I think we can agree that yelling at people in frustration is not the best way to pass on informatio

I think we can agree that yelling at people in frustration is not the best way to pass on information. (See yesterday’s post and comments.)

But when we’re playing in a group in a MMO, a lot of information needs to be communicated quickly. Are we trying to focus fire and if so, does everyone know what they are supposed to be hitting at any time? Do you need to ask another player to remove a debuff from you? Have you just used a cooldown that your tank or healer or dps needs to know about? Are you going to assume someone else’s role because they just died in combat?

A lot of our abilities are designed to interlock with each other. A buff from one player might significantly affect the abilities or optimal ability use of another. If you have debuffs, you need to know when to use them. When you think about it, that’s a crazy amount of information that needs to be assimilated quickly.

So how do we do it?

Pre Pre-planning. This is where you discuss the fight and tactics in detail on a bboard before you even step into the instance.

Pre-planning. If you know what will happen in a fight, you can pre-arrange the kill order, any crowd control, any other tactics, and roughly when significant buffs will be used.

UI. We rely heavily on the user interface for information about when players have buffs or debuffs active on them. This is automatic information provided by the game (and the UI addons, if you use them) and doesn’t require anyone to actually say ‘I’m poisoned!’

Flashy graphics. Some spells just come with very unmistakeable graphical effects that no one can miss if they’re paying attention.

Boss cues. Some bosses will cue before they make a special attack with either a graphic or some kind of yell. Games don’t tend to use pure audio cues; I’d like to think this was in respect of deaf gamers but it’s probably just because they know a lot of people play with the sound off.

Text and macros. Sometimes the easiest way to inform your group or raid when you’ve used a cooldown or buff is to macro in an automatic comment on group or raid chat when you activate it. eg. ** Just used Bloodlust ** The only problem is … not everyone reads text chat in the middle of a fight.

Shout on voice chat. Best saved for if something really unexpected happens and pre-arranged plans have to change on the fly. Also probably best left for the raid leader.

We don’t. No one says or types a word. We just assume we roughly know what they’ll be doing and go with it. (Really common in 5 man instances in WoW these days, or any content where it isn’t critical to micro-manage.)

Either way, it is a huge amount of information to process and I think regular raiders often forget how enormously overwhelming it may have felt when you first tried a raid, particularly as a healer or debuffer.

Broadcasting Taunts

Given the sheer amount of information flying around, I’ve always tended to the cautious side when I’m deciding which of my abilities and cooldowns to publicise. I was thinking about this lately because with the heroic beasts fight, we do a lot of tank switching in the first part. So I picked up an addon which would automatically tell people on the raid channel when I’d used various different abilities. What I really wanted was to let people know if a taunt had failed, but I figured I might as well add an inform about Shield Wall also (it’s a tanking cooldown).

You know the worst part? Not people complaining about spam because actually no-one complained. I got the impression it was felt to be generally useful. Nope, the most difficult part about automatically informing your group when you use an ability is that … they automatically also get informed when you press the button by mistake.

You don’t realise how naked this makes you feel until you try it. I mean, OF COURSE I press taunt at the wrong time sometimes. So does every tank who ever lived, unless they have it bound somewhere really inaccessible. If it’s not being broadcast, you just whisper to the other tank afterwards and apologise. They’ll shrug it off, we all do it. If using taunt by mistake means it wasn’t up when you really needed it then you can always fake that it missed or failed. But if you broadcast your abilities, then suddenly your entire raid becomes a backseat driver. Or at least it can feel that way.

So one positive side to broadcasting my taunts and cooldowns? You can bet I’m way more careful with them now. There’s no doubt that it’s made me a better player, in that sense at least.

No, not that KT! The one in Tempest Keep. Last night was Classic Raid Night at Crits so 17 of us wandered to Netherstorm to take on Kael’Thas and pray for a mount like this one.

It was all fun and games … lots of turning people into leper gnomes and skeletons with leftover wands from Hallow’s End, lots of drinking Brewfest Brew and dancing, lots of misdirecting mobs to the level 73 warlock … you know, the usual.

Until we got to KT himself, of course. What a fight! I got mind controlled … and wiped out most of the raid. My scrolling battle text flashes on the screen in big letters whenever I get a killing blow. Ya … I got KBs on at least two people in the raid. Oops?

Next fight went fine though because now we’d seen it once. When someone got mind controlled, they got sheeped. No problem. Achievement spam ftw.

