I suppose it happened for the first time last night. I was visiting my friend Brittany at Lebanon Valley College, a small little school with strong roots in Christianity and conservatism. We were at a sorority party, it was toward the end of the night, and I found myself sitting next to Brittany on a couch, with an arrogant, douchey boy sitting across from us. “Are you two together?,” he drunkenly grins, pointing at Brittany and me.

There was a semi-awkward silence as I looked down at all of the elements of homo I was rocking – grey-wash, almost-skinny jeans with a tight graphic tee and a scarf, drinking a mixed strawberry-flavored beverage. I turn to the boy, saying, “Nah man. I’m actually into dudes.”

He reacts surprised, and after some time passes with none of us saying anything, he goes, “I just don’t get how you can be into dudes. Like, how you can like penis.” Again, I turn to him and say, “It’s kind of like how you like vagina – you’re just born that way.” He looks perplexed and then shrugs it off.

My walk back to Brittany’s house was a rant about how I would never be able to go to a school where homosexuality basically doesn’t exist or live in a Greek world where most “brothers” have never met a gay. I went on for a few minutes, lambasting the closed-mindedness of people even in our own generation – to me, the boy’s comment reflected a deep-rooted perception that to be gay is to be abnormal – and that’s when it hit me. That’s when I realized that I have become an out-and-proud, rainbow flag-waving advocate.

I never intended to be that way, but somehow, as time goes by with little cultural or legal advancement of how the LGBT population is perceived, I’ve become more outspoken about it. I post links quite often to articles and videos about gay rights on my Facebook and Twitter. I write about gay rights issues for class projects, on my blog and in Buzzsaw. I’m suddenly unafraid to include Queer as Folk on my list of favorite TV shows. And I own this shirt, which I interpret to be either the villagers rolling away the stone to reveal a big homo, resurrected Jesus or simply an encouragement to “come on out, the water’s fine!”

My floormate Connie’s been experiencing something similar lately. She’s been taking lots of sociology classes since she’s been at Ithaca, and slowly, she’s found herself to be transforming into quite the feminist.

Throughout our transformations, it appears that we’ve both faced a common obstacle in our goal to share our feelings and expose inequalities in society, and I think we’re both trying to answer this question. That is, in a world full of people who are sympathetic to minority causes but who also roll their eyes and groan at the first indication of someone pointing out discrimination (no matter how subtle), how are minority causes supposed to be heard? And if our perspectives aren’t heard about why things are unequal, then how is real change supposed to occur?

An opinion piece ran in The Onion called, “If God Had Wanted Me To Be Accepting Of Gays, He Wo

An opinion piece ran in The Onion called, “If God Had Wanted Me To Be Accepting Of Gays, He Would Have Given Me The Warmth And Compassion To Do So.” Although I know The Onion is satire, I sometimes get this vibe off of other Christians.

I am unequivocal about my position on gay rights. Although I’m a Bible-believing Christian, my personal views don’t always line up with God’s. (Bad, I know.)

I’m not sure why I’m so passionate for gay rights. I don’t have any close gay friends who I see struggle with discrimination. I’ve come into contact with gay people at various points in my life (I’m friends with a few on Facebook) and always wish I had that token gay guy friend (think: My Best Friend’s Wedding).

The closest reasoning I can come up with that makes sense is that my favorite uncle (and godfather), who passed away from complications due to AIDS in March of 1994, was gay. My uncle was married to a woman and had two kids but for some reason, never felt the freedom to openly be who he was. In some wacky family drama, he brought his lover, Gus, into his life (and his home) and a few family functions. Gus died not too long after my uncle.

I guess ever since, I’ve had this hang-up about homosexuality. Not only with other Christians but with God. Within the first six months of becoming a born-again Christian by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, I seriously questioned whether I wanted to be part of a religion that didn’t allow two consenting adults—regardless of gender—to love each other. As a Bible-believing Christian, Romans 1 is clear. Homosexuality is sin. But so is unrighteousness, evil, coveteousness, malice, envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness, gossiping, slandering, atheism, insolence, haughtiness, boastfulness, disobedience, etc.

