Sekilas tentang Sungai Ciberang :

Sesi rafting : 2 – 3 jam

Start: Desa Bungawari/Muhara , Kecamatan Lebak Gendong, Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten

Finish: Desa Banjar, Kecamatan Cipanas, Kabupaten Lebak

Her story on whitewater kayaking appears on the AW website this month.

Here’s Joy in Ambergris Caye (an island off Belise) enjoying another outdoor sport–fly fishing for bonefish. Don’t worry that beautiful fish was released right after the photo was taken…

Just like the Adventure Woman philosophy states, engaging in outdoor activities helps create independent, self-reliant, courageous, and pioneering women!

Call Joy at White Water Warehouse 1-800-214-0579 if you are interested in an Oregon Rogue River rafting, kayaking or hiking trip in 2010. She’ll be happy to assist you in bringing out your inner Adventure Woman!!!

The adventure tours to India can be enjoyed in various adventure sports that are always organized in

The adventure tours to India can be enjoyed in various adventure sports that are always organized in India. Whether it is angling, mountaineering, rock climbing, scuba diving, snorkelling, bungee jumping or white water rafting, sailing etc. just be the master of your life while enjoying the sport.

If you want some thrill, some change in life, than river rafting for sure can add spice to your desires. White water rafting is a high-altitude, water adventure.

Persons suffering from a weak heart, epilepsy, diabetes, or any other serious ailments or expecting mothers are not permitted to do this sport. Non-swimmers may be restricted to certain sections of the river.

The main equipment that you have to take along is a raft which is made of special materials. Rafts mainly have inflatable compartments with vulcanized rubber bodies reinforced by nylon fabric and neoprene which enables the raft to go over sharp rocks without tearing. The clubs and organizers through which you participate can make you available with a raft. Other kits include life jackets and helmets.

Other than these a sleeping bag, sneakers, light synthetic quick drying clothes for the river, swimsuit, shorts and T-shirts, sun shades or glasses, suntan lotion, a torch and two pairs of shoes must be carried while you go for this sport.

There is no fixed time to be a part of this sport. But still you have a stretch of around 8 months starting from May to November to participate in in white water rafting.

The major destinations for water rafting is the Devprayag to Rishikesh which is the venue of this young sport. Uttar Pradesh has many other sites where one can go river rafting. In Garhwal, the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers provide excellent river-rafting opportunities.

In Kumaon, the river Sharda or also known as Kali Ganga flows down from Nepal to meet the Gori River at Jauljivi. Other sites for white-water rafting include Barkot to Lakha Mandal and Damta to Yamuna Bridge on the river Yamuna, Mori to Tuni on the river Tons, Kalisor to Srinagar and Srinagar to Bagwan on river Alaknanda, Ghansali to Gadolia on the river Bhilangana, Chandrapuri to Rudraprayag on the river Mandakini, and many stretches along the river Bhagirathi.

Sikkim also offers good river opportunities for rafting. The Teesta and Rangeet are two major rivers on which river rafting is possible. Makha-Sirwani-Bardang-Rongpo on the Teesta and Sikip-Jorethang-Majitar-Melli on the Rangeet are the two major stretches for water rafting. Beginners can also enjoy white-water rafting wearing life jackets and crash helmet for precaution.

Try to study the river stretch from the land to decide on the grade before becoming a part of the sport. Also avoid breathing when you are going under a rapid or when you are submerged. Wearing synthetic clothes, sarees, or dupattas are not recommended. Natural cotton products will be very helpful.

I took some trainee guides down the river last weekend and got a nasty surprise in “Big Surprise”. That right hand channel is turning into a nasty beast!!

A pitty ’cause it used to be such a cool run, that right hand channel.

For many years there was a tree-trunk stuck there and it was un-runable. But then we managed to cut the tree out with chain-saws when the river was closed off for a few days. And that right-hand channel proofed to be such a lekka run!

But we’ll have to go back to running the left line. Sad, but life goes on, regardless!!

I haven’t been that active on my blog lately. Since my husband came back from Iraq, I’ve been spending a lot of time with him and we’ve been chilling with friends and traveling. We went on a little river adventure trip in Kanchanaburi province of Thailand, and we had such a wonderful time visiting historical sites like the Hellfire Pass, War Cemetery, and the Bridge Over the River Kwai.