We headed back to A’lar because we had saved him for last … and that’s when the battlegroup went down. Doh!

Sooo … I talked Trout into logging onto his cute belflock on Dawnbringer. Juna and Teufel had lots of fun bouncing turkeys legs and pumpkin pie off each others’ heads.

He even danced nekkid on the table! I’m sure Arioch will approve.

So we hit all four cities and got our Pilgrims’ Paunch then he had to go to bed. So I got on my little belf pally Galor and did all the quests….and killed a ton of turkeys.

Karius and Kalyon should be getting their titles and pets today, so I’m off to do that now. Bye bye!

So here in the States, it’s Thanksgiving week…a time where we take trips to see family members we really don’t want to see, eat until we’d want to puke except the l-tryptophan in the turkey’s made us too sleepy to lean over the toilet, and, oh yeah, watch the Detroit Lions lose. Again. (In the Panzercow family’s case, this Thanksgiving week will be taken up by packing, cleaning, and moving into a new bunker across town, broken by Thanksgiving dinner at Maggiano’s. Something tells me by Saturday, I’ll be thankful for Ben-Gay.)

A lot of raids, including The Anvil, are off this week–in our case, because we raid Thursday and Friday, taking the week off is a no-brainer. This enforced rest is a good time to sit and think about what we’ve done in the past near-year of Wrath of the Lich King, and start planning for what’s coming over the horizon…patch 3.3 and Icecrown Citadel, the last big raid before Blizzard blows the whole thing up with Cataclysm sometime next year.

Let’s talk about Lich King raids. In the beginning, of course, there was Naxxramas. Yeah, Blizzard grabbed Naxxramas out of the bottom of one of those bright blue plastic recycling bins and ran it through the crusher to reform it into Wrath of the Lich King’s first raid. But Naxx in and of itself is, I think, a fairly well-designed raid instance. You can tell it’s an old-world vanilla WoW raid because of the amount of trash inside…overall, though, they did a pretty good job freshening it up for level 80s.

The thing that shocked people upon starting to play around in Naxxramas was how fecking easy it was, by design. Naxxramas was proof that Blizzard wanted to make raiding accessible to far more people in WotLK, and they succeeded. Any raid group that wasn’t made up of people who ate lots of lead-based paint as a child could walk in there and clear two wings the very first night. Get yourself a reasonable amount of heroic dungeon or ilevel 200 crafted gear, and lrn2play, and yes, you too could stand astride Naxxramas like a colossus. We didn’t exactly dominate the entire place in one night when we started 25-mans in there, but it didn’t take us that long. We went from a standing stop to dropping Kel’Thuzad in something like five weeks. In BC, with largely the same cast of characters, we spent longer than that working on Lady Vashj in Serpentshrine Cavern alone. We never did get Kael’thas down until the 3.0 patch went in, at which point we were able to roflstomp him. After SSC and TK, Naxxramas was a Caribbean vacation, complete with college girls (or cabana boys, if you’d prefer).

Enter Ulduar. Ulduar was a return–somewhat–to old-school raiding. Unlike Naxxramas, Ulduar made you work, at least a little, for your rewards. I wrote about this a few times back in April when The Anvil started on 25-man Ulduar. It still wasn’t SSC or TK or Hyjal or Black Temple, and nowhere close to the oh-God-kill-me-now difficulty in Sunwell Plateau. But compared to Naxx, it was challenging.

And Ulduar itself, I think, is Blizzard’s crowning achievement in raid instances, just barely displacing Karazhan from that spot. It’s big, it feels grand and epic. It’s pretty. There’s enough trash to help you make your repair bills back, and the trash will bite you if you get lazy. And the boss fights are varied and interesting. There’s a vehicle fight that, unlike Malygos, doesn’t suck a bowling ball through a silly straw. There’s fights that require offtanking, fights that require tank-switching, fights that require splitting your group, fights that require mobility, fights that are straight-up tank-and-spanks…and Yogg-Saron, which is up to fifteen minutes of pure craziness on crystal meth. And with the introduction of “hard modes,” once you’d mastered the basic content, you could start ramping up the difficulty at your own pace and ability, in order to score achievements and some extra loot. I’m not a big fan of hard modes in general because it feels like I’m only getting half the content I would be otherwise, but even I have to admit, in Ulduar, it worked. We’ve been raiding Ulduar for seven months and we’ve only just now been able to get XT-002’s Heartbreaker, for example…and are still working on things like Freya +2, Thorim hardmode, or (oh God the pain) Mimiron’s Firefighter.

