The 6th Free Online Tools e-Course was on RSS, otherwise known as Really Simple Syndication.

RSS aggregator software retrieves specified content from blogs, podcasts etc. The aggregator also uses RSS feed on websites to keep track of new information that is posted.

The main purpose of an RSS is to manage the organisation and collection of information from the Internet. It is clear that RSS software is a time management tool for businesses as one does not have to keep visiting sites for updates. 

There is an extensive range of free RSS software to download. The latest and most advanced versions include Netvibes, iGoogle and PageFlakes.

An RSS is particularly useful for those who find the amount of information found on the Internet to be overwhelming. You Tube has an RSS in Plain English video that explains RSS software simply.

     Posiblemente muchos de ustedes hayan escuchado el término, RSS… tal vez hayan leído sobre el mismo. Mas sin embargo, vuelvo a mencionar el término aqui en mi espacio, para beneficio de todos los que nos perdemos un poquito cuando se utiliza esta terminología.  Aquí una nota sobre el particular, publicada por Universia.
