It had to come to this…. With a white female Independent , Councilwoman Mary Norwood (white), running against state Senator Kasim Reed (black)…..

Although no one wanted to go there initially…they have all gone there now…….

A WSB-TV Channel 2/Insider poll on November 20th had the December 1st run-off election both at 46% , with a 8% undecided number……Norwood came in at 46% in the November 3th general election and Reed had 36%……but there was third black candidate that factored into the vote….

Almost all of Atlanta prominent blacks have fallen behind Reed for the general election…..

The whole thing will come down to where the black votes go (there are 25,000 more black voters then white, but also a good amount of non white or black voters also)….will Reed get all of them?….or will the vote split….thus assuring Norwood the job, since she will most assuredly carry the majority of the white vote……

La mayoría ya sabemos que “Anatomía de Grey” se ha despedido hasta el próximo año, no es que se haya acabado la temporada sino que ha entrado en periodo de hiatus, como la mayoría de las series. Pero no os asustéis porque volverá a la pequeña pantalla para el 14 de enero.

Mientras la espera se hace eterna para nosotros los directivos de la ABC han pensado en todo, y han organizado una serie de webepisodios basados en algunos de los personajes de “Anatomía de Grey” y que llevara por título “Seattle Grace: On Call”.

Parece ser que los protagonistas serán algunos de los personajes secundarios que podemos observar a menudo en el hospital. La serie se podrá ver a través de ABC.com cada jueves y en un principio constara de 6 episodios. Parece que (al menos el primer episodio) se desarrolla en el bar de Joe.

Los episodios tendrán una duración aproximada de 5 minutos, y serán parte de un supuesto documental sobre los médicos del Seattle Grace. En el primer episodio hemos podido ver a los siguientes personajes: Joe (Steven W. Bailey), el interno Steve (Mark Saul) y la despedida Megan (Molly Kidder). También participan Graciella (Gloria Garayua) y Pierce (Joseph Williamson) y completan el elenco los Reed (Nora Zehetner) y Charles (Robert Backer).

Según parece nos comentan que esta serie en internet podría dar algunas pistas sobre el futuro que correrá “Anatomía de Grey” en los próximos episodios. La verdad es que ante la ausencia de la serie no veo mal que se inventen este tipo de métodos para fidelizar a la audiencia, y con todos los personajes secundarios que hay en este hospital la sería podría tener 100 episodios.

Rose still felt the loss of her soulmate, but she had learned to take an interest in life around her. One of her great pleasures that also proved very therapeutic was gardening. She imagined her mother and her grandmother working the same soil before her, coaxing the seedlings up into the sunlight and helping them grow to bear fruit.

She also enjoyed playing with little Blossom, her niece. It was a blessing to have new life in the house.

Blossom’s Aunt Poppy also enjoyed time with the little cutie. She sometimes wondered what it would have been like to follow the motherhood path in life, but she was happy with her art and music. Her legacy would be in the family paintings hanging in the house.

Blossom knew who her mommy was, though. Lily showered her daughter with love every chance she got.

Iris showed an interest in her little cousin, and Lily let her help out in the nursery sometimes. It didn’t seem long ago that Iris herself was sleeping in a crib.

With so many family members around to help with Blossom, Lily and Monty had time to have a quiet dinner alone sometimes. The birth of their daughter had brought them closer together than ever, as each of them saw a little bit of the other in their baby. Every time they looked into each other’s eyes, it was love all over again.

The sisters were all spending more time together these days, too, since they had either achieved or were close to achieving their hard-fought goals in life. They sensed time was passing, and they made the effort to find time to watch a movie together, discuss a painting or a novel or a newly discovered star, or just share a light moment.

………But the family didn’t just hang out around the house. They went to work and study and explore, too. Monty was enjoying his work at the bistro, and had been promoted to vegetable slicer.

Reed enjoyed the freedom of being a teen. He went to tour city hall and take a charisma class, then visited the park. He found himself in a swarm of butterflies, and that sparked an interest in collecting. That day, he got a good start with five different kinds of insects.

Afterward he spent some time hanging out in the park. His Aunt Daisy was there, too, chatting with some older folks. Reed didn’t quite catch what they were saying, but he thought they might be talking about the latest gangster movie or maybe the new end-of-the-world flick.