And then, we got patch 3.2. And we got the Icecrown County Fair…uh, Trial of the Crusader. In which Blizzard took all the good stuff about Ulduar and threw it right out the window into a passing garbage truck.

Now, I know that 3.2 was “filler” content between Ulduar in 3.1 and Icecrown Citadel in 3.3. To ask for a Double Stuf Oreo’s worth of filling in between those two crunchy cookies, eh, that may be a bit much. But ToC isn’t even a real Oreo. It’s one of those crappy store-brand versions that’s got about 0.3 mm of godawful fake-vanilla stuff in between two stale soggy wafers.

Where to start. Well, how about…it’s one room? That’s it. One big round room. It might as well be a Coke machine. Right-click human dude to insert $1.25, machine dispenses refreshing beverage…uh, pissy magmataur, two huge-ass worms, and a yeti. (Don’t stand in the yeti.) What’s worse? They recycled the same frigging room for the 5-man heroic dungeon. Art fail.

But the real screwup isn’t how it looks, it’s how it plays. When we finally headed into ToC for the first time, we dropped the first three encounters in about 2 1/2 hours. That’s pretty good for a first time into a raid instance. But here’s the trick–we got loot off those three encounters that absolutely peed all over the loot we were getting out of Ulduar at the time…where we were still working on difficult fights like Thorim and Vezax.

The fights in ToC aren’t difficult. They’re stupidly easy for the rewards that you’re given. They’re gimmick fights…learn the gimmick, and they’re yawners. Only Faction Champions (the ultimate broken-ass faux-PvP nerdrage fight, now nerfed down to Faction Declawed Kittens) and Anub’arak will keep you awake in normal ToC. Pretty soon, we were sharding two-thirds of the loot we picked up in Ulduar because our core group had already blown past that tier of stuff and were picking up ilevel 239/245 things out of 10- or 25-man ToC every week.

We cleared normal ToC after four weeks of work. That’s right, kids, we cleared a Tier 9 instance faster than we did Naxxramas. And all that time, we were scoring ilevel 245 loot and Tier 9 badges at a feverish pace. This wasn’t just a vending machine, it was a stuck vending machine that kept dropping cold Cokes on our feet. We can now walk into normal ToC and clear the whole thing out in less than an hour and fifteen minutes…and get around sixteen piece of ilevel 245 loot and 15 Badges of Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog. Were it not for hard modes, we wouldn’t even be going to Ulduar any more. And even when we do get the hard modes, it’s just to say we did it. The rewards from them simply can’t compare to what we get sleepwalking our way through ToC. Mudflation, much?

But ToC has one final kick in the nuts to deliver. Switch it to heroic.

Our raid group could demolish ToC normal, no sweat. Then we walked in there on heroic and got owned. As in, couldn’t get Gormok past 35%, forget the Twin Jormungar or Icehowl. Gormok’s Impales were landing for 40k–that was 85% of my buffed health, in one shot–near the end of the fight. Yes, I know, you’re supposed to use a rotation similar to what the tank gets on Mimiron’s Shock Blast–Hand of Something, Pain Suppression, Shield Wall, etc. But I am not, to put it mildly, a fan of fights that basically come down to “if the priest lags for a half-second, and the RNG hates your dodge%, you’re dead and there’s damn all you can do about it.” That issue aside, now this is the beat-your-face-in difficulty level I expect from a Tier 9 instance that can give me ilevel 245+ stuff.

The difficulty gap between Trial of the Crusader and Trial of the Grand Crusader is the size of the Grand Canyon. And it’s not so much because ToGC is too hard, although I’ve got issues with some of the fight designs (see Gormok above). It’s because ToC is way, way, waaaaaay too easy for the rewards you get.

It is horrific design all around, and even though I go every week and tank it or DPS it for The Anvil, I am most heartily sick of it. I do my job so we can get out of there faster and get on to something else that is actually fun and challenging…be it Ulduar, be it Onyxia (which still rocks my socks off), be it even Trial of the Grand Oh God Not The Face.

This leaves us, as a raid, in a holding pattern, and the strain may be starting to show. We’re doing ToC every week to gear up for Icecrown, but it’s not like we can try hardmodes on normal ToC a la Ulduar. We grind through our 15 badges, and then we go to the familiar confines of Ulduar to work on hardmodes, which are still actually hard to us, or Onyxia. Every so often we take another poke at ToGC to see if we’ve ramped up our DPS and strategy for Beasts, but I don’t know how much heart we’ve got in that right now…because that will be a long grind to power through, given how hard it is, and 3.3 draws ever closer.

