Hace algunas semanas Personal anunció que iba a traer el Motorola Milestone (así le van a llamar aquí al Droid) a $999 con un plan de $99, el celular me interesó muchísimo y obviamente la característica que más me gusta es que tiene Android 2.0. También tiene 3G, una cámara de 5MP, teclado QWERTY físico y virtual,multitouch,etc. Ya lo reservé hace rato por la web de personal y estoy llamando constantemente pero me dicen que todavía no saben nada del teléfono, vamos a esperar a la primera semana de diciembre a ver que me dicen. Supuestamente van a traer un stock de 3000 equipos, esperemos que me llegue uno de esos.

Hey guys so I recently got the new Blackberry Curve 8900 from AT&T and had to do a review of it against my main phone the iPhone 3Gs. Now even thought I’m doing this review let me first say that the purpose of the phones are soooo different. The iPhone is main purpose is for users who want a fun and entarining phone where as the Blackberry is more of a right down to business phone. So here we go my break down of some of the main features of the phones.

Browser  iPhone

To me the iPhone has a browser like no other. The curve browser is generally slower and takes a lot more to get to a site like zooming in to click links as well as not as full featured browser as the iPhone.

Music     iPhone

The main reason the iPhone has the best music is because its made by Apple which started the entire music player trend. The blackberry really comes no where close.

Now the Curve is currently not 3G for AT&T but even with that calls on the Curve are not ever pleasant and you can hear a lot of background noise like the wind and the calls aren’t very clear. iPhone has a much better call quality.

Speed  Draw

This is actually a tie both phones offer quick responses to opening different functions on the phone.

Apps   iPhone

The iPhone wins hands down with apps. Blackberry has nothing close to the ease of the app store and apps on the iPhone. Even apps like Tweetie and easiser to launch and use then lets say Twitterberry. Apps on the Curve are not as full featured like iPhones Apps.

Design  Blackberry

I have to say Blackberry has a much nicer design then the iPhone. Its sleek and holds nice in the hand and looks more valuable where as the iPhone looks rather simple and plain.

Keyboard Draw

I have to say I enjoy both. iPhone touch keys are better spaced but can be a little hard to judge where as the Blackberry keys are nice to have an actual key but are a little too close together and cramped.

The Blackberry Curve 3.2 Megapixel and flash camera out do the iPhones camera and provide the better picture.

Recently Sanyo together with Sprint announced new mobile phone which main feature is its shape factor. Sanyo SCP-6760 Incognito has two displays and two keyboards both usual and QWERTY. One of them is sensory and located on the front side of the device. There is also OLED screen with 1.1 inch diagonal. Internal display has 2.6 inch diagonal and QVGA resolution. More evidence has been presented today with a research note from Kaufman Brothers analyst, Mr. Shaw Wu. Mr. Wu points to his contacts in the industry and parts suppliers who state the touchscreen slider phone is in development and resembles a cross between the Storm2 and one of RIM’s non-touch QWERTY devices. It’s currently in the prototype stage and is likely to ship sometime in 2010.

This could be a whole new revamped Blackberry OS, or this could very well be the way RIM takes the best of the Storm 2 touch prowess and combines it with a more finger friendly modified OS to capitalize on phones screen real estate and the slide-out qwerty action in 2010. The purported handset may be released with the new WebKit browser RIM has acquired, Torch Mobile.

Nokia 6760 slide - revolutionerende QWERTY-tastatur

Jeg har haft fingrene i Nokia 6760, der er på trapperne på det danske marked. En lille slide-telefon med fuldt QWERTY. Og til mine små, fede fingres begejstring kunne jeg konstatere, at jeg nu har mødt det første QWERTY-tastatur, jeg kunne forestille mig at bruge. I modsætning til de minimalistiske taster, man finder på andre tastature, får man i 6760 store, brugervenlige taster – omend mobilen er ganske lille. Det er i sandhed et lille tastatur-mirakel.

Til gængæld undre man sig over andre ting ved Nokia 6760. Skærmen er en ting. Den er fin og meget klar, men hvorfor er den så lille? Der er masser af plads uden om den, som bliver brugt til hhv. ingenting og til en højtaler, man åbenbart ikke lige kunne finde på at placere andre steder? Meget sært.

Samtidig er den lidt ledeløs, og det føles ikke som om, man kan skubbe tastaturet ud og ind i en evighed, før man kommer til at skubbe det i stykker.

Til gengæld er interfacet lækkert, og der er nemme genveje til Facebook, chat osv. Jeg loggede mig på min MSN, og så til min overraskelse, at interface og funktionalitet var en tro kopi af det, jeg har, når jeg er logget på MSN fra min computer. Og jeg kunne sørme også være logget på begge steder samtidig. Nu er jeg ikke den store chatter, og ville nok ikke bruge MSN på mobilen, selvom jeg havde muligheden, men måske alligevel, når nu funktionalitet og interface så så fint ud.

Jeg tror, Nokia 6760 bliver et hit hos dem, der vil have sit sociale internet-liv med sig, når de forlader computeren og kun har mobilen ved hånden. Lever man på Facebook, Twitter, Myspace eller chat, kan man i Nokia 6760 have det hele ved hånden, og man kan let skrive e-mails med det fulde tastatur.

Kameraet virker dog skuffende. Det har 3 megapixel men ingen autofokus.

Og skønt der er en Turbo 3G-internetforbindelse, har man ikke givet mulighed for Wi-Fi. Rimelig sært, mobilens internetfokus taget i betragtning.

Til syneladende kan man sætte et memorykort i på op til 16 GB, så der er seriøst meget plads til musik mm., hvis man ønsker det. En skam kameraet ikke rigtig giver en lyst til at tage billeder, man så kunne gemme på al den plads, men man kan selvfølgelig blot lade være med at udvide hukommelsen og blot køre med det, der er. Det er jo ikke en egentlig musikmobil, selvom der er både mp3-afspiller og radio.

Nokia 6760 er helt klart en internetmobil til e-mails, surf og masser af sociale medier! Til trods for dens mangler, synes jeg designet er flot og stilfuldt, og jeg mener virkelig, at tastaturet vil revolutionere QWERTY-opfattelsen for de fleste brugere.