So yes, I know the truth of God’s word.

But when I look at two men or two women who genuinely love each other and want nothing more than to spend the rest of their lives together, I have to stop and think, “God, why would you want to keep two people who love each other apart?”

I always get the same pat answer from Christians: “Because it’s not what God designed.” No emotion. No feeling. Just the facts, ma’am.

When I was a junior in high school, I took a freshman-level theater class. One of the assignments: we all had to write a one-act play and then our teacher would select people to do a cold first reading for each one.

I waited in anticipation of my one-act to be done. Maybe I waited a day or two. Regardless, I remember it was the last one performed before class ended. Maybe even before the day ended.

A few classmates were up on the stage. Two girls on one side, two guys on the other. One of the girls admitted to her best friend that she liked a boy. Nothing about that should be shocking. But to the other girl, as she read it, it was.

You see, I wrote a one-act play in which everything was a parallel universe and it was a sin for straight couples to be together. (Somehow, I got away with this in a Roman Catholic school.) By the end of the play, my classmates on stage (with the exception of two) discovered they were really playing gay characters. The rest of my classmates muttered that I was (to put it in semi-PC terms) “screwed up”; my theater teacher thought it was brilliant. I still happen to like it. It makes me put myself in someone else’s shoes.

This then, makes me wonder: Where do straight people get off thinking they can dictate the lives of gay people? I certainly wouldn’t like the neighbors down the street telling me who I can and can’t marry. If two women love each other and want to commit to spend the rest of their lives together, so be it. I’m not in the relationship and it doesn’t affect me. If a gay couple wants to adopt a child and raise it in a loving home, that’s fine by me. Better a loving home with two guys than an abusive home with a woman and a man.

On Facebook, some people have settings so that friends of friends may view pictures. Well, a woman I met through a local writing group (who happens to be a lesbian) attended a wedding this weekend. She was tagged in pictures that someone else posted. Since marriage isn’t legal in Pennsylvania, I was curious to see where the wedding took place. It, in fact, did take place in Pennsylvania so I assume the wedding was more a “commitment ceremony.”

As I looked through the pictures, I saw two happy women facing each other, both looking positively radiant and full of love. And again, I went back to that pesky question I badger God with:

“Why is this wrong?”

One of my favorite shows of all time is Queer As Folk. I came to fall in love with the characters and the raw emotion that actors and actresses so wonderfully portrayed. And so often, the dialogue was beautifully written. Through that show, I learned that while there are some pretty sleazy and skeezy gays out there, there are — guess what? — gays who want a private, quiet life with their partner and perhaps, raising a family.

When it comes to marriage, I don’t think gay marriage has a place in a church that’s not accepting of it (as is the case in Bible-believing Christian churches). However, when it comes to legal rights, I support gay marriage.

I am amused by conservatives who insist that the government should keep its grubby hands off of nearly everything yet hail the the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which would federally mandate that legal marriage is between a man and a woman. I am also baffled when straight people desperately want to determine how gay people should live (as in Prop 8). I’ve heard some straight people say they want gay activists to simply “shut up.” Well, they’re not going to “shut up” if you’re just going to keep them from what they want. Anyone remember the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18?

As a teenager, I often saw parallels between the civil rights movement and the gay rights movement. The majority constantly made decisions to determine what impacted the minority, leaving the minority little room for say or control. In that same vein, it was only when the majority finally gave the minority a voice that many forms of discrimination were finally put to rest.

I want a man whose partner is dying of cancer at the hospital to be able to be considered a spouse and visit him with all the rights and privileges that a straight couple has. I want a woman who has been faithful to her female partner of 26 years to receive the same government benefits that straight couples are entitled to. Call me a liberal if you want to; this discrepancy is inequality.

