An offshore company is simple and easy to form. With increase in the demand for this type of company

An offshore company is simple and easy to form. With increase in the demand for this type of company, many corporations have come up to make the formation of these companies easy and simple. The companies are formed outside the countries of jurisdiction for the following reasons. They are formed to help those with dire need to have a faster formation and development of companies in other nations easier. This is mostly done when the company sees some possibility of profit making in a given nation easy. Historically, offshore companies have been known to provide many services. This is determined by the reason for choosing a certain jurisdiction. The major reason for starting these companies is to help other companies acquire the assets of a subsidiary on its liquidation.

To form an offshore company, there are set rules and procedures that must be followed to legally own such companies. The following must therefore be taken into account during the formation of such companies:
- A memorandum and articles of association or the set bylaws must be given in a properly detailed document. This shows all the rights that an individual has as a member of that company. The set objectives and goals of the company and the internal activities must be clearly outlined in the Memorandum.
- Certificate of Incorporation which is issued by the Company Registry Board must be given. This serves as a proof that the company is registered and is has a good business standing.
- Appointment of an agent in the country in which the company has been formed. This helps in cases of official communications with the registry board. The agent is allowed to carry out some official duties in company.
- The official address of the company must be provided. This will act as a legal provisional for the company correspondences.
- The legal owners of the company must be identified. This is done by giving the list of shareholders of other members that have a legal link to the business or company. These are only people who are meant to directly benefit from the company.
- The names of the directors, managers and members who will be involved in the daily running of the company must be provided. This comprises of all directors, shadow directors and company secretaries.
- Finally, during the formation of offshore companies, the type of offshore company that is to be formed must clearly be shown. This is because offshore companies are found in different major types namely: an Offshore Company with a share capital, an offshore company limited by guarantee, hybrid type which is a combination of the two and finally protected cell company.

An example of an established offshore company jurisdiction is Belize. This is because it has a government registered company called Belize Offshore Formation Ltd which deals mainly in offshore company formation and registration. This company is guided by the standard set rules IBC. From this Act, an individual or group of people is able to incorporate a company. The Offshore Company Act in Belize does not allow a residence of Belize to conduct business.

We provide the following company formation services, Seychelles Company Formation |Belize Company Formation|BVI Company Formation as well as the opening of bank accounts for clients worldwide.

There are a lot of money making opportunities available, but most people don’t bother to think outsi

There are a lot of money making opportunities available, but most people don’t bother to think outside the box. Instead of finding a niche market that isn’t saturated, individuals choose to follow in the footsteps of others. Whatever money making opportunity has the most information in Google, they will most likely try to pursue. Of course, chasing a profit in a market that is saturated simply isn’t the right way to go about things.
Instead, why not take the time to research markets that are not as saturated, and offer profits that exceed those of the smaller markets. So where are we going with this? Start a Forex Trading company!

Forex Trading is one of the best ways to make a huge profit in the world. It suppasses the likes of any internet marketing opportunities and is definitely a lot easier to run than the likes of an ecommerce website. Better still, as long as you offer a great incentive program, you can have people promoting your business for you. Of course, the good thing about the incentive program or affiliate scheme is that you won’t even need to pay the people marketing your business until they make a sale. This represents a low risk high reward business model.

So instead of being the person promoting the products and services, set up the products and services and let others battle it out. The affiliate markets are literally dripping with people ready to promote your products. What does this mean for you? Well, it means that you’ll never be short of people promoting your business and all you need to do is focus on the day to day running of your Forex Trading Company.
Better still; the more people that promote your products and services, the better coverage it will get. This means other affiliates will find your business and before you know it you’ll have a huge network of affiliates across the world fighting to get a sale for your company. Essentially you have a sales workforce disposable at your finger tips, constantly introducing your Forex Trading Company to new clients – what could be easier?

