Je vous ai précisé auparavant que ce n&#8217;était qu&#8217;un projet minime, sans réel ambition, ne soyez donc pas étonnez par le peu de chose qu&#8217;est mon projet. </p>
<p>Beavy sera un petit bot (écris en PHP donc accessible) destiné à fonctionner sur un chan du réseau irc Quakenet qui est surtout destiné aux nombreux joueurs de jeu en réseau tels que Quake (et ses dérivés), Battlefield etc.</p>
<p>Ce bot permettra de gérer le chan irc mais possèdera la particularité d&#8217;être orienté envers un certain jeu. En effet, il proposera des fonctions permettant d&#8217;obtenir l&#8217;état d&#8217;un serveur de jeu Urban Terror (&#62;4.0) ainsi que de l&#8217;administrer à distance à travers l&#8217;irc: changer de map, cycler, kicker, slaper, parler (en tant que console), écrire en bigtext etc. Le bot sera théoriquement compatible avec n&#8217;importe quel serveur de jeu utilisant le protocole Quake III (3) utilisé par Urban Terror.</p>
<p>Pour toutes suggestions quand à l&#8217;ajout de fonctions, merci de laisser un commentaire ici-même ou de me contacter par irc sur #beavy.</p>

Die vorherigen Versionen wurden bis jetzt nur auf <a href="http://www.derquaker.com/"><strong>derQuaker</strong></a> veröffentlicht, da dieses Projekt für derQuaker geschrieben wurde.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Änderung von 1.4.0.0 auf 1.4.1.0:</span><br />
- Dateigröße um weitere ~200kb reduziert.<br />
- Changelog wird nach dem Update angeteigt</p>
<p>OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, 32 und 64-Bit<br />

<p>Bei der Version 1.4.0.0 habe ich das Hauptaugenmerk auf die integrierte Update-Funktion gelegt, diese wurde nun stark verbessert und erweitert, wodurch sich die Größe des Launchers um einiges <em>reduziert</em> hat.</p>
<p>Es ist nun auch möglich, ein Update durchzuführen, selbst wenn der Launcher nicht mehr seinen originalen Dateinamen hat, die vorhandene/alte Datei wird einfach ersetzt.<br />
Desweiteren  habe ich einige kleiner Veränderungen und Optimierungen am Code vorgenommen.<br />
<strong>Der Quake 3 Launcher und seine Geschichte&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>Im großen und ganzen ist er ein kleines Programm, mit dem man Quake 3 Arena starten kann und in dem noch die ein oder andere zusatzfunktion steckt <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Im Grunde fing alles damit an, dass ich die commanline fenster, welche durch Batch-Files (*.bat;*.cmd) auftauchen, nicht mehr sehen konnte <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
So dachte ich mir, ich schau mir einfach mal an, wie das so mit dem Programmieren aussieht.<br />
Anfangs musst ich mich für eine Programmier-Sprache entscheiden.<br />
Zur auswahl hatte ich C++, C#, Basic und Pascal.<br />
Da ich in einem kleinen Forum angefangen habe Fragen zu stellen, wie man das machen könnte, hat sich ein netter Typ dazu überwunden mir zu helfen.<br />
Dieser programmierte in der Sprache Pascal und so habe ich mich entschieden auch mit Pascal zu programmieren.<br />
Nach tagelangem rumspielen wollte ich schon fast aufgeben, da ich keinen plan von irgendwas hatte <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
Aber dann habe ich mich doch noch überwunden weiterzumachen und so entstand der <strong>erste</strong> Quake 3 Launcher.<br />
Nach einer weile war mir der Funktionsumfang des alten Launchers zu wenig umfangreich war und ein Kumpel von mir meinte&#8230;</p>
<p>Zitat: Mach doch nen Neuen/Besseren, stell ihn auf meine Seite damit er auch Public wird.</p>
<p>Ja und nach einer weile war es dann soweit, der erste Public Quake 3 Launcher war im Internet zu finden <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>So jetzt aber genug Geschichte&#8230; <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

<li>Zusätzliche Commandline für den Start von Quake 3 angeben</li>
<li>bei Server Settings kann auch Port und Hunkmegs angegeben werden sowie Lan/Internet Server ausgeählt werden.</li>
</ul>
<p>Naja, um es genau zu sehen, einfach mal downloaden und ansehen, das Programm ist FREEWARE.<br />

