Es Quasimodo, el jorobado campanero sordo descrito en “Nuestra Señora de París”, célebre novela de Víctor Hugo, quien nos enseña que no todos los monstruos mostrados o exhibidos como tales son necesariamente monstruos. Muchas veces los monstruos, entendiendo por tales a seres protervos, malignos, e inhumanos, son aquellos que los inventan o señalan.

Digo esto a propósito de la enorme cantidad de monstruos recientemente descubiertos para escarnio y repulsa general en el país. Los hay de todo tipo y condición social, y aunque sus actos, los que les imputan, sean reprobables, no puedo dejar de expresar cierta sospecha y extrañeza al reconocer a sus principales acusadores.

El caso de la empresaria Susan Hoefken, por ejemplo, aquella que denunció al parecer falsamente el robo de un pulmón de la exhibición: “El Cuerpo Humano: real y fascinante”, para conseguir más visitantes o, como diría García, para “ganarse cuatro billetes”, provocó la indignación de muchísima gente siendo el más severo el propio presidente de la República.

Para el jefe de Estado esa mujer no merecía ser peruana, por el daño que causó a la imagen del país con su presunta falsa denuncia, “¡Qué crueldad! ¡Qué maldad!.” repitió García, sin acordarse que millones de compatriotas dijeron lo mismo ante el desastre económico que fue su primer gobierno. Y García sigue siendo peruano, y a pesar de la maldad y crueldad de esa ruinosa gestión, se le ha encargado otra vez la administración del país. Pero, francamente, quién hizo más daño al país, Susan Hoefken o Alan García?

Otro monstruo reciente es Ronny Ramos Pérez, más conocido como “Bolón’. A este joven barrista de la “U” se le señala como responsable de la muerte de María Paola Vargas Ortiz, a quien habría empujado de un vehículo en movimiento. La muerte de la joven contadora es un hecho terrible y todos queremos sanción para quienes resulten culpables de esta tragedia. Pero lo mismo queremos para los criminales de Putis, o aquellos otros que perpetraron la barbarie en los penales, en 1986. Que yo sepa, nunca García ha dicho que los monstruos de Putis o el Frontón hicieron y hacen daño al país, y por tanto no merecen ser peruanos. Y ninguno de esos monstruos ha sido encerrado, como “Bolón”. Hasta ahora.

Y el monstruo que conocimos hace unos días apenas se llama Víctor Ariza Mendoza, suboficial técnico FAP que habría vendido información confidencial a Chile. Espía, infidente, traidor a la patria, o todas las anteriores. Es natural que la deslealtad que involucra favorecer a un real o potencial adversario nos indigne y asquee, pero para ser coherentes deberíamos tener la misma intolerancia frente a quien ha convertido la mentira, el abuso y la soberbia en sinónimos de quehacer político.

No estoy sugiriendo que los “monstruos” Susan Hoefken, “Bolón”, o Víctor Ariza sean todos como Quasimodo, que finalmente conocimos como la encarnación de la bondad, el coraje y la belleza interior, sino que podrían haber otros realmente villanos y malvados que se regocijan distrayéndonos con otros ridículos, pero menos perversos.

Well its Friday night and I’m home reading Proust.  I can’t decide if this makes me really intellectual and cultured or just nerdy.  I think I’ll let you make the call.

But part of the reason I’m spending my Friday night thusly is because I’m enjoying this book so much.  So far its a corker!  Sure there’s some room for complaint…let me enumerate

• Not a lot happens. I’m on page 43 and this guy is still in bed.  At this rate this 450 page book is going to end at breakfast.  And where are the damn madeleines?  Bring on the cookies!

• Some of the metaphors are a little…extended. For instance:

My mother did not come, and with no consideration for my pride (which was invested in her not denying the story that she was supposed to have asked me to let her know the results of some search) asked Francoise to say these words to me: “There is no answer,” words I have so often since then heard the doormen in grand hotels or the footmen in bawdy houses bring back to some poor girl who exclaims in surprise, “What, he said nothing? Why, that’s impossible! Did you really give him my note? All right, I’ll go on waiting.”  And–just as she invariably assures him she does not need the extra gas jet which the doorman wants to light for her, and remains there, hearing nothing further but the few remarks about the weather exchanged by the doorman and a lackey whom he sends off suddenly, when he notices the time, to put a customer’s drink on ice…

Um..what were we talking about?  What was that doorman like?

• The narrator’s a little creepy. The little dude is staring at his mom’s face planning where he’s going to give her a kiss.  That’s a little weird.

But I like it…and I can’t decide if its because of the idiosyncracies listed above or in spite of them.

Here’s something I know I like.  The narrator as a little boy thinking “I had heard people say that George Sand was an exemplary novelist.”  What a delightfully nerdy little kid!  I’m probably just jealous because when I was little I wasn’t so much weighing the relative merits of gender-conflicted novelists as trying to be funny because I thought that when people on TV watched TV they were watching us.

And don’t worry…I’ve just come to expect that you identify with every major character in fiction from The Hunchback of Notre Dame’s Quasimodo to The Secret Garden’s Colin (I’ve told you…it’s not that noticeable).  And I imagine it will continue…when we read Moby Dick you’ll be Ahab, when we read Watership Down you’ll be a bunny.

Well I think I’ve written enough for one night (Proust makes me wordy…its contagious!).

 Hoje, o MAIS QUE INDICO fica com o musical, Fancês- Canadense Notre dame de Paris. Lembra daquele filme, da disney que mostra de uma forma ludica e muito bonitinha a história de Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Frollo, Phoebus? Huuum, Ok, se só lembra de Quasimodo não tem problema e já é um começo.

Ambos, musical e filme da disney são inspirados na obra de Victor Hugo, que tinha a intenção de mostrar um certo conflito não apenas com os personagens, nutrindo cada um da sua forma, um amor por Esmeralda, mas mostrar tambem a vida que as pessoas levavam no fim do século XV. Lógico que o filme, direcionado a crianças não vai sair mostrando todo esse conflito etnico-social, mas, o musical, de certa forma demonstra um pouco disso, como na música 2 les sans papiers, que diz mais ou menos isso:

Uma das musicas mais adoradas por quem conhece o musical é Belle, cantada por Quasimodo, Frollo e Phoebus, nela, cada um canta mais ou menos o que sente. L’Assessore all’Istruzione ed Edilizia scolastica della Provincia di Milano, Marina Lazzati, illustra il progetto del nuovo plesso approvato in Consiglio comunale a Magenta lo scorso 5 novembre.

La provincia di Milano realizza la nuova sede del liceo Quasimodo: un intervento da 4.5 milioni di Euro per il territorio del magentino

Progettazione all’avanguardia: edilizia eco-compatibile, fonti rinnovabili e efficienza energetica. In prospettiva un unico plesso.

“Il Liceo Classico Quasimodo a Magenta è sicuramente un polo di eccellenza del territorio, con un trend di iscrizioni costantemente in crescita. Proprio per questo fattore la Provincia di Milano ha deciso di programmare la costruzione di un nuovo polo scolastico per accogliere l’intera autonomia. Attualmente, infatti, il liceo è dislocato in due sedi separate. La  principale, in via Volta, consiste in un edificio di proprietà comunale in uso alla Provincia di Milano. La seconda sede è collocata in un edificio prefabbricato di 12 aule in via Colombo anch’esso di proprietà comunale.

