‘Spiderman’ busca a su Gata Negra

Sam Raimi está ultimando el reparto de ”Spiderman 4”. Con Tobey Maguire y Kirsten Dunst confirmados para el regreso del hombre-araña a al gran pantalla, ahora el director busca a la actriz ideal para encarnar a la Gata Negra. Dos son las candidatas: Rachel McAdams y Romola Garai.

Varios medios de Hollywood dieron por segura la incorporación de de Rachel McAdams, a la que pronto veremos en el nuevo Sherlock Holmes junto a Robert Downey Jr. y Jude Law, a la saga de Spiderman. Según se rumorea la actriz ya se habría reunido con los productores de la saga para hablar sobre su papel de Felicia Hardy, alias la Gata Negra.

Pero las alarmas han saltado al leer lo que la actriz Romola Garai (Expiación. Más allá de la pasión, Scoop), ha publicado en ‘The Observer’ detalles sobre su audición para un papel en la franquicia de Spiderman. “El amor es la raíz de todo lo bueno que ha sucedido y que sucederá”, esta es la frase que Romola tuvo que decir mirando a cámara y subiendo unas escaleras mecánicas de metro en el Oxford Circus.

Una enigmática frase que abre el casting sobre la Gata Negra. Aunque también hay quien va más allá y apunta a un posible relevo de Kirsten Dunst en el papel de Mary Jane. Sea como fuere, todavía habrá que esperar un poco para que se desvelen todas las incógnitas que Raimi todavía mantiene sobre la cuarta entrega de Spiderman, cuya llegada a los cines esta prevista para mayo de 2011.

As goofy as the concept is – a time traveler that gets married and disappears, causing strain in the relationship. Sounds like any other marriage nowadays, correct? However as sappy the concept may be there is true heart and a great message that is the core of the movie.

Based on the novel of the same title, Eric Bana stars as Henry DeTamble, our time traveler. Around the time he was 6 he avoided death by traveling out of the car and into a different moment of his life before he phased back into the present where he witnesses his mother’s death. An older version of Henry is there waiting for him to explain what had happened and tell him not to worry that things will be ok.

A few years go by and then Henry is then (re) introduced to Claire Abshire, played by Rachel McAdams, while working in a Chicago library. So far to this point Henry has been living a pretty dismal life while bouncing in and out of time frames. Claire has been in love with Henry, since the time she was 6 years old when he first appeared in a meadow behind her home. Oh by the way, did I mention when he does the time warp he is always buck nekkid on the other side? Fantastic!

The remainder of the movie is the various stages of the relationship is revealed. It bounces back and forth between the various stages and you don’t know which Henry is bouncing in and out of Claire’s life so it’s good to pay close attention. The last half hour of the film is tissue worthy as both actors’ chemistry and talent is in full force. The message of the movie really tugs at your heart strings and director Schwentke does a fantastic job of keeping a core theme. Find the perfection in each moment that you have and love no matter the circumstances. People may come and go from your life but love is eternal.

The studio marketing machine behind this film did a great job of capturing the essence of the film in the print ads and in the trailers.

Who should see this film: Women(obviously), People that are fans of the book, Romantic drama lovers and couples that want to spend time with each other.

If the ladies have to drag their guys to go see this be nice and sit through District 9.

waw, gue seneng banged. Soalnya, ini novel emang bagus banget.

buat lo yang pada nggak tau tentang apa ceritanya biar gue jelasin.

Ini bercerita tentang kisah cinta antara henry de Tumble dan Clare.

henry mempunyai kekuatan untuk pindah waktu dan yang ditemuinya setiap berpindah waktu dan tempat adalah Clare. baik clare di Masa lalu atau Masa Sekarang.

lalu terjalinlah kisah cinta dianrata mereka berdua. Clare sudah mengenal henry sejak kecil.

lalu, saat mereka berada di masa Sekarang, Henry yang saat ini tidak mengenal Clare. karena saat itu dia belum berpindah waktu.

yang jelas, Gue saranin lo nonton filmnya atau lebih baik baca novelnya.

I know a lot of people found this movie a cliché. Veronika was one of them. Hindi movie goers definitely would. I don’t blame them. It has all the ingredients. The rich-poor divide, the letters that never got delivered (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam?) and the recent favourite of Indian cinema – Alzheimer’s and the impossible return of the memory (courtesy ‘Black’). However, would you really deny that its a tearjerker?

Directed by Nick Cassavetes, ‘The Notebook,’ starts in a nursing home, where an elderly man named Duke (James Garner), is reading out the love story of Allie and Noah to an elderly woman suffering from dementia. Set in the 1940s, Duke’s story relates how Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams), a rich heiress meets and falls in love with Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling), a country boy in Seabrook Island, South Carolina. They both hope to marry and are about to make love in the house they both dream of living in, when they are torn apart by Allie’s disapproving parents. As the World War starts, Noah enlists in the Army, while Allie becomes a nurse. That’s when she meets the wealthy Lon Hammond Jr. (James Marsden) and decides to marry him. But if you’ve seen enough romances, you know Noah will make a re-entry.

Throughout the movie, we keep coming back to the present and its not hard to guess that the old lady is Allie, who has suffered a dementia and has lost her memory. But who is the old guy?

I would like to get my hands on the novel by Nicholas Sparks on which the movie is based. I wonder how much the movie deviates. Have any of you read it? Do lemme know about it if you have come across it?

I found the movie sparkling with the chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Their crazy fights and passionate love scenes got me. Its no surprise they are as hot off screen. I guess they didn’t win the “Best On-Screen Kiss,” award for nothing!

I also got tearful when the old man pleads with the doctor for a chance to bring back his wife’s memory which he does in the end. James Garner is convincing as a concerned, heartbroken but hopeful husband. I was touched by his faith.

Another part of the story I couldn’t ignore was when Allie finds out that her mother gave up her true love in keeping with the norms of the society, and spent many days wondering how her life would have been if she had listened to her heart.

Still not convinced? Okay, you are entitled to any opinion, but allow me one last try. Remember that summer when you met an amazing person and fell in love with and whom you still can’t forget? Whom you madly kissed or kept burning with the desire to touch? Well, this movie is about that kind of stuff too. Yes, you could call it a cliché, but think of that person you met, and then plunge into the love story of Noah and Allie. Lemme know if that made a difference in your opinion.

The new Sherlock Holmes movie from director Guy Ritchie (RocknRolla) is shaping up to be sexier than the world’s greatest detective has ever been, as after Rachel Mc Adams (The Family Stone) joined the cast as Holmes’ love interest, British actress Kelly Reilly (Mrs Henderson Presents) has now signed to play Watson’s.

[Her character Mary] causes tension between Watson – who wants to marry her – and Holmes – who resents her competition for Watson’s affections.

One of the most talked about forthcoming movies, Sherlock Holmes is said to be a reinvention of Arthur Conan Doyle’s character and starts shooting tomorrow in London for a 2010 release. It star Robert Downey Jr. (Tropic Thunder) as Holmes, Jude Law (Sleuth) as Watson, and Mark Strong (RocknRolla) as Blackwood, the villain. The film was co-written by Ritchie, Anthony Peckham (Don’t Say A Word), Simon Kinberg (Jumper) and newcomer Mike Johnson.