Daisy said she was going to a game later, and something about checking the entrances and exits. Funny, Reed had never known she was that safety conscious.

Iris liked riding the schoolbus with her big brother Reed. She was also excited about taking a fishing class with him, although his first catch was way bigger than hers.

One event that happened in town was not nearly so nice. Just as the family was growing beyond their grief over Cedrick’s death, Lily got a call to rush to the bistro. The paramedics were doing their best when she got there, but it was too late. Monty was gone.

This was not long before Blossom’s birthday, so the family planned to have a quiet little cake ceremony at home. Everybody tried to put a brave face on it, but Iris couldn’t help but feel for her cousin, who might not even remember her daddy when she got older.

Blossom turned out to be a cheerful little toddler with fair hair and laughing eyes. Much as Lily’s heart ached, when she held her little darling she knew that part of Monty lived on in her arms. Her sisters were amazed at her resilience.

Except for Daisy, that is. Daisy had run off somewhere on the other side of town. What was she up to? And who had seen her?

Thereby.  And thereby hangs a tale… or, in this case, tail.  We can see it this time.  Last time it turned up, it was invisible.

 Im; thereby, by it.  Let’s have a closer look at the individual signs.  First, i:

 A simple sound, and a simple sign to draw.  I usually start at the top, making a little curve which turns into the downstroke, a bit like a walking stick.  Then I start at the walking stick handle and draw a slightly outward-sloping line which curves back in again to meet the bottom of the first downstroke, and closes off the bottom of the stalk.  And a stalk is what it is, as this symbol represents the flowering head of a reed, like these ethereal beauties:

It’s difficult to capture such fragile beauty in stone or ink, but the originals do retain their purity of line:

Now, we’ve had m before, but it was in brackets because the scribe hadn’t actually put it in to the inscription, as often happens with common symbols in formulae, when you’ve got umpteen to bang out in the workshop and most people can’t read anyway.  M was the invisible owl.  We can see him now:

 There, I told you he was gorgeous.  He’s tricky to draw, but he has four basic characteristics; if you emphasise them in your hieroglyphic hand, he will be recognisable.  They are:  a flat head; a front-facing face (unusual for the Egyptians, who were always presenting their best profile to the observer); a wing that folds right across his breast, as though he’s glaring at you over the top of his arm in his cape, like Zorro, and a square bottom to his tail.  Put them all together, and you’ve got yourself an ancient Egyptian owl.

Back to the drawing board.  I usually start left to right with the flat line of the head, then a sharp turn downwards and a little curve in for the side of the head and neck, and a long curve at about 45 degrees for his back.  Then I come back up to his shoulder and make the deep right to left curve of his wing, swoop it round and just make his wing tip meet the line of his back.  The I go back to my starting-point at the top left of his head and come straight down the side of his head and neck, slope down and in for his body (doing it this way means you get the line the right side of his wing.  If you do the outline first and the wing second, you sometimes don’t leave enough room.)  Do a sharp dogleg in under his belly and a couple of little vees for his feathery legs, then down again for his tail, squaring it off at the bottom.  Then you can draw him a couple of little stick feet emerging from his feathers, and a nice deep v with curly ends for his eyes and beak.  He’s a complicated sign to draw, but he’s worth it.  And look what they could do with him when they had time:

So there we are, Line 3 of the offering formula well and truly dissected:

Sen. Chris Buttars

Apparently the LDS / Mormon Church supporting the Salt Lake City ordinances last week, banning discrimination against the LGBT (gay) community in matters of housing and employement, is the equivalent of a 500 lb loaf of pumpkin bread. Huh… maybe all I had to do was bake more?

In an unexpected announcement today, Utah State Senator Chris Buttars (R – West Jordan) announced that due to the LDS or Mormon Church’s statements this past week, he now supports fair workplace and housing laws for the LGBT community on a state level. “I agree with what the Church said,” Buttars told KUTV news, “that an individual should be able to have a roof over their head and have a job, and not worry about being fired..”

