Only a few minutes. What do we do?

We wait.

Stand behind the yellow line painted on the platform edge. Patiently waiting. But for what? A train delayed for signalling errors? Or a possible cancellation of the train I need to get home to my partner?

At work I wait. I wait for the phone to ring. I wait for my computer to generate prices and rates and reasons to get people angry at me.

At home I wait. I wait for my hard work to pay off. Wait for payday to come round. Wait for the weight loss to show. Wait for the scales to break my heart yet again. Wait to fail at everything I try.

What would happen if we no longer waited? What is that classed as. A space of the time continuum that is null and void as you aren’t waiting and doing nothing else to pass the time. But then, you are waiting for the time to pass.

Doing a workout I wait for the burn to kick in. Cooking I wait for it to be, well, cooked.

My life in consumed by this vastness of waiting! I need to change it!

Or call it something else? But what??

Passing time? Allowing a turnover of time?

This is the exact reason I do not wear a watch. I think it would make my life hell! I would just sit and wait.

Watch as time passes by.

There we go. Instead of wait it can be watch!

Brilliant. Lets watch! We can watch together!

A quote that speaks for how we should be living our lives, to help and to serve others no matter what their life entails or how they look on any given day.

Lets be honest, when was the last time you have helped someone? Even if the act was not super huge, think of a time where you have lent your hand out to someone in need. Lets start a movement, a movement that has already been going since the beginning of time. Keep the momentum going, for one act of kindness can spread to thousands of lives in the future.

Lets show that gentle love again, and be a world of hope for those that have maybe lost theirs.

“Better late than never” is a good mantra to be heard every single day.

If you don’t exercise or don’t do enough of it, just remember it is never too late to change your life around.

After talking it over with your doctor first, start slow and you can always increase your pace for longer distances. Choose what you enjoy. Walking, running, sprinting, biking, swimming.

There are a variety of fitness workouts you can try to do. You will start to build muscle mass, lose body fat and shed pounds.

I did my stairs workout this early morning and my 75 squats and a good Run.

Fitness is not the answer for all body ailments, although it will leave you feeling good about yourself.

It just may leave a smile on your sweaty face~

As long as you are comfortable, just do it!

In the past I have approached writing in several ways. As a young girl I had a love for poetry, and to this day still have the green, spiral bound, tattered notebook full of poems I composed while navigating through the joys and pains of growing up. As a teen I contributed several entries to personal journals, and during college I began to draft a devotional book I hoped someday others would read and find encouragement through.

Which brings us to today. The goals for this blog are simple. I want a place to write. I believe behind good writing is vulnerability, which makes this a bit scary and daunting at the start. But more than a place to write, I hope these entries might bring encouragement, inspiration, hope, and peace to anyone that may stumble upon them. Many will be faith-related, others perhaps inspired by travel or even possibly lighter notes on experiences from various outings around town. I want to write, so I am writing. This is a place to start.

I can’t think of a better way to end this first entry than closing with one of my favorite quotes. This quote illustrates what I can only hope and aspire to achieve through my writing. While it is a lofty goal, I know if I am able to accomplish this, these entries will have more impact than I could ever create alone.