Per dare corso all’operazione, la Provincia di Milano ha individuato nell’area di sua proprietà, adiacente al Centro Scolastico “Bramante” di via Trieste, il luogo idoneo per realizzare la  nuova costruzione da adibire a sezione distaccata del Liceo Quasimodo. Il progetto, approvato dalla Provincia quest’anno prevede la realizzazione di 19 classi, 5 laboratori (1 di chimica/biologia, 1 di fisica, 2 di informatica, 1 di scienze), segreteria, sala riunioni e palestra. L’intero complesso sarà interamente finanziato dalla Provincia per un importo di 4.500.000 euro.

L’edificio è stato progettato con un’alta attenzione rivolta alla sostenibilità ambientale, ottenuta attraverso l’uso di materiali eco-compatibili, la completa eliminazione dei ponti termici nel rivestimento murario al fine di eliminare le dispersioni termiche e ottimizzarne l’efficienza energetica. Inoltre, l’immobile sarà attrezzato con dispositivi per la produzione di energia da fonti rinnovabili (pannelli fotovoltaici) e la produzione di acqua calda con pannelli solari.

Per il futuro, la Provincia ha in programma un ulteriore sviluppo delle strutture da destinare al Liceo Quasimodo al fine di riunire un unico centro scolastico tutte le classi e quindi eliminare il disagio dovuto alla presenza di più plessi tra loro distanti.

Il progetto ha già ottenuto il parere favorevole dal Comando dei Vigili del Fuoco in e dalla locale A.S.L. Con l’approvazione del Consiglio Comunale di giovedì 5 novembre l’intervento potrà essere appaltato.

Una de las grandes obras del cine que nos ha dejado la factoria de Disney es El Jorobado de Notre Dame. El filme, dirigido por Gary Trousdale y Kirk Wise, se estrenó en 1996 y está basado en la obra literaria Nuestra Señora de París del francés Victor Hugo. Es de las pocas película de Disney que en España tanto el actor de doblaje de diálogo como el musical es el mismo (excepto en Esmeralda). Esto le da una calidad superior a la película, que nada tiene que envidiarle a los grandísimos clásicos La Sirenita, La Bella y la Bestia o Aladdín. La fotografía es sencillamente espectacular. Me atrevería a decir que es de las mejores, si no es la mejor, de todas las películas Disney en animación. La música corre a cargo del multiaclamado Alan Menkel, el mismo compositor de la mayoría de los grandes éxitos de la época dorada de los 90.

No sólo la realización de esta película es espectacular. El guión tiene doble cara. Por una parte, es una historia infantil, apta para todos los públicos con sus personajes y toques graciosos como toda película Disney. Por otra parte, tiene un trasfondo de tragedia que acaba bien. Quasimodo, un niño deforme, es niño huerfano que es adoptado por Frollo (y a la vez asesino de su madre), un malvado funcionario de París. Este lo encierra en Notre Dame debido a su terrible fealdad privándole de toda libertad, pero proporcionándole una educación. Quasimodo, al fin, se deja ver en el festival que se celebra cada año en París, a los pies de Notre Dame. A partir de ahí empezará una historia a la que no le faltará acción, humor y lágrimas. Todo esto, cómo no, acompañado de unas grandísimas voces.

¿Por qué he escrito esta entrada haciendo una reseña de una película que se estrenó hace 13 años? Porque me he puesto a escuchar la banda sonora y mi mente se ha puesto a reflexionar a cerca de los valores tan fuertes que esta película propone. Si hace muchísimos años que no la ves, te invito a verla desde una perspectiva adulta. Te aseguro que la visión que tendrás sobre esta película será muy diferente de la que tuviste cuando la viste por primera vez (si la viste de peque). Si eres de los que no la ha visto, descárgatela, cómprala o pídesela a alguien y vela ya!

Traian Basescu are insomnii ,este tot mai tensionat ,iar tremurul mainilor ,abia daca il mai atenueaza cu cateva sticle de alcool ,care ii inunda creierii zilnic.

E drept ca ne-a demonstrat ca a citit si altceva ,decat etichetele sticlelor de bauturi, atunci cand ,preocupat de starea jalnica a poporului ,caruia i-a facut urari de bine, s-a infiintat intr-o emisiune de divertisment ,unde a facut dovada calitatilor sale de bufon ,recitind o compozitie in versuri, precum cele scrise in oracolele scolare sau pe peretii toaletelor, care se sfarsea cu o floare pe mormantul maica-sii.Basescu ,bufonul ,a hahait ,a bocit,a uitat versurile ca mai apoi, in mod surprinzator ,sa si le aduca aminte si sa le redea cursiv ,in acest timp cand Basescu era bufonul micului ecran,mama acestuia ,care nu se afla nici pe departe in mormant, se afla internata la un spital iar a doua zi urma sa sufere o operatie ,deosebit de grea.Oare cui i se potriveste mai bine zicala :”Tara arde si baba se piaptana”?

Traian Basescu agonizeaza ,galopant,ca o furie nebuna.Este furia sfarsitului ,a sfarsitului total, al omului politic, Traian Basescu !

Dupa o noapte alba ,mahmur a navalit la un post national de radio preocupat mai mult decat de soarta maica-sii ,de soarta Elenei Udrea, in idiotenia sa, a capatat

un lapsus ,referitor la separatia puterilor in stat:cum sa soliciti tu ,presedinte de stat, ca o ticaloasa care a furat, sa nu fie pedepsita?Apropo:Udrea i-o fi scris, poezia?

Traficantul international, de armament ,Traian Basescu ,disperat, a aruncat in campania electorala ,paralela,pe care o desfasura ,asa ca o nada,un fel de „atentia la mine”, o gaselnita ,nu cea din urma,legalizarea prostitutiei si a consumului de droguri usoare.

Asta dupa ce ,ani in sir ,ca o mironosita,a pingarit biserici ,slujbele sale diavolesti au inlocuit pe cele crestinesti, tinute de preoti,asta dupa ce, in vazul presei ,a primit icoane care au aterizat, claie peste gramada ,in portbagajul prezidential…eu cred ca acolo au ramas:ce sa faca diavolul din Basescu cu ele ?

Ca si cand biserica, ar incuviinta ,aceste naravuri ,incurajate de tartorul Basescu,acesta s-a protapit la Targoviste , spre oroarea mea,la poze cu inaltele fete bisericesti…Deh,Dumnezeu vede,sfintite fete bisericesti !Asa i-am spus unui popa, caruia ii dadusem bani ,pentru biserica, si el isi schimbase limuzina.Dumnezeu sa-l ierte si sa-l odihneasca,a murit de tanar….

Diavolul are un nume:Basescu !

Oare traficantul international de arme ,are ceva droguri, din barter, in „stoc” si nu are piata de desfacere ,acum cand Viktor Bout e la racoare?Da,intr-adevar, Romania ar fi o piata foarte sigura…dar mai ales ,usor de controlat...,

Naravit ,sa apara la televizor,in aburii alcoolului ,in timp ce rememora maretul episod cu „322” ,a ticluit un alt rahat :referendumul pentru parlamentul unicameral.Basescu,proxenetul national ,avea reteta ,de fraudare a voturilor, de la acel referendum ,e drept ca mai apoi, ca si in privinta demisiei a intors-o „ca la Ploiesti”…

A fost oare ,o replica la cutezanta acelei comisii parlamentare, care i-a necinstit ibovnica, facand-o „hoata” ?…a fost o incercare de  deviere a atentiei publice, de genul diversiunii George Becali ,atunci cand Mircea Basescu gafase magistral ,pe posturile de televiziune ,cand acestea dezvaluiau matraplazlacurile:Mircea a furat si Traian a acoperit?Cam asa ,bine zice ,domnul Sorin Rosca Stanescu…

A fost un gest cavaleresc?…Bestia asta cu chip de om, chiar o fi indragostit nebuneste ?…Bine,bine ,dar „actele” nu se consuma in Notre Dame ,ci in Palatul Cotroceni?! Ah,e versiunea romaneasca?O.K!