The great thing about setting up a Forex Trading Company is that everyone else thinks it is too complicated. For this reason they will steer clear of this money making opportunity and go for much more viable options. What they don’t know is that there are plenty of companies that specialize in the formation of these specific companies. You pay them all the basic fees and they will literally do all the work for you.
So to sum up everything we have mentioned above. If you want to be the one doing the least work and making the most money, then you should look at setting up a Forex Trading Company. There are companies that will quite happily take care of the setup. Once it is setup you need to produce an affiliate scheme, which means you won’t even have to focus on getting clients!

In writing or speaking English, there are some complicated issues at stake when we use expressions w

In writing or speaking English, there are some complicated issues at stake when we use expressions which noticeably advertise their origins in other languages. Compare and contrast the following examples:

1) In December 1998 Peter Mandelson had to resign as Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, after a scandal to do with a loan. Alistair Campbell drafted a resignation letter to Blair for him, which he made a few changes to, and then signed. At least one of the papers got hold of the actual letter, and reproduced it in facsimile, and there was one very striking thing about it, if I remember rightly. Where it included the words ‘I am very proud of the role I played in helping you and previous leaders of the Labour Party to make our party electable…’, someone had marked in by hand, in black ink, a little circumflex above the word ‘role’, so that it said, in effect, ‘I am very proud of the rôle I played…’

Pretentious, moi? As their caricatures go, the adding of the circumflex seems to confirm something, if we take it to be added by Mandelson to Campbell’s original. Campbell is the sweary Burnley fan, while Mandelson is, well, the opposite of that; see the mysterious recurrence of the word feline in his press coverage, the mushy peas taken for guacamole, and all that. All of this, of course, is inextricable from our own more-or-less prejudiced ideas about Campbell and Mandelson’s class, sexuality, trustworthiness, and so on. The little hat, then, which simply serves to make the -o- in role longer, might have a lot riding on it.

2) An episode of The Simpsons. When Homer tells the guys at the bar that there’s something suspicious about his garage, Moe gets indignant, and takes up Homer’s word in sing-song stage French: ‘Garage? Hey fellas, the garage. Well ooh-la-di-da, Mr. Frenchman!’ And Homer says, ‘Well, what do you call it?’ And Moe says: ‘A car-hold!‘ (And later in the episode Homer has learnt his linguistic lesson, exclaiming in shock at his discovery: ‘A counterfeit jeans ring operating out of my car-hold!’)

3) A story from Peter Ackroyd’s biography of Dickens. Dickens is having a conversation with a friend, in which the word ‘model’ occurs — he’s asking his friend to tell him who had been the model for something. Dickens, Ackroyd writes, ‘pronounced the word with its then accustomed French intonation, modèle’; but he found his friend replying with ‘the now standard pronunciation, model (moddle)’. Dickens seems to have found this pretty funny (it works better in context; and, frankly, you have to find the laughs in these literary biographies wherever you can), and so he proceeded to rag his friend for pronouncing it like an English word, instead of a French one, giving him the nickname Mr Moddle.

It’s not clear who comes best out of these stories. But what is clear is that these rare and foreign-seeming usages are implicated with questions to do with social status, sophistication, etiquette, correctness, community, and so on, and that these questions are apt to be the site of acute anxieties and contestations. ‘Notre contestation est verbale’, as Montaigne wrote. Or, as Foucault writes, language is ‘no mere verbalisation of conflicts of domination’, but is instead ‘the very object of man’s conflicts’. Well, ooh-la-di-da, Mr. Frenchman!

What happens when similar difficulties are transplanted into poetry? Compare and contrast, now, these examples:

1) Robert Potts reviews Simon Armitage’s Tyrannosaurus Rex Versus the Corduroy Kid in the Guardian, and ticks him off for his bad German: ‘Armitage and his editor should remember that the plural of “wunderkind” is “wunderkinder”‘. Armitage had written a line, in the poem ‘Surtsey’, about a ‘coast / where all the world’s wunderkind are washed up’. For the subsequent US edition, perhaps because of reading Potts’s review, or perhaps because editors at Knopf have better German than editors at Faber, Armitage duly changed it, to read ‘…all the world’s wunderkinder…’.