Buttars is of course known state-wide for his fierce opposition to anything that resembles gay rights, including his critical role in working to ban Gay-Straight Alliances in Utah schools. His fame reached national media attention this past year with his now infamous comments to director Reed Cowan for an interview in Cowans’ upcoming film Mormon Proposition, in which Buttars declares gay people to be “the biggest threat to America going down..”

Back in January of this year, I had a chance to speak with Senator Buttars at his home in a community-outreach effort with PRIDE In Your Community. During what has been called the “Pumpkin Bread Talks” Chris Buttars made it very clear that although he claimed to be sympathetic, he was in no way favoring supporting any rights for one of Utah’s minorities, including workplace and housing protections.

So why the sudden change of heart? Our illustrious Senator claims that it was the Mormon Church’s public statements, however inside sources have shed some light on some closed-door statements made by LDS Church officials, including the phrase “we’ve got him [Buttars] under control.”

KUTV’s interview with the Sentator concluded as you would expect, give-a-little, take-a-lot. While with the support of Chris Buttars, fair workplace and housing laws may very well pass the legislature this year, however he will also be pushing to make it illegal for any other city in Utah to pass anti-discrimination laws, everything else will be required to go through at a state level.

The Bengals are for real and Chad Ochocinco didn’t even pay me to say that. Cincinnati went on the road and beat Pittsburgh 18-12 this afternoon — a defensive slugfest with the only touchdown coming on a 96-yard kickoff return by Bernard Scott late in the first quarter. Shayne Graham and Jeff Reed each had four field goals, though Reed’s feat is a bit more impressive considering he was likely drunk.

Cincinnati improves to 7-2 with the win, including 4-0 against division powerhouses Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Have they proven themselves legitimate contenders? Well, it would seem that way, but since they’re still the Bengals, they might have to win it all to make believers out of most. Still, nice to see them go in and leave a mark on a division mostly run by the Steelers and the Ravens the past 131 years or so.

Elsewhere, it was a another rough week for my boy Kyle Orton, who threw for 193 yards and two touchdowns in the first half before leaving with an ankle injury and watching his Bronco mates fall to the dreadful Redskins, 27-17. No word on the extent of the injury, which was suffered on a scramble late in the second quarter. The loss was Denver’s third straight after starting 6-0.

Push back the covers, sit up, put one foot on the floor, now the other, push up to a standing position.

These were the steps that Rose repeated to herself every morning to remind herself how to get out of bed. Crazy as it seemed, the world just went on turning and expected her to go along with it, despite the fact that the nice little garden that was her life had been plowed up without mercy.

Take one step forward, then another, force the corners of the mouth up in a smile if someone passes by.

Rose’s sisters were worried about her. She seemed to have aged overnight, and her previously smooth face now had fine lines around her eyes and forehead. She spent hours just staring into thin air. They tried to gently nudge her into some of the things that had given her happiness before, like fishing, but even when she could only be persuaded to go through the basics of life, Lily, Poppy, and even Daisy kept an eye on her, and they tried to step in to care for the kids, too.

Lily was finally able to interest Rose in the family garden one day by asking her help with some of the more advanced gardening techniques. Rose was very tentative at first, but she gradually put more energy into it, even giving a good solid yank on one particularly obstinate weed. As she raised up to tend to one of the fruit trees, she stared at it and then reached out a hand to touch it.

She felt the firmness of the tree trunk and looked at the graceful reach of its branches. In her mind she could hear the voice of her mother as she taught her how to take care of the garden. Rose had been afraid to prune a young apple tree, but Dahlia had said to her, “Rose, I know you don’t want to hurt the tree, but remember that it will grow stronger because of this. It’s a lot like life – we don’t want to be hurt, but if we make an effort, we can learn and grow stronger because of these experiences.”

Rose looked up and pulled a rich red apple from the tree and smiled softly at it. Then she turned her gaze in the direction of the family cemetery. “Cedrick, my love, I will always miss you, but I am grateful for the time I had with you. If people are like trees, like my mother said, then our children are our fruit, and I have got to pull it together for them. Don’t think for a minute that I don’t still love you, but I can’t cry anymore. I have to live.”

After Rose had her revelation, the rest of the family had more time for their own pursuits. Daisy put her efforts into rising up through the ranks of her “organization,” and went as far as to invite her boss over for a chat and outright ask her for a chance to move up. She was very convincing.