You have no idea how much I’m looking forward to Icecrown Citadel. Bring it on, Arthas, I’m waiting.

We just introduced RAIDML™, a new multi-level (ML) approach that provides the highest levels of data protection for mission-critical files and applications. RAIDML is now an integrated part of StoneFly’s Voyager HA IP SAN, which offers the ability to create No Single Point of Failure (NSPOF) volumes as well as RAID 5 or 6 protected volumes. Both NSPOF and traditional RAID sets with comprehensive auto fail-over and fail-back capabilities are protected. The creation of RAIDML saves costs and reduces the need for doubling drives to meet NSPOF requirements. Use our RAID calculator to help choose the RAID level that’s right for you. To read more about our new RAIDML features, check out the news release.

I had an interesting and mostly successful week raiding. All of my major targets (ToC, Ony, VoA) were defeated on both 10/25 man.

My guild only does 10 man raids, so I had to PuG all of the 25 man versions. As you all know, PuG raids are a crapshoot. I got really lucky with ToC and got in a very efficient group that rolled right through Anub. I wasn’t quite as lucky with Onyxia. It took me 4 different PuGs before I finally got in one that downed her. My VoA group also dissolved after defeating Koralon. At least I got all of the triumph raids down, as that was my main goal.

The only negative was that I knocked out these raids early in the week, so I had very little left to do on the weekend. I don’t really care about achievements and alts, I mainly like to raid. I spent the weekend trying to find a PuG 10/25 Trial of the Grand Crusader, but I didn’t have any luck. Do these run on any of your realms? Are they ever successful?

One thing that I always find interesting is how guilds handle loot. There are three main systems that guilds use and I’m going to talk about the pros and cons of each system. Before I get started, I’ll let you know in advance that I’m a big supporter of DKP (Dragon Kill Point) based systems.

Random – Random is just how it sounds. Everyone that deems an item an upgrade rolls between 1 and 100 and the highest roll wins. This is the most common method used in PuGs. I think this method works best with the smaller 10 man raids.

Advantages

Takes human decision making out of the equation.

There is little to no ambiguity in this system.

Generally faster than the other methods.

Makes it easier to recruit PuGs if needed.

Disadvantages

Doesn’t reward commitment.

Doesn’t encourage participation.

Rewards Luck.

Many times items don’t go to who benefits most.

Loot Council – This system allows the leadership of the guild to award raid items. I’m personally not a big fan of this system because I have seen too many problems arise from it.

Advantages

Allows guilds to address immediate needs.

Allows guilds to distribute items to members who benefit most.

Disadvantages

Major source of guild drama.

A lot of work for the loot council.

Requires officers to make difficult decisions that open them up to allegations of favoritism.

DKP - DKP systems reward points for meeting various raid objectives. These points are used to purchase items. There are several variations.

Advantages

Everyone knows the rules in advance.

Takes decision making out of the hands of the officers.

Rewards participation and loyalty.

Disadvantages

Most DKP systems are very complex.

Items don’t always go to who needs them most.

Tends to create an “elite” class.

Can make it difficult for new recruits to catch up.

I’m always a fan in whatever causes the least amount of drama. In my opinion, DKP systems seem to cause the least amount of drama. Each version of DKP can have it’s problems, but at least everyone knows the rules ahead of time.

I have major issues with loot councils. Even though they are often times ran with the best of intentions, someone is always unhappy. I have seen multiple guilds fold over decisions made by loot councils.

What do you prefer?

Pardon me while I get my geek on: It turns out that chip on a 3Ware AMCC LSI 9650SE RAID card under

Pardon me while I get my geek on:

It turns out that chip on a 3Ware AMCC LSI 9650SE RAID card under the heatsink is so for a reason. I don’t know what that chip does, but it gets awfully damn hot. The stock heatsink is only wahfer-thin, which is curious because it isn’t the tallest part of the card, and there is considerable room for a larger one.

For background, I took my card of my server and booted to my external hard drive while I think on the subject. Without the four Seagate Barracuda drives spinning the only things making noise are the power supply and an extremely quiet 120mm fan pointed at the video card. That card coincidentally is an ancient 32MB nVidia piece which I chose because it will do 1280×1024 in a PCI slot without a fan. (That it was 10 bucks on eBay was a benefit, too) The 2.5″ drive in my external enclosure is nearly silent, I can just barely hear it if I stop typing and listen very carefully indeed.

