..I watched bored around, i noticed a white arm grabbing my friends shoulder, my friend didn’t even turn around. I blinked and the arm was gone, still i followed my memory and looked at the direction where it had come from. A small shining white body was twitching in the corner besides the door. My pulse was rising and i was more scared than i ever had. But then the first light for the encore flashed and the creature was gone. I looked at my friend, she was cheering at the encore already..

I’m not a religious or a very scared person, just a normal girl.
But i do believe in ghosts, not that anything big supernatural has happened to me.

I think mostly i wanna believe, cos knowing of stuff like that would make me special too?

The only really weird thing that has happened to me is the story i started this entry with, but I’m still confused if my eyes just lied or was that ‘real’?

Mabye I should ask around people what they think of ghosts?

Oh i just remembered another thing that happened me..
i think i will end this entry with it

...It was midday and everyone was at work. I was walking alone to work, i had been having a awful headache.
As i stopped to light a tobacco i saw in my eye corner a black long shadow fast catching up with me. I breathed in the smoke and started walking fast again and as i turned to the right i looked back, but nobody was there. But this time i saw a black person slowly walking a hundred meters in front of me…

Now i was catching up with it?

Birthdays can be a lot of fun. Presents, parties, people filling your Facebook page with happy messa

Birthdays can be a lot of fun. Presents, parties, people filling your Facebook page with happy messages. Sam, however, is not enjoying his 21st birthday. You wouldn’t either if you found out your parents sold your soul to the Devil. Now it’s time to pay up. Sam will have to juggle his day job working at a hardware store with his new job as the Devil’s bounty hunter, capturing super-powered souls escaped from hell. Life isn’t easy on Reaper.

Sam has never really known what to do with his life. He has no direction and no drive. He spends his days working at The Work Bench hardware store with his two mates Sock and Ben. He’s keen on co-worker, Andi but hasn’t worked up the courage to ask her out. When the Devil (played by Ray Wise, who is brilliant as the charming and conniving Prince of Hell) assigns Sam to tracking down the dangerous souls who have escaped from hell, it could be just the thing to get Sam to step up and take responsibility for his life. On the other hand, having a boss who is literally the personification of evil isn’t all fun and games. With each assignment, Sam is given a vessel to capture the soul in. It could be anything from a remote control car to a dove in a cage to a toaster. It’s up to Sam, helped by his friends, to work out how to use the vessel. It doesn’t help when the escaped soul has super-powers and will do anything to stay away from hell.

There’s a lot of humour in Reaper, whether it be from the banter and camaraderie between the three best friends, the evil quips from the Devil, or the situation Sam is in each week trying to work out how to capture an acid-spurting super-model with bubble mix, for example. Kevin Smith directed the first episode, which should give you an indication of what you’re in for.

The Devil has been a popular character in fiction for years. There’s something about the suave, sophisticated trickster who can condemn you to eternal torment that is really appealing. He’s a tragic figure, having once been an angel but is now eternally punished for his rebellion. Sometimes he is portrayed as having equal power with God, in a constant battle to see who will be victorious. That is not the Devil of Reaper. The Devil here is a man who is doing his job. He recognises that God is the boss. The Devil here represents temptation and sin. The Devil of Reaper is the kind of Devil we should be wary of. He’s sexy and convincing and sincere. But if you trust him, you’ll pay. If you put your faith in him and in his promises, you’ll be spending the rest of forever in hell.

The picture of the Devil that Reaper paints is fantastic. But there’s a problem here with the buying and selling of souls. Sam has his soul sold to the Devil. Other people throughout the series sell their soul to the Devil in exchange for wealth and power. But here’s the thing: you can’t sell your soul. It’s not because you can’t touch it. It’s not because you don’t have the proper paperwork. It’s because you don’t own your own soul. It either belongs to this world and therefore already belongs to Satan, or it has been purchased by God through the blood of his son Jesus. “With your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” (Revelation 5:9)

If the Devil needs to purchase souls, this says something fundamental about how we see ourselves. We see humanity as being basically good. That if we do our best and don’t do anything that is incredibly evil, then we will go to heaven. This ignores the affect of sin. This ignores the fact that because of sin we are all going to hell. It’s only because of the blood of Jesus that any of us can go to heaven. And if you have accepted the sacrifice of Jesus, then he has purchased you for God. You cannot sell your soul. So ultimately, the idea of selling your soul to the Devil is futile. Unless he wants to have a bit of fun at your expense. I could just see Ray Wise’s Devil doing that.