We stayed at this on a raft house right on the river. It was just so peaceful. WE left the resort on a bamboo raft to get back to the real word. One of the best trips we’ve ever taken in my opinion. It was no luxurious getaway but a lot of fun Better do it while we’re young !

The highlights of the trip was the morning bath with the elephants and hiking and cooling down at Erawan Waterfall. A lot of people who come to Thailand always want to ride elephants. We’ve done a lot of elephant riding and while it’s a great experience.. Elephant bathing was just awesome! ! The elephants enjoyed it too, which made it so much better.

Another update from our side of the world is the BIG MOVE. We’re heading back to Korea this time to Osan AB. Look forward to being done with moving! Ai! haha I’m going to take some time visiting some of my favorite blogs now

****************OHH BIG NEWS(FOR ME) Martha Stewart Living is available in Thai language! Which means it is cheaper! The imported English issues are 425 baht or 12 bucks each. YIKES! I couldn’t grab the first issue because I’ve been in Korea the first half of November and they are all SOLD OUT at the magazine stand near my house.. And I think pretty much every where else.. BUMMERS! Thai people love Martha too Since I will be in Korea and on a US military post I guess I will be grabbing the originals soon!

I’m a little behind on updating the blog, but ever since I got back from Tena on Monday it has

I’m a little behind on updating the blog, but ever since I got back from Tena on Monday it has been very busy getting back into my routine! I was in Tena from Thursday night until Monday morning and it was a lot of fun! It was great to see where Marisa lives and also see the town where the other church is.

On Thursday after class, Tia Patti took me into Quito to pick up my video camera from FINCA and to drop me off at the bus station. We didn’t realize that the south of Quito would have no lights when we went (Ecuador is rationing electricity right now due to low rain levels … more on that some other time) so it was a bit chaotic. I eventually was able to hop on an 8pm bus and off I went to Tena! In retrospect this was actually a little overwhelming because Tia and I showed up at the station, bought my ticket and then I had to rush off to the buses by myself. The bus was not in the spot they said it would be in and the buses were labeled funny. But at the time I was just excited and feeling adventurous so I just asked around “A Tena? A Tena?” and eventually found my way.

The ride was sort of long from Quito (much faster to go from Tumbaco) and the movie on the bus was maybe the worse Japanese film I’ve ever seen. I may or may not have dozed off a bit (I KNOW Mom, you don’t want me sleeping on random buses taking me across the Ecuadorian countryside. Sorry.) and eventually I arrived in Tena around 1:00am. Marisa was waiting for me at the gym that she owns. This past weekend she was in the process of finding a permanent place to live but since she got robbed on Wednesday she was a little short of funds so we just slept at the gym. No problem for me, although it took a little getting used to sleeping on massage tables.

Video of Marisa’s gym:

Friday involved breakfast at friends of the church, a motorcycle tour with Tio Miguel (he happened to be in town that day), exploring Tena and seeing Marisa teach some classes. At night we went out to the fairs since it was a celebration weekend in Tena. The food was great and cheap. Afterward we sat at a little restaurant next to the river and I met some of Marisa’s friends. I loved the weather in Tena because it’s HOT.

Video of Tena rivers:

Saturday we went to Misahualli, which is a town further into the jungle. We watched the monkeys jump on people and steal stuff and it was generally a good time. Here’s a video of Marisa and a monkey:

At night we once again went to the fairs and gorged ourselves on deliciousness and wandered around Tena. Video evidence of gorging:

Again we ran into some of Marisa’s friends (Tena is small so you just keep seeing the same people over and over) and one of them arranged for me to go rafting on Sunday with some other gringas. Rafting on Sunday was SO fun. I have never been white water rafting (that’s what it’s called right?) and so going down a river in the jungle of Ecuador was awesome.

The rafting group was myself, an American girl who volunteers in Tena, two European girls and our 3 guides. Two of them were in the raft with us and one was in a kayak sort of checking out the rapids. I was a little nervous at first since all the instructions came at me rapid fire in Spanish, but I quickly learned that I just needed to know when to paddle forward (adelante!), backward (atras!) and when I need to hop inside the raft (adentro!!). The river was beautiful, just jungle beauty all around. We played some “juegos” which involved balancing precariously on the edge of the raft, sitting all on one side to make a “wheely boat” and making a pyramid one time when the raft flipped. One time we hit a hole and all fell out and I got caught under the raft and I may have panicked slightly … but I just frantically paddled about until I found air. Yikes! But most of it wasn’t that dangerous or scary. Just awesome.