Lily continued her work at the hospital, which had her free time in conflict with Monty’s, as he worked evenings at the Bistro, but they were more determined than ever to make their precious moments count.

Lily was thrilled to tell her husband the news that they were expecting. He seemed to go through around eight different emotions in the space of a minute, and then he pulled her into an excited embrace. They called the family together and shared their news, then Monty ran around the house checking all the appliances and plumbing to make sure the house was ready to receive a newborn. Lily just laughed and told him he had a few months still, but he was a man on a mission. He had never thought that he would be a father at his age, and he could hardly wait to hold a happy little bundle in his arms.

During her maternity leave, Lily returned to an old hobby of hers, stargazing. She spent many evenings on the balcony, peering through the telescope at the stars. One night she spied something falling from the sky! She hopped into a taxi as quickly as her growing tummy allowed and zipped off to find where it landed.

Enormous? Gigantic? There was no word quite capable of describing the size of the space rock she discovered. Now Lily had two things to do: 1) write to her distant cousin Liko and tell him she could now join his BDR club, and 2) figure out how to get this thing home!

The months passed, and soon it was time for Reed and Iris to celebrate their birthdays. Since they fell so close together on the calendar, Rose decided to have a joint birthday party for them in the garden.

Reed and Iris grew up very well, and they said they had a great party…

… even if the party ended in chaos with Aunt Lily rushing to the hospital to have her baby!

In my childhood, very few things were ever called ‘sacred’. My parents were scientists, who followed the religion of Science. Darwin was our god and Bill Nye was our prophet. If any questions arose during the day about anything, one only had to wait until after school when Bill Nye the Science Guy would sort everything out using only the power of His Mind. So naturally, when I heard he was coming to visit our humble school, like everyone else I pretty much flipped my shit.

But without even feeling it go, that sense of unbridled excitement left me and was replaced by a much more gripping feeling of pure, indulgent dread. There was absolutely no way that the laws of the Universe would allow Bill Nye to be the same man I remember him as. Even if the cheesy 90’s graphics, the silly science puns, the goggles, beakers and bow ties were still there, Bill Nye could not have been as entertaining or as endearing as I knew him. I realize that, for our generation at least, nostalgia can compensate for sheer lack of quality. If something was good then, the fact that it was then can make up for the fact that it’s not so good now. But even so, the better part of me wanted to keep that memory crystallized. I didn’t want Bill Nye to change. His answers were satisfying then, but it seemed ridiculous for him to have all the answers to the questions I’m asking now.

For anyone who is not familiar with the Bill Nye phenomenon, all you need to know is that he made science fun and interesting, or at least engaging, for kids like me. His Emmy-winning educational show, Bill Nye the Science Guy, ran for 100 episodes between 1993 and 1997. He started as an actual scientist, working in aeronautics for Boeing, but soon moved into television. Since the show, Nye has become a representation of the current scientific community for many, and has appeared as his Science Guy persona in several various guest roles. He is still active in astronomy, especially the recent Mars missions, and has become increasingly involved in environmental efforts to combat climate change.

When Tuesday came, Phoebe and I lined up as early as we could manage. Once the line started moving, the crowd lined up single file and we quickly realized that we would be lucky to get seats, let alone good ones. Thankfully, our hands were stamped and the flow of the crowd led us to the second to last row in the balcony. We barely made it in. But we did make it.

We waited in the lecture hall as anticipation from the entire student body continued to build. I sat patiently contemplating life, notebook at the ready, while Phoebe read to me from her homework just to annoy me. “Why are you underlining with a highlighter?” I finally asked. “It’s too dark a color to actually highlight with”, she said like it was obvious.

Finally, the man was introduced. The lights dimmed, and as I put my feet up on the bar in front of me, I felt all that anxiety give way to the excitement I had felt before. I hunched forward to the edge of the seat, and being up high in the balcony I felt like a little kid again, ready for the roller coaster to drop me back into the 90’s, when Bill Nye had all the answers.

