The Wisconsin State Patrol said 51-year-old Randy Tape, of Prescott, Wis., died Wednesday in a hospital.

The crash’s only survivor, 53-year-old Tammy Decker, of Hastings, Minn., suffered non-life threatening injuries. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the patrol said.

The crash happened on May 20 around 4:29 p.m. on Highway 35, north of County Road QQ in Pierce County, Wis. Authorities say a 2008 Chevy Malibu was driving northbound when it struck a 1994 Chevy Lumina head-on.

Authorities said two people inside the Chevy Malibu were killed, and two inside the Chevy Lumina — Tape and Decker — were hurt and had to be airlifted to a hospital.

The Wisconsin State Patrol identified the victims from Stillwater as 72-year-old Richard Erwin Skare and 71-year-old Irene Ruth Skare. Authorities say Richard Skare was not wearing his seat belt, but Irene Skare was.
