What is interesting about weather isn’t just its impact on our daily lives, but that forecasting weather has changed into one of today’s trendiest hobbies. Weather gizmos and related instrumentation now make up a big part of fascinating home decor. A wireless rain gauge and other weather related gadgetry helps to serve practical as well as decorative purposes for the well designed home.
First up are weather stations. A weather station is a desktop weather center that is designed for those who are interested in achieving and maintaining perfect conditions in their living area or garden space. Weather stations sometimes display temperature and humidity levels for many locations and twelve to 20 4 hour advanced forecasting.

No more going out in the weather to determine rainfall ; a wireless garden rain gauge typically has a tracking range of about 100 feet and displays rainfall measurement history info.
There are now wind resistant and lighted umbrellas. Nobody might have had a suspicion that even the umbrella would go high tech. If you’re like most of the people, you have had your umbrella turn inside out in high winds, leading you to get soaked and pondering why you bothered with an umbrella in the 1st place. Now there are wind resistant umbrellas that are designed to stop that upsetting problem. Lighted umbrellas have a clear acrylic shaft which contains a light source that doesn’t require the bulb to get replaced.

A hygrometer measures relative humidity and has been added to the list of gadgets because they’re now programmed to display not simply the humidity, but temperature and almost every environmental factor imaginable. A recent trend has hygrometers scaled down to handheld sizes, designed for portability for out of doors enthusiasts. These units display current conditions on a digital display.
You can choose the right wireless rain gauge or any other weather gadgetry by simply understanding your needs. Many rain gauge wireless bases are simple to mount and include a sticky backing that allows the base and the remote to be stuck to the wall. Get a model that is built to last. Anything that is placed out of doors and is exposed to the elements should be water-resistant and durable with a weather-resistant housing.

Many people find it necessary to maintain a closeness with nature, and today this is often found in the home garden. A connection with the earth can be found in the garden, and many natural processes of life can be experienced. A way to understand these processes, and in turn gain a deeper understanding of them is to keep track of seasonal as well as daily changes in local weather. Outdoor thermometers are available that are both functional as well as unique. A decorative rain gauge is another way of monitoring natural cycles in the garden, while at the same time adding individual character to an outdoor space.

Last night I was sitting in my living rom and looked out my front windows. There was this strange “glow” to everything and I decided to go out in the front yard to see what was causing this strange color that had washed over everything. As I looked up into the sky this is what I saw.

The clouds were rolling in with the promise of rain on this dry earth.

Doesn’t God paint beautifully?! But this next picture was the most beautiful.

That’s my rain gauge with one inch – yes ONE INCH of rain in it. Then there was this…………

….an actual water puddle on my sidewalk. It quit raining about noon today so things have dried out a bit but the air feels so clean and fresh and the temperature is a bit cool. We have needed this rain for a long time and it’s already too late for some of our wheat farmers but maybe the cotton and peanuts will be okay. I might actually get my gardern planted this weekend since we won’t be going camping like we had hoped. It’s beginning to feel like spring in Oklahoma.