Dupa inca o noapte alba, a aparut pe post si a incercat sa insufle curaj guzganilor portocalii ,tot mai agitati ,pe fiecare zi ce trece ,de certa scufundare a barcazului ,parca ar fi prima,mai sunt cel putin 50 de nave scufundate de Diavolul care (sac) ,a infruntat valuri de 16 metri si nu oriunde ci in…Atlantic (sarade de pirat).

A bantuit blogosfera ,preocupat ,bineinteles,de starea natiunii,de unde a ciupit un cuvant pe care l-a lansat, tot ca pe o sarada,a tinut sa gratuleze cu acest cuvant ,pe super ziaristul Sorin Rosca Stanescu(baiat de baiat),pe curajosul pilot si parlamentar Valentin Vasilescu si bineinteles ,…”tonomatele” lui Voiculescu,”mogulii” ,care nu mai contenesc cu dezvaluirile afacerilor murdare in care Basescu si membrii familiei sale ,amantele, sunt implicati pina la gat…pe linga cei gratulati cu acel cuvant,ma aflu si eu…soricelul care scrie,un ticalos care atenteaza la „onoarea de familist” ,a proxenetului national . Am facut pe mine,m-a luat tremuriciul ,am murit de frica,cand mi-am revenit am scris mazgaleala asta ,ca printre randurile ei ,sa cer:

Doamna Procuror General a Romaniei-Laura Codruta Kovesi,va rog din suflet ,scapati acest popor rabdator, de diavolul cu chip de om , Traian Basescu:

Ca un raspuns, pentru participarea partenerilor de coalitie ,la comisia parlamentara Vanghelie-Orban ,dupa ce s-a intalnit ,tete-a tete, cu Elena Udrea,Traian Basescu s-a napustit la Palatul Victoria pe inserat unde, Emil Boc, era cocotat pe scaunul de prim ministru al Romaniei ,sa il vada  maica-sa ,la Rachitele ,in televizor , se caznea ,din rasputeri, sa coboare, de pe scaunul atat de inalt.Emil Boc, ajutat de Basescu ,sa coboare,doar pentru moment,a avut o replica geniala :”Da Traiane,asta gandeam eu cand ai venit!”.Boc, se bucura in sinea lui, ca va fi inca un prilej ,ca  mama sa de la Rachitele, sa scuipe ecranul televizorului, de deochi.

Si-a luat incaltarile cu toc dublu, a tras de microfon in jos ,si a anuntat remanierea lui Dan Nica .A sunat,apoi, la Cotroceni si a intrebat:”A fost bine?”,i-a raspuns Basescu, fredonand:”Ce bine ne intelegem noi doiiiii!”

In fapt Dan Nica il speriase, de moarte ,pe Basescu si era exact cum bine a spus „calcase pe un musuroi de furnici” ,afacerile familiei Basescu,contrabanda cu produse petroliere ,a  unor lideri PDL de la Ploiesti ,dar mai ales cheia invincibilitatii basesciene: furtul electoral,votul cu autocarul si toleranta, interesata, a politiei, inregimentata politic.

Basescu radia,impiedicase cercetarea penala a Camilei Elena Udrea ,cea detinatoare de provizii electorale si erat tot timpul pe ecran ,a fugit la Cluj unde s-a prins in hora ,in timp ce tara pe care el insusi o incendiase,ardea dar nu foarte mocnit,beat a sunat manuitorii de sondaje si le-a cerut o facatura fulger:ii reusise !

Pasul la ofsaid facut ,de intreaga clasa politica, l-a intristat,in zadar a incercat sa dezbine si sa stapaneasca :toate partidele erau fripte,in zadar a incercat sa-l zugraveasca pe primarul Sibiului ca pe un naiv pacalit de opozitie:Johanis vazut de Basescu ca un posibil contracandidat in cursa electorala ,stie mai bine ca noi ,cine i-a plasmuit dosarele penale,oare de unde a tras Basescu concluzia ca nemtii,sasii,germanii sunt popoare sentimentale si naive?

 Sau el cunoaste alta istorie decat cea stiuta de Crin Antonescu, dupa cum devine si expert in vestimentatie capabil sa umileasca un reprezentant al minoritatii armene,unul din acei parlamentari neimbuibati care  alaturi de alti reprezentanti i-au dat „craci,” cum se spune pe maidan la fotbal, lui Basescu si nu au pus botul la cadoul din cocoasa Camilei Elena Udrea de 100000 de euro.

In timpul motiunii de cenzura,cinstitii parlamentari portocalii ii transmiteau live capcaunului „totul e ok”,in fapt asta este sfarsitul oricarui dictator: cand supusii il informeaza mincinos de teama represaliilor, ori bate un vant de Fronda in PDL?

Haideti !E timpul pentru „reconciliere nationala”,citat din Ion Ilici Iliescu.Nu stiti cum e cu dictatorii?Dictatorul si metresa si atat!

Apropo: imi place foarte mult numele dat de eruditul istoric,Corneliu Vadim Tudor,impotriva caruia am formulat si o plangere,impotriva omului politic si nu impotriva istoricului pe care il ascult cu placere chiar cand o ia razna,pentru ca ma distreaza,doamnei Roberta Anastase:”Girafa Muista”… Arata bine in timpul votului motiunii de cenzura…nu, nu a plans.Cred ca au plecat sa sarbatoreasca, doar Paleologu a fost atat de naucit incat a ramas pironit, gandindu-se la cariera sa politica ,care a inceput atat de bine si s-a curmat atat de brusc.Deh,daca te-a mincat in cur,vorba lui Dinescu:sa-l lingi in cur pe Basescu.Te-ai gandit vreodata fraierica, ca numele ,Paleologu este un blazon?

Oare cum o fi castigat asta titlul de Miss in dauna unor femei ca Andreea Marin sau Simona Patruleasa?Suspina saraca, pentru Basescu :cine o mai marita,acum?

„Prostanacul”-Mircea Geoana, este singurul parlamentar roman care a elogiat  ,in aula Parlamentului ,avand si ocazia sa aiba un discurs in calitate de presedinte a PSD,decernarea premiului Nobel ,presedintelui american Barack Obama.

Presedintele Basescu era preocupat de tiitoarea Elena Udrea, de modificarea constitutiei si nicidecum de elogierea presedintelui american Barack Obama ,de  revitalizarea economiei,iesirea din criza sau de creearea de noi locuri de munca.

Deh!Nimeni nu-i ca …Bush!

Placinta Constantin zis Titi,procuror din Ploiesti,celebru prin cazul Viorica Visan trimisa dupa gratii nevinovata 10 ani ,prin cazul Dinu Patriciu unde a facut presiuni asupra procurorilor care instrumentau dosarul in calitate de inspector CSM si sluga a lui Traian Basescu,precum si cazul meu, unde din partea vatamata si petent m-a transformat in infractor ,refuzand sa solutioneze in mod legal o plangere formulata pentru inselaciune pe file CEC in valoare de, aproximativ, 29 miliarde lei vechi ,la nivelul anului 2001-2002 ,doldora de bani,cu conturile pline si zeci de proprietati s-a pensionat.

Este acum un avocat care conduce ,alaturi de fosta procuroare Buliga Georgeta ,morisca spagilor din justitia prahoveana,daca vreti: un centralizator al spagilor.

Pe site-ul avocatului Placinta Constantin se regasesc, in portofoliul de clienti, foarte multi din cei care au primit NUP-uri in anii sai de glorie.Desi nu stapaneste nici o limba de circulatie ,clientii sai sunt din USA,ISRAEL,cel putin asa se lauda ,poate si dl Haysam.