“You are part of what I like to call the Space Generation” he began. Meaning that because our generation was born after the launch of Sputnik and the subsequent wave of discovery it brought to the world, we are more annoyed than invigorated when we see yet another picture of Earth from space. We are part of a generation that has become difficult to impress, but Bill Nye did his best. He told us about space, our solar system, and his part in creating a sundial for each of the Mars Exploration Rovers. Coming from a sundial-obsessed father, Nye felt the MarsDials would be an essential addition. They were primarily used to calibrate the high-resolution panoramic cameras on each rover, but they functioned on Mars the same way they do on Earth – using the same sun.

He called himself “Uncle Bill”, made jokes about pantyhose, and even dropped a Camus reference. At one point, he said the word “sexy”. Phoebe nudged me and stage whispered jokingly, “Write down that he’s a perv!” I just rolled my eyes and kept listening.

“You are also part of what I call the Climate Generation” he later remarked. Most of us in the audience were born after June 23, 1988 when NASA scientist Jim Hanson first testified before Congress, bringing significant awareness to the global issue of climate change. He explained that this meant we also wouldn’t be too shocked by the news of climate change. At this point in the presentation, Nye’s powerpoint turned from pictures of Mars rovers to pictures of lonely polar bears and disappearing ice sheets. He tells us this is the “heartbreak of discovery”, uncovering something about our world that we might regret knowing about rather than enjoy. We were circling dangerously close to Inconvenient Truth territory for a few moments, but Nye’s emphasis became what we can do rather than the damage we’ve already done.

There were the usual ideas like more efficient cars and less overall power use, but the best ones were those that seemed so obvious, I told myself that’s why I had never considered them before. “I want to make you rich!” he told us, describing his ideas to create a better battery, a charger that knows when the computer is no longer plugged in, and the crowd favorite, a bike tunnel that is engineered so that everyone gets a tailwind. He charged the audience with the task of making the world a better place – really. “In the year 2015” he said, “remember this, and ask yourself if anything has changed.”

“You can change the world!” he shouted more than once that night, and I still believe him. The Science Guy is necessarily different than I remember, but he is still exactly what we need. He still has the answers we want, but he seems like a man who’s now satisfied with asking us the questions, confident in the knowledge that he’s prepared us for any direction we decide to take and any problem we decide to take on.

When the lights came back on he spent a considerable amount of time carefully answering questions about his idols (Carl Sagan and Don Herbert), the state of science education in the country (not great), and even the existence of God (still not much proof). The standing ovation seemed like a formality, he knew how much we respect we have for him. Phoebe and I peered over the edge of the balcony as the mob swarmed him, asking questions and offering outstretched hands. “I have to shake his hand”, I told her. She laughed as we both realized that wasn’t going to happen, and I led the way down the stairs, away from the crowd. But before we got too far, Bill Nye and an assistant-looking woman I didn’t recognize crossed in front of us on the way to his car. I stood still, looked at Phoebe and sang the theme song to Bill Nye the Science Guy.

PENYAKIT CANCER, UPDATE DARI RUMAH SAKIT JOHNS HOPKINS

SETELAH BERTAHUN2 MENGATAKAN PADA KHALAYAK BAHWA KEMOTERAPI ADALAH CARA SATU2NYA UNTUK MENCOBA (KATA KUNCI: MENCOBA) DAN MENGHILANGKAN PENYAKIT CANCER, JOHN HOPKINS AKHIRNNYA MULAI MENGATAKAN: ” ADA CARA ALTERNATIF”.

Update dari John Hopkins:

1. Tiap orang mempunyai sel kanker. Sel kanker ini tidak tampak dalam pemeriksaan standar sampai sel2 ini berkembang biak hingga berjuta jumlahnya. Pada saat dokter memberitahu pasien bahwa “tidak ada sel kanker lagi” setelah menjalani pengobatan, itu artinya pemeriksaan yang dilakukan sudah tidak dapat mendeteksi sel2 cancer karena sel2 tersebut sudah berada di bawah ukuran/jumlah yang dapat terdeteksi.

2. Sel cancer tumbuh antara 6 sampai lebih dari 10 kali dalam jangka waktu hidup manusia.

3. Pada saat kekebalan tubuh seseorang tinggi, sel2 cancer akan dihancurkan dan dicegah sehingga tidak dapat bertambah banyak dan membentuk tumor.

