Mother is the most beautiful relation one can have in whole life. Mothers have got natural love and tendency to bear all hardships for the ease of their children. Islam commands kindness, respect and obedience to parents and specifically accentuates and gives preference to the mother.

Islam gave the first priority of obedience to the mother application to the saying (Hadith) of prophet Mohammed (PBUH) that says:

Someone went to Mohammed (PBUH) and asked him “Who has the first priority to be well treated?” Prophet Mohammed answered him “your mother”, He asked “then who?” He (PBUH) answered” your mother” Asked again “then who?” Answered (PBUH) “your mother”, Asked “then who?” Mohammed answered (PBUH)”your father”.

Allah says in Qur’an:

“Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him and that you be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility and say, “My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood.” [Noble Quran 17:23-24]

Through further Quran Recitation we find that emphasize is made on the great struggles the mother goes through for her child, to highlight the need for one to reciprocate their parents sacrifice for them:

“And We have enjoined on man [to be good] to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him and his weaning was over two years. Be thankful to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination.”[Noble Quran 31:14]

The reason why a mother has got high status lies in the enormous load and obligation that is placed upon her, and the troubles that she has to shoulder – responsibilities and difficulties some of which not even a man bears. To take care of babies, to feed them, provide them with best facilities sacrificing her needs to educate her children according. This is why from the most important obligations upon a person is to show gratitude to the mother, and kindness and good companionship with her.

Ben and I have been fairly busy over the past several days; however, we both found a little time to get away from our other assignments at HowStuffWorks.com to record a couple of podcasts. So, what did we talk about?

Well, we started out the week just having a little fun discussing the cars in the James Bond series of movies. Over the decades, the Bond cars never fail to impress us, do they? I’ll readily admit that I’m not a huge James Bond fan (I’ve only seen a handful of Bond flicks over the years), but I’ve always been intrigued by his cars. They do all of the really cool tricks that spy cars are supposed to do — and then some! I’m convinced that we need a gadget man like Q at HowStuffWorks.com to outfit our cars with the latest and greatest, high-tech, spy car gadgetry. Anyway, find out our favorites in this episode and send us a quick note to tell us yours.

On Turkey Day, Ben and I quietly celebrated a milestone — our 100th High Speed Stuff episode! So what riveting topic did we select for this special occasion? How exactly did we celebrate? Well, since we didn’t really know it was a special show until after we had finished recording, Thursday’s episode was simply business as usual. We talked about five reasons to buy a hybrid. So, I guess if you’re downloading our centennial episode expecting to hear flashbacks to previous shows, celebrities calling in to give us encouragement for another 100 installments and fanfare and congratulations all around, well, I guess you’ll be a little let down. Fine anno. È tempo di classifiche musicali, con i migliori album del 2009. Iniziamo con la rivista Q, che concede il primo posto ai Kasabian, e le piazze d’onore ai Florence and the Machine e agli Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Ma stavolta c’è di più: abbiamo anche da inaugurare una lunga lista di album che hanno contrassegnato il primo decennio del nuovo secolo. Ecco qui la classifica di NME, con al centesimo posto uno dei miei preferiti – gli MGMT con Oracular Spectacular – e al primo gli ottimi Strokes. E comunque, la collezione più completa di informazioni la si trova (ovviamente) su Pitchfork.

Se ti ritrovi alle due del mattino coricato sul divano a leggere un libro quando il giorno seguente ti dovrai svegliare alle sette e mezza per andare al lavoro, beh, allora quel libro davvero ti appassiona: questa è legge.

L’ultimo romanzo dei Wu Ming, Altai, l’ho atteso a lungo, l’ho fortemente desiderato, l’ho prenotato, l’ho pagato l’assurda cifra di €19.50 (che diavolo sta passando per la testa delle case editrici?), l’ho divorato nello scarso tempo a disposizione rinunciando ad ore di sano riposo e l’ho lasciato depositare. Risultato? Non è uno di quei libri che rileggerei, non è una di quelle opere che raccomanderei caldamente. Qualcosa non mi è andato giù, qualcosa è andato storto nella lettura.
L’attesa era grande: dopo dieci anni ecco il seguito di Q, un romanzo che ha venduto parecchio e che ha fatto epoca, che letto al momento giusto ti mette fuoco al culo (ma anche se letto in altri momenti: ad ogni rilettura, negli anni, l’effetto rimane immutato) e che tutti gli ammiratori volevano ritrovare. Fortunatamente non è stato così. Nonostante i Wu Ming avessero annunciato il ritorno al loro esordio, nonostante la fascetta pubblicitaria che avvolge il volume e nonostante gli acchiappa lettori scritti un po’ ovunque, dalla quarta di copertina al più minuto commento su Facebook, il libro c’entra veramente poco con il diretto antenato. E gli stessi autori lo hanno precisato a più riprese.