Reaper is a fun show. It asks all kinds of questions about the Devil, hell, souls, demons, and more that will be of interest to Christians. It premieres on 7TWO tonight at 8.30pm.

Afghanistan is such a two-bit banana republic that they can’t even hold a decent corrupt election, since the only viable competitor to the tacit dictator says, in essence, “You can’t steal my votes again and declare yourself president…I QUIT”. So Karzai, the guy left, is now who we have to deal with. One of Obama’s criteria for deciding on troop levels in Afghanistan was the presence of a stable government. If this is anyone’s idea of stable, then the term is more flexible than I’d imagined. Next door, in Pakistan, the suicide bomber union seems to have lost a couple more stewards, with several dozen more vaporized bodies within spitting distance of Pakistani army headquarters and another twenty or so in a distant province. Not to worry. We’ve got the countryside covered with our remote sci-fi arsenal.

Be very afraid.

The above behemoth is aptly named a “Reaper”, presumably after the grim one of the same name, and is the mutant giant offspring of the more commonly known “Predator”. Please note the six hard-point attachments on the undercarriage, in this case carrying four “Hellfire” missiles (don’t you just love the charming military jargon?), two “Sidewinder” air-to-air missiles, and two “GBU-12 PavewayII” laser guided bombs. The various sensors on the nose can see through clouds, walls, and probably Romulan force fields. With one push of a button at Creech Air Force Base in Indian Springs, Nevada, the pilot and his weapons officer can dispatch a Taliban Mullah perched on the throne in the smallest room in his hut 1.2 seconds later. While we are all thrilled with the high-tech wizardry of remote controlled death, apparently the Pakistanis are not nearly so amused. They repeatedly voiced their displeasure at Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her recent visit. It seems that what we refer to as “collateral damage” they regard as dead civilians. Another minor semantic disagreement.

The Afghans don’t want us there anymore and the Pakistanis never wanted us interfering in their sovereign nation. We’re spending tens of millions of dollars every day that could just as easily be used to pare that 1900 page health care reform bill down to one page…the one that establishes medicare-like national health insurance for all Americans. How can anyone in good conscience support the cost of these insane wars and incursions and somehow maintain that we can’t afford to take care of our own citizen’s health? It is, in fact, unconscionable.

BTW originally In this post I was going to use the EA concert a basis for commenting on what Electronic Artists have to do to keep the audience engaged, and the “Ethics” of charging Fans for personal meet and greets (I don’t have a problem with it BTW). But it turned into a Concert review. So sue me I love EA mmkaay?

I went to the Emilie Autumn concert on Saturday Oct 17th in Orlando and I must say it was a GREAT show. While I normally have a very dim view of Track Dates, (shows where a singer performs to a backing track or in the case of Britney et al. Lip synchs YUCK!) This show was an exception. Why? Well this was NOT your typical “sing the pop songs and bail”. Emilie is a one woman act, She writes, creates, and performs all her own work. From choosing/designing the sounds to rosin-ing up the bow of her Violins, Emilie is “The Real Deal”. Electronic music is difficult to do live while keeping the audience interested (as guy who stands behind a laptop and synths for gigs I really understand). So She has her backup “dancers” the ”Bloody Crumpets”, Naughty Veronica (a Kissing Bandit) , Aprella (Sniper), Captain Maggot (Pirate), and the Bloody Contessa (Cannibal), inhabiting the “Asylum” onstage with her. However to call them “Backup Dancers” is really a disservice to them as they are more than mere dancers. They are an integral part of the show which is more like a Broadway Musical, in the vein of Sweeny Todd, or a demented Vaudeville/burlesque show. From Captain’s Spinning Hoop act to Contessa’s Cirque du Soleil style aerialist shenanigans the show was more like a three-ring circus. In many ways it reminded me of a Butthole Surfers concert but with out the Porno movies. However there is A LOT of Girl kissing, Girl-piles, as well as poisoned Tea parties, Baked goods for the audience, simulated torture and fake blood but its not Grand Guignol like GWAR or Skinny Puppy. It’s dare I say it? Tastefully done.