Now, the plural of wunderkind, in English, has traditionally either been the German-style wunderkinder, or the English-style wunderkinds. The OED records G.B. Shaw, in 1891, writing of ‘Wunderkinder who can perform all the childish feats of Mozart’. The dictionary thinks that this is the first usage in English of the word. But is it really in English? Or is Shaw using (or perhaps citing) a German word, in an English sentence, hence the prophylactic italics and the capital W (because all nouns are capitalized in German)? By 1940, in the dictionary, we find H.G. Wells using the plural ‘Wunderkinds‘ — although he attributes it to a fictional character, with the word in inverted commas; and it keeps the italics and capital W.

What’s it going to be then, eh? Wunderkind, wunderkinds, wunderkinder, Wunderkinder? Or can’t we just say wonder-kids, or whizz-kids? Robert Potts’s confidence about correctness begs a large question. I can’t help finding Armitage’s back-tracking, to the correct German form, a bit of a disappointment. Doesn’t it sound worse, the revised line? What does Armitage do if he reads this poem aloud? Does he mumble over it, or does he ham it up properly, as /voondərkindər/? Or does he pronounce wunder like English ‘wonder’, and thereby peg another double-you on the w-line, after where…world’s…washed?

Armitage’s original plural wunderkind might have seemed like a deliberate and striking choice: it makes these whizz-kids, like sheep or fish, so much at home in the language that they have one of those irregulable identical plurals which baffle language learners. But to Potts it just seemed like a mistake. Potts, not coincidentally, was leading up to the adverse criticism he makes at the end of his review, where he says that although Armitage ’still writes as well as anyone, in his particular vein’, there are ’some worrying signs’ that ‘the limits of his language… have indeed begun to contract’. Hmmm….

2) In a poem called ‘You Bring Flowers’, printed in the pamphlet Lighter (but not in the book Public Dream), Frances Leviston began with the line:

We say they are civilised, flowers, blooming like metropoli

Hang on — blooming like what? The word metropoli here is doing an impression of the -i suffix which, as the OED says, is the plural ending of Latin second declension nouns ending in -us, and also of Italian words ending in -o and -e, and which is –

retained in English in the plurals of some words in learned or scientific use, as cirri, foci, radii, banditti, dilettanti, literati. In some words a learned or technical plural in -i and a popular one in -uses are both in use, e.g. foci, focuses, hippopotami, hippopotamuses.

So Leviston’s poem calls on a ‘learned’ register in this opening line; it rejects the ‘popular’ in favour of the ‘learned or technical’ form of the word, and it does so, cleverly, at the outset of a poem which engages the danger of two very proximate kinds of ‘popular’ sentiment: the kind that lives in poetry about flowers, and the kind that lives in love poetry. The learnedness of metropoli also retroactively brings out something in the etymological root of ‘civilised’. This initially seemed to be a measure of social nuance, well-manneredness, but now it shows up its origin in Latin civis, a citizen, one who has a share in the city; and the rest of the poem’s first four lines then expand the flowers-as-cities conceit. Very clever indeed.

But there’s a problem here. Metropolis doesn’t come from Latin or Italian; it comes from the Greek meter, ‘mother’ + polis, ‘city’. The English plural has most often been metropolises, treating it like a regular English word; but people have also used what would be the correct Greek form, metropoleis. What would Robert Potts say, at this point? That Leviston and her editor (which here means Sean O’Brien, who provides a prefatory note to Lighter) should remember that the plural of ‘metropolis’ is ‘metropoleis’? But wouldn’t that sound, like, a bit rubbish? How do you even say it — metropo-lay-iss or something? Or else it could go, ‘We say they are civilised, flowers, blooming like [metropolises]‘; and straightaway, again, the line would be sunk.

What conclusions could we draw from this? Is all this pedantry, on my part, or Robert Potts’s part, anything other than a pointless classist buzzkill — these doomy dictionary-readers clipping the wings of real live poets to make themselves feel bigger? What would Moe the bartender say to Simon Armitage? Hey fellas, get a load of this: voon-deh-kin-dehr. Oh, they’re like metropoli are they? Well la-di-dah, little Miss Plato.

