Bill Rodgers jumps in to save Blastoff’s image by calling it an oversight and the retailer has been removed. An oversight?… I guess he’ll say anything to stay in the good graces of the church and public schools. Keep those fundraisers going kiddies!

Meanwhile Blastoff continues to disintegrate behind the scenes as they are now currently using Jango Mail to keep pushing that urge to shop to all their members via email blasts. Apparently they are still unable to get new invitees signed up and are hoping to make up for lost revenue. I guess they still haven’t resolved the black-listing problems. Some million dollar investment!

(If the ‘bit of trouble’ link goes dead I’ve attached a screen shot for your viewing pleasure)

In the early 1980’s, Dr. Robert J. Gilbert Ph.D was an instructor in the U.S. Marine Corps, in the field of nuclear, biological and chemical warfare survival. During that time, he became aware of a thriving sub-culture of advanced scientists who are studying geometric shapes as a key to everything from Human Biology to Nuclear Physics. This includes studies that have been commissioned by NATO.

Dr. Gilbert found that, in experiments in Nano-technology, the study of the control of matter at an atomic and molecular scale, scientists were unsuccessful in their attempts to create matter until they studied sacred geometric shapes, such as the pyramid.

Where there is matter, there is geometry. Johannes Kepler

There are five geometric shapes that have faces, edges and angles that are congruent. Named after the Greek philosopher, Plato, each of these Platonic Solids produces specific energetic effects. The pyramid is one of these shapes. In geometry, the pyramid is known as the Tetrahedron.

The most common arrangement of the Water molecule is the geometric shape of the Tetrahedron. The molecule of Silicon is also the Tetrahedron. Although it is currently Water that gives us life, Silicon can also support life.

When two Tetrahedrons are merged together, they form a Star Tetrahedron - the Star of David. The Star of David is the symbol of Judaism, a set of religious beliefs and practices that originated from the Hebrew Bible. It is interesting to note that, when written overtop of one another, each of the letters in the ancient language of Hebrew form the Star Tetrahedron.

But what is most interesting is that the molecule of a Silicon microcomputer chip is also the shape of the Star Tetra-hedron. The Star Tetrahedron is the electric balance to magnetism. This is how immense amounts of data are stored so efficiently within a computer. It is the shape of the Star Tetrahedron that provides for memory. The word memory takes its origins from the ancient Hebrew words mem, which means Water, and ohr, which means Light.

No one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of Water and the Spirit… You must be born again. John 3:5-7

21 November 2009 Merida, Mexico

On a recommendation from a young travel agent at our hotel, we booked a coach tour to the very historic site of the ancient Mayan civilisation. Located in the eastern section of the State of Yucatan and just 120 km. from the City of Merida, Chichen Itza is one of the most controversial, studied and visited ruins of the mayan world. Its history and chronology are the subject of debates and the fate of its people a puzzle that archaeologists continue to theorise about as excavations continue.

When our small group of 4 Venezuelans, 2 Colombians, 2 New Zealanders, 2 Americans and 3 Mexicans entered the ruins that are Chichen Itza we were all totally spellbound by its size, grandeur and nature.

Our driver/guide, did an excellent job of informing us in both Spanish and English, alternately, and made sure of answering all of our questions about this majestic site.

One can scarcely begin to describe the enormity of the place which in its golden era covered an area of over 25 square kilometres.

Without spending too long in explanation, the most impressive building by far is the Castle of Kukulcan, also known as the pyramid, rising 30 metres from the earth. The five adornments on each side of the temple are 5 x 4, or 20, the number of days in a maya month. This structure is simply unbelievable! I hope our photographs do justice to its enormity and beauty!

take far too long to explain them all, but trust me, try to make a visit at some time of your life to this very special place. We are so very glad that we did.

Our group returned to the bus at 2.30pm, very hot and very hungry, and were being driven to lunch (we thought). However, our driver mentioned he wanted to show us one other amazing place before we could eat, that of the Sacred Blue Cenote (or sink-hole) located at the Eco-archaeological Park Ik-Kil. At 60 metres wide and about 40 metres deep, it is an open well-type cenote with exuberant vegetation and waterfalls! As we looked down inside from our position in the sun it was a sight to see,

with several people swimming in the water way below on this very hot day. A long internal stairway leads to the water and we made the trek down so that we could take photographs from the swimming hole. Here are some of our group smiling happily, albeit with growling tummies as it was by now 3.30pm!