Se pare ca  in urma anchetelor declansate impotriva acestuia,Placinta Constantin  s-ar fi mutat din satul Paulestii Noi in Ploiesti in locuinta care figureaza pe numele ginerelui sau Andrei Volosevici,primar al Ploiestiului.De asemenea se pare ca Placinta Constantin si-a distrus prin incendiere una din vile situata ,parca,in localitatea Varbila sau Varbilau, pentru a incasa polita de asigurare ,ca alternativa la scaderea dramatica a preturilor investitiilor imobiliare.

Constantin Placinta si Andrei Volosevici –primar al Ploiestiului ,au intrat in mod fraudulos ,prin interpusi in posesia stadionului „Ilie OANA” respectiv clubul „FC Petrolul”,in realitate stadionul si echipa a intrat in posesia unor vecini din Paulestii Noi ,cu care Placinta si Volosevici deruleaza diferite afaceri,sau asociati ai acestora.Prin aceasta manopera primarul Andrei Volosevici urmeaza sa finanteze constructia stadionului Ilie OANA,bani care ajung tot in administrarea lui Constantin Placinta si Andrei Volosevici prin interpusii protapiti in conducerea clubului ,care fac parte din anturajul procurorului Placinta si al fostului avocat Andrei Volosevici.

In aceasta vila locuieste, actualmente, primarul PDL al Ploiestiului ,Andrei Volosevici,urmatoarea vila este a antrenorului Valeriu Rachita,ambele filmate din elicopter,ambele in comuna Paulesti.Pina ca Volosevici sa devina primar ,in aceasta casa a locuit procurorul Placinta Constantin,in urma scandalurilor acestia au facut rocada:Placinta locuieste acum in Ploiesti in casa lui Volosevici.Printre vecinii lui Volosevici,proprietarul hotelului”Turist”,un anume Tilimpea…

Sumele de bani virate de la primarie ,de catre Andrei Volosevici, urmeaza sa fie folosite in campania electorala a lui Traian Basescu

Linia de tramvai din cartierul Democratiei nu a fost scoasa conform promisiunilor electorale facute cetatenilor din acest cartier.Iar stadionul „Ilie OANA” arata la fel desi a trecut mai bine de un an.

Tot ce a facut acest betivan de primar, numit Andrei Volosevici,client fidel al restaurantului frecventat in majoritate de drojdieri „Dealu MARE” ,unde bea ca un cretin alaturi de Dragos Patraru,a fost sa puna niste ghivece cu flori si sa apara la TVR 1 sa lalaiasca despre transportul in comun din Bucuresti,plin de o prosteasca ingamfare,despre Ploiesti,mai nimic,parca incerca sa zica:”M-ai vazut Basescule,am vorbit la Tvr,flutura drapelul porcaliu!”

Se pare ca la TVR intr-o anumita functie de conducere exista o fosta absolventa a liceului CD GHEREA Ploiesti,liceu absolvit de altfel si de Dragos Patraru,care in epoca era renumita prin harul de a scrie dar si prin bolile venerice pe care le raspandea,potrivit unuia din scriitorii prahoveni contemporani.

Andrei Volosevici a ajuns primar prin mita electorala.Mai exact,prin intermediul lui Iulian Badescu director la Republicanul a cumparat tacerea ,presei locale,cel putin trei persoane au fost cumparate in campanie din care amintesc doua:Dragos Patraru,Iulian Badescu,al treilea se stie si nu merita.

Privilegiile cu care au fost mituiti cei doi sunt:

• Iulian Badescu,consilier al primarului Andrei Volosevici,senator PDL,director televiziune locala,
• Dragos Patraru,consilier al primarului Andrei Volosevici,director televiziune locala,

 Dragos Patraru ,care are in permanenta chifla in gat ,stie sa rada de bietul C. Anghelescu de la Alfa Tv ,ca sperie platourile la conferintele de presa organizate de cluburile de fotbal.L-ai vazut tu?Patrarule nu toata lumea maninca pe la restaurante santajind ca  va scrie de rau.

               La cata mita iei, trebuia sa denunti la televizor medicul care te-a operat?Asta n-o face nici ultimul jeg,esti un rahat!

               In schimb ,ii dau dreptate lui Rachita Valeriu, si il cred ca e posibil ceea ce reclama ,el stie bine ce spune pentru ca acelasi lucru il faceau, Cristi Colonelu,Bogdan Cont,apropiatii sai, cand invatau galeria sa scandeze:JOS EUGENIU GOICEA!…se intampla acum…

               Ei dar alea sunt alte vremuri ,vremea cand jucatorii Petrolului isi permiteau sa vanda meciurile, fara stiinta presedintelui de club,sau vremea cand presedintii de club vindeau meciuri fara stiinta echipei sau cumparau arbitrii cu sau fara stiinta echipei.

 De ce imi miroase mie ca: Volosevici si Placinta au pus umarul la santajarea lui Penescu intocmai ca Elena Udrea in cazul Becali si ca eliberarea acestuia s-a facut in urma platii efectuate catre Traian Basescu prin intermediarii Placinta Constantin si Andrei Volosevici?

               Penescu a fost pus in libertate la Ploiesti, imposibil ca Placinta Constantin sa nu fi pus botul:o nora judecatoare,alti zeci de procurori si judecatori prieteni…..

 Primarul PDL al Ploiestiului,Andrei Volosevici,fost avocat,socrul sau Placinta Constantin,procuror la acea data,Buliga Georgeta prietena intima a lui Placinta sau “tiitoare”,procuror la acea data,dansand vals,french can-can,in aplauzele unei asistente dar mai ales ale lui…Volosevici,este daca vreti..”mercurialul spagilor din justitia prahoveana”..

 Aici il avem pe procurorul general adjunct al Romaniei Nita Tiberiu Mihail,inlantuit de procuroarea Buliga Georgeta intr-un sirtaki al spagilor ,pardon intr-un mercurial al spagilor la nivel national.O fi incasat Basescu bani de la Becali si Penescu?Sigur ca da ,altfel de ce i-ar fi arestat matrozul chior?Alaturi de Buliga se afla finii acesteia care se ocupa de cumpararea imobilelor la pret de nimic scoase la vanzare de judecatorie si bineinteles clanul Placinta,care nu apare in video,acum.SECIU-PRAHOVA.

Apropo de lins in cur la Basescu:Andrea Pora ,Alina Mungiu Pipidi,Radu Morar sunt lideri.Andreea Pora sau „de ce ai dintii atat de albi,domnule castor?” dupa ce arunca tone de scuipati ,dupa ce indruga verzi si uscate despre servicii si agenti reactivati sa-i curme lui Basescu zborul, mai nou a devenit si bufon al emisiunilor in care nu e lasata sa debiteze ineptiile si sa practice linsul in cur de Basescu.Ma scuzati ca folosesc acest termen neacademic ,il folosesc cu placere fiind imprumutat de la Mircea Dinescu, care intr-adevar a inceput sa mai recite si cate o poezie :”cat o ai?”

Dintr-un butoi de mari dimensiuni mai razbate ,din cand in cand,un panseu al voluminoasei Pipidi,luptatoarea impotriva interzicerii avortului,nimfomana saraca.