A few final questions. When Geoffrey Hill writes of ‘waxwings / becoming sportif in the grimy air’, why doesn’t he write, say, ‘waxwings / getting sporty in the grimy air’, or ‘becoming sportifs in the grimy air’? When Michael Hofmann writes, in the course of a seven-line poem (‘June’, from Approximately Nowhere) of writing ‘Lines, sentences, bonmots‘, but ‘Rarely a paragraph / or stanza (“room”)’; and of being ‘always on the qui vive‘ (and he provides an answer in parentheses: ‘why, ourselves of course!’) — well, what’s going on? Is it the same thing three times, or some different things, or not much at all? Is there a gender significance to all this — show-off boys impressing each other with the posh words they know? (In primary school I was in a club of two with a boy called James Wenban, which we called Swearing Club: the point was, we would say to each other swear words that we’d heard. ‘I learnt a good one the other day, jism‘. Never the same innocence again.)

Should we feel uneasy about the social implications of word forms and origins, in poetic usage? And if so, what should we do?

Matthew Sperling teaches English Literature at Keble College, Oxford. He recently completed a doctoral thesis, and is now at work on several forthcoming publications, on topics including the poetry of Roy Fisher, Geoffrey Hill, and (early) J.H.Prynne, and the philological writings of Richard Chenevix Trench.

Thanks to everyone who came to our Bonfire Party this weekend – especially Trev and Conny, who

Thanks to everyone who came to our Bonfire Party this weekend – especially Trev and Conny, who came all the way from Bristol. I think everyone had a great time out in the garden, even if it was damn chilly and local fireworks displays lent the whole scene more than a passing resemblance to the Vietnam war!

Adding an extra layer of surreality was Millie, who three times came outside and “called the register” in a very official sounding voice, and made everyone reply “Here, Ms. Millie!” on hearing their name.

Millie eventually went to bed after I threw half a cup of Captain Morgan Navy Rum onto the fire, deciding that this was more than enough excitement for one night (must remember that for the next time we’re trying to get her to bed…)

We also went for a walk round Joyden’s Wood again on Saturday afternoon, although sadly the Lovely Melanie had to stay at home with AmberG, who has rather a nasty cough at the moment. The rest of us had a lovely time there however: kicking leaves, choosing walking sticks and whispering to horses. Millie also took quite a shine to Conny, as well. I’m not quite sure why – not that there’s anything wrong with taking a shine to Conny, of course, just that there was no obvious reason why.

On an even more perplexing note, we had a lot of TV interference Saturday evening, which we’ve never had before; at the same time Trev’s mobile got rather warm and then stopped working. Aliens? Some new and more vigorous form of firework that gives off an EMP? Coincidence? Who knows…

            In Oracle, listeners run on port 1521 as a default. As everyone knows this standard port

In Oracle, listeners run on port 1521 as a default. As everyone knows this standard port, an attack to your database will be performed on that port by a hacker. Changing this default port will make your database more secure. Yes, a hacker still may find your database port by scanning all ports respectively but this action (port scanning) will be detected by your IDS (intrusion-detection system) or IPS (intrusion prevention system) and you will be able to take required actions.

Here are the steps to change your default oracle listener port:

Step 1: Create A Listener On A New Port

* Find your listener.ora file which resides under $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/ .This file is responsible for holding definitions of your listeners.
Locate your current listener definition and change the port. For example I choose port 1645 for my database:

my_listener  =
(DESCRIPTION_LIST =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <my_host>)(PORT = 1645))
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC0))
)
)

* Now add a tnsnames entry to your tnsnames.ora file, which resides in the same directory as listener.ora file. This file is responsible for holding net service names and is used for resolving tns names.

listening_endpoint_1645 = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <my_host>)(PORT = 1645))

* Restart Your Listener With New Port:

$ lsnrctl stop  my_listener
$ lsnrctl start  my_listener

Step 2: Present Your New Listener To Your Instance

* Listeners have to be aware of services and instances running on that host so that they can forward client connection requests to relevant instances. For that reason, instances locate the listeners on that host and give them the information they need every 60 seconds. PMON (process monitor) process is responsible for carrying this information that instances supply to listeners. This is called dynamic service registration.