So when I think of the title of today’s Onion opinion piece, I think God actually DID give me the warmth and compassion to be accepting of gays because I certainly know of a lot of people who don’t.

“I think God appreciates it even more because he created you in his image. At least that’s what I was always taught. And since God is love and God doesn’t make mistakes, then you must be exactly the way he wants you to be, the way he intended you to be. And that goes for every person, every planet, every mountain, every grain of sand, every song, every tear, AND EVERY FAGGOT. We’re all His, Emmett. He loves us all.” —Ted, Queer As Folk

Russell Davies

As stated in the August 31, 2009 lawsuit, Aisha v. The FBI, Madonna and members of her depraved, disgraceful Kabbalah cult, such as television writer/producer, Russell Davies (Hollywood’s “Queer as Folk” and the BBC’s “Doctor Who” and “Torchwood”) not only infringed my PREEXISTING copyrights, but violated my privacy as well and that of my family and friends, using it as the basis for select episodes of the BBC programs “Torchwood” and “Doctor Who.”

For more on that, here is an excerpt from the August 31, 2009 lawsuit, Aisha v. The FBI et al, relevant to this article:

24. Madonna then spread her invasive madness to her label affiliate BBC in London where she lived (BBC’s DVDs are distributed by Madonna’s Warner Bros). The BBC is familiar with Aisha’s family, having worked with her dad and aunt. Previously, in 2004, the BBC called Aisha’s dad, renowned musicologist and disc jockey, Vaughn “Bunny” Goodison, in Jamaica over the telephone, for an interview on the passing of his esteemed, lifelong friend and music legend, 72-year-old, Clement Dodd. On another occasion, the BBC telephoned Aisha’s dad for comment on the passing of famous charity worker, 87-year-old, Sister Mary Ignatius Davies, who was also a good friend of the family. These interviews were carried on BBC radio and on their websites. Aisha’s aunt, Jamaica’s award winning, highly rated, poet laureate, Lorna Goodison, had also done pleasant radio and print interviews with the BBC. Therefore, the family had maintained a good relationship with the BBC, but Madonna, driven by ill-will and hatred, resenting the famous arts family, due to Aisha’s very valuable, groundbreaking Copyrighted Catalog she covets and Aisha’s refusal to respond to her correspondences, viciously sponsored a Kabbalah styled case of gross invasion of privacy and copyright infringement, through BBC employees and Kabbalah members, Russell Davies and Billie Piper (Madonna’s protégé), aimed at vindictively targeting and maligning the award winning family. The family at no time did anything to Madonna, Davies or Piper, not knowing any of them, yet acting in concert with Madonna, they began to place items from Aisha’s preexisting Copyrighted Catalog and astonishingly her personal life as well, in his BBC scripts.

25. Davies infringed Aisha’s copyrights for select episodes of the BBC shows “Doctor Who” and “Torchwood” and additionally, included Aisha’s personal, identifying information unique to her, in his scripts. These items were obtained through hacking by the staff of Madonna.com. Davies, who has visited Aisha’s official websites, before and after the misconduct transpired, as attested by Traffic Facts site statistics software, has followed Madonna’s lead and taken broadcasting to an unprecedented low in Britain for the “Children of Earth” five part series on the “Torchwood” program he writes for. The “Children of Earth” broadcast not only includes items from preexisting, protected items from Aisha’s computers, using it for the main storyline of the 5 part miniseries, it also includes Aisha’s mother’s name “MILLIE” as a character, a variation of AISHA’s name in the script as a character named “MISHA”, a look-alike character that is the spitting image of Aisha’s sister, casting the character as a girl who is maliciously exploited and thrown in prison, the name CLEMENT mcDOnalD, a variation of the name CLEMENT DODD, appears in the script as an elderly character (CLEMENT DODD is Aisha’s aforementioned godmother’s husband, who invented reggae music and signed Bob Marley to his first record deal). There is also a character named MR. DEKKER, which is the real name of one of CLEMENT DODD’s legendary, award winning, international reggae recording colleagues and Aisha’s dad’s late friend, MR. DESMOND DEKKER. The CLEMENT and DEKKER names were cast as psychotic, despised, crazy characters running from aliens, which is disrespectful to the memory of the two, real, beloved, legendary Jamaican national heroes in the music field, which the names were distastefully taken from, in a racist manner by Russell Davies and Madonna’s Kabbalah. Other invasive items that infringe Aisha’s preexisting copyrights were included in select episodes of Russell Davies’ show “Doctor Who.” …