La Radu Moraru,la „Nasul” intra si ies cand vor si cum vor alde Basescu,alde Udrea ,alde Talpes,alde Boc,mai ceva ca TVR –ul pe timpul lui Ceausescu.Nu ti-e rusine,mai Radule,esti un baiat de treaba ce te prostituezi atat?Lingi in cur la Basescu?Mingi ridicate la fileu,osanale…ma uitam cu placere la tine…

La „televiziunea poporului”, OTV se simte din plin infuzia de capital portocaliu de la Locic si Emanoil Savin-primarul Busteniului,sunt vreo doua trei personaje pe acolo care de dimineata pina seara il ling pe Basescu in cur,una stiu sigur ca e finantata de Locic si Savin si in mod probabil si ceilalti.Murfatlarul apartinea unuia Samson cununat de Ioana Basescu si prieten cu Emanoil Savin?Si Virgil e pe acolo zici?Basescu,chiar?Tot pe acolo isi face veacul si unul  numit Sima, care se da drept discipol al lui Ovidiu Ioanitoaia,acum zice-se la o fituica „Ziarul”despre care un bun prieten al acestuia,din Ploiesti ,povestea ca-i cam place sa fie sechestrat si plimbat in portbagajul autoturismelor, atunci cand mai ticlueste cate o escrocherie.

Oricum il felicit pe Dan Diaconescu pentru ca a reusit sa-si indeplineasca visul si a scapat de „garsoniera” si am observat,asa,prin decor ca i-a priit colaborarea noastra.Sa fie intr-un ceas bun!

Suparati ca antrenorul nationalei Mircea Lucescu ,absenteaza in mod nemotivat de la serviciu, dand instructiuni prin telefon ,unuia care se pare ca ar fi de profesie „bucatar”, deci nepriceput la fotbal dar care „bucatar” e fiul sau…Adrian Mutu,Chivu si Mircea Sandu ,in mod gratuit sau nu, au hotarat ca trebuie sa ajute prietenii ,francezi sau sarbi, oferind :libera trecere.Merci,Monsieur Platini!

Gheorghe Hagi a declinat oferta de Presedinte al FRF in favoarea cumnatului sau Gheorghe Popescu.Nu-i acelasi lucru:Hagi e Hagi!

Nu, nu am fantezii erotice cu doamna procuror general a Romaniei, Laura Codruta Kovesi,nu sunt Irinel Columbeanu si nici dansa nu e Monica,desi daca ar fi sa aleg intre Roxana Ciuhulescu si Laura Codruta Kovesi ,as alege-o pe Laura.Si-a schimbat look-ul,hainele ii vin mai bine…de ce o aleg pe dansa?Suntem doi practicanti al aceluiasi sport de echipa:baschetul,mama, mama ce criscrosuri….bineinteles unul fara performante notabile, iar celalalt de lot national…acum imi dau seama de ce nu m-a impresionat fostul procuror Botos…ce am eu in comun cu un karatist?!

BASESCU A CASTIGAT REFERENDUMUL PRIN FRAUDA ELECTORALA, PRIN VOT CU AUTOCARUL!

Ma aflam intr-un sat inaintea referendumului de demitere al lui Basescu.Pentru a dezlega limbile satenilor crispati in fata camerei de luat vederi,am impartit cateva pahare la birtul satului si ca un preludiu ,fara nici o legatura cu ceea ce aveam ca obiectiv,le-am propus o tema la care toti „morometii” stiam ca vor percuta:

„Pe cine vreti presedinte!”

Memorabila a ramas replica unui satean care in timp ce isi sampona si lustruia limuzina de culoare albastra,spunea:

„Eu sunt comunist,il votez pe Mircea Geoana!Adicaaa,nu ca Mircea Geoana e comunist dar eu asa simt: il votez pe Mircea Geoana!”

Morometii mei insa il injurau de mama focului pe Basescu si nu atat de mult pe Basescu cat pe Elena Udrea.Am cenzurat cat am putut:cum sa-i stric imaginea luptatorului cu balaurii coruptiei?In sinea mea le dadeam dreptate satenilor si eu eram scarbit ,cate unul care ma stia ma intreba :mai crezi in Basescu?De unde sa stiu eu ca Basescu era in realitate protectorul coruptiei?

Aparitia lui Cosmin Gusa,pardon a generalului Iulian Vlad,in piata Universitatii unde Traian Basescu si ficele sale schelancaiau m-a convins sa ii dau votul.Am uitat de injuraturile taranilor ,m-am gandit:ce stiu taranii despre jocurile la varf .Am fost printre primii care i-am dat votul pina atunci nu avusesem lipici la urna,nu mai votasem niciodata.Lumea nu se inghesuia.

Mi-am pavazat magazinul cu mecla lui Basescu,am impartit fluturasi portocalii,am organizat promotii,i-am facut publicitate electorala in presa locala.

In ziua referendumului cineva de la unul din ziare mi-a adus factura la plata.

Dupa ce i-am achitat mi-a lansat o invitatie care m-a pus pe ganduri :

„-Mergeti cu noi?””   -Unde?”am intrebat,   „-Domnul Emanoil Savin a organizat?”

„-Ce?”   „ Mergem cu autocarele prin tara sa votam!”   „A,nu,nu pot sa las magazinul!”

Am ramas muncit de ganduri,impingand la frigidere si in urechi imi razabateau franturi din discutiile trecatorilor care se postau in fata magazinului si spuneau:”Ne-am pacalit cu asta,nu-l mai votam,numai rau face!”.

Erau multi, iar eu cam singurul fraier care imi pavazasem magazinul cu mecla lui Basescu.Eu care am fost la vot, nu mi-am explicat niciodata de unde capatase atatea voturi …

Cum lupta asta impotriva coruptiei ,cand el insusi fura voturi cu autocarul ?

In tot acest timp, Romania a fost izolata pe plan international,Asta dupa ce Adrian Nastase,Mircea Geoana,Emil Constantinescu au construit ani la rand in politica externa, ca  matrozul necioplit,Basescu ,sa culeaga roadele la inceputul mandatului.

Azi, Traian Basescu nu e primit la nici o masa din vreo capitala civilizata ,poate doar in Siria unde s-a ocupat personal de soarta lui Omar Haysam.

.L-am vazut alergand, buimac ,dupa presedintele american,Barack Obama, atunci cand trebuia sa se comporte altcumva,( asa abordezi un lider influent ?)ca mai apoi sa fie imbrancit de presedintele italian Silvio Berlusconi, cand l-a calcat, ca un mojic ,pe bombeu.

”Sa traiti bine!” a insemnat binele lui ,al familiei sale si al amantelor protapite in pozitii cheie ale statului si falimentul a sute de mii de firme ,niciodata nu a existat o nemultumire sociala mai  mare in Romania si un nivel de trai mai scazut!

A trecut referendumul.Basescu a uitat sa vina in Piata Universitatii la raport asa cum promisese,a fost cel mai prost presedinte pe care l-a avut Romania!

O cacealma de presedinte: o pata pe obrazul Romaniei!

Pravalia mea cea, cu mecla lui Basescu pavazata , am inchis-o,intreaga Romanie este in faliment!

Nu trebuie sa ii mai permitem lui Basescu sa ajunga presedinte prin frauda electorala!

E timpul sa-i inchidem definitiv pravalia lui Traian Basescu !

un gattaccio pieno di poesia…che poi la Poesia è l’unica arma che davvero li può battere, solo la poesia può cancellare questo assurdo “milanesame” mafioso cammoristico che ci umilia ogni giorno!

Et hop ! C’est aux étudiants de 2ème année 2009 de s’y coller maintenant : reproduire le plus fidèlement possible une scène de 10 secondes tirée d’un film en 2D (animation traditionnelle) en l’interprétant en 3D (images de synthèse).