As for performance of the music, yes she sings (and screeches and growls and coos) to a backing track for many of the songs, (“Dead is the New Alive” woud be the bees knees with a full band) but Emilie does have a Yamaha controller keyboard onstage she uses for her harpsichord parts thats she blazes on (The Tempo of song “Shallot” live is twice as fast as the album and you can tell she is really playing). But Emilie really shines when she whips out her fiddle and starts shredding on “Liar”, “Unlaced”, “Face the Wall” and her amazing cover of “Bohemian Rhapsody” (OMG) All the Crumpets are doing all sorts of things on stage involving stilts, ribbons, hoops, knives, meat cleavers and shotguns. Look you just have to see it OK?

Now the crowd was interesting too, it was an all ages show with lots of young EA fans (man I felt old and out-of-place).While in line I spoke with a mom in line with her daughter and we laughed at how we were when we were “that age” all dressed up in our finest regalia ready to go see our favorite artists (Cure, Depeche Mode, Skinny Puppy, Cocteau Twins etc). Some of the parental units looked like they walked straight out of Central Casting for “Plump Midwestern Soccer Moms with Sensible Shoes”. They were standing next to their Raven or Scarlet-haired daughters in full Goth-loli kit and just hanging out (While the kids did their best to pretend they were not there). Then there were a few old guys like me, not sure if they were there for Emilie or to glom onto young hipsters but whatevah. I’m sure I looked like a Chester. I know, I know.. I have the leering Molester look in my Photo-op with Emilie. But in my defence I had already downed 4 Captain Morgan and Cokes so getting into the spirit was easy (Fun not Molester mmkaay?). TBH I don’t know what those parents thought of the show or the music but I will tell you this: When Emilie started singing “Bohemian Rhapsody” I looked around and everybody and I mean EVERYBODY, from the Bar-Backs to the “Plump Midwestern Moms in Sensible Shoes” were singing along every word, bellowing out “BISMILLAH” with such gusto, it was as if we were all in some kind of Rock and Roll seance attempting to channel the spirit of Freddie Mercury himself. All the while Emilie was singing and prancing onstage and Tearing up the Brian May guitar solos on her Violin like a Corsetted, Mad Woman on Speed. There really was only one word to describe it.

EPIC

Post Show:

I had paid for a VIP meet and greet @ end of show With Emilie who met us with all the graciousness and theatrical aplomb of a “Great Lady of the Theatre”, she really does know how to give good fanservice (I just learned that term). I couldn’t help but be amused that here I was in Orlando waiting to see the “Princess” much like my daughters wait at Disney world when we take them. But it was really neat, the reading about leeches and the acoustic set and sing along, (and you really MUST sing along with her you wouldn’t want to break her heart). The Photo and Autograph signing part was well organized & Emilie was awesome and really knows how to relate to her “muffins” (fans) young or old. Hey look, she gave me kiss and called me a handsome man, now I’m all grown up and I know its just fanservice but man was my heart racing, I really could have walked on clouds. I felt real lucky to have scored the VIP tix. But it got even better! As a cool bonus I got to have a nice chat with Inkydust (Emilie Autumn’s engineer), earlier at the sound booth. Now how cool is that? I mean meeting and chatting with the guy that helped put together one your favorite Albums! For a Techie thats a definite highlight. (Emilie and Inky=OMGWTFBBQWINSAUCE!) I learned that Inky had switched to Reaper from CuBase for the new material. I was kind of surprised since I know Emilie is huge Mac fan with CuBase and changing up your DAW (Digital Audio Worksation) is a big deal. We also discussed the “Holy wars” (Mac vs PC vs Apple) and how silly it can get and other Music geek stuff. When Inky mentioned that the Switched over to Reaper for the new material my Drunken Ears perked up! “New Material?” as in New Album?? did he just let me in on something? I did not press him though, he might have talking about the post Opheliac EP’s so don’t get your hopes up on my say so.