4. Pada saat seseorang menderita cancer ini menunjukkan bahwa orang tersebut mengalami beberapa kekurangan nutrisi. Ini dapat terjadi karena
faktor genetika, lingkungan, makanan dan cara hidup.

5. Untuk menanggulangi kekurangan nutrisi dan memperkuat sistem
kekebalan tubuh dapat ditempuh dengan merubah diet (cara makan) dan
menambahkan asupan suplemen.

6. Kemoterapi, meracuni sel cancer yang bertumbuh cepat, tapi pada saat yang sama juga menghancurkan pertumbuhan sel sehat dalam tulang sumsum, gastro- intestinal tracts (saluran pencernaan) dll, dan dapat
menyebabkan kerusakan pada organ2 lain, seperti hati, ginjal, jantung,
paru2 dll.

7. Sedangkan radiasi, bersamaan dengan fungsinya yang menghancurkan
sel cancer, juga menyebabkan luka bakar, meninggalkan bekas luka, dan merusak sel, tissues, dan organ yang sehat.

8. Perawatan dini dengan kemoterapi dan radiasi dapat mengurangi
ukuran tumor. Namun penerapan kemoterapi dan radiasi yang berkepanjangan tidak akan menghasilkan pengurangan tumor lebih
lanjut.

9. Pada saat tubuh menanggung beban racun yang berlebihan dari kemoterapi dan radiasi, sistem kekebalan tubuh akan terancam atau hancur, karena itulah seseorang akan mengalami berbagai macam infeksi dan komplikasi.

10. Kemoterapi dan radiasi dapat menyebabkan sel kanker bermutasi
dan menjadi tahan dan sulit untuk dihancurkan. Operasi juga dapat menyebabkan sel cancer menyebar ke tempat2 lainnya.

11. Cara efektif untuk melawan cancer adalah dengan membuatnya
kelaparan, yaitu dengan cara tidak memberikan makanan yg dibutuhkan dalam sel untuk dapat berkembang biak.

SEL CANCER MEMAKAN:

1. Gula. Dengan meniadakan gula dalam asupan
makanan itu berarti menghilangkan makanan utama sel cancer. Pengganti
gula seperti NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, dll dibuat dari Aspartame, dan ini
berbahaya.
Pengganti yang lebih natural yaitu madu Manuka atau molasses,
tapi dalam jumlah yang sedikit. Garam meja mengandung bahan kimia tambahan untuk menjadikannya putih. Alternatif yang lebih baik yaitu Bragg’s aminos atau garam laut.

2. Susu menyebabkan tubuh menghasilkan mucus, terutama di dalam
gastro-intestinal tract (saluran pencernaan). Mucus juga makanan sel
kanker. Dengan meniadakan susu dan menggantikannya dengan susu kedelai
(tanpa gula) sel-sel cancer akan kelaparan.

3. Sel2 cancer berkembang dengan baik di lingkungan yang tinggi asam.
Dietari yang berbasis daging sangat tinggi kadar asamnya. Oleh karena
itu lebih baik mengkonsumsi ikan, sedikit ayam daripada sapi atau babi.
Daging juga mengandung antibiotic, hormon tambahan dan parasit2 untuk peternakan. Kesemuanya ini sangat berbahaya, terutama untuk penderita cancer.

4. Dietari yang 80% berbasis sayuran segar dan sarinya (jus), whole grain , kacang2an dan sedikit buah akan membantu menjadikan tubuh dalam situasi alkaline. 20% dari persentasi tadi dapat diambil dari makanan yang dimasak termasuk kecambah. Sari sayuran segar mengandung enzim2 aktif/hidup
yang dapat diserap dengan mudah dan dapat mencapai titik selular dalam
waktu 15 menit untuk memberi makan dan mempercepat pertumbuhan sel2
sehat.
Guna memperoleh enzim2 aktif untuk membangun sel sehat, minumlah sari
sayuran segar (hampir semua jenis sayuran, termasuk kecambah) dan makanlah sejumlah sayuran mentah 2-3 kali sehari. Enzim2 ini hancur pada
temperature 40 derajat Celcius.