I wish I had pictures from the day but obviously cameras aren’t great for water. We were on the water for about 5 hours. We stopped and had some snacks in a little cave and our guides painted us up like warriors. It was fun. Somehow one of the European girls is sort of dating one of the guides (??) so it was more like a day with friends rather than a formal guided trip. Very fun.

At night I was covered in mosquito bites and very burnt. I met Marisa at Maykol’s family’s house (Maykol is my cousin Michi’s husband) and his mom made us a delicious dinner. I was grateful. I shortly fell asleep on the floor while everyone watched videos.

And then Monday morning I came home! I really liked Tena and I look forward to going again. Tio Miguel goes frequently and it’s fun to visit with Marisa.

Until next time!

Planning My Trip To Cagayan de Oro – Camiguin Cagayan de Oro is a part of the province of Misa

Planning My Trip To Cagayan de Oro – Camiguin

Cagayan de Oro is a part of the province of Misamis Oriental, one of the provinces in Northern Mindanao. Nature tripping is a never-ending possibility in Misamis Oriental. From watersports and fine beaches to cave exploration and ethnic settlements, the list of nature-communing endeavors to be experienced in the province is longer than enough to fill a lifetime’s itinerary.

Seas and beaches offer a limitless aqua adventure. Go scuba diving at Duka Bay and Mantangale, also a primary dolphin and whale shark watching destination. Find glorious hideaways in the white sand beaches of Midway Beach, Maputi White Beach, and Opol Beach Fronts. Go white water rafting and tubing in the rapids of Cagayan de Oro River, one of the longest rivers in Mindanao. Or simply get picture-happy at the San Isidro/Sagpolon, Palalan, and Tiklas waterfalls as well as Sapong Spring and the Cold Spring at Lagonglong.

white-water rafting at Cagayan de Oro

Moreover, it was a good thing that Cebu Pacific Air offered their Piso Rates, which I thought of Cagayan de Oro being my first choice! A multitude of choices await the nature love and adventurer. in us. The Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village in Cagayan de Oro, a cultural village in a botanical setting, is home to Region 10’s tribal communities and endemic plants and trees. Also in Cagayan de Oro is Macahambus Cave, a historical site dating back to the 1900s. Initao Cave is home to the split-nose bat and the Initao National Park is a forest reserve with a natural limestone formation and marine life. Shift into a more relaxed pace at the Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club, situated along Lumbia Road in Cagayan de Oro. Or explore this city’s museums, from the Xavier University Museum showcasing Muslim-Bukidnon culture to the La Castilla Museum featuring household heirlooms.

We have set our travel dates as June 16-19, 2010 for the Cagayan de Oro – Camiguin leg. I have been dreaming of going to this place eversince. The only thing that hampers me is the budget. Good thing, Sheila allowed herself to be immersed with the captivating beauty of this place. And so the hunt is on for the best bargains around CdO and Camiguin.

How Do I Get To Cagayan de Oro?

There are several ways on getting to Cagayan de Oro. The most popular are as follows:

a. By Air – since we’re coming from Manila, there are only 2 airlines that I know of that can fly you daily straight from Manila to Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro. The estimated flight duration is 1 hour and 35 minutes. The regular fares are really expensive by the way, but I’ll be posting their promo rates from time to time so please take time to read.

Philippine Airlines – PAL does not have any promo offerings at the time that I was planning to book my flight. Their regular round trip rates to CdO is Php4592.00. Wow! Very expensive!

Cebu Pacific Air – Cebu Pac recently launched (I believe that was in November) their 2-day Piso Fare to all of their destinations and I was lucky enough to be able to book for me and Sheila. Our round trip tickets cost us only Php312.00 each. That’s a great value for money indeed! Their regular round trip fare actually costs Php 4270.56. Konti lang ang difference sa PAL.

b. By Sea – the only shipping line that I know of is the SuperFerry. The travel duration takes almost 2 days aboard SuperFerry12. Their e-ticket for a roundtrip Mega Value aircon accommodation with food costs Php2989.81. It is quite cheaper than the traveling by air but it would take almost 2 days before you reach your destination. SuperFerry has promos from time to time, like their Todo Tawad promo where fares can go as low as Php500 on one way. But at this time, no promos offerings for Cagayan de Oro destination. Moreover, they have schedules for their trips. According to their website, their trips are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.

c. By Land – The city has two bus terminals. The West Bound terminal caters to trips going to Iligan, Ozamiz, Pagadian and Zamboanga while the Agora Terminal caters to trips going to Gingoog, Butuan, Malaybalay, Valencia, Wao, Kidapawan, Davao and Camiguin Island (via Balingoan Port). Agora has a reputation among residents as being a somewhat more dangerous place than the rest of this peaceful safe city–don’t let it stop you from using the bus service, but don’t hang around Agora at night longer than you need to and keep cameras/phones tucked in.