C’est donc le moment ou jamais de bien configurer sa modélisation de façon à s’assurer qu’elle correspond bien au model sheet original (d’où un oeil de lynx obligatoire !), et à ce qu’elle soit ensuite parfaitement animable dans l’outil 3D. Les textures et l’animation arriveront dans les étapes supérieures de cet exercice hautement périllieux…

De Mulan à Nocturna en passant par Kuzco, les héros de pellicule deviennent virtuels et prennent pour l’instant l’aspect de figurines que les étudiants eux-mêmes poseraient bien sur leurs ordinateurs (si, si : ils sont comme ça, nos étudiants !).

Cette étrange position des bras que vous aurez remarquée chez chacun n’est pas là pour faire croire qu’on crucifie les Toons chez ESIA 3D (quelle idée !), mais bien parce que c’est la position la plus pratique pour animer ensuite les personnages sans trop les déformer.

J’en connais qui vont misérer pour animer les cheveux…

Je profite de la présence de Quasimodo ici pour préciser que les extraits de films à reproduire sont au choix de l’étudiant. Le bon goût cinématographique ne fait toujours pas partie des contraintes.

… et on termine par la petite Alice pour montrer qu’on attend avec impatience la version de Tim Burton. Bon, ça fait beaucoup de Disney, tout ça, j’en conviens, mais en longs métrages d’animation 2D, il n’y a pas non plus 10 000 choix possibles…

Bref, on a hâte de voir ça texturé et en mouvement ! Courage, petits scarabées !

Today’s film is possibly the most disappointing documentary i have ever seen in my life.  Mat Hames and George Sledge’s Fighting Goliath: Texas Coal Wars, is the poorest knock off of An Inconvenient Truth to have been released and is arguably the dullest film since Mr Borings 9 hour epic Watching Paint Dry.

The film centres around a region of Texas Called Waco.  A large Energy company threatens to build several coal fired power stations in the region putting the health of nearby residents at risk.  The cities in the surrounding area join together to fight the energy companies advances.

On paper this should be a fascinating mixture of Erin Brokovich and An Inconvenient Truth with a nice dash of poignant corporation bashing.  Instead a rather turgid account of how these cities clubbed together and then defeated the company is shown on screen.  It feels as if the filmmakers picked the least interesting elements of the story and the dullest people involved with the case and decided to put them together in a beige sandwich.  It tells nothing interesting about the story.  All the information it presents could have been (and probably was) found on Wikipedia or Google News.   The actual story dawdles along for twenty minutes before you are suddenly told that someone came in to buy the energy company and decided not to go ahead with the plan.  This leads to several interviews with ageing rednecks all repeating one after the other; “we were so lucky.  But the fight doesn’t end, there are still two other problems cars, cigarettes the sky falling down blah blah!!!” After this horrifically dull montage of whining you are suddenly dragged to a construction site and told a new plant is being built and is even worst than all the others put together.  Frankly by this point anyone who had managed to stay awake will have been relieved to see that film abruptly stop. 

The main focus is on the mayor of Dallas who travelled to every single town near to where the power plants were going to be built in order to get them to join her campaign.  She is the least camera friendly figure seen in a film since Quasimodo decided to come down from the bell tower.  This is nothing to do with her appearance but her unnerving looks at the camera and hugely uninteresting discussion about the events.  She has a glazed look comparable to a fully brainwashed scientologist that i suspect was caused by her listening to her own voice for more than 20 seconds.  What is even more annoying is the way that the filmmakers turn her into a demigod patting her on the back at every opportunity.  Yes she did a great job.  And yes everyone should be thankful.  But she certainly knows it and now has an ego the size of Russia something that comes across throughout.

However it is the chuckle brothers Hames and Sledge who deserve to be sent to Nuremburg and sentenced to death for their crimes to documentary filmmaking.  The two manage to select the dullest interviews and cut them together leaving in long awkward pauses, whilst cutting out anything of actual interest.  There are so many shots of the Texan countryside you start to think that the film is secrety and advert for the Texan Tourist board.  Whilst the pair identify themselves as sycophants who adore anyone who has even smiled at anyone in a position of power.  They have no sense of what is interesting and make no attempt to speak to the energy company and get a different opinion.  Instead they decide to stay in their safe house made of straw waiting for Mr Interesting to come along and blow their house down.

The biggest criticism has to be for Robert Redford.  To call him the film’s narrator is possibly the biggest exaggeration since someone told John Candy that he was thin.  Redford literally says two sentences in the whole film.  And those two sentences do little more than to emphasise how bad it can be when someone wants to prove their environmental credentials with little or no thought on how to do it.

This is a film that should be viewed by anyone who is blind and deaf and with a high boredom threshold.  Anyone else would find the film so un-enjoyable that they could be tempted to buy some coal light, it and breath in the fumes in the hope that they will die of carbon monoxide poisoning before the film finishes.

So, you’re probably wondering why I didn’t toss this back into the ocean and pick another term. That’s because ‘quasimodo’ has more than one cultural reference. That’s usually a good reason to combine those references into one story.

Quasimodo was a physically-challenged person. The Quasimodo is a surfing move.

IMAGINE…a physically-challenged surfer dude.

THE EXERCISE: Create such a character and put him in a situation where he has to show his best Quasimodo move.

Hidden Hunch: Look at the Gaudin numbers!

It’s going to take a mountain of momentum and offensive production to unseat the New York Stock Exchange – I mean Yankees – from atop the AL East. They have the best team money can buy. Literally. Except for their fifth starter, one Sergio Mitre, who’s barely a strikeout pitcher anymore. Since joining the Bombers July 21, he’s gone 3-2 with a 7.02 ERA and a 1.76 WHIP, and those aren’t hard-luck numbers, either; his career numbers are right in line. And limiting Joba Chamberlain’s starts doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing less Mitre.

So who’s going to step up? It has to be my man Chad Gaudin*, who’s had decent success as a Yankee – 3.42 ERA, 1.61 WHIP – but the real gem in his stats is he’s posted a .253 BAA in 23.2 IP. Now, you clearly don’t need a guy like Gaudin as anything but a middle reliever in the postseason because you can switch to a three-man rotation in October, but there are a handful of starts between now and then, and they could end up being important ones. He’s already a spot-starter, but instead of toying with Gaudin’s time off the mound, just make him the fifth starter and send Mitre back to the minors to bring in some young talent. Joe Girardi should only have to ask himself one question: Does the beard make the man, or is it the other way around?

 *  Note: Chad Gaudin is not, nor has he ever been, my man. It just couldn’t pass up the potential to rhyme.

It is rumored that Gaudin the Man also has a plan.

Hidden Hunch: O Magglio, where art thou?

Woe is the Tigers’ 2009 season. Only in the weak AL Central could a .534 team be in first place with a four-game lead. The Tigers went 16-13 in August, averaging 5.75 runs in their wins and 2.62 runs in their losses – that’s an unkind disparity. What they need is a bat to step in, one that’s been absent all year, and one that they used to be able to count on, but has since diminished into offensive obscurity.

Of course we talk of Magglio Ordoñez. Okay, so it’s not exactly “hidden” that Maggs hasn’t produced at his expected level in 2009, but who says all my hunches have to be earth-shatteringly original? The Tigers, believe it or not, have the all the “intangible” pieces in place to put together a nice post-season run: a decent rotation, reliable bullpen, good defensive players and a great manager in Jim Leyland, crazy codger that he is. The one thing they’re missing is the .300 hitting and 20+ HRs of Maggs. I think they can get going without him producing like he used to, but a return to form would strengthen their case as a postseason dark horse in the AL.

Hidden Hunch: Defense, defense, defense

What’s up with everyone being down on the Halos this year? This club has put together a great season with young talent and smart coaching. People have been giving flack to their rotation for allowing so many runs, but it’s not the pitchers’ faults. It’s the defense. The Angels have good pitchers that run into stacked AL lineups and are backed by a poor defense.