<p>Arm casually slung on the window, mesas rolling in parallax the background sand and blue, the driver turns to us and smiles, &#8220;Hello! Welcome to today&#8217;s episode of  <strong>Magnificent and Sexy Intergalactic Mayhem and Murder</strong>. This here is Jizz Baberella&#8211;&#8221; A wild shock of red, red hair tousling in the open cab, she wears a fuck me mouth and cargo pants under a kevlar jacket. She throws fingerguns at us, pa-pow, here&#8217;s looking at ya, baby. &#8220;&#8211;and A. Shade Darker. Hey, does the A stand for asshole?&#8221; A gloved middle finger wavers in the heat, and the umber man in the trench coat rakes back his long greasy hair before returning his attention to the rocket launcher snuggled against his torso. &#8220;And then there&#8217;s me, today&#8217;s host, Cranky Jo, cropped yellow hair, ugly mug, biceps built like a keg&#8211;&#8221; Wagging eyebrows above hard masticated cigar. &#8220;&#8211;that&#8217;s all of me. The show is starting, let&#8217;s go!&#8221;</p>
<p>The grey city of  technocrats loomed, buzzing with the lazy trajectories of gendarmes like flies above shit. Jizz slipped a hand toward her crotch and shortly her thong was flapping war red on the aerial. Shade sat zazen on the hood. &#8220;Pre-combat rituals,&#8221; winks Cranky Jo, who just grinned like a wolf and accelerated.</p>
<p>JIZZ: It&#8217;s a heist. UFN UFN UFN went Jizz, spread-eagled to all of creation.</p>
<p>SHADE: We&#8217;re gonna steal a city. Shade licked his rocket launcher and turned a passing shack into kindling.</p>
<p>CRANKY JO: Ha ha ha! YACK YACK YACK said his machine gun to the sky.</p>
<p>Here they come!</p>
<p>The sexy stench of Orgone fuel preceded the gendarmes, vicious ships bristling with mind fuck artillery and state-of-the-art gun ninjaz. Cranky Jo aimed his gun and let it do the talking for him while he drove like a madman through the gouts of flame the ships spat at them. A red-eyed ninja crashed into a copse of cacti. Another left a long red stain along the hardpan. Shade made great swathes of flame with his deadly paintbrush. Jizz, her hair wailing in the wind, sniped gendarme after gendarme as she slipped back into her pants. The ships plowed to the ground bursting like pustules, ejecting the dark carapaces of dead state-of-the-art ninjaz. Technocrat modified vultures circled, alighted, their electronic brains bypassed by nervous systems that never forgot the taste of blood.</p>
<p>Leaving behind a tattoo of murder and mayhem they entered the city limits where there are plasma rays turrets and booby traps. The Hum-vee exploded! Jizz landed on her feet. Cranky Jo fell into a turret onto an astonished ninja and immediately began firing blue beams of destruction at the city. Shade, launching at the ground, <em>KOOOM!</em> rocket jumped <em>KOOOM!</em> like a <em>KOOOM!</em> mad frog through the <em>KOOOM!</em> chaos. Black figures swarmed from the city with martial arts celerity. Jizz ran the gauntlet, touching pressure points of ninjaz, and left behind a wake of statues contorted in pain. Shade, crashing with agony along the ferrocrete of a superhighway, leaped to his feet and played shooting gallery with these ninjaz. It rained meat and the vultures, following the trail of death, circled.</p>
<p>A choreography of grace and accident, they fought their way to the heart of the city. Cranky Jo runs up the street, rattling off his old gun, &#8220;Now for a word from our sponsors and we&#8217;ll see you&#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>A baby with a single tooth and a pink bow tied around the sparse hairs of her skull is skipping through a beautiful, heaving meadow in her diapers. Swallows shower the air with their song and butterflies wander through the tall grasses. Rabbits and squirrels scamper with exuberant play around the feet of deer. She is carrying a pair of massive guns, a voice-over intoning</p>

<p>running now through the meadow with guns blazing, turning cuddly woodland animals into pink mist. A butterfly sparkles into confetti and the baby babbles gleefully,</p>