27. Other members of Madonna’s Kabbalah such as Sacha Baron Cohen, have been outed using real people for characters in TV shows and movies, such as “Ali G” being based on BBC radio disc jockey Tim Westwood and 2009’s Austrian character “Bruno” being illegally based on Austrian TV personality Alfons Haider. In 2009, Madonna’s partner and Kabbalah member, Jerry Bruckheimer was also sued for perversely basing a defamatory episode of “CSI” on a real live couple that owns a Los Angeles real estate firm, Scott and Melinda Tamkin, with the show using their real names and lives for the broadcast without permission, but defaming them as reckless people participating in sexual bondage, pornography, drunkenness and murder, in similar conduct to what Aisha had formally accused Bruckheimer of in her 2005 lawsuit against Madonna.

Since the filing of the lawsuit several weeks ago, I have discovered my teenage godbrother’s privacy and that of his mother, who live in South Florida in America, were violated during the case, as he, his mother and I, exchange emails very often and speak on the phone regularly, which was illegally wiretapped Anthony Pellicano style (Madonna’s private investigator, whom I gave the FBI detailed information about in 2005 and he was later arrested and convicted on wiretapping charges – see lawsuit for more information).

During one of the many hacks into my computer, which were traced back to Digilink, who is the web hosting company for Madonna’s official website Madonna.com, not only was my very valuable preexisting Copyrighted Catalog copied and then infringed by Madonna and her cohorts in Hollywood, my emails, both business and personal, were illegally copied, as mentioned in the lawsuit.

As stated in the lawsuit and mentioned above in the excerpt, Madonna’s Kabbalah member, homosexual Russell Davies (and his “Doctor Who” actress, Madonna protégé and Kabbalah cult member, Billie Piper) infringed preexisting copyrights belonging to me, for select episodes of “Torchwood” and “Doctor Who” and additionally included items in the script, such as the names of my family members and friends in the “Children Of Earth” 5-part miniseries on “Torchwood.”

Skins

Recently, I saw a bio page for the BBC/E4 program “Skins.” The homosexual father and son team of Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain, who are the writers and creators of the extremely dysfunctional and distasteful teen show “Skins” was mentioned in conjunction with Madonna’s Kabbalah member Russell Davies. The article stated Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain used to work for Russell Davies. They are also Davies’ BBC co-workers.

Now, imagine my horror and repulsion, when I scrolled down the character list for the show “Skins” and see my godbrother’s name “JJ Jones” listed as a character (his first name is John, but his family and friends call him “JJ”).

Imagine my horror again, when I read about the character and realize said character not only has my godbrother’s name, mimicking the sick conduct Madonna/Davies did to my family, but also infringes his image and likeness as well. This infringing character was created when my godbrother was 17-years-old. He is now 19.