5. Hindari kopi, teh dan coklat, karena mengandung kafein yang tinggi.  Teh hijau lebih baik sebagai alternatifnya, dan mempunyai unsur2 yang memerangi cancer. Air, yang paling baik yaitu air yang sudah di saring
(filtered) guna menhindari racun2 dan kandungan2 logam dalam air keran.
Hindari air yang sudah melewati proses distilasi karena mengandung asam.

6. Protein dari daging sulit untuk di cerna dan membutuhkan enzim
pencerna yang cukup banyak. Kandungan daging yang tidak tercerna dan
tertinggal di saluran pencernaan akhirnya akan membusuk dan menambah
timbunan racun.

7. Dinding sel2 kanker mempunyai selaput protein yang kuat.
Dengan menghindari makanan mengandung daging, tubuh membutuhkan jauh lebih sedikit enzim untuk mencerna makanan, sehingga sebagian besar enzim dapat menyerang dinding protein pada sel2 cancer dan selanjutnya memungkinkan bagi sel2 tubuh untuk menghancurkan sel2 cancer.

8. Beberapa suplemen menaikan system kekebalan tubuh (IP6, Floressence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, mineral, EFAs dll) sehingga memungkinkan sel2 tubuh sehat untuk menghancurkan sel2 cancer. Suplemen lain seperti Vitamin E diketahui menyebabkan apoptosis, atau sel mati terprogram, yaitu metode natural dari tubuh untuk membuang sel2 yang rusak, yang tidak dikehendaki, atau tidak dibutuhkan.

9. Cancer adalah penyakit yang melibatkan pikiran, tubuh dan jiwa.
Jiwa yang proaktif dan positif akan membantu penderita cancer untuk sembuh. Kemarahan, tidak dapat memaafkan, dan kegetiran menjadikan tubuh dalam situasi yang tegang dan berkadar asam tinggi. Belajar untuk berjiwa lembut dan pemaaf. Belajar untuk bersantai dan menikmati hidup.

10. Sel cancer tidak dapat berkembang dalam lingkungan yang tinggi oksigen. Berolahraga setiap hari dan menghirup nafas dalam2 dapat membantu asupan oksigen dalam tahap selular. Terapi oksigen juga salah
satu cara yang digunakan untuk menghancurkan sel2 cancer.

Jangan menggunakan tempat plastic di microwave, Jangan memasukan botol air ke freezer, Jangan menggunakan ‘plastic wrap’ di microwave.

Rumah Sakit John Hopkins baru-baru ini memasukkan berita ini di newsletters -nya. Informasi ini juga diedarkan di Walter Reed Army Medical
Center .

Dioxin adalah jenis bahan kimia yang menyebabkan cancer, terutama cancer
payudara. Dioxin juga berkadar racun tinggi bagi sel2 di tubuh kita.

Jangan membekukan botol plastik dengan air di dalamnya karena ini melepaskan kandungan dioxin yang terdapat dalam plastik.

Baru2 ini Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager di Rumah Sakit
Castle, hadir di satu program televisi untuk menjelaskan bahaya kesehatan
ini. Beliau menjelaskan sebaiknya tidak memanaskan makanan di dalam
microwave menggunakan tempat plastik.

Terlebih untuk makanan yang mengandung lemak. Beliau juga mengatakan
bahwa kombinasi lemak, panas tinggi dan plastic melepaskan dioxin ke dalam makanan yang akhirnya akan masuk ke dalam sel2 tubuh.
Beliau menghimbau untuk memanaskan makanan di microwave dengan Corning Ware, Pyrex atau keramik. Produk kertas tidak begitu jelek namun kita tidak tau apa yang ada di kertas tersebut. Lebih aman menggunakan produk2 di atas. Dia mengingatkan kita bahwa beberapa waktu lalu restoran cepat saji beralih dari produk foam ke kertas. Hal ini juga disebabkan karena masalah dioxin.

Beliau juga mengungkapkan tentang plastic wrap seperti Saran, juga berbahaya untuk digunakan menutup makanan yang akan di panaskan dalam
microwave. Panas yang tinggi dapat menyebabkan zat2 beracun meleleh dan
menetes ke dalam makanan. Tutuplah makanan dengan paper towel (tissue
dapur).