We certainly enjoyed our buffet style ‘lunch’ when we finally had it, which was All-You-Can-Eat. It was teeming with rain at 6pm when we were eventually dropped off at our hotel so we just stayed in and wrote some of our blogs.

We all know it, and most of us have learned the hard way… If it’s too good to be true, i

We all know it, and most of us have learned the hard way… If it’s too good to be true, it probably is!

An old and trusted friend of mine contacted me this week and asked me out for dinner. She said, “How would you feel about coming along to a quick get-together after the meal?”. Always willing to meet new people and socialize I said sure! She went on to tell me that this was a group of progressive, ‘outside the box’ thinking women that get together once a week to discuss finances and investments. I thought… ‘ok, not my cup of tea, but I’ll give it a shot’.

We walk into the home of one of the ‘members’, and I was surprised to find about 30 women seated around a drawn chart. These ladies ranged in age from the early 20’s to late 60’s. The ladies there were friendly, likeable, and trustworthy. Just everyday people. I immediately felt comfortable (except for the chart part… that kinda freaked me out).

So one lady (looking suspiciously like Anne Robinson – “You are the weakest link, Goodbye!”) begins the presentation by explaining that this is a meeting for a ‘Gifting Group’. It began in New York as a “Rent Club” for members to help eachother attain additional funds for expensive rental properties in difficult times. She explained that it is not illegal, in fact undercover police attended a meeting in Edmonton and found the group to be within legal guidelines. It was simply a way to give gifts of money and in the end have that gift returned to them with a much higher value than you had originally ‘gifted’.

She then explained the chart that looked like this:

She explained that each new member to the group was introduced into the bottom level. They gave an informal ‘gift’, usually hidden in inconspicuous objects like baskets or books of $5000. There were 8 new members introduced into the group at a time. Those 8 people gifted their (hidden) $5000 to the person at the top of the pyramid. This makes a grand total of $40,000 ‘gifted’ to the top person. The person at the top had at one point been at the bottom and was pushed one level higher each time a new group of 8 members was added. The pyramid split into new groups every time so that there was always only one person at the top. Once you are a member you are committed to invite ‘guests’ (new recruits) to meetings so that there will be always be 8 new people being invited into the group. The faster people are recruited the faster the members get to move up levels.

Easy $40,000 right? Ya sounds great until you end up in JAIL! I honestly think that the majority of the members and attendees were fooled by the wording (‘gifting’ instead of ‘investing’) and the comraderie of the group. It IS a pyramid scheme and it IS ILLEGAL, and people HAVE been busted and sent to trial!!!!! I went home with 97% of me wondering what I would do with my $40,000 once it came to me, and with 3% of me still a little sceptical. So I did what any smart person would do… I took to the web and did a little investigating of my own. I came accross blogs, watchdog groups, and even news reports warning against these EXACT groups!!!!!!! There were even news reports of busts made in Calgary and Okotoks recently and photos of these nice, kind (naive?) ladies being led off in handcuffs. These reports go on to indicate that being a participant and investing the money is not a crime. It is, however, a crime to lead these groups and it is a crime to recieve the monies once at the top of the pyramid. Of course those who have gifted their $5000 will never get it back if the pyramid is busted. (See links at end of post)

So obviously I decide to do the smart thing and stick with the money I have and earn more the right way. I do worry about my friend since it is her ‘turn’ to receive the $40,000. I just hope that it doesn’t all come crashing down and end her up in trouble and see all of those other 14 people losing their $5000!!!

Moral of the story: If it sounds too good to be true – RESEARCH IT ON THE WEB!!!!!

Chuen, in common Mayan usage, means monkey. Its energy brings the qualities of play, mischief, transparency, humor and artistry to life.

Tone 6 holds the purpose and intent for organic balance. One symbol for tone 6 is two intertwined pyramids, one facing earth and one facing heaven, as above, so below. Six also brings the dynamic of having roots in multiple dimensions, of having dynamic equilibrium and flow.

