Santa’s not the holly jolly soul we all thought he was. He’s actually a demon who lost a bet with an angel, but that bet is over now and Santa’s back to what he does best, madness and mayhem!

This was a great addition to my holiday viewing and a great way to combine my love of horror and Christmas. This is very much a black comedy and was giving me a solid 80’s vibe for some reason. I’m not sure what it was about this one but I really loved it. It was corny, cheesy, funny and full of holiday joy!

It seems that Santa is actually a demon who lost a bet with an angel. We learn that particular part of the story when there’s a stop motion flashback that brings up memories of classic Christmas specials like Rudolph. That was quite easily my favorite part of the film. There’s also a hilarious opening scene where Santa spreads his special kind of love with a very dysfunctional family. A family full of questionable popular stars like Chris Kattan and Fran Drescher. I’m giving James Caan the benefit of the doubt as he’s probably the one truly successful person pulling a cameo in the first scene.

Santa (Bill Goldberg, yeah the former wrestler) has never looked more cool. Dressed more like Viking than seasonal good guy, he tears through the small town on his sleigh pulled by his hell deer causing mayhem and destruction and even stooping as low as smashing a nativity display! I’m not really sure if he was on the hunt for something in particular but he winds up finding it in the angel that had made the original bet with him. This all builds to an over the top finish to the film involving a curling match, some gun-toting townsfolk and a bazooka.

Former tennis star Anna Kournikova and singer Enrique Iglesias are allegedly expecting their first baby. The couple have been together for years and I think they make a great match. Both are really hot, succesful and seems like good people as well. Congrats to them. Another couple having a baby are Erik Dane(Grey’s McSteamy) and his wife Rebecca Gayheart. Hope for the baby they did not smoke crack again in recent months.

I love a man who is so secure of his sexuality that he can follow a course in Queer cinema at New York University. Actor and uber-hottie James Franco(from the movie Milk) will do just that. He will watch the movies” You don’t know Dick”  and “Loads” this syllabus. I think the more a guy is at ease with gays the more secure he is with his own sexual preference. My brother for example is pretty macho and had no problem in the past going to gay bars with me. Insecure guys on the other hand often become gay bashers.

Janice Dickenson was a huge success on the British version of “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here” So much that she was asked to host the show this season. Lucky Brits, when Janice is on it always promises fireworks. She seems to make a career out of reality lately. She has her own model show, was on ANTM for years, was on “I’m a celebrity” in both the UK and the US. Last week I saw her on a glitter, glamour show for dutch TV, with her new young fireman boyfriend, and yesterday she was on the Dutch version of Top Model. The thing is, I never get fed up seeing her!! Love that woman!

Cher’s  former daughter/future son Chastity/Chaz has inked a 6-figure deal to write a book about her transition from female to male. The book, titled “Coming Clean will be out in the spring of 2011. Should be a good read.

In 1994, I was excited about My So-Called Life and Friends, but not much else on the TV schedule caught my eye. A friend of mine loved ABC’s Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, so I would go over there to hang out and watch it.

Being sci-fi buffs, we decided we should check out Earth 2, a new show that aired an hour before L&C on NBC. I have this tendency to at least try out all the new science-fiction shows, knowing that even if I like them, the odds of them surviving beyond one season are slim. I quickly gave up on M.A.N.T.I.S. over on Fox, but found myself more intrigued by Earth 2.

La revista People, captó una fotografía de Rebecca Gayheart y Mark Sloan, hace unas semanas, quienes estaban haciendo su primer aparición publica, junto con su bebe, en la pancita de Rebecca. This had me thinking about the many connections that you can find to the main teen dramas. I’d think it be fun to have like a weekly post naming one celebrity and challenging the readers to find how they connect to the shows, some actors would have multiple connections. For instance, let’s say Angelina Jolie…..

Angeline Jolie starred in Gia with Elizabeth Mitchell, who starred on Lost with Matthew Fox. Matthew Fox starred on Party of Five with Neve Campbell and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Neve Campbell starred in Scream with Rose McGowan, Jennifer Love Hewitt starred in I Know What You Did Last Summer with Sarah Michelle Gellar. Rose McGowan replaced Shannon Doherty on Charmed, and Sarah Michelle Gellar starred on Buffy with Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl).