Later after the show and meet & greet, while waiting for my friends to show up @ another club I see Inky walking down the street past me and we have another quick chat, I offer to buy him a beer and he lets me know he’s going to eat across the street after he fetches a mate and to meet him there. Schweeet! Well it would have been, I guess I’ll have to find out another time. Unfortunately I could not get a hold of my friends to tell them I would meet them later (I was staying with them at their house and they were my ride home) who showed up right about the same time as I needed to be in the restaurant and I wasn’t about to ditch them abruptly because thats just rude. Of course they would have understood (they know me) but also I didn’t want to appear like some Crazed Stalker Fan so I missed my chance. Hey Inky I owe you drink next time your in SoFla!

Tuesday: Sci Fi Exploration After years of attempting to debut a successful science fiction pilot, t

Tuesday: Sci Fi Exploration

After years of attempting to debut a successful science fiction pilot, the Big 5 networks seem to have accepted defeat at the hands of cable television. Viewers proved they are not interested in the sci fi fare offered by broadcast networks – “Reaper,” “Journeyman,” “Bionic Woman,” “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” and “Day Break” are among the sci fi shows that failed to make more than two seasons in the past three years. Instead, sci fi diehards turn to SyFy and BBC America to get their fix.

What does this mean for Doc Sonya’s recommendations to you? Since we’re exploring strictly broadcast shows, this means there are only a handful of sci fi shows even on the air, and of those, only one gets my recommendation.

Time to break up with…

“Heroes”
“Heroes” is a classic example of a show that debuted a phenomenal first season, became too hyped, and suddenly failed to live up to its expectations. While it is somewhat expected for shows to experience a sophomore slump, “Heroes” never climbed out of the pitiful ditch it dug itself into. Now in season four, “Heroes” is exploring Claire’s sexuality (yawn), killing off/bringing back to life Nathan and Hiro (like they’re really going to kill off series regulars), and failing to capitalize on its breakout star, Zachary Quinto.

Bottom Line: Grab season one on DVD; skip the rest.

Flings: Don’t require a whole lot of commitment from you. If it’s on, watch it. If you get distracted by something shiny, you probably won’t miss too much.

“Flash Forward”

Flash Forward is ABC’s follow-up to megahit “Lost.” While it lacks the flair, intrigue, and mythology of Lost, “Flash Forward” has a fascinating premise – the issue is whether the execution is good so far.
The concept is that for two minutes and 17 seconds, everyone in the entire world blacked out and caught a glimpse of their lives six months in the future. Some premonitions were good, others bad, some intriguing, and some nonexistent. This show reminds me of CBS fan-favorite “Jericho” (2006-2008), which chronicled an isolated town dealing with a nuclear terrorist attack in America.

Bottom line: “FlashForward” would make for a fun disaster/action movie, but as a TV serial, it needs to pick up the pace and make the characters into people we actually care about, or it’ll meet “Jericho”’s demise.

Casual dating: These shows are not the crème de la crème of the genre, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have the potential. These are campy and/or guilty pleasures, just short of appointment TV but good enough that you’ll stick around to see the end of the episode. Feel free to indulge if you like what you see.

“The Vampire Diaries”
This show is the CW’s response to the vampire trend, and for once, it seems like the CW actually made a decent creative decision. Based on the ’90s novels of the same name,”The Vampire Diaries” follows Elena, a teenager whose parents recently died in a car crash, as she navigates high school – with a vampire (no one knows, of course). Oh, and the vamp’s devious older brother spooks the town too.I like Ian Somerhalder (Boone from “Lost”) as older brother Damon. The rest of the characters, however, are written poorly and stereotypically; I wouldn’t be surprised if the character’s name on the script reads Best Friend or Main Character or Good Vampire. We don’t get a sense of a three-dimensional person on the show. We just see how an undeveloped personality reacts to events.