The Angels’ defense have an ErrR (error runs) rating of 10.3, good for last place in the American League. Consider it this way: Each Angels fielder has been responsible for an average of about 10 runs each this season. Compare that to the best team in the AL in this category (the Mariners), who have combined to each take away an average of 14 earned runs. The numbers of unearned runs the Angels defense has allowed has been the difference for them, and if they want to compete this postseason, they need to shape up or they’re going to be shipped out.

Hidden Hunch: Locking ‘em down

You know what no one talks about when they talk about Boston being this great team? Their middle relievers. All we hear about is Jonathan Papelbon and his ice-cold nerves. We never hear about how the Boston bullpen (in total, to be sure) has combined for the lowest ERA by an AL bullpen, the second-fewest home runs allowed, the third-most strikeouts and the fewest total runs allowed.

They’ve got young guys in there, for the most part. Papelbon, Ramón Ramírez, Manny Delcarmen, Daniel Bard – they all complement Hideki Okajima quite well. They’ve got vigor and command on their side, and they’ve each got good “stuff,” whatever that means. Now with Billy Wagner in there, they’ve got a bullpen that can lock down a postseason race, the same kind of thing we saw with the Tampa Bay Rays last year. If their starters can give them 6-7 quality innings each night, this is a high-caliber, consistent bullpen that can shut games and opposing offenses down.

Three weeks later, and I finally got my first paycheck.  $97.07.  Not that great, but it gets the job done.  All I really need is money for gas at the moment.  The rest goes into a savings account.

Lately I’ve been reading a lot more than usual (which is good, I think) and at the moment I’m in the middle of The Fellowship of the Ring AND The Hunchback of Notre Dame.  I also am going to start reading The Case For Christ, but that’s not technically literature, so I won’t count it on my list of required reading, which is already long and extensive.  As I’m reading those two books, I’m constantly looking for parallels between the movies while not looking for mirrors of the movies.  I know that when people make films based on books, they take a lot of artistic license with it (Is that how you say it?  Does one “take artistic license?”) and therefore they’re not quite the same as the books they’re based on.  I’m totally fine with that actually, even though a lot of people aren’t for some reason.  I think it’s fun though to find lines that the movie took directly from the book. To me, it’s sort of like finding little easter eggs.  =]  Here are some similarities between the two, but also some differences.

Lord Of The Rings

1.  My favorite line of the entire series is when Frodo is lamenting about receiving the ring from Bilbo, but Gandalf responds by saying, “So do all who live to see such times.  But that is not for them to decide.  All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”  It gives me a sense of hope whenever I feel in a rut about anything.  Granted, I don’t have a Dark Lord and his entire orc army after me, so I can’t really compare my feelings with Frodo’s, but I still like the line!  What’s funny though is that in the movie, Gandalf says this in the Mines of Moria, but in the book, he says it when he comes back to Bag End to tell Frodo what the Ring really is.  That’s right at the beginning of the book!  It was a little disappointing, but I thought it best not to worry about it.  The book did come first, after all.

2.  Another glaring difference between the two is the journey from the Shire to Bree.  It’s almost completely omitted in the movie, and the parts that they left in were changed entirely.  In the book, Frodo journeys with Sam and Pippin to Buckland to his new house to meet Merry, but has the intent of leaving them behind to go to Rivendell.  Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), they all already knew about Frodo’s  plan to leave, so they decide to go with him.  This actually all happens on Maggot’s farm, inside his house.  They aren’t chased off like in the movie.  And they hide from the Black Rider on the road before they hit Maggot’s farm, not after.

3.  The third noticeable difference is the sense of time and how it passes.  There’s virtually no sense of passage of time in the movie, in which it seems to take place over the course of a few months.  In the book, however, Frodo spends 17 years in the Shire after he gets the Ring from Bilbo before he leaves.  It then takes him a month to walk to Rivendell.  Each day of the journey is carefully laid out in the book, while it’s just glossed over in the movie.

4.  My favorite similarity has to be the music.  Howard Shore’s score in the movie contains actual lyrics that J.R.R. Tolkien wrote.  The best example would have to be Pippin’s song in The Return of the King that he sings in Lord Denethor’s throne room.  That song was taken from Bilbo’s Walking Song that he sings while leaving the Shire for the final time.  I really do love the music from the movie, and I believe it does the books justice.  The music alone can make me weep.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame

1.  When I talk about the movie, I’m talking about the Disney musical version that came out in 1996.  I don’t care what anybody says about that movie; I thought it was fantastic, and it’s probably my favorite Disney movie.  The music is just phenomenal.  Anyway, the book and the movie bear almost no resemblance to each other at all.  The main storyline in the movie doesn’t even really start until page 200, where it starts to describe Frollo and Quasimodo in depth.  Sure, the first part of the story is about the Feast of Fools, but it looks nothing like it did in the movie.  There was no play in the movie, and there was no Esmeralda dance in the book.  Well, actually there was, but it wasn’t at the Feast of Fools.

2.  The largest omission of the movie was that of the character Pierre Gringoire, the poet philosopher who falls in love and marries Esmeralda.  He isn’t even alluded to in the movie; they simply left him out.  He writes a play that is shown at the Feast of Fools about the relationship between Nobility, Religion, Commerce, and Labor, not that any of that is important.  His show essentially fails because there are too many interruptions, and he tries to escape the crowd for the rest of the day until he finds Esmeralda dancing in the square.  He in entranced, and decides to follow her when she leaves.  Long story short (too late!!), he stumbles into the Court of Miracles and is put on trial by Clopin.  This is te scene that happens at the very end of the movie with Phoebes and Quasimodo.  It happens pretty much the same way, except in more detail, and Esmeralda eventually speaks up and sets him free.  The only downside for her though is that she has to marry the guy.  She does, but then just leaves and locks him in her house.  Great wife.

3.  The funny part is, during the entire Feast of Fools, Quasimodo appears twice; once to win the Pope of Fools for about a page, and once when he’s paraded through the streets in the evening for about a paragraph.  Frollo then only appears once for a brief moment, but in the book he’s the Archdeacon, not the minister, or whatever position he has in the movie.  Quasimodo actually appears later trying to kidnap Esmeralda, because he’s actually quite cruel in the book.

4.  Quasimodo.  What a way to change him.  In the book he’s deaf, mute, almost cripple, ridiculously strong, on the verge of retardation, and completely loyal to Frollo.  In the movie, he’s pretty much the opposite of that (well, except for the strength I suppose).  They sort of had to do that though to make a Disney musical.  It’s no fun having a deaf mute trying to sing.

Killer Instinct presents: a Festival of Shoryukens.

Killer Instinct was the quintessential “cool” game of my generation. It’s one of those games that made me hate my SNES-owning best friend; when ‘begrudgingly’ playing a rival console could no longer be feigned, and enjoyment of a Nintendo-exclusive could no longer be hidden. Rareware forced these situations upon me on a regular basis. Now my internal struggle has long since ended, and I’m free to say what my heart always felt: KI may try too hard, but it’s still pretty cool.

Right out the gate, metal MIDI riffs chug along relentlessly like a crazy train from hell; Quasimodo clobbers the bell with the satisfying ‘chink!’ of his mighty gavel every time you toggle a setting; a garbled, manly voiceover announces your every decision with a foreboding shout-that-is-a-whisper. Killer Instinct makes you feel like a real hardcore sonovabitch.