Things the character on “Skins” has in common with my godbrother “JJ Jones”:

1. The name “JJ Jones”
2. 17-years of age
3. Wears braces
4. Grew his hair out a bit (his mom kept commenting on it, as she wanted him to cut it)
5. Lives with his mom a single parent
6. A very smart student
7. Hangs out often with his two best friends
8. Has a penchant for drinking Tropicana (an American, Florida brand of fruit juice that amazingly appears in a British show)

How does the BBC explain, how people connected to Madonna via Kabbalah, not only wound up in criminal possession of an illegally made copy of my Copyrighted Catalog, infringing items from it via using them without permission, but said characters in the infringing programs, now mysteriously have my mother’s name MILLIE, a variation of my name AISHA (“MISHA“), a look alike character that looks a great deal like my sister, the name my of my godmother’s husband who invented reggae music CLEMENT DODD (turned into the variant name “CLEMENT mcDOnalD“) and his colleague, the late reggae legend, DESMOND DEKKER’s name used as “MR. DEKKER” in the programming (Note: My dad interviewed Desmond Dekker’s family on his radio show, listened to by millions around the world, shortly before Russell Davies did this invasive madness) and now my godbrother’s name, image and likeness, appears along with the other infringements, as characters penned by these same writers, Russell Davies, Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain.

Let’s not forget, prior to this, the BBC called my dad, a renowned musicologist, twice in Jamaica for interviews on famous public figures that are friends of the family. I kept wondering how they got his number. They also interviewed my aunt, an award winning author, Lorna Goodison, prior to all this as well.

Therefore, the BBC does know my family. Not to mention, the BBC has come up in my website stats numerous times, before and after these incidents regarding Russell Davies, Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain transpired.

It’s bad enough for Madonna and co. to violate my privacy, but while their invasiveness was going on, she and her comrades at the BBC, invaded the privacy of my sister and godbrother, who were minors at the time this unlawful activity began. That is absolutely criminal.

I am also of the belief, they found out what my sister looks like and based the aforementioned “Torchwood” character on her (“Lois” from Torchwood’s “Children of Earth), via photos I had taken of her at the airport, that I emailed to her in Jamaica, after I extracted them from the card of my digital camera.

“Lois” from Torchwood’s “Children of Earth” looks like my sister. I asked my mom and another relative to look at the picture and tell me what they think and they said she does look like her (except, my sister usually has her hair straight – however, in the photos that I took of her at the airport and emailed to her, she had the front of her hair braided):

“Lois”

Violating the privacy of minors is a very serious crime. Turning two minors, that are private citizens, into characters on TV, at the request of a sick, devilish pop star, Madonna, invading innocent people’s privacy and harassing others, as she is psychopathic and obsessed out of her non-singing mind, is disgusting and nasty.

Russell Davies, Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain, have also added other very defamatory and sick items to the characters lives, based on my sister and godbrother, that are more than enough grounds for criminal charges and a lawsuit.

Once again, Madonna and co. have gone too far. The worst part in all this is, we are innocent people that have nothing to do with Madonna or her lunatic Kabbalah cult members like Davies.

And I promise you, all that are involved in committing this foul, nasty misconduct on those shows, that criminally invaded the privacy of minors, will see the inside of a prison cell before this is all over. You have my word on it.

Do, pray tell, what did my young sister and godbrother do to you? They are two good, decent, hardworking kids that make great grades in school and are trying to live their lives.

How did they deserve for a group of vile, despicable, perverted lunatics to invade their privacy and beam their lives, image, likeness and in my godbrother’s case, his actual name, around the world (his mom’s distinct last name that is different from his, was also used for a Russell Davies’ TV character on “Torchwood”).

Do stand up like men, albeit cowardly homosexual men, obsessed with underage boys and girls – and tell the world what my young sister and godbrother, who do not even know you at all, nor do I, did to you that they deserve this criminal nastiness and invasiveness you’ve done in conjunction with your fellow Kabbalah cult member Madonna. You must be so proud of yourselves spying on and picking on underage youths, you perverts.

Really, what if I took the low road, as Madonna has done once again and cast a character in one of my scripts with her daughter’s name, writing that the 12-year-old girl is to be dressed like an underage prostitute, trying to be sexy for the camera. Oh wait, Madonna has done that to her daughter already for her latest video, trying to shock people for attention.

