“Chaahat” o “Amor”, es una película de bollywood, dirigida por Mahesh Bhatt (padre de la protagonista) y estrenada en junio de 1996.

La película narra la historia de Roop y de su padre Shambunath, al que simplemente llama “Daddy”, quien cae enfermo y debe trasladarlo a la capital para atenderlo. Allí, Roop conoce a Pooja, una joven de quien se enamora.

Roop consigue trabajo como cantante en el lujoso hotel del millonario Ajay Narang, donde su hermana Reshma se obsesiona con él. Roop necesita dinero para salvar a su padre, así que sacrifica su amor con Pooja ante la promesa de Ajay de pagar los gastos si le correponde a su hermana.

El amor de Roop y Pooja es muy fuerte, y huyen con su padre, tras haberse curado. Pero Ajay no se quedará tranquilo viendo el sufrimiento de su hermana, y emprende la búsqueda para vengarse.

Una película hermosa, romántica, graciosa, con escenas de acción, y canciones hermosas, entre ellas, “Chaahat na hoti”:

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was the first hit for Amitabh Bachchan in his second in innings. He played dual role in this movie, with Big B Govinda also played a dual role. South Indian heroine Ramya Krishna and Raveena Tandon were played the female lead roles in this movie.

Arjun Singh (Amitabh Bachchan) and Pyare Mohan (Govinda) are the cops who works in the same police station. They never works with co-operation. They struggles to handle a case about Jorawar. Mean while two guys who looking like Arjun and Mohan enters into the scene, they says their names as bade miyan and chote miyan.

The confusion to other characters because of this four characters raises laughs.Paresh Rawal and Anupam kher were appeared in two key roles. Govinda acted in his own style, Big B gave very new performance. Madhuri Dixit gave a special appearance for this movie.

Very much impressed with the title, I was eager to watch the movie. I took  some time to watch that movie in the weekend that  went by.

Koncham Istam Koncham Kastam is a decent movie by Kishore Kumar Parthasani and Nallamalupu Srinivas. Siddhardh gave life to the role of an MBA graduate, a serious flirt and the one who loves parents and wishes to stay with them together. Tamanna competed with Siddhardh as a village girl, who loves her father and comes to Hyderabad for her studies.

People expect Siddhardh’s movie to be decent. Atleast, I expected that. This movie is a neat and decent movie which every one can see. It explains how to sustain the bonding between two people in a family irrespective of the relationship.

Another important character is that of Brahmanandam’s as Gachibowli Diwakar. He is the one who loves cricket and he feels he is the third best player after Gavaskar and Tendulkar. The audience in the theater laughed the moment they saw him on the screen. He is one of the best comedians whose comedy I like the most.

Lyrics for the songs in the movie are very simple and good to listen. Music is sweet.

And every other character including that of  Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishna, Nassar, Samrat, Karuna, Sudha, Venu Madhav, Hema, Surekha… is very good and there is no scope for over acting in the movie. It is sweet and simple. Though not a super hit movie, it is definitely not a bad movie. It is worth watching once.

Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam is an engaging take on the subject of human relationships.Sidhu(Siddharth) ia a freebird and after completing his MBA he has nothing to do except for flirting with girls whom his mother(Ramya Krishna) teaches as a lecturer.Sidhu’s father(Prakash Raj) is divorced from Ramya since 18 years and Sidhu divides his time between his mother and father.Meanwhile he meets Geeta(Tamanna), who has come from her village for higher studies,through his friends.Slowly the hate between them transforms into love.Sidhu goes to Geeta’s village to claim her hand from her father,Subramanyam(Nazr).Subramanyam is against the marriage and promises to marry them both only if Sidhu is able to unite his divorced parents.That is the story till interval.From then on it proceeds to show how Sidhu brings his parents together and marries Geeta.

The entire movie is sprinkled with iridescent and thought provoking dialogues(Abburi Ravi,is in top form and reminds us of Bommarillu).The cast deliver a knock out performance.Siddharth is redoubtable in his performance.For a change the heroine is given a meaty role and Tamanna essays it exceedingly well.She pitches it high and matches Siddharth’s hyper persona with ease.Prakash Raj is eminently watchable as the workaholic dad who has no time for his family.His tough exterior belies his inner vulnerability.Only he could have played it and he plays it with characteristic panache.Ramya Krishna,the yesteryear heroine,is a pleasant surprise and  dons the role of a mother with ease.Nazr suits the role of heroine’s father to T.Brahmanandam and Venu Madhav provide riproaring slapstick comic scenes.The former takes the cake with his antics as ‘Gachibowli Diwakar’.His characterisation is conceptualised well by the writer.

The film is technically sound.Cinematography captures the mood well.Background Score is efficient.Editing by Sreekar Prasad is apt and suitable.The breezy score by Shankar Ehsaan Loy accentuates the movie and does not intrude into the narrative.

The film needs to be savoured bit by bit as it moves at a leisurely pace.There is no dull moment because of the light treatment given to the film.The director(Kishore Kumar) deserves praise for taking a new theme and executing it well.The film stands for family values and probity and needs to be watched for its sparkling performances and dialogues.Highly Recommended!!!