<p>Baby flips a gun into the air and throws us a thumbs up, the other gun shuduh-duh-duh-dering into the sky. A bird tumbles down.</p>
<p>&#8220;&#8230;after the break, where you find we&#8217;re at the jazzing neon sideshow atmosphere of the Technocrat City Hall, a supposedly impregnable fortress. Ha ha ha!</p>
<p>&#8220;Here we go!&#8221;</p>
<p>Ragdoll robots tumbled down the steel and concrete stairwell, firing with incredible precision. Too bad precision has nothing on Jizz who giggled through bullet time and engaged their self destruct sub-routines. The trio made many floors before they exploded, sealing the passage.</p>
<p>They burst into a hall of giant windows trimmed in gold. Hordes of state-of-the-art ninjaz hurtled through each and every one, until the scene became a firestorm of reflection tumbling to the plush carpeting.</p>
<p>&#8220;Ooh, pretty,&#8221; said Jizz, having already grabbed a ninjaz by the ankle to employ as a club. Shade stuck to his guns and noted it was a good thing the plush was the color of blood; that would be a bitch to get off. Cranky Jo just shrugged and sucked on his cigar, leaning on a door frame with his arms crossed. Shortly they picked their way through the litter of bodies and glass, and raced to the penthouse.</p>
<p>The mayor&#8217;s door loomed, somehow silver and gold at the same time, forged of Ultradamantitanium.</p>
<p>&#8220;Shit.&#8221; (That was me, says Cranky Jo.)</p>
<p>&#8220;No problem. Thank our sponsors for this motherfucker,&#8221; said Shade, who fiddled with his bazooka before raising it.</p>

<p>&#8220;Hey, the ad&#8217;s finished?&#8221; said Shade. Cranky Jo tittered. Jizz fumed. Shade shrugged and pulled the trigger. The world turned to gold dust and silver rain.</p>
<p>&#8220;I could get used to this,&#8221; sniffed Jizz, bringing the goblet close to her nose. &#8220;This is the life!&#8221;</p>

<p>Also was mir für Veränderungen zu Q3A aufgefallen sind:</p>
<p>- Der Rocket-Launcher hat weniger Splash-Damage, was ich jetzt nicht sonderlich störend finde</p>
<p>- Die Railgun macht &#8220;nur&#8221; noch 80 Schaden bei Treffer, was ich durchaus begrüßenswert finde, da man dadurch gezwungen ist, auch mal andere Waffen zu benutzen, vor allem im Duell</p>
<p>- Die Lightninggun wurde etwas verändert. Machte sie früher einen konstanten Schaden, egal wie weit jemand entfernt stand (man spricht auch von der 7-7-7 LG), verringert sich der Wert nun je nach Entfernung (7-6-5). Ich persönlich würde das ganze Teil sogar NOCH weiter schwächen, weil es die einzige Waffe ist, die mir konstant auf den Geist geht.</p>
<p>- Overbounce wurde entfernt</p>
<p>- Levels wurden natürgemäß angepasst</p>
<p>Ansonsten dürfte alles beim alten sein, sofern ich nicht etwas vergessen habe</p>
<p>2. Ich habe <a href="http://www.jamlegend.com/">JamLegend</a> eine lange Zeit nicht besucht, aber mittlerweile wurde wohl eine Art &#8220;Erfahrungspunkte-System&#8221; hinzugefügt. Das macht die Sache etwas interessanter, auch wenn ich noch nicht ganz dahintergekommen bin, wie das ganze funktioniert. Wer sich anmelde möchte, könnte das <a href="http://www.jamlegend.com/refer/li/92476">hier</a> tun, dann hab ich sogar was davon.</p>
<p>Ansonsten: Ich spiel zur Zeit GTA. Ich werde mich bei Gelegenheit dazu äußern. Aber es sei gesagt, dass es genauso schlecht bei mir läuft wie Saints Row 2&#8230;</p>