But how will the instance know where the listener is located? You have to tell instance where listener is located manually by setting the LOCAL_LISTENER parameter.

$ sqlplus / as sysdba
sql> alter system set LOCAL_LISTENER = ‘ listening_endpoint_1645′ scope=both;

* Now your instance is aware of location of the listener that is running. But it may take up to 60 seconds for PMON process to carry instance information to the listener. If you want this to happen immediately you can manually trigger service registration.

$ sqlplus / as sysdba
sql> alter system register ;

** Now your instance has registered with the listener. You can verify it by running the command below:

$ lsnrctl status my_listener

LSNRCTL for Linux: Version 10.2.0.4.0 – Production on 09-NOV-2009 11:55:21

Copyright (c) 1991, 2007, Oracle. All rights reserved.

Connecting to (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=<my_host>)(PORT=1645)))
STATUS of the LISTENER
————————
Alias                        my_listener
Version TNSLSNR for Linux: Version 10.2.0.4.0 – Production
Start Date                09-NOV-2009 11:52:55
Uptime                     0 days 0 hr. 2 min. 25 sec
Trace Level             off
Security                  ON: Local OS Authentication
SNMP                     OFF
Listener Parameter File   /opt/oracle/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db/network/admin/listener.ora
Listener Log File             /opt/oracle/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db/network/log/my_listener.log
Listening Endpoints Summary…
(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=<my_host>)(PORT=1645)))
(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=ipc)(KEY=EXTPROC0)))
Services Summary…
Service “katalogDBXDB” has 1 instance(s).
Instance “katalogDB”, status READY, has 1 handler(s) for this service…
Service “my_service” has 1 instance(s).
Instance “katalogDB”, status READY, has 1 handler(s) for this service…

The command completed successfully

* As you see, your listener knows which services and instances are available.

Step 3: Route All Your Clients To Your New Address

* Now your database is listening on port 1645 instead of 1521. All your clients have to adapt to new settings by changing their connection strings. They have to explicitly set the port to 1645. As a DBA it is your responsibility to coordinate the changes on clients.

Let me start from the beginning of this whole endeavor by explaining the entire process it took for me to get everything situated so that I can begin my internship.

I sent in my resume in late June and didn’t hear back from Volcom for almost a month; only to be told that my application was still in the process of review. Another month went by (as I continuously bombarded them with emails trying to check up on my application status) until they finally gave the approval. They also tell me that, in order for me to even be able to intern for them, I must be enrolled in a studio art intern program offered at UCI (STU ART 197). At the time, I had no idea what I had to do. So, I went to the Student Affairs office a week before school started, and they tell me that I need to find a ten-year studio art, resident, faculty member to oversee my internship (preferably someone whom I have taken his/her class and have a close association with). This was troubling for me because I don’t have that type of a relationship with any of the still-residing faculty. I sent out emails to different professors and asked some in person, all of whom either were not qualified as “ten-year resident faculty” or had declined my request.

Up until a week ago, everything was looking bleak until I heard back from Daniel Martinez in response to an email I sent him a few days prior. He readily agreed to oversee my internship and signed the “Internship Enrollment Authorization Form”. I’m glad because he was definitely my best choice since I had met him a few times last year through my membership in Catalyst. I felt relieved at the time, but I still had to get the form signed by the Department Chair which took another few days. By this time, it was getting extremely close the add/drop deadline, but I finally received the class and authorization codes and was able to enroll online in the course the last day before the deadline (Friday, October 9th).

With all of this done, I told Volcom the news, and they gave me a starting date, October 27th, though I might be able to start sooner (I hope).

This entire process just to sign up for a class took almost two weeks in which I was going back and forth between emails and going to the Studio Art Office how ever many times (I lost count). It was such a pain! The one thing that I didn’t really understand was why the students are required to find a faculty member to oversee them, instead of a faculty member simply being assigned to a student who needs one. It would make registration in this course easier and much faster.