Madonna

Regarding, Russell Davies, Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain, what if I pen a script, casting your respective parents’ names, image and likeness, as characters that molest kids and pee on them in the woods, as singer Elton John was accused of doing, by the Sun Newspaper UK. How would you feel about that.

I can get their names off Wikipedia if you’d like (and knowing Wikipedia, there is a 99% probability the names would be wrong, anyway).

But I wouldn’t do something like that. Because at the end of the day, one has to ask one’s self, what kind of sick people do things like that, you know, as you have done to my innocent family and I, who’ve done you no harm.

Once again, if the shiftless, useless, corrupt FBI had done their jobs from 2005, when they first received the case, those depraved animals could not have taken things to such sick levels, causing irreparable damage to innocent people, including minors, as mentioned above.

And the FBI wonders why I have nothing positive to write about them. Take a good look at that mess, as two young people have now been harmed, because you corruptly decided to let a foul, vile, dirty old pop star that audiences don’t even care about anymore, run loose with this madness, committing crime after crime, against innocent people, so she and Hollywood could criminally rip me off, as my Copyrighted Catalog is very valuable.

Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised that the FBI doesn’t care about kids, as it was widely reported, the FBI told the parents of missing children to buzz off.

You call that law enforcement. You are such unmitigated failures at what you do. Hands down, the worst law enforcement agency ever.

Archetypes abound in the land of television. Every group of friends on television has the smart one

Archetypes abound in the land of television. Every group of friends on television has the smart one, the bossy one, the bitchy one, the responsible one. And of course, there is always the promiscuous one. You know what I’m talking about. They have a new lover around every corner, wild stories of past affairs, and can smooth talk a turtle out of its shell. To celebrate these friendly characters, here’s a list of memorable players from television history.

Blanche Devereaux, Golden Girls. A Southern bell with a love of men, Blanche had so many notches in her bed post it was practically whittled down to a toothpick. She was naughty, alluded to having a love of kinky sex, and would always jump at the chance to tell a steamy story of hot, wild, unbridled passion.

Joey Tribbiani, Friends. How you doin’? Not too bad if you’re Joey. A dim witted actor with a silver tongue, he knew how to win over the ladies. Hell, he even got Rachel toward the end of the series.

Samantha Jones, Sex and the City. A cougar ahead of her time, Samantha may be the most unabashed player in television history. She loved, loved, loved men, sex, and expressing her passion whenever possible. Given the fact that SATC was on HBO, it gave her free reign to talk graphically and flaunt her rockin’ bod.

Edie Brit, Desperate Housewives. Edie not only sold real estate, she also slept with just about every man on Wisteria Lane. But poor Edie, she always knew how to land a man, it was keeping them around that was the problem, but lying and scheming were never beneath her. She finally settled down and married a nice normal man, until he turned out to be completely psychotic and accidentally caused her tragic death. Sad.

Brian Kinney, Queer as Folk. Ah, the dawn of the gay player. Brian not only had sex with anything that had a penis, he also did it while being a total asshole and stringing along poor, naive Justin. Yet somehow, we still loved him. Maybe it’s because Gale Howard is very easy on the eyes.

Shane Mccutcheon, The L Word. Once called the female Fonze, Shane seemed to have something magnetic about her that women couldn’t get enough of. She was literally beating the women off with a stick while sleeping with as many as possible. Even though she didn’t believe in relationships and sometimes caused women to stalk and obsess over her, she was always a loyal and true friend to her L girls. She was also very skinny.

Please help me welcome Brigit Zahara, fellow Ellora’s Cave author. Brigit is guesting today,

Please help me welcome Brigit Zahara, fellow Ellora’s Cave author. Brigit is guesting today, to help celebrate the launch of her latest EC title. And yesterday she learned that the Aquamarine Allure anthology is now out in print, which features her story “Catch of the Day”, which you’ll hear more about, below.