<p>A primeira notícia que vi hoje sobre videogames foi que a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft">Microsoft</a> baniu uma usuária do <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_live">Xbox Live</a> que se identificou como lésbica no seu perfil. A usuária estava sendo perseguida por outros jogadores que diziam que não queriam pessoas como ela perto das crianças. Quando ela foi reclamar, o staff da MS disse que outros jogadores acharam o perfil dela ofensivo e a suspenderam do serviço. Essa não é a primeira vez que acontece isso. <p>Ontem me cadastrei no <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quake_Live">Quake Live</a>. Um Quake da <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id_Software">ID</a> que pode ser jogado de qualquer lugar, através do browser. Até agora não consegui jogar porque a lista de espera é enorme. Ontem quando entrei estava no lugar 65 mil da fila e não esperei. Já aviso que não funciona no <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_chrome">Google Chrome</a>. Segundo relatos da net, o jogo é divertido e os gráficos são parecidos com o do Quake 3, só as texturas são de qualidade mais baixa. <a href="http://www.quakelive.com">Quake Live</a></p>
<p>A <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square_Enix">Square</a> e a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valve_Corporation">Valve</a> anunciaram um acordo para distribuição dos jogos da empresa japonesa via <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_(content_delivery)">Steam</a>. E o primeiro a ser distribuído será o <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_Remnant">Last Remnant</a>, que ninguém sabia que iria sair para o PC. Aliás isso só torna a possibilidade do <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_XIII">Final Fantasy XIII</a> sair para o computador ainda mais forte. <p>Rumores sobre um possível novo <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_Portable">Psp</a> ressurgiram com força esta semana. Mas ainda nada definitivo, só dizendo que a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Computer_Entertainment">Sony</a> está <a href="http://kotaku.com/5160320/perry-psp-2-is-real-could-hit-this-fall">testando o hardware</a> e que ele não terá o <a href="http://kotaku.com/5160033/rumor-psp-2-wont-have-umd-drive">drive de UMD</a>. Acho meio estranho, já que a Sony está fazendo força para revitalizar o portátil dela este ano, com uma boa quantidade de jogos, que já falei no post de ontem. Via Kotaku.</p>
<p>E é claro, a vergonha de se morar em Brasília. Esta semana um indivíduo manteve uma senhora refém em uma das cidades satélites do Distrito Federal, e ele o fez com uma pistola do <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_system">Master System</a> (olha a foto lá em cima). A <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_system#Light_Phaser">Light Phaser</a> era a pistola utilizada para jogar <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zillion_(anime)">Zillion</a> entre outros jogos, mas a polícia agiu como se fosse de verdade. Eто акцентите:</p>
<p><span style="color:#ff9900;"><strong>MTV Multiplayer:</strong></span> И id в момента работи на заглавие ексклузивно за <a href="http://strangera.com/category/apple/ipod-touchiphone/">iPhone</a>?<span style="color:#888888;"><strong><br />
<span style="color:#ff9900;">Carmack:</span></strong></span> В действителност в момента правим доста неща с <a href="http://strangera.com/category/apple/ipod-touchiphone/">iPhone</a>-а. Имаме два комерсиални проекта който са почти готови. Взехме една от старомодните ни мобилни игри, “Wolfenstein RPG” (бел.ред наскоро писах за това <a href="http://strangera.com/2009/02/21/wolfenstein-rpg-2/">тук</a>) която преди време беше пусната за <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BREW">BREW</a> и Java платформите, и я &#8220;поизтупахме&#8221; за една <a href="http://strangera.com/category/apple/ipod-touchiphone/">iPhone</a> версия, като добавихме hi-res графика, аудио и 3D ускорение и разни други екстрички. Получи се доста спретнат продукт <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Най-вероятно ще я пуснем на пазара след около месец, два считано от днешна дата. Но реално това не е изградена специално за <a href="http://strangera.com/category/apple/ipod-touchiphone/">iPhone</a>-а игра. Имаме и едно друго заглавие, което още не е обявено официално, и за което работим с партньорска компания тук локално в Далас. Тя още от началото е проектирана като игра за <a href="http://strangera.com/category/apple/ipod-touchiphone/">iPhone</a> но използва и някой от активите на id. Графично заглавието изглежда доста впечатляващо, но още нямаме официална релийз дата. В момента правим различни промени в разработката. Иначе буквално преди да дойда за интервюто човърках из някой от старите ни заглавия. Наистина очаквам да докараме някой от класическите id игри, започвайки с “Wolfenstein 3D” и минавайки през “<a href="http://strangera.com/category/games/doom-games/">Doom</a>” и “Quake” за iPhone-а, защото аз съм голям поддръжник на платформата. И честно казано съм малко разочарован, че все още нямаме готови продукти за нея. Имахме няколко неуспешни опита с различни неща, и тъй като това ме разочарова се опитвам да направя нещо по-въпроса [смее се].</p>

