I am writing this on Sunday night, November 22.  It will post on Thanksgiving day.  My intention was to write a post of gratitude on this day named just for that.  It’s been a difficult past couple of months though.  There’s a lot in my life to be grateful for, but it’s hard to write about on a day when I’ve found myself in tears three times, missing my friend.  So instead I’m chosing to express thanks, not for what I have, but for what is happening to me now.

In October I had two life-changing events.  The first was a reality check in the form of some tough criticism.  It should have shaken my foundation, but for some reason it didn’t.  It was a truth I always suspected, that had hidden itself under a pretty package and lots of sugar coating.  The second event was, of course, losing one of my best friends, Amy.  The person I was died the day she did.  I’ve tried, in moments, to venture back to the thoughts, desires, and ideas I had before that day and they’re gone.  I’ve tried to have the same conversations I had before that day and I can’t.  I know this is all meant to be.  It is a huge wake up call.  I’m hitting the snooze button right now though.  I’ve always been one of those people who sets the alarm an hour before they really need to get up, just so they can snooze for an hour.  Right now, I’m trapped in the hour.

I haven’t started “doing” anything yet, but my internal guidance system is hard at work.  When I sit mindlessly lurking on the internet, I get that uncomfortable feeling in my gut.  Today I finally listened.  I closed the laptop and I picked up “Class Lessons” by Joel S. Goldsmith.  Reading it, I was reminded of my nature, of the reality of who I am, who we all are.  I thought more about how I’ve lost my way somewhat.  I don’t study and meditate the way I once did.  To some extent, I’ve let my ego take the wheel.  Losing Amy shined a light on that (which is funny b/c during a conversation she once said to me…”this is all about ego, nothing else”), but in the aftermath I’ve been too numb to make the necessary changes.

I read Joel S. Goldsmith’s teachings and I am reminded not to judge the situation.  Today I received an email that made me very happy.  I was torn between dancing or crying(happy tears).  Later on I thought more about it and realized it was also kind of scary and intimidating.  It was only then that I had to stop myself from judging.  I want to let go of the duality.  I want to let go of the concern for myself.  Before Amy died, I had a g-chat conversation with my cyber-friend Biswajit (who has become a sort of spiritual teacher for me) and he asked me what I was looking for (on my spiritual journey).  My response was something like  “to have a true realization that I am taken care of.”  No sooner had I typed that into the chat box, did he come back with a big NO! He then said “your purpose here is not to be taken care of.  It is to take care of others.”  I knew he was right.

Now I am in the midst of a rebirth.  I am discovering a new life.  I am working my way through the grief and fear.  I am hoping to initiate the changes I am being pulled to make.  I know that it takes silence and clarity to hear my inner voice, but it is that voice that will guide me to my rightful place.

It somehow seemed inevitable that Lil Wayne would try to make a rock album, given that he’s been devoting more and more of his persona over to the idea that he is a "rock star" and been playing (and I use that word loosely) guitar as a part of his stage act.

So here’s Rebirth, a full length "rock" album that features Lil Wayne singing (I use that term loosely as well) with an Auto-Tuner over rock riffs. Whether or not the album will come to be regarded as a idiosyncratic vanity project like 808’s and Heartbreak is to be determined, but given first single "Prom Queen" that seems in doubt.

SS501 member group Kim Kyu Jong dialect inevitably caused episode to the public

Participated in recording KBS 2TV ‘Happy Together 3′.  Kim Kyu Jong said “almost fight me because of my dialect ”, Curious made around me.

From the school of Jeolla, Kim Kyu Jong came to the amusement park in Seoul on a school trip.  Just as a school trip in Seoul, as well as crab season amusement park was crowded with students from all over.   A student at the amusement park hit Kim Kyu Jong and the student asked him ”Are you okay?” .

Kim Kyu Jong answered in Jeolla Dialect “암시롱도 아녀요” is Equivalents as a ‘fine’  but did not mean that in Seoul.  The student misunderstood Kim Kyu Jong and said “What?”  Kyu Jong just kept repeating the dialect “암시롱도 안탕케요” to the student which make the situation even worser.  Fortunately, Misunderstandings could be solved just before the outbreak of fighting

Kim Kyu Jong blowing the wrong way on “Happy Together 3″ will be air on the 26th in public.

Meanwhile, Kyu Jong unwittingly slipped out of the mad accent saying, ”Ahtta, you silly (Oh, really)” in instant.  The accent made the cast and audience to laugh.

To the old man with balding white hair, glasses, wearing the black windbreaker and drinking his coffee while he was barreling down Cliff Drive in Newport Beach this morning while you drove an oversized, raised Ford F150 that screeched before it almost hit me in the crosswalk I would like to say a few words to you… I REALLY DON’T LIKE YOU and THANK YOU.

I REALLY DON’T LIKE YOU because  you put me into fear of paralysis and wheelchair aerobics to the tune of Richard Simons for the rest of my existence and THANK YOU because you gave me one of the 3rd biggest wake up calls of my life……

How much time have I spent past and present obsessing over the imperfections of my body? Way too much. How much time have I argued that if only I ran 6 miles a day and not just 3, my life would be so much better? Insanely too much. How often have I been thankful that all of my limbs work and are fully functioning? Not enough. How often do I thank God for making me a healthy, beautiful woman who can go get any job and travel anywhere in the world without physical hesitations? Never…until today.

When I saw the crosswalk sign flash the little blue person walking I didn’t look both ways I simply, arrogantly ran. Taking for granted that not only could I walk, but I could run and that given the present space and time I was fully desrving of running and not getting hit by a car or a truck for that matter. But, that truck came so close to me that I just froze as it halted just a foot away from my whole body. I was smack dab in front of it. How lucky am I that I wasn’t hit? How lucky am I that I writing this blog without a scratch on my body. So lucky. Sooo sooo sooo lucky!

Today, I am grateful that that truck almost hit me because it has put my body into a new perspective to me. All day I have seen my hands typing, making art, picking up a child, hugging a friend, I have seen my feet walk to my car to go buy my favorite Pumpkin Spice Latte and hold the arm of a little girl while her Dad and I swing her in the air on 1…2….3!!!!! I’m grateful for my body just the way it is today…healthy. It’s my goal to accept my body just the way it is….beautiful, healthy and perfect in this very moment.

Thank you again little old man with “Big Truck Syndrome” you gave me a gift by almost mauling me into Dover Drive….the gift of “Gratitude for the moment.” Thank you..thank you…thank you…

Lil Wayne’s Young Money and Cash Money family is getting set to take the stage again for a tour. As previously reported, Wayne and his YM team are anticipating the release of their two-disc set. Followers of team Wayne will see the We Are Young Money album tagged to his Rebirth rock album. That project was pushed back a week and now hits stores December 22. So what’s the best way to promote a new album? A tour of course!

YM and CM will be hitting the road and according to Young Money’s Gudda Gudda, the tour should be bigger than their summer session of  ‘America’s Most Wanted.’

He told NewLilWayne.com about the upcoming dates saying,

“Definitely got a tour starting, supposed to be anywhere in between the 10th and the 14th of next month…it’s a Young Money/Cash Money tour. I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be either as big or bigger. We don’t take two steps back, you know every time we do something we try to keep moving forward, more progress every time we do something. So, definitely might be either bigger, if not on the same level as one of the others but it’s definitely gonna be a big tour.”

No word on official tour dates and venues but those should be forthcoming.

Hmmm, I wonder if Bow Wow’s going on tour with them too…..That might make it worth seeing, for comedic reasons at least. I could use a good laugh….