Blue is the color of the West. Its element is water. Its medicine is for completing things.

I had an opportunity last weekend to hang out with Luke and his parents, Kevin and Kim, at their home in Sherrard for a photo session. Luke is 1.5 years old and at an age of curiosity, discovery and beautiful expressions.

He took a seat on the pedal tractor in the fields behind the family’s home, and then walked around for a bit. He played ball with his dad and hung around Jen, the family dog.

And after exhausting the gorgeous day, Luke sat down to read stories and play with the coolest blocks I’ve ever seen. (Yes, I built a pyramid with those blocks until Luke decided to end my architectural ambitions with a sweep of his hand – and a beautiful smile).

In year 2012 rest on just one of at least three Maya calendar systems unearthed by scholars, the “Long Count,” which began on Aug. 13, 3114 B.C.
The Long Count tracks the duration of what the Maya called “great cycles” of time. The cycle we’re currently in ends on 13.0.0.0.0, what we non-Maya call Dec. 23, 2012.
“I tell my students it is similar to an odometer,” says archaeologist Lisa Lucero of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. “After it hits 100,000 miles, it starts again – but there is no new car, nor does the car self-destruct.”
Worries about the date rest from a Maya inscription fragment suggesting the date’s importance at the site of Tortuguero in Mexico, says archaeologist Kristin Romey, science adviser to Asylum.com. “The only problem is the Maya had Long Count calendar inscriptions mentioning baktuns (millennia) much further in the future at other sites, so 2012 hardly seems the end of the world.”
On the plus side, the Mexican tourist industry could use a 2012 boost, Romey says, after swine flu and violence associated with narcotics. “I’m sure they will be selling a lot of T-shirts.”
In all, the ancient Maya constructed calendars extending trillions of years into the past and future.
“They saw themselves as players in this awesomely long expanse of time,” says epigrapher Simon Martin of the University of Pennsylvania. “Their calendar actually went back longer than the life of the universe.”
If 2012 fails to bring about the end of the world, don’t worry, adds Romey. “There is always another calendar somewhere coming to an end.”

2. Pyramid vs Specimen A – No Games (Original Mix)

1. Vendome (Lewis)
2. Pyramid (Blues for Junior) (Brown)
3. It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing) (Ellington, Mills)
4. Django (Lewis)
5. How High the Moon (Hamilton, Lewis)
6. Romaine (Hall)

The Modern Jazz Quartet: John Lewis (piano); Milt Jackson (vibes); Percy Heath (bass); Connie Kay (drums). This is another very fine record by the incomparable group MJQ. As usual they play with great swing and wonderful taste. This is a strong recording from the Modern Jazz Quartet, with inventive versions of John Lewis’ “Vendome,” Ray Brown’s “Pyramid,” Jim Hall’s “Romaine,” and Lewis’ famous “Django,” along with cooking jams on “How High the Moon” and “It Don’t Mean a Thing.” The MJQ had become a jazz institution by this time, but they never lost their creative edge, and their performances (even on the remakes) are quite stimulating, enthusiastic, and fresh.Such artists were known a lot for their ALBUMS, like Dave Brubeck, AHmad Jamal, Ramsey Lewis Trio, MIles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, and the Modern Jazz Quartet. The artists mentioned above all have trademark album covers and material on them. For the MJQ, this was a common thing. Albums like Django, Concorde, and Fontessa are all trademark albums, and constantly appear in jazz lists and discographies. This album was one of them.

Unless you think making a handful of chumps rich is your idea of a good home-based business opportunity. These handful of chumps may include names such as Bill Rodgers, and Harland Stonecipher. Note that the sheeple who praise them (and the lord) are of the ‘following’ type, they’d rather be part of a congregation that all believe in the same things rather than thinking for themselves… Followers of Christ and followers of anything/anyone else that will take them by the hand and promise to lead them to a life of freedom and riches. These are the types of people Bill & Harland market to, because they know they can get people easily sucked in with just the right scripted persuasion. Then these suckers will go out like pre-programmed robots and recruit more suckers.