That’s the menu screen done, now let’s take a look at the actual game. Killer Instinct is the bastard child of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Its Mortal Kombat genes are more readily identifiable: the game was co-published by Midway for starters; it uses pre-rendered ‘movie’ sprites for the characters; and ‘No Mercy’ moves take the place of fatalities. The recessive Street Fighter gene is evident in the controls – light, medium, hard punches and kicks – and the moveset. Every second fighter seems to have a Dragon Punch up their sleeve, and if they don’t, you can bet yer ass they’ve got an Hadouken (or both).

SHOOOOO-RYU-KEN!!

Perhaps a latent Capcom fighting gene in the mix manifests itself in the ‘combo’ system, which is all kinds of ridiculous, and sets the bar for future combo-fests like X-Men versus Street Fighter, Marvel Versus Capcom, Capcom Versus SNK, Capcom Versus Larry Flint, and Capcom Versus Every Man And His Dog. It was certainly the first game I had ever played with upwards of 80-hit combos. It’s fairly safe to say, then, that the combo system pretty much defines KI as a fighter and sets it apart from the rest of the riffraff. It’s a pity, then, that I can’t do them. Couldn’t do them then and I still can’t do them now. I have three excuses prepared for this:

1. My USB Saturn controller is still in the mail at the time of writing and I’ve got a deadline to keep here (or at least not stomp all over).
2. This is a game that you really need the manual for. The special moves may be Street Fighter knock-offs but they’re not exactly logical. Glacius’ Dragon Punch uses a kick, for example. And those Mercy Moves aren’t going to just fall from the sky.
3. Even when I have the manual, I’ve never bothered to master anything beyond what’s written in it. Got a combo I can do? Write it in the manual. Super Combo Moves were the best thing that ever happened to this lazy gamer, all wrapped up in a neat little bow.

If you’re into that kind of thing I’m sure love will find a way. Hardcore Voiceover Man will high-five you for your trouble – “Triple Combo!”, “Super Combo!”, “Brutal Combo!”, “Master Combo!”, “Awesome Combo!”, “Hyper Combo!”, “ULLLTRA COMBOOO!!” – a different superlative for each number of hits, it seems.  They want you to do lots of combos, get it?

There’s even a character named Combo. TJ Combo to be exact. That’s where the try-hard factor comes in. The “Teej” is a try-hard, Jago is a try-hard, Fulgore is a try-hard – every second character thinks they’re just so freakin’ cool – like the genetic by-product of a failed marriage between a pop singer and an Hollywood actress. The coolness rubs off to an extent, but the sons and daughters of privilege should never forget their place. Just put down the coke bowl for a second and slip into this gold bikini for me, willya?

Yeah, Killer Instinct, you’re cool, alright? You’re that kid on camp (you know, that kid) with the undercut number one shave that pretends to chew gum all the time as you size up the other kids, spits on the ground as if generally unimpressed with what this planet has to offer, and doles out approval to the rabid underlings that hang on your every word.  Like I said – cool.  But next time you turn your cap backwards and do olleys on your skateboard out the front of school, remember one thing:

Street Fighter got a little drunk at a party one night, looked over at Mortal Kombat across the room, and thought to himself, I’d smash that. And that, son, is how you came to be.

Och jag har haft en låt på hjärnan hela dagen.. och den går inte att få ut..
Först var det så att när jag vaknade i morse så hade jag “Jesus älskar alla barnen..” i huvudet.. och jag satt och nynnade på den.. och efter ett tag så ändrades den till en annan låt.. och det var “Vi sätter oss i ringen och tar varan i hand.. “
Nu får jag inte bort den.. så jag gick på youtube.. för att hitta låten som hela tiden har varit med mig..

För det är ju så.. jag försöker vara stark.. mer eller mindre hela tiden.. fast ibland så faller jag igenom.. och då är jag liten.. då vill jag bara bli hållen om.. jag vill känna att jag har kärlek omkring mig.. och det vet jag ju om att jag har.. fast ibland kommer tvivlet.. att Han faktiskt stannar vid min sida..

En kvinna ska enligt all kunnig expertis.. vara just kvinnlig.. och känner jag mig kvinnlig.. nä.. inte direkt.. jag är enbröstad.. Jag har ärr.. och det är många.. jag har inget hår.. varken på huvudet, i ansiktet eller “där nere”… jag orkar inte en massa övningar.. som om man hade varit fertil hade resulterat i en liten kotte så där en 40 veckor framåt.. Jag har smärta som gör att jag ibland blir sur och grinig.. jag är i ett medicinskt klimakterium.. som också gör att humöret blir lidande.. men samtidigt så är jag inte den där klimakterie häxan som jag var när jag åt mina antihormoner.. för då om något var jag en riktig bitch… och det ordet använder jag knappt.. bara för att när jag väl använder det så ger det så mycket större kraft.. Jag har en liten dosa som sticker ut.. som ett andra bröst ca 1 decimeter snett ovanför det bröstet jag har kvar…

När jag har älsklingströjan på så se jag tydligen ut som Quasimodo.. eller möjligen Farbror Fester i Familjen Addams.. och har jag kragen uppe över skallen men tittar ut så tycker sonen att jag ser ut som E.T... så kärleken är så stark.. så det behövs inte bara sex.. närheten är lika viktig.. bara kramas kan vara värt så mycket.. och ligga och hålla om varandra.. eller att ligga “sked” utan några övningar.. att hålla om maken och ligga nära honom.. eller bara ligga där i sängen och hålla handen… så skönt så…

Det är ju som det är nu.. och då får man ta det.. fast jag ska se om det inte är så att jag måste höja morfindosen ytterligare…
Vi får se.. i så fall gör jag det på söndag….

Esse post é um jeito bem humorado de dizer que a dor de hoje é o riso de amanhã…

Há caminhos que não cessam de nos dizer coisas. Por mais vezes que passemos pelo mesmo lugar, as mensagens emitidas são sempre novas. Assim é Paris. A magia da Cidade Luz faz com que cada visita seja sempre única. Estive lá no mês de Julho, desta vez com o objectivo de tirar o véu francês da face de dois adolescentes, os filhos de meu marido. Logicamente, os olhos deles ainda não conseguem vislumbrar a riqueza de imagens que só o passar da idade e o somatório de vivências nos concede. Tudo estava no mesmo lugar, como é normal: A Torre Eiffel, o Arco do Triunfo, a deslumbrante Av. Champs Elysses, o Museu do Louvre, o rio Sena, a catedral Notre Dame etc., mas me acenaram de uma forma diferente, como também é normal, pois, como já se diz, “ninguém atravessa o mesmo rio duas vezes”.

Casa de Victor Hugo (by me)

Cores e formas pareceram-me muito mais intensas. Consegui desvencilhar-me de caminhos e até andar sozinha naquelas paragens cuja língua não domino. Um passeio solitário que aventurei-me a realizar foi o de conhecer a casa do escritor francês Victor Hugo, na magnífica Place de Voges. Fiz tudo a correr, mas deu para sentir o ar de mais uma casa de escritor.

Como já havia escrito neste blog, tenho fascínio por casas de escritores (por falar nisso, descobri que a empresa onde trabalha o meu advogado, em Lisboa, foi a casa onde nasceu Fernando Pessoa. Fiquei estupefacta com essa descoberta!!!). É como se, ao fechar os olhos, podéssemos sentir o processo criativo a pulsar nas paredes e objectos pessoais do artista. Vi inúmeras fotografias da montagem do personagem Quasímodo (o corcunda de Notre Dame), da obra “Notre Dame de Paris” que ficou famosa e incentivou o restauro da Catedral que, na época, encotrava-se em ruínas. Foi um passeio relâmpago muito produtivo e extremamente agradável para mim. Veja neste vídeo o que eu tive a oportunidade de conhecer:
