So here’s an outfit by Vikram Phadnis in which Soha Ali is glamourised in & Falguni & Shane Peacock in which Zarine Khan is adorning. Both are attractive red wedding lehenga’s but we have to say that Vikram Phadnis lehenga’s regularly incorporate velvets – which we always love to see! It looks a little more grand compared although Falguni & Shane Peacock’s outfit seems a little more fun and maybe targetted at young women.

We certainly disapprove of the blouse! But the skirt and dupatta are beautiful….Cut work – shimmer with silver & gold highlights are stunning on bright red fabric. We love the outfit, a more conservative style blouse would have been better, with more red possibly? What do you ladies think?

Krishna Mehta, heard of this talented designer? Well she’s an experienced and versatile designer who launched her latest collection at Lakme Fashion Week 2012. She uses innovative-westernised patterns with traditional wear and is a legend in ‘fusion’ looks. We love the golden motifs on the red skirt, but the jacket is subjective to ones’ taste….The white lehenga is a classic and especially with that jewellery! We like!

A lovely bridal piece we must say…..Simple in terms of colour; red & gold – a truly classical design….Traditional patterns in gold emulate a ‘rich’ feel while the princess cut covers those unwanted stomach bumps (which we all have whilst in a seated position during indian wedding proceedings!). We love the low bust line which can be complemented with a simple necklace….What do you ladies think?

JUST FABULOUS! We love corset blouses – whether a saree or lehenga and this Gold-Red lehenga is no exception to being exquisite! A sexy design indeed, would have loved to have seen the dupatta – but this seems to be the kinda thing Indo-Westerners are looking for! Wonder what price tag this is? Well don’t expect anything in loose change, easily a couple of thousand dollars (US) from the Seasons store in Mumbai.

Simple lehenga’s are the preferred choice for Sangeet/Mehndi and other pre – wedding celebrations for many reasons. You can not only dance freely in them, but you can wear them to other people’s events (even though we all like to buy new outfits for each occasion!). Sometimes we see people wearing their bridal outfits with jewels at other people’s wedding and we certainly don’t agree with that! Stay posted for our article on this very aspect! Check out this lovely Black & Red lehenga, with interesting motifs and added highlights of green, pink, blue and orange hues. A unique outfit and not your ‘typical’ mermaid lehenga….although we can’t really tell how the dupatta goes? We do Like it – what do you think?

The perfect finale for Rocky S: Bipasha Basu & Madhavan carried off their new “Jodi Breakers” image gracefully at Wills India Fashion Week 2012. We LOVE the lehenga, rich red with royal blue and the second-sheer dupatta gives a unique touch. The mustard Sherwani is innovative in terms of colour and not bad….we do think it is a stand alone piece and not meant to be ‘paired’ up with this wedding lehenga though. It’s unfortunate that we can’t see the exquisite detail work on the outfits….

Regardless of the era, traditional wear will always be a favourite for some brides. The following outfit is a Ritu Beri design; delicate, soft and simplistic. Touches of green and copper/gold motifs are all over the lehenga. With several tiny patterns, a small or petite frame would look fab in this outfit….. A Ritu Beri design like this could cost you hundreds of US dollars, but definitely less than a thousand US dollars, mostly because you purchase THE brand. Still a pretty buy!