Имаме “Quake III” напълно работещ на iPhone. Разбира се, има нужда от редизайн на рендърите, за да го направим достатъчно бърз и добър за игра на платформата. Всъщност имам интересно решение за това. За да заобиколим всички тези проблеми, можем да се върнем малко назад и да вземем промените който “<a href="http://strangera.com/?s=Quake+Live">Quake Live</a>” eкипа направи по оригиналният код и да направим модерна “Quake III Arena” базирана на “<a href="http://strangera.com/?s=Quake+Live">Quake Live</a>”. Това би било доста яко.</p>

Та в общи линии в момента id портват  <a href="http://strangera.com/2009/02/21/wolfenstein-rpg-2/">“Wolfenstein RPG”</a> и работят по-друго заглавие специално за <a href="http://strangera.com/category/apple/ipod-touchiphone/">iPod Touch и iPhone</a> което ще обявят в близкото бъдеще.<br />
Освен това в главата на Carmack се върти идея за <a href="http://strangera.com/?s=Quake+Live">Quake Live</a> за <a href="http://strangera.com/category/apple/ipod-touchiphone/">iPhone</a>, но това надали ще стане скоро (обаче ще избие рибата) и също така гейм гурото обмисля портването на класическите им заглавия като <a href="http://strangera.com/category/games/doom-games/">Doom</a> и &#8220;<a href="http://strangera.com/category/games/wolfenstein/">Wolfenstein</a>&#8220;.<br />

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>De häftiga grabbarna på <a href="http://idsoftware.com/">Id Software</a> (ja, de var iaf häftiga på 90-talet) har precis öppnat dörrarna för <a href="http://quakelive.com/">betan till Quake Live</a>. Quake Live är en webbanpassad version av <a href="http://www.idsoftware.com/games/quake/quake3-arena/">Quake 3</a>, med lite annorlunda utseende och ett flertal nya banor och spelvarianter.</p>
<p>Quake 3 är ett rätt så gammalt (men naggande gott) spel. Det häftigaste med Quake Live är dock inte spelet i sig, utan den affärsmodell som tillämpas för det. Att spela Quake Live kostar inget. Det är gratis, som i gratis på riktigt. Spelet finansieras av reklam.</p>
<p>Reklamen kommer att visas i spelet. Exakt hur framgår inte riktigt än, men med tanke på att reklam visas relativt smidigt i andra sporter (dataspel är på många sätt en sport) så lär det nog gå bra ihop. Att det finns en intressant målgrupp för annonsörerna är utom all tvekan.</p>
<p>Id är inte ensamma om att tänka i dessa banor. Det <a href="http://dice.se/">svenska spelföretaget Digital Illusions CE</a> (Dice) håller även på att utveckla ett reklamfinansierat dataspel, med inslag av mikrotransaktioner, vid namn <a href="http://battlefield-heroes.com/">Battlefield Heroes</a>. Av en slump har Dice släppt ett stort antal nya betakonton idag också. </p>
<p>Men om inte Id skalar upp infrastrukturen för Quake Live så har Dice inte mycket att oroa sig över. Efterfrågan är, milt uttryckt, rätt så stor. Jag försökte logga in ikväll, bara för att få besked om att närmare 30 000 personer stod före mig i kö. Ouch!</p>
<p>Men hur bra kan ett webbaserat dataspel egentligen vara? Tja, döm själva.</p>

<p>Quake Live is a modified version of Quake 3 and will be a free ad supported web based game. If this proves successful we may see more titles taking this route, if I am not mistaken The Witcher developers are trying the same for their flagship title The Witcher.</p>

