak. Çünkü; evet güzel gözüküyorlar, güzel okunuyor ve izleniyorlar ama yine de arkası yarın çizgi romanlarından öte büyük bir hikayenin daha ilk paragraflarını temsil ettikleri için “bir macera” gibi değerlendirmek zorlaşıyor. Ama özellikle The Marvelous Land of Oz gerçekten tek kelimeyle çok güzel (iki kelime olmuş lan).

Demek istediğim öyküyle tarz birbiriiyle örtüşüyor, öpüşüyor, sevişiyor (günde 2 tane bilinçli okuyucuya sahip bir çizgi roman blogu için fazla cıvkı çıkmış şekilde edebi oldum sanırsam). PunisherMax#01’de bana göre olan eksiklik yani. Sonuç olarak aslında hikaye size sıkıcı gelse bile bu neşeli ama tarz sahibi çizimlerle bu sayı kendini size okutturuyor. Bu da çizgi romanın bir tür gücü işte abicim

Dc Comics tarafında ise Batman/Doc Savage: First Wave ise bir süredir beklediğim bir yapımdı çünkü bu serinin yazarı olan Brian Azarello’nun önceki işlerinden biri benim daha önce çok beğendiğim Joker Graphic Novel’dı. Joker’i süper güçlerin fantastik olayların olmadığı bizimkine daha yakın bir evren içerisine oturtmuştu. Aynı şeyi Batman’e nasıl uygulayacağını görmek ilginç olacak gibiydi (daha önce şu postta da gördüğünz gibi.) Fakat  bu sayıyı okuyup bitirdiğim “beklentilerimi çok mu yüksek tuttum” diye düşündüm.
Joker’i Azarello’nun ağzından okumak büyük keyif vermişti; Joker gerçek dünyaya yaklaştıkça psikopatlığı Batman’in aksine karikatirüze olmaktan kurtulup daha gerçekçi bir hal alıyordu. Joker GN güzel fakat sinir bozucu bir korku filmi izlemek gibiydi. Fakat Doc Savage/Batman: First Wave bu hissiyattan daha farklı çıktı.
Doc Savage çok eski bir kahraman ama hakkında hemen  hiçbirşey bilmiyorum o yüzden atıp tutmam yanlış olur. Azarello’nun Bruce Wayne’i için ise genç, birşeyleri değiştirebileceğine inancı olan, yeni yeni Batman’cilik oıynayama başlamış milyoner playboy denilebilir. Sözde bu gerçekçi dünyada olmalarına karşın DC’ni normal evrenindeki Bruce Wayne’den çok daha az depresif gözüküyor.
Hikaye hakkında ise çok çok da bahsedecek birşey yok çünkü ortada sonu başı belli bir olay yok henüz. Bu “one-shot”, daha sonra belli ki yazarlığını Azarello’nun yapacağı DC evrenin supernaturel olaylardan kısmen de olsa arındırılmış halinin bir preview’u gibi daha çok. İleride muhakkak birşeyler olacak ancak yine de başlangıç sayısı olarak daha uzun ve sonu başı belli olan, kısacası daha “vurucu” içeriğe sahip bir sayı yazılabilirdi diye düşünüyorum.
Pes etmek yok. Önümüzdeki birkaç sayıda Batman’in bu kovboy versiyonunun kaderi belli olur. Benim inancım var.

Belki de Azarello’nun Batman’i hakkaten daha gerçekçidir he?