Bottom Line: I won’t deny it’s a good choice for those into the vampire thing. However, for a similar premise but better characters/plots/actors, check out the WB’s “Roswell” on DVD. You won’t regret it

“Fringe”
“Fringe” was a huge critical accolade when it debuted last fall, but the furor seems to have died down a bit since then. The show is about a team that investigates (you guessed it) the paranormal. “Fringe” does well with the mythology, meaning the overarching storyline is strong, sensational, and sometimes surprising. However, given that “Fringe” comes from “Alias” and “Lost” creator J.J. Abrams, I don’t think it is living up to its potential.Bottom Line: It’s a slightly more difficult show to get into than, say, “The Vampire Diaries.” It’s also got a more serious overtone. Not bad for a show in its sophomore season, but it certainly has yet to find what it is creatively capable of.

Long-term dating: Arguably the best show currently on television…

“Supernatural”
“Supernatural” debuted on The WB in 2005, the WB’s final year as a network. It stars my future husband Jensen Ackles Dean and Jared Padalecki as Sam, brothers who hunt things that go bump in the night. In a nutshell, Dean and Sam lost their mother to an evil demon when they were kids, causing their father to delve into the world of the paranormal and raise his sons as hunters. What started out as a procedural premise quickly turned into the most campy, addictive show on TV. While the standalone episodes are fun, witty and often scary, “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke’s true mastery is the show’s mythology. There is more to Dean and Sam than the show ever let on during the first season, and now that “Supernatural” is in its fifth (and potentially final) season, viewers can see the threads that were sewn nearly four years ago. The show is unafraid to throw certain stereotypes on their heads. For instance, this season the mythology is stopping God’s angels (they’re the antagonists) from unleashing the Apocalypse – oh, and while Sam and Dean are at it, they need to locate God and stop Lucifer from rising.

Whatever the season’s mythology, “Supernatural”’s strength is undoubtedly the bond between Sam and Dean, which is unlike any portrayal I’ve ever seen on TV. One second, the brothers are pulling a prank on each another, and the next, they’re making deals with demons to save each other’s lives.

Bottom line: Still not convinced? TV Guide magazine critic Matt Roush recently wrote, “My decision to get busy and catch up on (the previous seasons of) Supernatural was the best call I made all year.”

I have said this before, but I still find it kind of remarkable: serving my ancestors, the lwa, and

I have said this before, but I still find it kind of remarkable: serving my ancestors, the lwa, and orisha has made me less afraid of the dark than I used to be.

A week ago, I got a picture of a hooded figure with glowing eyes at a flower and gift shop, where they were having a sale. I had fallen in love with it at first sight. I thought it was the coolest, most appealing not-so-grim reaper I had ever seen. I love his glowing eyes, they add a certain mystery and mysticism to the altar.

Later, I did a New Orleans Vodou Tarot card reading, and it said my ancestors wanted me to get this picture for them. So I did. I placed him on their altar, and he really fits right in. I played Beethoven’s symphonies to welcome him. I also re-decorated the altar, which the Gede lwa also share. It now looks spiffy.

I used to be really afraid of the Grim Reaper and the dark, but I still cannot help feeling that getting this picture, and serving the lwa, orisha, and ancestors, is helping me turn these fears into something positive. Do other people who serve their ancestors and/or the Gede also have this experience? Whether they do or not, I would love to hear their experiences.

Really looking forward to Halloween and Fete Gede.

‘Westerners attending camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan despite successful U.S. strikes,’ Craig Whitlock reports as Jane Mayer reports the Obama Administration has authorized an amount of such strikes equal to the last three years of the Bush Administration. ‘Despite’?