Blastoff is just the latest tactic to gather as much money as possible from these people. Not for the greater good, or to make me, my friends and my family rich and prosperous. But simply to make themselves rich. The family member I had mentioned in my previous post had of course approached me to ‘get on board’ with this thing. And they even spammed two of my personal accounts and my Facebook account. I later discovered that Blastoff actually had a video tutorial specifically detailing members on how to spam their contacts. And now their ip has been black-listed all over the place as a result! I also stumbled upon a discussion forum noting how Blastoff had initially registered a hidden ip through GoDaddy (perhaps hoping this would prevent the black-listing issue?), along with some other interesting discrepancies regarding their domain registration, such as a two year domain registration, suggesting the people behind this venture don’t expect to keep it around long.

I could go on about the inner workings of the BlastOff Network and how they’ve been misrepresenting their portal site and their affiliation to the retailers, but I’ve found some links to other people who explain it much better than I would, so have at it, educate yourself:

> Here’s a blog where the author articulately journals their own experience from the beginning of the hype

> Here’s a guy explaining how Blastoff really works

> And if you’re interested in perusing the plethora of technical problems and ignorance members are enduring from the Blastoff Team, check out Blastoff’s GetSatisfaction.com’s customer support forum.

That oughtta sum this one up. But before you leave, please consider helping to stop these MLM & pyramid schemes by signing the petition to Congress to investigate the FTC.

Pre-Paid Legal is one of the longest running pyramid schemes around. > A recent investigative rep

Pre-Paid Legal is one of the longest running pyramid schemes around. > A recent investigative report on its imminent collapse. And I’ve been asked by a family member to join. Of course I said “no thanks”, endured the “it’s not what you think (a scam)” spiel, then proceeded to do my own research, my due diligence… There’s plenty of history of lawsuits and complaints out there that one would think would be enough of a deterrent to stay away from the scheme. Unfortunately a lot of people choose to ignore and continue on recruiting, preying upon those at their genuinely weakest moments when really these recruiters have nothing more than a genuine agenda of building up their own down-lines. And yes, it has been a hard lesson to learn this with my own family member. Best I can do is not communicate with them until they shake free of this destructive mind set, hopefully it won’t take too long. We’ll see.

Coincidentally, some of the people behind PPL seem to have partnered with a new venture in hopes of recruiting more associates via the Blastoff Network. Or maybe they’re just trying to stock up on cash to buy themselves out for the umpteenth time. I’ll write more about the so-far disastrous Blastoff “next best thing to hit the internet” in another post.

In the meantime, I’ve attached some links to help educate you in what’s going on with the Pre-Paid Legal cult/racket.

Most recently:

> Attorney General’s Office Nets Refunds From Multi-Level Marketer

After reading all this, one would wonder how they stay in business. Well we’ll have to ask the FTC. Better yet, sign the petition to Congress to investigate the FTC.

Cheers to an MLM-pyramid scheme-cult-free life!
Stick with honest work and believing in yourself no matter how hard things can get. Don’t let recruiters intimidate you by saying “you must not want to make money” or “you must not want to live to your fullest potential”. Intimidation is not a loving way to treat your friends or family.

The highlight of any Las Vegas trip, the huge number of them makes it impossible to visit every sing

The highlight of any Las Vegas trip, the huge number of them makes it impossible to visit every single one of them on two nights. Or maybe it is possible if you stay up for 48 hours straight. There were so many beautiful ones out on the strip that we weren’t able to walk into, but the favorites of mine that we did have the chance to visit were Paris, the Luxor and the Bellagio (no surprise there). The stinker about casinos is that you can’t take any pictures on the playing room floor because they have such a beautiful setting, especially the Bellagio.

Luxor
It’s been around for quite a long time, and the last time I was there they had a little boat ride inside the hotel for people to ride. The tour boat ride is now gone, but that’s good though, you get to focus on the casino and the hotel itself, and the hotel is quite the setup.

Inside the pyramid you can see that all the doors to all the hotel rooms, which I can imagine is pretty sweet to have a view of the lobby floor and the casino as soon as you walk out of your room. The view from the outside is awesome with the pyramid and the ancient Egyptian statue.

Paris

Now i’ve never been to Paris, but from just how the casino tries to model the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, I think I may definitely want to take a trip and slam a few bottles of wine.