The Itinerary For Cagayan de Oro-Camiguin Trip

This is the proposed itinerary for our Cdo-Camiguin Leg. Please note that this is subject to change depending on participants’ concerns, which is only Sheila and Me.

Day 1 Arrival at Cagayan de Oro

This is our arrival day at Cagayan de Oro City. Sheila and I will be on seperate flights, so just like what happened with me in Busuanga, I would have to wait for Sheila’s arrival. Today’s activity will definitely have to be the white-water rafting. This is actually 3 hours and most of the package that I have seen range anywhere from Php700-1000 and this does not include the lunch yet. I guess we’d have to eat lunch prior to the rafting. For this adventure, I found Rafting Adventure Philippines. This was one of the agencies showcased in the Philippine Travel Mart held last September 2009 in Megamall. Their website features all of their activities including the rates for the adventure. I chose their Group Rafting which is described as follows:

Group Rafting Trips

Get hyped and gear up your day as you go paddling the wild waters of the spectacular Cagayan de Oro River while building up amity with in your friends, officemates and colleagues in your companies. We customized your river trip by doing “Team Building” activities along the way. This trip is good for firms, big groups and company outings.

Regular Rate:

Beginners Php700/pax

Advance Php1000/pax

Packages are negotiable

Inclusion:

Free Transportation vice-versa

Safety Gears (Helmets, Buoyancy aid, Paddle) and

Dry bags for valuable things (e.g. mobile phones, wallets, wrist watches, cameras, etc.)

Schedule: Any day of the week

1st Trip: 8:00 a.m.

2nd Trip: 12:00 noon

What to wear and bring?

Beach Attire preferably quick dry clothes

Rash guards or Long sleeves

Extra Clothes and Toiletries

Personal Zip locks

Aqua Shoes, Sandals or Slippers (preferably with straps)

Sun blocks or Sun screens

SLR or Digital Camera’s (dry bag will be provided) and

Your Sense of Humor

Other options for the day which can be squeezed into our 1st day would be a trip to Macahambus Adventure Park. Adventures lined up for this park includes rappel and zip-line across trees a hundred feet above ground. If we still have time we can probably drop by the Mapawa Nature Park which is ideal for horseback riding, biking, zipline and nature trekking. After all these adventures, we can try to experience CdO’s NIGHTLIFE!

Day 02: Welcome Camiguin Island!

I was told that there are a lot of things and places to visit at Camiguin. Moreover, there are also several beautiful resorts to stay at which is really easy on the budget. Since we’ll be staying for one night in Camiguin, I will also have to look for a resort who allows one night of stay, probably one of the cheaper ones in the area. Here’s a 2-day Camiguin Island tour schedule I saw online that could fit into ours:

7:15AM, ETD Balingoan Pier Cagayan De Oro

Note: Ferry schedule 7:15am, 9:00am, 10:15am, 1:15pm, 2:50pm, 4:15pm

8:15AM, ETA Benoni Pier Camiguin

8:30AM – 8:30PM, have a day tour of these tourist spots, arranged chronologically as follows:

2. Soda Water Pool (swimming)

Day 4: A Trip To Nearby Iligan City

Tinago Falls is a waterfall in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Iligan, a city known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls. Legend has it that there once lived an influential and powerful Sultan Agok and her wife. They were appointed by their people as their king and queen. But they become too proud of themselves and became selfish rulers of their kingdom. When the sultan’s wife was pregnant, an enchantress, disguised as a beggar, begged for their help but instead they exiled and rejected her. Because of this, the enchantress cursed the couple that the child will become ugly but they did not took it seriously and permanently banished the enchantress.