<p>First of all the top searches of my blog say: need for speed underground, need for speed underground 2 down and need for speed drag race. It&#8217;s redirecting people to here, while all there is here is a review. Therefor I will unpublish the nfs posts, since my blog doesn&#8217;t do piracy and other posts should be given the chance to.</p>
<p>Second, I&#8217;m tired of listening to my mp3, I got nearly no new songs whatsoever. Or the music industry just doesn&#8217;t make any new music, which I seriously doubt. Also, I used to share music with friends, which now isn&#8217;t the case anymore, that&#8217;s an important factor for losing grip on current celebrated songs. So, I&#8217;m going to look for PodCasts, Comedy preferred, since laughing is good for me. If anyone would ever read this and knows a podcast, please recommend <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>And damn, I&#8217;m getting tired of school. I&#8217;m bored, but not just bored, <strong>seriously</strong> bored! School is no challenge anymore and that&#8217;s how I want to keep it, but I&#8217;m just tired of waking up every morning going to school for over 8 hours and come home knowing I&#8217;ve learnt something, but it&#8217;s just not worth going to school for every day. It doesn&#8217;t matetr if it&#8217;s a subject that interests me or I&#8217;m good at, I just want to leave. The worst thing is it get&#8217;s worse every year, every year the feeling of tiredness starts earlier and I do wanna do fun stuff, but I just can&#8217;t: &#8217;cause maybe my results will go down with it. Shit, I think I&#8217;m going nuts. &#8220;Don&#8217;t fall asleep!&#8221;, &#8220;Pay attention!&#8221;, &#8220;Stay silent!&#8221; and &#8220;You do that one more time and I&#8217;mma punish you!&#8221; are common phrases that when they say those to me, I care too much. I just want to leave as soon as possible!</p>
<p>In other news, I might be playing in the Nations Cup for my home country Belgium tomorrow in Quake 3. They&#8217;ve got a lack of players and I applied to jump in, I really suck. Good luck to me!</p>

<description><![CDATA[Después de instalar Ubuntu en mi Aspire one, decidí probar las capacidades gráficas del aparatito. A]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Después de instalar Ubuntu en mi Aspire one, decidí probar las capacidades gráficas del aparatito. Así que nada mejor que un jueguito en 3D. Opte en principio por Quake 3.</p>
<p>Primero baje el <a href="ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/quake3/linux/linuxq3apoint-1.32b-3.x86.run"> instalador</a> desde la pagina de <a href="ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/quake3/linux/"> id Software.</a> De el cd de instalación del Juego tomaremos los archivos con terminación pk3. Son nueve en total (pak0.pk3, pak1.pk3&#8230;pak8.pk3). Si no tienes el cd del juego puedes conseguirte una copia en la web, pues dudo que puedas conseguirlo en alguna tienda.</p>
<p>Abres la terminal y tecleas:</p>
<blockquote><p>sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/games/quake3/baseq3</p></blockquote>
<p>En el directorio que acabas de crear /usr/local/games/quake3/baseq3 copias los archivos con terminación pk3.</p>
<p>Ahora desde la carpeta donde bajaste el instalador tecleas en la consola:</p>
<blockquote><p>sudo sh ./linuxq3apoint-1.32b-3.x86.run</p></blockquote>
<p>Seguimos los pasos y al final tendremos Quake 3 instalado en nuestra maquinita.</p>

<p>Hubo un pequeño problema, no se escuchaba, tengo entendido que quake funciona bien con el sistema de sonido oss, pero desde hace algunos años la mayoría de las distribuciones linux usan <a> alsa.</a> En esas andaba cuando descubri <a>Open Arena</a> un juego 100% libre que usa el mismo motor gráfico de quake 3. ¿su instalación? De lo mas sencillo, solo tecleas desde la consola:</p>
<blockquote><p>sudo apt-get install openarena</p></blockquote>
<p>Lo cual descargara dos ficheros, necesarios para su instalación: openarena y openarena-data, con un peso de 281 megas. Dependiendo de nuestra conexión a internet sera el tiempo que dure la descarga, para después disfrutarlo desde la comodidad de nuestra aspire one.</p>

<p>Los gráficos del open arena son bastante buenos, claro no se comparan con los juegos de última generación, la fluidez y el sonido son excepcionales, además de sus posibilidades multijugador a través de la red. En lo personal recomiendo este último por su calidad y desempeño. Claro que puedes optar por tener ambos juegos y presumirle a tus cuates de las posibilidades de tu aparatito desde Ubuntu linux.</p>
