Every Sunday after church, Hollys Coffee is pretty much the meeting spot for everyone. After lunch with friends, I usually head to this place to finish homework or chat with friends after service.

Compared to other cafes, Hollys Coffee has a great variety of drinks that are hard to find elsewhere. I usually get either a latte or an americano (you should know me by now), but americanos are actually placed at the way bottom of the top 10 popular drinks list.

The first one is café mocha, a shot of espresso with chocolate and vanilla whipped cream. The second drink is the white café mocha, a shot of espresso with white chocolate, which adds to the subtle taste. The third is the raspberry café mocha (which I’d personally like to try), a shot of espresso with chocolate and raspberry syrup to top it. The fourth featured drink is the caramel macchiato, a strong shot of espresso with vanilla syrup and caramel sauce. The fifth drink is hot chocolate – a classic (need I say more?). The sixth drink is the sweet potato latte, a harmony of sweet potato and milk. I actually tried this at another cafe, but just one piece of advice: only the first few sips taste good. After that, it starts tasting too sweet and you might get sick of it easily unless you’re a sweet potato maniac. The seventh drink, the lyote, is another one of my favorite drinks at Hollys. With three flavors (plain, blueberry, green apple), the lyote is a mixture of low-fat milk and frozen yogurt freshly crushed with ice. Basically, it’s a yogurt drink – the perfect healthy drink to have on a hot summer day. The hollyccino is the eighth drink, a sweet coffee slushy, also with three flavors(hollyccino, green tea, black tea). The ninth most popular drink is the smoothie, with various flavors including strawberry, mango, peach, banana, and lemonade. And last but not least, the americano – the only drink that would probably keep me awake on an early Sunday morning.

These days, I am in love with the brunch menu that Hollys Coffee offers. With five different types of combinations to choose from, it’s the quickest and lightest way to enjoy your morning, along with a discounted price. I like to order americano and very berry gelato waffle because there’s a balance between the hot and cold, bitter and sweet. I’ddefinitely like to try the ciabatta chicken sandwich and honey baguette bowl next time, though – they all sound great with coffee!
