I noticed on every show, when someone gets angry they pour their drink on the person they are angry with. On Tool Academy, one girl threw her drink on the other girl because they were arguing. The girl didn’t do anything after being drenched with soda. On Real Chance at Love, on the very first episode the girls were arguing and drinks were thrown. This girl ended up fighting even though she was the one who threw the drink. Then last night on both Tough Love and For the Love of Ray J, the girls were throwing drinks. I guess its the first thing to do when your angry. Its easier to throw your drink than hit someone and risk being cut. On Ray J, the girls ganged up on the one girl and threw their drinks. Ray sympathized with her and threatened to kick someone off because he wasn’t tolerating violence. Paradeez (because of the size of her chest) was sent home because of no connection.

A while back I wrote “I remember when fame and celebrity came from a talent or a contribution to society. Yeah, well not so much anymore. Now we celebrate and promote the talent-less that pretends to be the talented.” So, I decided to take to video with some of my tips to becoming famous. Here’s the eight tips so you can become “famous” too.

In contemplating the name of this piece I actually toyed [excuse the pun] with calling it ‘the advent of the toy boy’ or is ‘age really nothing but a number? Before I get ahead of myself let me explain my oftentimes very random thought process.

Right so if you’re like me you watched the stunning Mariah Carey on Sunday’s X Factor. If you’re also like me, you took one look at that shiny diamante microphone stand and wondered how in the world did Nick Cannon landed Mariah?

Mariah Carey, Demi Moore, Whitney Houston, Madonna…what do they all have in common? Yes i know they are all celebrities wise guy…apart from that! They’ve made it fashionable to date the younger man. Allow me to present the facts:

Mariah 39 and Nick Cannon 28

Whitney 46 and Ray J 28 [personally I didn’t think he was that old]

Demi 47 and Ashton 31

Madonna 51 and Jesus 22 [can we pause take a moment at the irony?]

With an 11 year age gap Mariah and Nick are the closest in age. Don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking anybody, you take love where you can find it and all that jazz. Plus with what they are feeding these youngsters I don’t blame anybody for falling or almost falling into the trap.

Yes yes there is a story. Ok so last year I’d been scoping this guy in church…nice looking brother…he just comes to church and goes quietly.  So one day we get to talking he invited me for coffee, we’re chatting getting along just fine until I make the mistake and ask him his age. I don’t usually do that but he kept referring to my friend’s younger brother. Now this is another story…this younger brother yea…I thought was my friend’s older brother and he’s really nice looking. He is the kind of nice looking that has all your friends oohing and aahing. Therefore imagine my shock and dismay when my friend tells me the boy just turned 20! My God lives! Somebody could have been going to jail!

So fast forward to my conversation with my new friend; when he kept asking me about my friend’s younger brother, my senses were alert…’’yes why u asking me about him…what have u heard?’’ lol. He replies ‘’Oh we are good friends’’. It was therefore only logical that I ask him his age. Would you like to take a wild guess? Yes? No? If you said 20 then you would have won the GlamTings sweepstakes. I refused to accept his answer so I made him sing ‘all liars shall go to hell fire’, made him pinky swear…alas he wasn’t lying or joking.

How saddening….yes yes i know age is nothing but a number but please its common knowledge that girls mature faster than guys….

That brings me to my point with these celebrities and their toy boys or if you prefer ‘younger men’.  As these women have already reached ‘maturity’ what would their conversations be about? Or is there no talking involved? Plus do they not feel slightly awkward that they could have given birth to their significant others? Furthermore let us consider if the shoe was on the other foot, i.e. an older man marries/dates a girl half his age. Would the girl not be labeled ‘a gold digger’ or ‘a girl with daddy issues’?

While I’m sure that there are advantages to dating someone younger is there not something a bit creepy about Madonna’s almost 30 year age gap? He’s barely come of age…how would the ‘toasting’ have gone down?

Jesus: ‘Oh mehn Madonna I’ve been a fan of yours for ages, my mum has all your records…’like a virgin’ was uhm totally rad’

Madonna: ‘Err thanks?’

Oh to be a fly on the wall of that relationship….on second thought ….maybe not

You know what I dunno…I might think it freaky you might think it the coolest idea since cheesecake…

Whitney Houston and Ray J’s “friendship” has been suspect for over a year now, with the two always creepin’ ’round town together! They were snapped heading to dinner at Crustacean restaurant in Beverly Hills Sunday night, right after the AMAs. Hmmmm.