3 aydır büyük bir heyecanla takip ettiğim Daredevil’ın yeni sayısı Daredevil #502 ise beni biraz hayal kırıklığına uğrattı. Benim çizgi roman ve dizi piyasasındaki senaryolardan beklentilerim ya çoğunluğun fikirleri ile uyuşmuyor ya da firmaların bize sundukları ürünlerle (bu aslında kamunun büyük kısmıyla isteklerimizin aynı olduğu manasına da gelebilir. Ancak bu konuda birşey söyleyebilecek yeterli verim yok. Errör).. Karakterler için görmek istediklerim, popüler kültüre ait Daredevil gibi çizgi romanlar için fazla uçarı kalıyor sanırım.. Çünkü Daredevil’dan gerçekte çok şey bekliyordum. Gerçek bir “knightfall” ya da biraz kastırarak “knightchange” gibi birşey. Benim beklentilerimi coşturan olay; Daredevil #501’de Daredevil’ın kendi mentorunu, daha iyi bir amaç için öldürmesiydi. Fakat bunun bir kandırmaca olmasının ortaya çıkmasıyla 2 sayı içerisinde bu değişim bozuldu. Kör avukat Matt Murdock hala çok akıllı bir Marvel Knight. Oysa ilk Fallen Knight bu mu olacak diye düşünüyordum. Öykünün gidişatı her ne kadar kafamı bozsa da hikaye anlatımı hala güzel. Çizimler hala yazılı  hikayeden bağımsız karmaşık hafif rüyamsı karanlık bir atmosfer yaratıyor ki bence yazılı hikayeyi destekleyen ve ona güç veren en önemli öğre. Daredevil için konuşuyorum. Yani Çizgi Romanlar bu yüzden güzeldir varan 2: Benim için yine hikayenin yan çizdiği ancak çizimleriyle kurtarmış bir sayıdır.

Bu hafta ne öyle çok fazla birşey okudum ne de çok fazla birşeyden etkilendim gördüğünüz gibi. Yine en güzeli Punişırdı diyebilirim. Dark Horse Comics tarafından yayınlanan birçok review’da yüksek puanlar alan post apokaliptik macera Sweeth Thoot ve bir masal uyarlaması olan ve gerçekten çok güzel gözüken The Marvelous Land of Oz’dan da bahsetmek isterdim aslında ama bu tip çizgi romanların ya bir graphic novel gibi değerlendirebiliyorum ya da gerçekten progresif diyebileceğim bir olay olursa haklarında birşeyler söyleyebilirim ancak. Çünkü; evet güzel gözüküyorlar, güzel okunuyor ve izleniyorlar ama yine de arkası yarın çizgi romanlarından öte büyük bir hikayenin daha ilk paragraflarını temsil ettikleri için “bir macera” gibi değerlendirmek zorlaşıyor. Ama özellikle The Marvelous Land of Oz gerçekten tek kelimeyle çok güzel.

The Story: In a final desperate bid to stay alive, the mob creates a final scheme to kill the Punisher – Operation Kingpin.

What’s Good: How much do you like Garth Ennis?  Your answer will largely determine how much you like Aaron’s approach to Punishermax.

That being said, even for readers unfamiliar with Ennis’ work, this is far, far from a bad comic.  It’s got all the desperate scheming, outrageous gore, torture, and general nastiness that you’d expect from the Max line.  However, for those die-hard Ennis fans like myself, this book is a real treat, one part love-song and two parts nostalgia trip.

This book literally feels like it fell out of a time machine as Jason Aaron channels Ennis so effectively, you’d think it was the man himself.  In fact, Aaron starts the series off right with a scene that is outrageously gory.  So gory is this display that it borders on being slapstick.  Then, in a manner that is straight out of Ennis’ playbook, this grotesque sequence leads to a joke that is both ridiculous and uproarious.   It’s so appalling that it shouldn’t work, and yet it does for that very reason.  This humorous sequence alone shows that Jason Aaron knows how to work this series: it’s all about pushing those boundaries so far past the brink that one can only laugh and gape simultaneously.

The scene also reminds us that Wilson Fisk is a bad, bad man.  When I first heard Aaron’s decision to bring in an alternate-universe Kingpin, I was concerned.  However, I actually found myself enjoying the character.  He’s devious, imposing, and though he speaks little, every word he says counts.  Taking him out of the Marvel Universe also gives Aaron the freedom to explore the character in ways otherwise not possible.  Seeing Fisk fly under the radar or catching a glimpse of him as a family is uniquely enjoyable.

