T-Ara and Supernova regroup with all the members to make a power remix track of T.T.L., Time To Love.

12 might be a crowded number but the remix track has a more powerful force now, especially enriched with a house beat intertwined with even more touching lyrics. Everyone is loving the remix track and I can’t say that I don’t either! The new group reworked and laid down a new track and MV to go along with it. Check out the filming and audio below!

The ‘Sweet Girl’ competition for the girl idol groups puts all the ugly rumors to rest about any competition.

On the dance segment part of the show, it showed the popular girl groups learning the coveted ‘Mister’, ‘Genie’ and ‘Abracadabra’ dance. Girl’s Generation, KARA, and the Brown Eyed Girls all did a mini tutorial before all the other girl joined in. The bonding experience zoomed in on the girls’ love for one another and ended with a shot of them having a conga line of the “Mister” dance.

A picture can say a thousand words, right?

KARA’s dance skills seem a bit more superior then usual when the girls gathered for the first episode of “Sweet Girl” and all of them tried to do the “Mister” dance.

As you know, the “Sweet Girl” show is pretty much the battle ground where girl idol groups go head to head with one another while traveling to exotic places.

So when the show came on,  you see everyone from the Brown Eyed Girls to T-Ara, trying to do the butt shaking portion of the dance but doesn’t seem as successful as the KARA girls.

T-Ara’s getting a lot of attention these days and they certainly grabbed my view when I heard they were performing Big Mama’s Break Away on Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate.

Big Mama is one of the most formidable girl groups and many idols both, guys and girls, still hold their music as one of their most powerful influences. “Break Away” was the single that launched the group into stardom and besides their unique voices, they were what you called idol in a different sense.

I was really on pins on needles with this one because not only is it truly a classic but it’s a very hard song to sing. But the T-ara girls sang the song with justice that it did deserve. Boram, girl, you got some monster vocals.

Since the monstrous number of girl groups have erupted this year, MBC has decided to make a show for the girls to literally battle it out.

On Oct.2nd, MBC will air its first episode of Girl Group Idol Survivor, Sweet Girl. The show will take girls from girl groups, have them battle it out by dance, rap and singing while traveling around to different cities. The final girl will then be crowned, Korea’s Sweetest Idol Girl.

Members that will be participating is as follows: Girl’s Generation’s Sooyoung, Jessica, and Sunny, KARA’s Han Seungyeon, Goo Hara, Park Gyuri, Kang Jiyoung, Brown Eyed Girls’ Gain, Narsha, Je-a, Miryo, After School’s Soyoung, Juyeon, Beka, Gahee, Jeonga, 4Minute’s Kim Hyuna, Nam Jihyun, Heo Gayoon, Jeon Jiyoon, Kwon Sohyun, and T-ara’s Jiyeon, Eunjeong, Hyomin, Boram, Qri, and Soyeon.

Comedian, No Hongchul, of the MC of Infinity Challenge will be hosting the show.

Qri will be playing the role of Mishil’s grand daughter and she will be married off to Kim Yushin (Uhm Tae Woong) in an arranged marriage. This was a tactic of Mishil to get Kim Yushin over to her side and away from Princess Deokman, leaving her in tears at the end of Episode 36 this past Tuesday night.

Qri has been majoring in drama acting in Myongji University and she has also been taking acting classes before her debut with T-ara. She managed to score the role in Queen Seon Duk after an audition.

It will be interesting to see how Uhm Tae Woong (34) and Qri (23) act out a married couple in Queen Seon Duk as their ages differ by 11 years, although it’s likely that he will be treating her coldly, seeing Yushin’s deep devotion to Deokman even though he has married another woman.

Qri will be making her first appearance on the 37th episode of Queen Seon Duk, this coming Monday on 28th September.

Since the release of their single, Time To Love, both groups have been getting more popular and earning some serious spotlight time!

With the hit climbing to the #1 spot on Cyworld digital charts, #2 on Soribada , #1 on Naver, they have now also claimed #2 spot on Mnet. The single has been getting lots of attention and notoriety, launching the duo group into high ranking idol status.

The original project group contained only 7 members but starting in October, they will combine all forces and will go full ahead with all 12 members.

Supernova hasn’t been active for a while so it was a definite surprise to see them hook up with T-ara for a new smash hit. The two groups together might cover the entire stage but the ear candy we’re hearing makes us forget about the massive numbers.

The rap definitely covers most of the song however the song, itself, is pretty smooth. The chorus triggered another song memory and we couldn’t help but think of the trio group Seeya + SG Wannabe.

The lyrics a tugs at the heart strings a bit since it’s something we all can relate to and, the mixed group collab is generating a good vibe to bump to.

T-ara is the group that debuted to the music world through the arts program, Golden Fishery. Right after the broadcast, fans interest for the group went up, and more interest came up once they debuted their title track for everyone.

However, ‘All the controversy that came up about the live performances on the music programs and the drama that Jiyeon is currently working on has blasted us awake of what we really are. We weren’t prepared for what our schedule brought for us, and it sometimes becomes extremely tiring’ was what T-ara said.

Recently, the girls performed songs from 90’s group sensations S.E.S. and Fin.KL. They said that they remember shedding tears when they read that people thought the performance was pure.

Sunbae friends SeeYa and Davichi are always alongside T-ara cheering for them. They always tell T-ara to keep a smile up all the time.

There’s been a huge competition between girl groups in the industry recently. Which is why T-ara’s agency chose to debut on an arts program versus a music program to boost their ratings up against the others.

‘Not too long ago, the girls performed S.E.S.’s ‘I’m Your Girl’ on the cable music variety show, ‘M! Countdown’. Just two days before the performance, we had to rush to rehearsals to know our stage directions and then learn the choreography. But then we realized that 12 years ago, S.E.S.’s concept was very similar to what we have going on right now. The costumes and the music were all very well incorporated with each other, so it was good, haha.’

T-ara’s extremely new to the girl group world. The fact that Soyeon being a previous member in Girls’ Generation brought up in the internet was another issue for the girls. ‘There has been a long history of some of them being together. Even KARA’s leader Park Gyuri was a hoobae to one of us in school.’

Boram talked about the first impressions of the members when they were first asked to become a group. ‘Leader Eunjeong makes me feel like she’s my sister. With Hyomin, I don’t think that I can say that we’re similar because we’re kind of opposites with each other. I thought that our maknae Jiyeon had a very strong charisma. Qri and I came from the same school so that one was a suprise too. Lastly, Soyeon is always doing well with the group and she always makes us feel safer, haha!’

Then Eunjeong talked about her first impressions ‘What I know about Boram unnie is that she’s quiet, but she’s a really nice girl. Qri unnie is the same thing, she’s so much deeper a person that what she is outside. Soyeon unnie is just a huge chunk of charm. Jiyeon looks like Kim Taehee. Finally, Hyomin is really princess-like and I like her honesty.’

When asked about how they are living together, Jiyeon said that ‘There’s accomodation that comes in to our home. Since men cannot really clean outside, women do the job. But when we’re not busy or have anything to do, we normally want to clean everything ourselves.’

Obsessed with modern rock, Hyomin can become a writer in the future. Soyeon along with Eunjeong enjoy black music as well as hip-hop and they would want to cover those concepts in the future as well.

T-ara hopes to win the ‘Best New Artist Award’ in the future. Which is an award that can only be won once in a lifetime. Until that moment comes, the girls will deliver their best onstage and hope of a great future for them.