Another suspect “friendship”, is that of Adrienne Bailon and Fabolous. Although both parties deny that they’re dating, you can’t help but wonder. They we’re seen getting all close at Loso’s bday party the other night…

Ok so I missed this episode last week. But I caught it tonight before the new episode. One girl won a date with Ray J but when they got back home she started acting crazy. She wanted him to stay in HIS room with her and not chill with the other girls…not happening. She told him she can be violent if she doesn’t get her way. She had an accent like she was from some island, maybe Jamaica. The other girl that was in the bottom was a girl that had sex with one of his friends. The guy recognized her and she denied it. Ray J gave her numerous chances to come clean and it took her the last time to really admit it. In the end the crazy one went home. She needed too. She was demanding way too much from just a short time of meeting him. When it came down to it, the other girl was more prettier and she can be dealt with later. I guess “smashing the homie” could be looked past, but not a violent past.

Hip Hop Critic welcomes the New Boyz, Legacy and BenJ, and their latest video Tie Me down featuring Ray J.  In many ways, they remind us of the days of the 90’s hip-hop boy group, Kriss Kross .  With a movie scheduled for release in August titled, “818″ these boys are destined for success.  Their new album, “Skinny Jeans and Mic” was released on  August 18, 2009.

NEW KELIS!!! “Acapella” – Kelis is always opening herself up, musiclaly, to all things. She tries new beats, new chords, new visuals … it’s like a surprise party everytime another single of hers drops.

Keri Hilson – “I Like” – Besides the fact that Keri Hilson is absolutely GORGEOUS, she can sing, too. This song is a different sound for her in that it’s definitely more dance/pop compared to what we’ve been hearing from her, but you know what?  It works.

Toni Braxton feat. Trey Songz – “So Yesterday” – I’m on the fence about this one still … maybe it’s one of those that needs to grow on me. I dunno, but I’m posting it anyway because it’s new music by Miss Braxton.

Rihanna feat. Justin Timberlake – “Hole In My Head” – Good track. On a side note: JT is sounding more and more like Timbaland everytime he shows voice these days. Rihanna is totally reminiscent of Nelly Furtado in this one, too. That’s all I wanted to point out. I’m not NOT gonna stop dancing to this one, though.

50 Cent feat. Ne-Yo – “Baby By Me” – oooooooooh Fitty! You so crayzaaaaay!

Dondria – “You’re The One” – If Rihanna’s vocal chords made love to Keri Hilson’s, Dondria’s is what they would sound like.

Janet Jackson – “Make Me” – Janet’s using what her brother taught her and’s totally bringin’ it again.  The thing I love about this song is the old school kick!

Rihanna feat. Youg Jeezy – “Hard” – I like this song. I think it’s good and I think Rihanna’s coming out of her “shell” (the emo one) nicely. Some would say slutty, I say … ballsey. She’s trying to make up for her past-self these days … I’m still on the fence about how I feel about her … musically, though, I think she’s well on her new way.

Lloyd feat. J. Holiday and Nikki Minaj – “Take It Off” – Pretty much everything Lloyd has done, I’ve sincerely liked. My favs? “Southside” with Ashanti and “I Want You” (True Remix) feat. Nas and Andre 3000 … but here’s his newest:

Shakira feat. Lil Wayne – “Give It Up To Me” – I’m not a Weezy fan by any means what-so-ever … I AM, however, a big Shakira fan. In a nutshell, this song is HOT.

Robin Thicke – “Sex Therapy” – Ok, Robin Thicke is goooooooood, man. When he first showed face on the music scene and his identity became known, I almost shit my pants. I mean, Alan Thicke’s son? REALLY?! But, the dude can sing and he’s got soul … and it’s good.

Beyonce feat. Lady Gaga – “Videophone” – I. Love. This. Song.

J-Lo “Louboutins” – I’ll tell you why I’m TOTALLY feelin’ this song. The Dream produced it. It’s smooth and not your usual-choppy-J-Lo-flatness that we’re used to with J-Lo. I love J-Lo, don’t get me wrong, but let’s all be honest and face the music: she ain’t a musical artist. BUT, with the right producer, anyone can be an artist. This is like the best and worst thing ever.