One also can’t downplay the impact of Steve Dillon.  Without him, this comic would not have been the rousing success that it is.  It’s thanks in no small part to his efforts that this book is the callback to the glory days that it is.  The man has not lost a step.  This is clearly the guy behind Preacher and he makes no attempt to disguise that fact.  Dillon’s performance can simply be described as one thing: giving the hardcore Punisher fan what he/she wants.  And of course, Aaron’s gory sight-gag would not be possible without Dillon, who’s probably got a doctorate in that sort of depravity by now.

What’s Not So Good: This book succeeds at establishing its world, but it comes at the cost of Frank Castle’s presence.  The Punisher just isn’t in this book as much as you might expect, what with half the issue being spent on a single conversation between the various mob bosses.  Frankly, you’d expect a first issue to see more Punisher-related awesomeness, but it never really comes outside of an admittedly gruesome torture scene.  Even when the Punisher does get some combat in, he’s relegated to shooting a few baddies in the background while the focus remains on Fisk.  I expected him to be a little more front and center, or get a bit more page-time than he did.

Honestly, I was just hoping for a little more excess and mass murder out of Frank.  Is that too much to ask?

Conclusion: Welcome back, Frank.

I saw Krishna Sadasivam draw a Punisher type pinup and asked myself how it would have looked if he had used Bob Weiner.

Ok, so we’ve all seen batman as a grownup: incredibly awesome and guaranteed box office GOLD. Batman as a kid would be boring: boohoo dead parents and all that. But what about batman as a TEEN?!
BOOMPOW!
Enter Gotham High,
Wait, what is that?
Is that success I smell a-brewin’?
Before I lay it all out, I’ll ease your mind by saying we already have a sequel in the works: Gotham University! (and a threequel: Gotham post-grad!)
Now, strap into your pampers because this movie is going to shit money. Literally.
Batman and Joker: two seniors in high school. They both have built their reputations or the past three years, and now they’re the top dawgs of Gotham High. This means one thing of course: RIVALRY!
They’re totally rivals!
We see them pass each other in the hall and Batman’s like “something smells poor. Joker must be nearby!” Then he and his snob friends chuckle and Batman’s monocle falls out of his face from laughing so hard and he almost spills his martini. Also Catwoman is his girlfriend and she’s the head cheerleader.
Then Joker punches him and the teacher, who is the Green Lantern, breaks them up and is like “superheroes aren’t supposed to fight! Get back to class you knuckleheads before I send you to principal Spiderman!” and they’re both like shrugging their shoulders and looking cool and like “whatever.” They both know mean old principal Spiderman is mad at them for always being rivals and tearing the school spirit in half instead of acting like the brothers they are. Also Catwoman is the joker’s girlfriend and she’s head of the spirit squad.
All of a sudden, this rivalry is about to explode!!! why?
Because Samantha Campbell is a new transfer student who just moved from New York out here to California to attend Gotham High School. And she is totally mind-blowingly hot! You’d better believe it!
So they’re in chemistry class throwing insult-notes at each other and then, in walks Samantha Campbell, and BAM! jaws=on floor. heads=turned.
Batman’s all like “you can sit here Samantha!” and joker’s like “i got you flowers Samantha!” and Batman’s like “you can wear my varsity jacket Samantha!” And the teacher, who is the Punisher is like “everyone settle down! There are two things I know about: Chemistry and punishing!”
so they all sit down, and Batman and Joker make angry eyes at each other so it’s clear to the audience that it’s ON!
So we see Joker at home and hes family’s all mean and his dad’s a gambler-drunk and he’s like “no one understands me!” and he runs into the yard and gets into his purple camaro and peels rubber outta there! Then we see Batman at home and his mom’s like “why don’t you buy her things? That’s how your father and I met.” and his dad’s like “she’s not good enough for you son. We need a family that’s fat with mutual funds and banking! I raised you better than this!” And Batman cries a single tear because he’s rich and rich people don’t know how to cry properly. Then he leaves on his harley, and puts on his leather jacket, which has a skull on the back (skulls are scarier than bats).
Then Batman pulls up to the red light and who should be there but the joker in his purple camaro. And they both look at each other all sad, and we can just tell that they used to be best friends because of family stuff. Then before they can be best friends again, or say a word, Samantha pulls up to the light in her daddy’s ferrari, which is candy red, like Samantha’s blonde hair, which is dyed black now to match the car. Batman sees her black hair and he winks at joker like she dyed it black to match his batman suit. Joker revs his engine and batman revs his motorbike and the light turns green and they’re off! We blast Sammy Hagar’s “Heavy Metal” as loud as the theatre speakers can go, BLASTO!
They race all through town, and Samantha is following to see which one will win her heart, and they both have gadgets in their vehicles like james bond, but the joker’s are all krappy like with duct tape and milk jugs, but they’re still powerful (he’s poor, but scrappy!).
This race signifies that snobs will always be versus slobs in life and teenagers should get used to it and find out who they really are inside, so it’s kind of a feel-good life lesson movie too.
Then they both crash into fireballs in the side of a building that ironically is owned by the evil Daredevil corporation.
And Iron Man comes out of the building in a tuxedo and he’s like “you’ll pay for this damage, you knuckleheads!”
They both look at Samantha, who is eating a popsicle, and they realize they can’t run away like cowards. It’s time to team up and fight together! So Batman uses his gadgets and Joker uses his laughing and they both are winning the fight against Iron Man, but then he turns into the HULK and says “it’s clobberin’ time!!!” they both get their noses bloodied, but after a sweet 45-minute cgi battle, they emerge victorious. They look at Samantha, but she is eating a banana with her throat and isn’t impressed with either of them yet.
So they look at each other and they’re like “i guess now it’s time to fight each other for her love.”
they are both bloody and broken-nosed and batman’s cape is all beat up and then professor Punisher shows up and he’s like Samantha, you’re causing all of this?!”
Samantha says “Mr. Punisher, I really need straight A’s if you catch my drift.” (the audience is like “Oh ho-HO! It’s an erection thing!)
and the Punisher and Samantha walk away arm in arm and Batman and Joker learn a valuable lesson about women and vow never to fight each other again. But then another hot girl comes into the screen (EVEN HOTTER than Samantha!!!), and she’s like “I’m Nadia, the new exchange student from Norway.” Then Batman and the Joker look at each other and make angry eyes and the credits roll as we kick in with ACDC’s “Back in Black”.