Craig Whitlock at The Washington Post reports:

U.S. and European counterterrorism officials say a rising number of Western recruits–including Americans–are traveling to Afghanistan and Pakistan to attend paramilitary training camps. The flow of recruits has continued unabated, officials said, in spite of an intensified campaign over the past year by the CIA to eliminate al-Qaeda and Taliban commanders in drone missile attacks.

“Despite”? “In spite of…”? You misspelled “because of”, Mr. Whitlock.

Citing Jane Mayer at The New Yorker, Kelley B. Vlahos at AntiWar.com wrote today that the Obama Administration has taken the Bush Administration’s Predator drone program and “jacked it up with steroids” as “the number of Obama-authorized strikes in Pakistan equals the sum launched by the Bush Administration—in the last three years of his tenure”.

Ms. Mayer reports two government-run drone programs: one by the military and the other by the C.I.A. “The Predator program, as it happens, also uses private contractors for a variety of tasks, including ‘flying’ the drones,” the abstract adds:

“The program is classified as covert, and the C.I.A. declines to provide any information to the public about where it operates, how it selects targets, who is in charge, or how many people have been killed. Nevertheless, reports of fatal air strikes in Pakistan emerge every few days.”

“[T]he number of drone strikes has gone up dramatically since Obama became President.”

“General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, the defense contractor that manufactures the Predator and its more heavily armed sibling, the Reaper, can barely keep up with the government’s demand.”

“With public disenchantment mounting over the U.S. troop deployment in Afghanistan, many in Washington support an even greater reliance on Predator strikes. And because of the program’s secrecy, there is no visible system of accountability in place.”

“[I]t creates the perception that war can be ‘costless’. Cut off from the realities of the bombings in Pakistan, Americans have been insulated from the human toll, as well as the political and moral consequences.”

“Before September 11th, the C.I.A. refused to deploy the Predator for anything other than surveillance. Eight years later, there is no longer any doubt that targeted killing has become official U.S. policy.”

“The Predator program is described by many in the intelligence world as America’s single most effective weapon against Al Qaeda….[But], only six of the forty-one C.I.A. drone strikes conducted by the Obama Administration in Pakistan have targeted Al Qaeda.”

Terrorist recruiting is rising among Westerners “despite successful U.S. strikes”? Mr. Whitlock’s report continues:

Since January, at least 30 recruits from Germany have traveled to Pakistan for training, according to German security sources. About 10 people — not necessarily the same individuals — have returned to Germany this year, fueling concerns that fresh plots are in the works against European targets.

“We think this is sufficient to show how serious the threat is,” said a senior German counterterrorism official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

There are about 3,800 German troops in the country, the third-largest NATO contingent after those of the United States and Britain. German officials say Taliban and al-Qaeda leaders are trying to exploit domestic opposition in Germany to the war; surveys show that a majority of German voters favor a withdrawal of their soldiers….

In a recent report, the Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service said there were a “growing number of indications” that more Europeans were attending camps in the border region between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The Obama administration has said that al-Qaeda’s command structure and operations wing have become weaker in the past year because many of its leaders have been killed in drone missile attacks. But in its report, the Dutch intelligence agency offered a different assessment, saying that al-Qaeda’s ability to carry out attacks has generally improved in recent years largely because it has successfully bolstered its alliances with other terrorist groups.

“With the jihadist agenda of those allies becoming more international, at least at the propaganda level, the threat to the West and its interests has intensified,” the Dutch report found.

David Rohde, The New York Times (NYT) reporter recently released after seven months and ten days in Taliban captivity, observed while being held prisoner by the extremists:

My captors harbored many delusions about Westerners. But I also saw how some of the consequences of Washington’s antiterrorism policies had galvanized the Taliban. Commanders fixated on the deaths of Afghan, Iraqi and Palestinian civilians in military airstrikes, as well as the American detention of Muslim prisoners who had been held for years without being charged. America, Europe and Israel preached democracy, human rights and impartial justice to the Muslim world, they said, but failed to follow those principles themselves.

