Because of fear we don’t know how to trust our own story. To be afraid, & leap regardless; There is so much power in that, you know. To live into the questions of our lives rather then the answers we already have. To pursue even the unclear. We have this chance to do anything! To reach out to others. To dance on the roof tops. To pray tearfully into the ocean and let go. We have this chance every moment to be living, to be alive. We need  be present for our own life. Find bravery, except your mess, vocalize your dreams, and trust that there is hope beyond the things that scare us the most.

For my American Government class, I will use on a regular basis.  This is my country after all.  I have remembered a lot of what I learned, but my test taking is not up to par.  I am not downing myself, but I do need to take test a lot better.  It is not that I am nervous in taking test, but I am a person that simply do not like them.  I know that they are needed.  I know for sure that I have tests in my life constantly.  Sometimes I fail them.  I do pass them for the most part.

As I have stated, life is full of failures.  Sometimes it allows us to succeed.  I can stress out like everyone else, but I never give up.  I might not do another Summer Semester again, but I have to admit I am grateful to go through it this time.  There is a lot to life that we cannot fully understand.  Even after we pass a test in life, we might not fully understand why we had to go through all the hard times in order to be where we are in life.  That can be ironic while at the same time it can be an out right pain in the ass.

Spite the frustration, we have to go on.  It can be hard at times, but where there is life there is hope.  There is no reason to give up due to a storm.  How I look at it, restraints are very important.  Without them, I would not be in college at this time.  My big one I have at this time is a pinched nerve in my right foot.  I am very grateful for it.  Restraints forces us to focus.  There are too many options out there in life.  When we are given blockades, things can be less complicated.  From there we are all able to focus on what we really want to do under what we can rightfully do in life.

It is always our responsibility to make the right choices.  Others cannot do it for us.  Laws cannot either.  What we have to do is get up from our self righteousness and do things with determination, humility, and integrity.  That is what makes America so great even with all our troubles.  From the start, America has grown from hard times.  We never grow on luxuries in life.

Everyone experiences difficulties, but not everybody quits.  There are a few people who push on – who show up to practice – no matter how they feel.  There is a phenomenon that has a name (but I don’t know what it is) so I’m going to call it “thinking everyone has the secret except for you”.  It translates as the “all or nothing” roller coaster.  We push forward into a new venture (let’s call it lifestyle) and when we come to our first big mountain and slow down to a crawl, we assume we have failed and so we turn back.  We see people who are successful in lifestyle or business, and we think that they do everything right all the time.  We think they push forward with 100% intensity all the time.  We assume that they have ‘something’, some secret strength that we don’t have.  They know ‘something’ we don’t know.

No.

The difference between a champion and spectator is that the champion doesn’t quit.  They know that going the distance means there will be times that they feel they can hardly put one foot in front of the other.  There will be times when there is zero enthusiasm for training.  There will be times that the sacrifice of time and effort seem unfair and pointless.  There will be times that victory seems impossible.

But.

They also know these times will pass.  So they carry on.  They just don’t quit.  And in time they rise above the crowd.  In time, they win.

One more day.  One more step.  You are worth it.  You can do it.

Terrain: Flat on mainland but steep end of day climb on Arran with heavy rain

Another long day in the saddle after the previous day.  However, we had a glorious view in the morning at the YHA hostel.  The guys there were all really friendly and sent us off with a hot cup of tea and toast.

The weather was pretty foul again but not the same level of rainfall as the previous day.  We cycled for a few miles on the small B7000 the hostel was sited off, until we came to the A713 main road to Ayr at Carpshaim.  This road was fantastic as there was a long downhill through some incredible countryside.  I think in all, we must have had the slope in our favour for about 4 miles.

We stopped off at a superstore in Ayr to stock up after the previous night’s food shortages.  None of us wanted to be stuck in that position again in a hurry.  Ayr is a very industrialised town and not particularly pleasant.  Although the cycle route was well marked, the parts that took us through the urban areas, up through Prestwick and Troon, were particularly forgettable.

Fortunately, the route through the forests close to Kilwinning and Stevenston were really pretty and well maintained.  We hardly saw another soul.  The well kept cycle route made the ever worsening weather more bearable.  Indeed, with 5 miles to Androssan where we intended to catch a ferry to Arran, the skies opened.