Never a dull moment in Amarr…

La estrella del Hip-Hop Eminem está preparando  su nueva película que será en 3-D, que se llamará  Shady Talez pero a la vez tendrá su adaptación en cómic  con una mini serie, que se describe como Twilight meets Creepshow,  en este proyecto están involucrados John Davis y el escritor y productor Dallas Jackson.

Y es que  recordemos que Eminem ya estuvo involucrado en  los cómics cuando apareció en un cómic en compañía de Punisher para Marvel Comics

While Alex is away rallying the forces of his PINK LANTERNS (yeah, I just went there!), EJ and John are left to review the biggest books of the past couple of weeks WHILST defending against zombie hordes.  Dark Reign – The List: Punisher, Blackest Night #4, and New Avengers #58 are this week’s main reviews, and the boys discuss what real world issues could be interestingly dealt with in comics.

Å se folk få et stolbein kjørt inn i øyet med stor kraft, i full HD, er jo artig. Synd filmen ikke er det.

Filmen, som ikke har noe med det andre Punisher-makkverket med Thomas Jane, er en spesiell affære. Voldelig sådan, dog det dukker opp litt dialog innimellom – for de som liker slikt. Coveret lovte meg ganske mye. Deriblant stjerner. Men de biter over for mye, en rolle i Rome og en b-grøsser ikke er nok til at man blir en stjerne på noe som helst måte. Spesielt når karakterene stort sett er klin like. Harde guttebamser som er middels smarte og gråter en skvett når det passer seg.