Tinago Falls in Iligan City

When the child was born, the child did become ugly. The couple was sad and disappointed, expecting the baby to be as lovely as her mother. They hid the child in a cave to avoid embarrassment and named the baby Tin-ag, which means “hidden face”. They visited and took care of the baby in the cave. When the child grew up, she came out of the cave and became amazed at what she saw. The enchantress, who cursed her parents, saw her and made an offer to transform her into something of great beauty and splendor. She accepted the offer and became the Tinago Falls.

Going to Iligan City takes about an estimated 1.5 hours by bus from Cagayan de Oro City. It is located in a deep ravine in Barangay Ditucalan, Iligan City. Other falls to see would be the Maria Cristina Falls along the Agus River. Both are sources of hydro-electric power for most of Mindanao.

From being a form of transportation to a most wanted adventure sport rafting has come a long way. It started way back in 1418 as a way to transfer people from one place to another until few years later when people started enjoying it and it was no more a leisure activity. At first rafts were made of wood logs stuck together but by 1840 rubber rafts were invented and were used by the American army to survey the mountains and plains.

The first whitewater tour was undertaken not until the end of the nineteenth century. Gradually private companies intervened and the rafting became a full fledged leisure activity. In 1956 an American elite ran the first ever floating trip in America. The activity had a great response and by 1960-70 companies were formed offering rafting trips. In the year 1972 rafting was no more leisure. It has become a serious sport and its introduction to Munich Olympic Games in 1972 proved that. Then followed a series of games like the 1992 Barcelona Games and the 1996 Atlanta Games where rafting was part of the competition.

Today 100’s of companies have sprouted in every nook and corner of the country and people have become aware of the existence of this sport.

Why choose rafting?

The reasons are simple. You love water. River Rafting is addictive. It is affordable and the best part is it doesn’t require previous experience. Anyone can do it.

Rafting gives you a unique sense of escape. When you flow with the water you get a unique feeling of being away from civilization. You view sheer nature all around you. You are absorbed by the fresh smell of trees and the crisp air. You absorb the pictures that come in a series one by one of pure nature and all the five elements of it.

If you are new, you will get a chance to learn to paddle in the cold chilly water. The atmosphere is very calm and learning becomes fun. You can spend time with family and enjoy the soft sounds of water ripples and get lost in the music that is created when the winds rustle the trees and the rafts thuds into the river making gurgling sound. What can be compared to the sounds of the roaring rapids? The excitement of having a huge drop. The whiteness of the frothy water.

If this is not enough here are a few then below are more reasons for you to try rafting this year.

A great reason to be outdoors

Challenging enough to take your mind of daily rut your life has grown used to.

Helps you develop skills such as tolerance, presence of mind and strength of course.

Being a group activity it is fun when done with family or friends.

If you are tight on your budget rafting is what you have been looking for. Absolutely affordable everyone should try it,

While in the water adrenaline rushes are guaranteed.

And after you have done all that you can spend all your time bragging about how the dangerous the river was and how well you guys tackled! Be prepared for people around you to look at with awe, jaws dropped or turn green with envy.

Preparations for rafting trip

Bragging of course, but to relate authentic information is more satisfying then simply cooking up stories. SO to make your rafting experience memorable here are a few tips you can follow.

Drunk, go back home! – If you thought this was like your road trip where you could drive and drink then you might like to rethink. For rafting trip never show up drunk. You might end up paying and leave without any sort of rafting experience.

First time? Don’t worry. This is not rocket science – You do not need to change your routine or go for fitness training prior to rafting. Although after rafting you will be sore and have bruises but that is just part of the experience.

Sick? Inform your instructors – If you have heart condition, spinal injuries, diabetes or any such medical condition inform in advance. They won’t stop you from playing but it is good that they are aware.

Be a good team player: To have a good team you ought to pick right people. Its that simple. You should have clear ides of who are skilled and who would need help. Mix and match and create a team which will see the end of the route successfully.

Don’t doze off when the instructor lectures! Those instructions will save your from danger so pay attention.

Wear comfortable clothes. If you are rafting in a cold place wear woolen clothes. Wets suits are best for springs and in summers you can wear all that you like.

Emergency? Handle it this way – Not many times do life threatening situations arise but even in those situations it is wise to keep calm. Panicking takes away life quickly than the actual water.

Call your guides as they are equipped with first aid box and emergency equipments.

Many people’s mind set change after their first tryst with water. The memories that rafting leave are to last a lifetime. These days you even have people taping your expeditions! So what more can you ask for? Go for it! The white waters are beckoning!