By the time we made it to Androssan, we were all completely soaked and the level of motivation was dropping almost as fast as our body temperatures.  We timed the ferry perfectly, arriving with just enough time to buy our tickets and board the ferry.  As you can see from the first picture, our bikes were fastened with a single bungee to the side of the boat.  This, however, was sufficient as the crossing was relatively calm.

Arran looked incredible at first sight.  The heavy, opalescent skies looming threateningly overhead as the ferry drew into the harbour.  It was getting cold and our kit had not dried on the brief crossing.  Mary was feeling the worst, suffering from knee problems.  The harbour town of Brodlick was sufficiently congenial but very small.  We soon pushed past the town limits as we headed northwards, towards the other ferry port town on the island of Lochranza.

Our route clung to the coastline, affording us the opportunity to see a sea lion as we rode along.  The absence of traffic was also noted, something that made the final 16 mile push all the more bearable in the rain storm.  The second leg of the Arran ride took us inland, into the mountains.  The drama of the landscape was incredible, a real highlight of the trip as we forced the bikes up an ever steeper climb.  The lashing rain only seemed to heighten the moment, making the scenery foreboding and menacing.  It truly felt as though we were adventurers in parts unknown.

The hostel in Lochranza was great but considering that we had hardly passed a soul on the roads, strangely busy!

* This is not about gossip; it’s about Spiritual Warfare………stay in the spirit and not in the flesh.

This is a story about a mighty man and a mighty woman of God; both faithful and obedient, who became a husband and wife in the eyes of God who also were called to bring forth a powerful ministry together. They have been given a powerful assignment. They were on a mission in this life to minister to families, particularly to married couples. The job of the enemy was to destroy them and their ministry; but what could he possibly do? What could they do to keep from falling prey to the adversary? Every believer, every minister with an assignment from God needs to pay attention.

Hitler wasn’t satisfied at killing the Jewish people (and he did; the Holocaust was very real), he needed to conquer the world. (I am appalled that anyone could think or say otherwise about Hitler and what he did to the Jewish people.) Don’t be naive.

The devil won’t be satisfied to bring down just one ministry; he thinks he can cause a domino effect. He knows his time is short. The work will be cut short in righteousness!

Juanita Bynum was on the Tom Joyner Morning Show not long ago and his comment appeared to have caught her offtrack.

Basically, he asked her if she was a prophetess; why didn’t she know that something was coming.

Wow! What a comment. What a reminder. It is really hard for any of us who walk close with God to know what’s going to happen next. I believe that we all get warnings. For the bible says:

For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Proverbs 3: 12

(Well, that question asked by Tom Joyner makes sense…to a certain degree).

* This is not being said as a criticism; far from it. It’s just that we have to stay on guard.

Being a prophetess or holding any office in the ministry may or may not enable one to see all of the devils snares or traps. However, knowing how to hear from God and allowing Him to order our steps will keep us out of harm’s way when we “hearken” to His instructions. Also, saints of God have to always know that satan wants to handicap and deform everyone that he can. God will take what the enemy meant for bad for Prophetess Bynum and Bishop Weeks and turn it for good.

I know that God loves Prophetess Juanita Bynum and Bishop Weeks.

At her Women on the Frontlines Conference, it was reported that Prophetess Bynum used lines from the singer Beyonce’s song To the Left.

Now many of you may not understand why this is significant. You may think it is being critical of her for using wordly phrases” in her vernacular to minister; but it isn’t. I certainly don’t know what God placed on her heart to use nor does anyone. The dangerous part is that some thought it to be some covert implication that she empathized with any woman who needed to “kick” her husband to the curb and was encouraging it. I don’t even know if that the intent; I wasn’t there. It could have been taken out of context, I don’t know. Since we believe by the bible that we call those things that be not as though they were; many viewed her comments to be detrimental in thought towards her own marriage.

So what we see is that in whatever ministry that you are in, there is a straight and narrow path. It may be popular to move back and forth in terms of what we say to allow people to understand that we empathize and understand the dilemmas that they face, but we must take heed when we do say.

What happened to Prophetess Juanita Bynum and Bishop Weeks? We don’t know what happened, but guaranteed it started days before they hit that parking lot because that’s how the enemy operates. Even a blind man could see that. It should be an affront to all of the saints and all in the ministry. It’s an all out attack by satan and there’s more to come! Be ready! Be prayed up! Be on guard! Pray in the Spirit and stay in the Spirit! Watch out for set ups and set backs! Please continue to pray for them no matter what it looks like.
Whatever your assignment is- push on, persevere; you will be successful if you stay on the path. Learn a lesson here.