In the second part of Mr. Rohde’s series, “Held by the Taliban”, today, he adds:

For the next several nights, a stream of Haqqani commanders overflowing with hatred for the United States and Israel visited us, unleashing blistering critiques that would continue throughout our captivity.

Some of their comments were factual. They said large numbers of civilians had been killed in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Palestinian territories in aerial bombings. Muslim prisoners had been physically abused and sexually humiliated in Iraq. Scores of men had been detained in Cuba and Afghanistan for up to seven years without charges.

To Americans, these episodes were aberrations. To my captors, they were proof that the United States was a hypocritical and duplicitous power that flouted international law.

Amir Mir reported at The News in Pakistan that nearly 50 civilians for every militant were killed by 60 U.S. drones between January 2006 and mid-April 2009—14 of those airstikes in the first 99 days of 2009. “American officials vehemently dispute these figures, and it is likely that more militants and fewer civilians have been killed than is reported by the press in Pakistan,” David Kilcullen and Andrew Exum wrote at the NYT in May. “Nevertheless, every one of these dead noncombatants represents an alienated family, a new desire for revenge, and more recruits for a militant movement that has grown exponentially even as drone strikes have increased.”

More airstrikes, torture, war, kidnapping by the West, ignorance of international law=More anger.

More anger=More effective propaganda for terror groups.

More effective propaganda for terror groups=Higher recruiting for terrorists.

Higher recruiting for terrorists=Higher U.S. demand for airstrike supplies.

Rinse and repeat.

The war profiteers are just preserving demand for their ’services’ through the puppet ‘world leaders’ they finance to fuel self-fulfilling prophesies. Who’s exploiting who?

I know what you’re thinking… when the hell is Legend of the Seeker coming back? Isn

I know what you’re thinking… when the hell is Legend of the Seeker coming back? Isn’t it fall? Shouldn’t we be watching Richard and Kahlan getting all tense around each other as they try to rid the world of evil?

Well! You’re answer is November 7th.

At least that’s the date the first episode of Season 2 is set to air, but if you just can’t wait 3 more friggin weeks, because it surly is a long time, The Complete First Season is available on DVD.

If you don’t want to buy it from Amazon.com, I’m sure you can pick it up at your local Target or Best Buy. And THEN, you can watch it ever so slowly as we count down the days to Season 2…

The much anticipated, possibly hit show will NOT be returning as previously planned. Even after filming 6 whole episodes, NBC decided to pull the show.

Word on the street is that even though the rating were “iffy” last season, NBC had decided to take a chance on the show, but after viewing said 6 episodes they decided it was just TOO “raw and gritty” for us we folk.

Personally, I think it has more to do with the fact NBC allowed Jay “I’m too annoying to retire” Leno fill the cop drama’s time slot.

Did you ever wonder what it looked like to sell your soul to the devil? Just go watch the Leno show – it’s like a train wreck. And then when you’re done, go watch Conan on Late Night so you can see what comedy really looks like.

Grant Wilson announced on Twitter yesterday that he and his co-star Jason Hawes, will not be doing the Live Halloween special this year.

Yes, you will see your two favorite “what the frag” Ghost Hunters, but their segments will be pre-taped. This year they will be spending the holiday with their families.

I say go you! Halloween with kids is SO MUCH FUN! Yes, we will miss you, but it’s not like you’re leaving us forever now is it?

I’ve never seen this show, nor do I want to – mostly this is just me ripping on the CW.

Seems “The Beautiful Life” (or TBL, cuz things are better when we abbreviate) will not be making it. The shows been on for only one hot second and it seems that the CW is pulling it.

Some say it’s due to Mischa Barton – you know – because personal chaos hurts shows… I think it’s probably because the CW has the management skill of a 14 year old at McD.

Yes, I’m still bitter about the canceling of the late, great show – Reaper.

But hey! The now have every teenage soap know to man – and all of them complete crap. Hm… wonder how those 30 year old vampires on Vamp Diaries are doing? Polanski?

I’d say surprise, but really?