With all its beaches, it will come as no surprise that water sports are high on the agenda. Bali is a surfer’s paradise, with the best surfing for experts in Uluwatu and Canggu and in Kuta for beginners. Scuba diving is another popular choice, as the water in Bali is warm all year long. The best diving spots are in the east in Amed and Tulamben where you can take PADI certified diving courses. You can also snorkel here, or head to the west to Menjangan (Deer) Island, which supposedly has the best variety of fish and coral.

Other water activities include white water rafting in Sayan, west of Ubud; kayaking on some of the quieter rivers and on Lake Tamblingan; canoeing at Lake Batur; and dolphin watching by sunset in Lovina in the north.

In Nusa Dua, Sanur and other coastal resorts, wind surfing, parasailing, jet skiing, and other water related fun such as banana boat, flying fish, etc. can be found in abundance.

Hiking through the rice paddies is a good way to explore the inland and small villages of Bali. And so is mountain biking. Bike-Baik or Banyantree tours organize downhill cycling tours with visits to farms and plantations. Both activities can take you up the volcanoes, which are definitely worth a visit, and overall not too strenuous.

If you decide to stay in a resort, you can make use of the golf courses, tennis courts and swimming pools. You can also go fishing, bungee jumping, or sailing to one of the smaller nearby islands. If you go sailing, you can either rent a luxury yacht for the day, or hire a local perahu for an hour or so.

Not being an athletic person myself, I have undoubtedly missed a few sports, but we did go parasailing in Sanur, which was great fun.

Cesky Krumlov – July 21st 2009.

So I go and grab a bite from the nearby 99 cafe with a coffee whilst checking some things to do before the days big trip. I duck off down to the Cesky Krumlov Hdrany (castle). I make my way over the moat and am greeted with a sign which read “Don’t feed bears!”. Which seemed kind of odd in such a town. But lo and behold, down in the castle moat is 2 brown bears going about their business, though it seems quite sad that they are locked up like that.

Through the castle gates, I decide to climb up to the top of the Castle tower, where it takes a few minutes up to the top of the tower, where you get amazing views of the little town. Rather picturesque.

I head on up through the castle grounds – there are plenty of Castle buildings to explore but it costs a bit to go into them. So I head up to the manicured gardens and then down and watch some of the rafters going down the Vltava river.

I go down to the supermarket to get some beers and drinks for the rafting we’re doing this afternoon, but run into Adam and his friend who suggest I go in with them. So we go back to the hostel with our case of beer (66cl bottles) and wait around with the others for the rafting expedition.

I try to upload photos onto my hard drive, but for some reason it doesnt happen (hence why there are no photos of prague or ceksy that I took but my friends were kind of enough to let me ’steal’ theirs).

Most hostels in Cesky Krumlov offer a rafting experience. Its not like a normal sort of rafting experience with rapids and that. But this rafting trip was more like a pub crawl on water.

There are two rafts with about 8 on each raft. We get taken down to the river and hop aboard and crack open the first drink and float down the river. Its not long til we are at the first bar, and enjoying another beer.

We head to the next stop and have a bit of a swim and more beers. Things get a bit sketchy on the next float. Halfway to the next bar I get the urge to piss. So I hop over the side of the raft, hang on and do my business. Somewhere during this little detour of mine, someone doesnt keep us on course and we set off straight for a tree and collide into it. Shit goes everywhere, we lose a bunch of things. List thus far: Video camera, ring, wallet, oar and my camera. Although the wallet was recovered later on. A bit of carnage one could say.

We get to the next stop where, Clare decides to hug the side of the boat and spew everywhere. Whilst the rest of us grab beers and sit around. At one stage, Ashley begs her friend Kelly for some money. But because shes a wee bit drunk, ok rephrase, massively drunk we make her do a jig a half dozen times. It still doesn’t get her money, so she steals Kelly’s money and runs off. Only to trip over 10m from where we were and for Kelly to walk over and pick up the money.

We continue on down to the last few stops of the trip and end up at a huge campsite where a lot of of rafters are camping. A few people a little worse for wear and spewing everywhere. We end up back at the campsite and have a hot shower.

We settle in for the evening on the patio, having a few cold beers and a cheap dinner from the pub next door. We end up back in the kitchen celebrating Adam’s birthday and counting the damage. We end up being involved in an impromptu jam session by the irish man.