Let’s get right down to it. Brigit is giving away a copy of Chocolate Craving to one commentor — to be drawn after midnight MST tonight, so feel free to ask questions and chat back.

_______

Can’t help noticing a lot of your books have something to do with eating, food, or drinking. Is that deliberate?

LOL – yes I guess it would appear that way at first glance!

Actually, three of my books (Papaya Paradise, Creamy Delights and Lollipop Kings) were part of three different themed series that, determined by the publisher, consisted of stories centering on the designated topics. Because of that, Papaya Paradise, Creamy Delights and Lollipop Kings had to have Fruit, Ice Cream and Candy respectively as a major part of their storylines.

The only non-theme series story of mine that has something to do with food is Chocolate Craving.

Will future books following along in the theme of food and drink?

The 2010 themed series the publisher has created is about the arts i.e. Dance, Poetry, Painting-Drawing-Sculpting, and Music. Should I choose to write a story for any or all of the designated themes, it would centre around one of those four topics. So, no, the publisher’s theme of food and drink was just for books in 2009.

Apart from the themed series, my other books due out this year and early next are not food and drink related either. While Bar None is about two vampire bartenders and the woman they both love, the storyline line doesn’t revolve around the location itself or the fact that it is a drinking establishment. Similarly, The Turning about a woman convincing the two vampires she loves to turn her, doesn’t feature anything food or drink related (unless we’re talking blood . Neither does Stickup, a tale of two bank robbers and their sweet hostage, nor The Pleasure Palette that sees a woman enter into the world on the other side of a painting.

You write a lot of ménage and vampire stories…but when I did a quick rundown on your site, I did notice that your paranormal novels so far haven’t touched on werewolves. I’ve been pretty vocal myself about the suitability of werewolves as romantic heroes. Tell me how you feel about them. Have you written a werewolf story (that I missed!), or plan to? Or not?

Like the vampire, I think there is a real dark and tragic element to the werewolf persona—an aspect that really adds to a good romance. I’m also a firm believer that characters should possess good and bad qualities, strengths and weaknesses, perfections and flaws. In all respects, the werewolf fits the role nicely. Add to all this the fact that I am a bonafide animal lover and it is a shoe-in that I would write werewolf tales (or is that tails? My 13th book, The Pleasure Palette, features a romance between a mortal woman, a werewolf AND a shape-shifter.

Readers on Amazon have ranked you as a writer to turn to for hot MMF stories. Will you always feature MMF relationships in your novels, do you think? Or is it just coincidence that your stories so far have mostly dealt with these style of ménages?

Really? Wow that’s great! Out of my 10 ménage stories that include the soon-to-be-released Chocolate Craving, Bar None, The Turning, and Stickup, only three are MMF (Papaya Paradise, Creamy Delights and Conjured Bliss). The rest are MFM. However, stating the obvious perk of doing a MMF vs. an MFM, you have a few more positional options for the love scenes Too, I’m one of those females who found the love scenes in Queer As Folk to be Hot with a capital H! So yeah, absolutely, if two bi males fit the storyline better than two heterosexual ones, I certainly won’t hesitate to include them.

Tell us something about Chocolate Craving. What inspired the story? Are you a chocoholic yourself?

Paris itself inspired me. It is one of the most romantic cities in the world—the atmosphere is just incredible. Besides, I love a French accent on a man. “Zee thicker, zee better” — the accent that is In a nutshell, a recent trip got the ball rolling. As for the edible component of the story…am I a chocoholic? What are you kidding? Does EC publish erotica? Actually, I really wanted to call the book CHOCOHOLICKS but that didn’t fly!! LOL

What else is in store for Brigit Zahara?

I am already working on a couple more werewolf books as I SO enjoyed The Pleasure Palette And I’ve had a yen to return to the ocean for another merman tale. Catch of the Day was great fun to write but this time I want to double the heroine’s pleasure with two seafaring studs.