So at the moment I’m enjoying some nearly-silent computing. The only thing left is a fanless power supply, and those are all kinds of money. (If you’re wondering about the CPU, it is a Celeron 430 with a heatsink the size of a loaf of bread. It doesn’t need a fan at all.)

Anyway, the RAID card. The stock heatsink is about 0.030″ (oh fine, I’ll check… 0.0426″, I was halfway close) larger in width than a heatsink I purchased for a Pelletier cooler I was going to use for something else. As luck would have it, it is a matter of removing two rows of fins and presto, a big giant heatsink which looks like it belongs there. The next slot over is PCI-e x1 and I have nothing to go in it, so I don’t feel the need to trim the 1″+ fins on this heatsink to fit into the standard card spacing.

The thing I must consider is whether or not to trim the fins anyway. If I’m going to go to the trouble of using the bandsaw at work to pop off the extra fins, I might as well, no? It’ll be a bit of bother to clamp it to the guide, but I’m only making one.

Speaking of attaching this new heatsink, I suppose I could epoxy a heatsink-sized copper shim to the chip itself (which is maybe .75″ square) and pull the old thermal paste in the middle/thin seam of epoxy along the edges trick, that would work well enough and not add much thickness.

Much to do, I suppose. I can live without the RAID volume for a day or two, and anyway it turns out the external drive is pretty close for read speed. That tells me that the motherboard is the issue, but RAID 5 for me is more about reliability than gee-whiz read speeds.

Nalaza tamin’ny ‘Mada Raid‘ ilay iraikalahy nisatroka penjy izay tamin’ny fo

Nalaza tamin’ny ‘Mada Raid‘ ilay iraikalahy nisatroka penjy izay tamin’ny fotoan’androny. Nahavita nitety faritra maro teto Madagasikara tamin’ny ‘4 fois 4′ mantsy izy. Ary dia izay no nataon’ny sasany hirahira nony avy eo.

Androany kosa dia izaho no mba hihirahira, fa ry zareo ankehitriny indray dia halaza atsy ho atsy amin’ny ‘World Raid‘. Nahoana hoy ianao? Araho kely ary ny fanazavako azy:

Nitranga ny olana teto Madagasikara, tsy nety novahana raha tsy nadehanana tany Maozambika (in-droa mihitsy an!) mba hanendrena ireo izay ho mpitarika ity firenena ity. Dia nahazo tokoa moa izany nony ela ny ela. Nahazo ny praiminisitra e! Dia arahabaina fa nitera-dahy.

Tsy nitsahatra teo fa mbola tsy maintsy nandeha nivoaka ny faritry ny Nosy indray mba hanendry izay tena ho filoha hitantana ny tetezamita, ka tonga tany Addis-Abeba. Dia mbola arahabaiko koa fa tera-dahy fanindroany. Ary tonga dia kamban-telo an!

Dia mitohy ihany ny tantara, satria izao indray dia saro-piterahana governemanta ny Malagasy ka dia tsy maintsy hijery renivohitra hafa (ankoatr’ilay VALALAN’AMBOA). Ary dia any , hono, no ho hita na lahy na ho vavy no teraka eo. Tenin’ingahy Fetison Rakoto Andrianirina io. Ary dia re, honohono, ihany koa fa tsy mahalala velively ny amin’izay fanapahan-kevitra izay andriamatoa Andry RAJOELINA. Tsy ataoko mahagaga satria toy ny zaza ’siamois‘ no fahitako an’ity fitondrana tetezamita ity: vatana iray, tànana roa, tongotra roa, saingy loha anankitelo; loha telo samy manana ny masony, izay tsy voatery hitodika amin-javatra iray tokony hiraisana; orona tsirairay avy izay samy haheno fofona mitovy saingy, atidoha telo samy hànana ny fandikàny ho azy manokana ny fiaviana sy ny fiantraikan’ilay fofona ren’ny orony tsirairay teo. Hafahafa an! Mahagaga! Nefa dia izay no fahitako azy.

Raha io no jerena dia tsy ilay hoe ‘ny biby tsy manan-doha, tsy mandeha‘ irery intsony no ohabolana milaza tsy fandehan-javatra, fa misy vaovao tokony hapetraka , dia ny hoe ‘ny biby maroloha tsy mihetsika‘, satria dia tsy mihetsika tokoa ny raharaham-pirenena hatreto.