Ray Stevenson spiller altså Frank Castle, hevneren med hodeskalle på brystet. Og en hjelm festet på hodet, som til forveksling ligner på hår, vet ikke helt hva stylistene har hatt i tankene. Etter en rimelig klein intro med photoshopfiltre og kraftfull musikk, får vi se karikerte mafianisser og Castles likvidering av disse, i noe som må være den mest latterlige scenen jeg noensinne har sett. Er det en voldskåt 14-åring som har regissert dette dillet? Blod, kniver og kuler flyr, der Castle blant annet henger opp-ned fra en lysekrone mens han spinner rundt, skytende med automatvåpen såklart. I slowmotion. Oppbrukt sier du?

Mer irriterende er det at de later som om det er et dyptpløyende plot med FBI og greier. Pretensiøst piss! I andre filmer med lignende galskap og karaktergalleri later de i det minste ikke som om det er en kunstfilm en Oscar verdig, som Smokin’ Aces og Sin City. Dialogen er merkelig og bærer preg av at skuespillerne er veldig klar over at det de sier er ren idioti. Stevenson spiller sin flateste rolle hittil, og jeg gidder ikke en gang snakke om hovedskurken, som er det mest patetiske forsøket på en erkeskurk noensinne.

Og hvorfor gi dette ut på blu-ray? Når de fleste scenene er filmet med et mystisk, mørkt og ‘grådig kult lizzåm’-filter, slik at du kan se hvert jævla korn på din HDTV, hvorfor gjør dere dette mot oss? Vi vil se skjeggstubbene til Castle og telle dem, ikke støv med grønn fargetone.

Some Thoughts Before The Review: I’m a casual Punisher fan. While I haven’t been following the ongoing series (which I hear is really good), I will definitely be jumping on board when the Franken-Castle arc starts. So, in preparation, I decided to check out The List-Punisher to see if there’s anything I need to know about the current direction of the ongoing.

The Story: Norman Osborn pulls out all the stops in order to bring down Frank Castle. When that fails, Norman sends out Daken…

What’s Good: Whether it’s in the form of shock, awe, disgust, or the classic “Holy Shit!” you are bound to have some sort of gut-level reaction to the events that take place in Dark Reign: The List – Punisher. Why? Because Rick Remender and John Romita Jr. tell one hell of a Punisher story. A Punisher story that is so brutal, so intense, and so ridiculously gripping thanks to the showdown between Frank Castle and Daken, it won’t soon be forgotten by this reviewer.

From Osborn’s obsession to Frank Castle’s thoughts, Rick Remender does a great job giving The List – Punisher a rather bleak tone. While Castle is certainly a one-man army, Remender quickly makes you realize that not only is he just a man, but a somewhat vulnerable one at that. And, somewhat surprisingly, the arrogant, efficient Daken turns out to be the perfect villain for Castle to take on as variations on the thrill of the fight is something that has driven both men down their respective paths. When Castle and Daken finally clash, it soon becomes clear that Remender isn’t pulling any tricks or punches. Their violent fight has such a sense of finality to it right from the start that I can’t help but give a round of applause to Rick Remender for truly putting the “Dark” into Dark Reign.

John Romita Jr.’s artwork only adds to Remender’s dark script. The fight between Daken and Castle, from the sewer to the rooftop, is gritty, dirty, and unrelentingly hardcore. You seriously won’t see violence like it in any Marvel book not slapped with the MAX label. It’s not all blood and guts though as Romita does an excellent job of driving the story forward. The hopelessness and inevitability that shines through in the script also shines through in Romita’s pencil work and Dean White’s grimy colors.

What’s Not So Good: For as awesome as The List – Punisher is, there’s no denying that the opening is a little bit lame. Seeing Osborn go all out on Punisher without any regard for anything, gets the book off to a rough, slightly silly start. The entire scene clashes with the rest of the issue in a bad way.

Conclusion: Go buy Dark Reign: The List – Punisher. Rough start aside, it’s truly memorable and one of, if not THE, best List one-shot so far.