As for the long run, who knows? For now, I’m having a wonderful time writing, and I’m pleased as punch that my work is being enjoyed by readers of paranormal and erotica alike.

Thanks very much for the chat!

“Because I’m queer. I’m gay. I’m homosexual. I’m a poof, I’m a poofter, I’m a ponce. I’m a bumboy, battyboy, backside artist, bugger, I’m bent. I am that arsebandit. I lift those shirts. I’m a faggot-ass, fudge-packing, shit-stabbing uphill gardener. I dine at the downstairs restaurant, I dance at the other end of the ballroom. I’m Moses and the parting of the red cheeks. I fuck and am fucked. I suck and am sucked. I rim them and wank them, and every single man’s had the fucking time of his life. And I am not a pervert. If there’s one twisted bastard in this family, it’s this little blackmailer here. So congratulations, Thomas. I’ve just officially outed you.”

If you’ve watched the UK version of Queer as Folk, this quote wouldn’t be a surprise. Stuart Allen Jones [aka Brian Kinney in the US version] delivered this eye-boggling remark during a scene where he revealed his sexuality to his family, not to mention, his under-aged nieces.

You can just imagine my reaction when he said it, I thought it was great! Despite the R rated language, it represents the kind of self-worth that all homosexuals should implement. The quote says it all, they shouldn’t let themselves think that this speck of difference between them and heterosexuals is something to be ashamed about.

In fact, coming out is one way to point out who your true confidants are. I just recently got in to college and, frankly, I’m not that pleased with my school because they’re all a bunch of homophobes! Sure, my so-called friends pretend that they’re all accepting and shit but then a debate was held about same-sex marriage whether it should be legalized in our country, that’s how I saw their true colors.

Some people, let me correct that, MOST people kept denying new changes, especially those that opposes their own beliefs. To be honest, I despise the kind. Homosexuals are human too. They didn’t just sprout from the ground for us to treat them like dirt. They breathe and eat and live. So what makes us so different from heterosexuals, apart from the fact that we’re attracted to our own gender, that they believe they OWN the right to judge us?

For gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders out there, don’t hide behind shadows. You can voice out the same statement as Stuart did. Don’t let the homophobic shade conceal what you truly are because if you can’t accept what you are, then no one can.

Most lists of TV moms no doubt include the Carol Bradys and the June Cleavers, but I’ve never had much use for that class of mother. Instead, I’ve always been attracted to the edgier moms. While compiling this list, I also realized I have a penchant for single moms. Here’s my list of TV moms I’d like as my own.

I can’t think of a mother I’d rather have than ‘Queer as Folk’s Debbie Novotny. Loud, lovely, and full of love for her son — who was kind of a wanker much of the time — Debbie was actually wrong quite often. But it didn’t matter. Her heart was always in the right place.

The fact that both Cagney and Lacey should make my list is probably a testament to their acting abilities, as well as their ability to choose a great role when they see it. It’s been a while since I’ve seen ‘Judging Amy’ but I remember being inspired by Maxine, and vowing to be just like her when I was her age. I’m still working on it.

There’s a moment in every episode of ‘Brothers and Sisters’ where I think to myself (or comment out loud) that I wish I had a mom like Norah. Yes, she’s the queen of the guilt trip, but I can’t imagine anything more fun than guzzling a case of wine with her, Kitty and Sarah.

Funny, smart, sarcastic and fabulous. I loved Dorothy with such a passion, that I would actually get pissed off for her anytime her loser son was on. He clearly must have taken after Stan.

Picture it: Sophia Petrillo’s your mom. You’d be ridiculed, insulted, and frustrated — but you’d never stop laughing.

OK, it seemed only right that I should reach back into my actual childhood and pull out a TV mom that I’d wished was my own, but here’s the rub: I hated most of them. Abby on the other hand was never wrong, and she was pretty. When you’re 13, things like this really matter.

Erinnerst du dich an nichts? Erinnerst du dich an gar nichts?