Fa izay mahalasa ny saiko sy tiako hahatongavana dia ity: tena tsy azo anaovana na inona na inona, ary tsy mendrika hifampidinihana ve eto amin’ity Tanindrazantsika ity?

Raha mitohy mantsy izao zava-mitranga izao, dia ahiako ho na ny fanapahana izay ho Tale isan-karazany any amin’ireny Ministera ireny, na ny Sefo madinidinika, eny fa hatramin’ny Sefom-pokontany aza angamba dia mbola hidongy hanao ‘World Raid’ koa ny sasany vao hanaiky fa hoe ‘izay no tapaka, io no laniera’.

Sambatra ihany ianareo ao ambony ao zalahy ka! Afaka mitsangatsangana amin’ny volabe-nareo. Afaka manao fandaniana mihoam-pampana (raha tena marina fa handeha hivoaka isaky ny misy manahirana).

Hendry vahoaka aloha ianareo hatreto, nefa tandremo fa ity misy fiteniko matetika amin’ireo zatra manararaotra ny fahatsorana indraindray. ‘Rehefa matory aho, mivonkina. Fa raha taitra tampoka aho, mitsipaka ambava-fo‘

‘AZA MANADINO ANAAY E! ‘NAREO ‘ZAY ANY AMBONY ANYYY

ASA RAHA MISY MANDRAAY E! ‘ZANY VAVAKAY IZANY! ‘

Hoy Alain RAMAROSON tao amin’ny TVM androany hariva hoe: Raha te-hiasa any ivelany any, hono, ingahy Fetison, dia afaka mandeha miasa any. Fa tsy maimay fotsiny holaniana ho co-president de la Tansition, nefa tsy hahatapaka ahitra, fa tsy maintsy handeha haka ny hevitry ny filohan’ny firehana misy azy isaky ny misy fanapahan-kevitra tokony horaisina.

Nilaza tokoa mantsy ingahy Fetison fa isan’ny antony hanaovana ilay fivoahana ny tsy maha eto an-toerana ireo roalahy filohana firehana (Ratsiraka sy Ravalomanana)

Fanampim-baovao (23/11/2009) : izay olona rehetra anontaniana eny an-dalàna dia samy tsy mankasitraka daholo intsony ny hivoahana any ivelany, isak’izay hitady vahaolana. Misy mihitsy aza no milaza fa raha tena tia tanindrazana marina izy efa-dahy, dia ORA IRAY FOTSINY DIA EFA VOATOLOTRA NY GOVERNEMANTA. Asa aloha e! Ny vahoaka angaha moa mba manam-pidiny. Izay tian’izy efa-dahy ihany io. Ce que j’aime, hoy ilay hira iray izay.

Ankoatra izay dia miverina isan’andro indray izao ny fivoriana etsy amin’ny MAGRO Ankorondrano mandra-pivoak’ireo gadra politika rehetra.

Enjoy.

Another Thursday, another Ony10, another night of rogue and warrior drops when there are none in the raid. Oh well, at least it’s fast … got the achievement for killing her in less than 6 minutes.

Our 3s team hit 1000 rating last night, so I was able to purchase furious robes. I think that puts my resilience up around 450 now. Hm … I think I logged out in it, brb armory. Meh, 439. I’m getting real good at letting two melee beat on me until the hunter can kill one of them at the same time they kill me. I hate playing double melee teams. I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable with the new spec though, and at least feel like I’m contributing something to the team now, instead of just being carried by them.

Not much else happening, so … have a great weekend and I’ll see you all back here Monday!

Bang! So in a twist of the segment, I decided what I’ve got planned for Warcraft for this upcoming weekend. Lots of exciting stuff, at lease for me that is… Mining & Fishing to get my gold stash back up to a reasonable level… and I’ve given myself a sort of challenge…

I am going to test to see how much gold I can make in 1 month from Mining, Fishing, and the Cooking/Fishing daily in Dalaran. That’s it… no other dailies… nothing else… what ever I Mine and Fish will be sold on the AH periodically and we will see… My ultimate goal… I think I’ve given myself is 20k, I was going to make it 10k but I’ve made 5k in a week depending on the market on the AH… We will see in a few days I’ve made back almost 2k of the gold I spent to level Engineering.

In other news, I’ll be raiding tonight (Friday)… yahoo!!! I think this is the first weekend I don’t really have to worry about a paper to write or an exam I have to study for… which is really nice… so I will be all into the game tonight…