The Eiffel Tower has an elevator ride to get to the top, where you can take some great pictures of the Las Vegas skyline. I wish I had more time to check the view, because I can only imagine it being very beautiful.

The casino inside is pretty interesting as soon as you walk in. You see a part of the foundation of the Eiffel Tower come through the casino floor, where people have access to the elevators. As you walk through the casino floor, the ceilings sport clouds and a blue sky that brightens up the playing area, which is a welcome change from some of the dark and drab casino room floors at other hotels.

The hallway of shops and restaurants inside Paris I can only assume models some of the city streets you can find overseas. As you walk through it leads you to the casino room floor of Bally’s, which is right next door. Now right across from Paris is the Bellagio, and the awesome Bellagio Fountain.

The Bellagio

The cream of the crop is what I gotta say of the Bellagio. The fountain was the main draw to me, because once again playing and gambling isn’t my thing. But the hotel and casino is just gorgeous from inside out. Walking through to the casino floor I passed the shops inside, and with the shops they have you know only the people with good money stay here. The Bellagio was the main hotel target in the film Ocean’s 11, which made it just as cool walking through it. It’s kinda like walking through Chicago knowing that it was the site of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Upon walking up to the registration desk, on the ceiling is a beautiful arrangement of artificial flowers. The colors are eye catching and vibrant, and a photo doesn’t do it justice.

Right across from the registration desk is the site of the Bellagio Conservatory, home of a crapload of fresh flowers and one cool light display that changes every so often, complimenting the flowers, ‘lawn decorations’ and water fountains that is inside the conservatory. Currently it’s in it’s Fall theme, with a very scarecrow greeting you as you walk in.

The lawn decorations I speak of are the things that stick out of my head when thinking about the conservatory. It’s not a bad term I’m giving it, it’s just pretty interesting to see a couple of talking trees inside. it’s something I haven’t experienced since watching The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

It was definitely a fun trip out there and to get away from Chicago for a few days. If you’ve been reading my last few entries, just remember that if you head out to the Vegas desert, check out these spots on top of the other places you see, and don’t take Spirit airlines!

There are some seriously shady people out there making cheesy little YouTube videos in an attempt to make whatever it is their pushing go viral. Usually they’re pushing a way to get rich quick, a way to retire early, a way to get that fancy new car you’ve always dreamed of, a way to take your dream vacation, a way to make money while you sleep…

These chumps always have a link to their recruitment sign-up page, usually at the end of the video or at the Info section of the YouTube posting. These ‘alluring’ links and/or tags often contain catch words like: millions, money, dreams, success, leads, cashflow, residual income, business opportunity, revenue share… you get the idea. The scheme is to get the viewer excited and want to sign up to their MLM scam, networking scam, pyramid scam, or even Ponzi scams. The sad thing is that there are plenty of vulnerable people out there, especially in our current economy crisis, falling for these traps. Usually resulting in, more often than not, silence on their part after they eventually realized they’ve been scammed.

I’ve posted some of these YouTube videos for your viewing pleasure and education. Notice how they often have their comments disabled to avoid dealing with rebuttals that might reveal their scam. Some have comments which they might even try and argue because they truly believe themselves that what they’re doing is running a legitimate business. They have already fallen victim to the mind control tactics used to keep them recruiting, and some people are deep in it.

Would you trust this guy?
Anyone with posture and gestures like this guy is just putting on a show, and clearly enjoying the (cheesy) spotlight.

This woman wants to counsel you on your fears.
She seems sweet, introducing you to her family and such, but she wants to remind you that you shouldn’t let your internal fears stop you from succeeding, and then pitches her 7 day boot camp on how to get leads. Have a great day now, bye bye!

Meet Coach Kenny. He has a disclaimer: This is not a professional video.
No sh**t, give a brotha a break! After he introduces you to his family and talks about how blessed his life is, he pits one MLM scam against another, of course he wants you to sign up with the other one.

The homemade commercial: Acting that deserves… some kind of award.
Classic scenario of breaking out the sales pitch when a loved one is down and out. I can’t believe the girl’s own mother put her up to making this highly laughable video.