I think the only member of the female cast that can act is Stephanie Jacobsen. I mean, Ashley Simpson? Katie Cassidy? <- Let’s just say Harper’s Island wasn’t gonna get you an Emmy and this will probably get you a razzie!

But then again, I didn’t even watch the original version of this show, so why would I watch a mediocre remake? (Plus Jacoben was on one of the best shows ever – Terminator:TSCC, which was canceled, but hey they left us with Dollhouse!)

Even though pretty much every actor that I came from a show I loves is now on this show (Summer Glau – Firefly, Terminator: TSCC, Jamie Bamber – BSG, L&O:UK) the ratings STILL STINK!

Yes. I still think that FOX was scared seeing that the late great Firefly is STILL a hit, and since the cancelled that show, they had better hold on to whatever Joss Whedon was handing them… to bad this time it really not good at all. It’s actually SO BAD that FOX isn’t even airing it during November sweeps. Yup. Ouch.

As for ABC, it seems that they are already planning on canceling Hank, The Forgotten, Castle and Eastwick.

Hank was Kelsey Grammer’s new show. I know nothing about this show, I didn’t even know it existed until I saw it on the “Cancelled” list for ABC. That probably isn’t a good sign for them… and when I searched it – nada…

The Forgotten was Christian Slater’s attempt at a new show. Evidently he’s afraid he’ll be “forgotten” sadly, he won’t, for he will be remember as that guy that kept doing really crappy shows later in his life.

Castle… this just make me sad – I love Nathan Fillion. Last year they kept going back and forth between canceling and keeping this show, so maybe they’ll change their mind.

Eastwick – cuz it’s not 1987 and your not Cher, Susan Sarandon or Michelle Pfeiffer. It just hit me, my husband must have LOVE this moving as a kid. His two crushes… Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer… ANYWAY – why are we trying to make television shows out of movies that aired over 20 years ago? What the hell – there have to be at least 50,000 writers in L.A. proper – just look harder.

For CBS their two that will most likely be out of here by May are Three Rivers and Cold Case.

Three Rivers – I don’t know what this show is about. Someone wanting to save someone because if a television show doesn’t have high moral content then it might just be fun?

Cold Case – I’ll believe it when I see it. They’ve been saying for years this show would be cancelled, but it just never went away… maybe now it will. Maybe we’re entering a new era that is about more things than cops… oh wait, we are – welcome back medical drama…

I actually think the age of the sitcom is on its way back in – just look at NBC’s Thursday lineup with 30 Rock, The Office, Community and Parks and Rec – and then let’s at to it that the head of Law & Order, Trauma and Mercy are probably out.

Law & Order - how can you be surprised by this? It’s been on the air since I was in high school – and I haven’t been in high school for a long while now. Plus, this show just became redundant. How could it not be? Sorry L&O, I used to love you – but that was like circa 1999.

Trauma – My problem with this show is I hear the name and I think of Emergency, yes, that Randolph Mantooth drama from back in the 70’s. And then I saw the commercials – really? Are you serious? If you want to make something that over dramatic make a medical drama about a unit in the middle east – WAIT! Just remake M.A.S.H.

Why must everything be in slow motion? Michael Bay does TV.

Mercy – because we’ve grown tired about hearing how sad rich doctors are so now we get to hear about caring nurses… (Hawthorne?)

And for FOX!! ‘Til Death, Brothers and Dollhouse…

‘Til Death, I was surprised it made it this far, but hey – this isn’t my kinda show. But still, I’m a fan of Brad Garrett so I always wished them the best.

Brothers – I know nothing about this show so I can’t even make a snarky comment… but it looks as though it’s getting the boot.

And we already covered Dollhouse. (This week on Dollhouse, FOX regrets canceling Terminator: TSSC and keeping this steamy mess of…)

I’d tell you about the CW but mostly I don’t like them – yes – Reaper. The one good show they had.

Oh and I want to give a shout out to Modern Family! If you haven’t seen this one yet, you should totally check it out. It’s very funny.

Now – on to real life, whatever that is…