La distanza è segnata da aspetti banali e da altri più approfonditi: si va dal contesto geografico (dal centro Europa ci si sposta nel Mediterraneo Orientale) a quello storico (quindici anni dopo, dal periodo della riforma protestante all’Impero Ottomano pluriculturale dello scontro di civiltà con l’occidente); dai personaggi (da Q sono traghettati in Altai un vecchio Gert/Tiziano/Ismail, una defunta Donna Gracia ed un entusiasta Giuseppe Nasi) al loro peso (Ismail è una cornice di saggezza, ma sempre cornice è, mentre qui i veri protagonisti sono due: Emanuele de Zante/Manuel e, a ruota, Giuseppe Nasi); da una trama fitta, roboante, incalzante, ad una riflessiva, fatta di attese, di introspezione; da una scrittura viva, secca, sferzante, paratattica, ad una larga, avvolgente, descrittiva.
È un bene che Altai non sia una ridicola imitazione di Q: non avrebbe avuto senso, né dal punto di vista della dignità autoriale, né da quello del tempo trascorso. Quei dieci anni pesano, i Wu Ming li hanno vissuti alla grande, scrivendo altre storie, incontrando i lettori, lavorando sulla rete e redigendo memorandum sullo stato di una fetta della letteratura nostrana. Ne ero consapevole mentre strusciavo il bancomat in libreria, ne ero felice. Dopo 54, Manituana ed i romanzi solisti la strada non poteva avvolgersi su se stessa e tornare al principio. Tuttavia, alla fine, il confronto è stato inevitabile, e proprio per gli annunci degli autori e per le frasette commerciali che ci svelano un ritorno sul luogo del delitto.

Quello che mi ha fatto divorare Altai è la tensione verso il decollare degli eventi, l’attesa del botto, dell’azione incalzante. Quello che me non me lo farà consigliare (che non vuol dire sconsigliare, s’intenda) è l’assenza di uno sfogo per questa tensione accumulata durante la lettura: all’ultima pagina si è ancora troppo carichi. Dopo un inizio col botto la vicenda rallenta, diviene pura introspezione e lotta interna, con sullo sfondo un Mediterraneo variegato, mescolato di religioni, culture, colori, spezie ed odori diversi. Poi, lentamente, la vicenda riprende il flusso della Storia, i protagonisti lottano di astuzia, di ingegno, di diplomazia per influenzarla, ma delegano il suo svolgersi pratico ad altri. Quando poi sono catapultati nel vivo dell’azione, è troppo tardi: sono ormai testimoni passivi, impotenti. Gli eventi li soverchiano, li avvolgono senza che essi possano più interferire con essi (salvare una vita è tutto quello che può fare Manuel a Famagosta, parole di Ismail). Il finale arriva con la vertigine della Storia che li ha ormai sopraffatti.
Il libro è rimasto comunque una buona lettura, nonostante la delusione da aspettativa, da mancato sfogo. Il mondo Turco-Veneziano-Marrano in cui le vicende sono calate è di un fascino irresistibile, e la sua descrizione è sensuale. I riferimenti al mondo di oggi sono continui, evidenti, sia per quanto riguarda la Storia recente (persecuzioni, Shoah, Israele-Palestina, Occidente-Islam…), sia per quanto riguarda le tematiche (il ritorno alle proprie origini, la globalizzazione, la differenziazione culturale, l’immigrazione,  il sogno di uno stato utopico, la xenofobia e l’intolleranza religiosa): insomma, non c’è carenza di argomenti forti, e nel testo serpeggia una grande umanità.
Peccato per il ritmo placido: ma questa è sicuramente una scelta ricercata. Mentre Q è un romanzo storico di avventura, Altai è costruito sull’introspezione del protagonista assoluto, Manuel.

Quindi leggetelo, ve lo sconsiglio.

After 4 or 5 prior classes it seems to be catching on, this month’s class is at capacity from as far away as Canada and Australia. They come with hopes to be challenged, and to ultimately validate what they think they know. A full week of testing sensory, olfactory, triangulation, and of course cupping skills in general. Score too low, and go home with a sharper look at your weaknesses exposed, score high enough and become a certified Q grader, just below and you are an SCAA Star Cupper. Regardless, it’s a unified movement to create a common language towards assessing coffee, identifying traits is one thing, effectively communicating is another. The first step is to want to contribute the improvement of the value chain between producer and end user. The second is to commit to exposing your skill set for a week of evaluation and perhaps validation, calibrating your tool kit with others around the globe. Regardless, these steps while not perfect, are in the right direction, giving feedback to producers is crucial, them understanding and reacting accordingly is priceless. Thanks to Ted and staff for the vision of the CQI  (www.coffeeinstitute.org) mission, the big picture becomes clearer everyday. And congratulations to this class of students 100% pass ratio, a first!

In the sweep of Shambhala path both the ultimate Shambhala as in Olympus as an area of the hierarchy of the masters and the smaller shambhala of the process of refinements where we can even begin to see the infinite radiance of eternity as spirit matter, we, you and I and all us ‘beings’ both sentient and not, are various grades of robotic stuff so the directives of AI apply to the tinkerer and the tinked that is all and both robots and investigator creators working in a cellular construction with gravity holding ‘it’ together. space is the place which is more Sun Ra than Star Trek. I loved robocop computer generated flowing images! Lucus Light used Mandelbrot math to overlay layers to get it so ‘LIFELIKE’ woo ho ah huh!

Not sweating the small stuff’ is softening my focus to see the wide horizon and this events single small spot in the long view. compassion for me is thinking with my heart and not the 85 thoughts churned out every second by the gray and white ball of fat between my ears. I am a highly passionate person so I have an interesting dance in my hope toward harmony.
