El guión de Reload es obra de Warren Ellis, guionista británico que destaca por sus intentos de revitalizar la “crisis” del cómic aportando guiones frescos y nuevos planteamientos. Su trabajo en Planetary, Stormwatch o Wolverine son sólo una muestra de sus más de treinta novelas gráficas.
En cuanto al dibujo de Reload, es obra de Paul Gulacy, un dibujante que lleva desde los años 70 en el mundo de la historieta.
A veces, una sola persona, con el entrenamiento adecuado, puede causar más daños que todo un ejército. Ese es el caso de la agente Kiva Reed, una de las armas más mortíferas del gobierno de los Estados Unidos que ha vuelto para atacar a quienes lo crearon, y su primer objetivo es asesinar al Presidente.

Reload: Chris Royal es un agente del Servicio Secreto que está a dos días de retirarse del servicio activo y en cuya vigilancia el Presidente de los USA es asesinado. Chris consigue tomar una foto de la asesina pero cuando comienza a investigar su identidad sus superiores le dicen que abandone su investigación y que ya han capturado a la asesina. Chris sigue la investigación por su cuenta y esta le lleva hasta una agente de Acción Directa/ ASI, Kiva Reed, que le dice que el gobierno está controlado por la Mafia y le pregunta si quiere ayudarle a deshacerse de los corruptos…
Tiene un buen dibujo y el guión es entretenido… pero tampoco se le puede pedir más. Se deja leer, es entretenido, tiene un buen dibujo y nada más.

I think the shootout from Heat is the unanimous choice for best shootout in movie history. It’s an extremely compelling scene. No music, just REALLY LOUD GUNSHOTS and great camerawork. Michael Mann, the director, had the guns fitted with microphones so that the sound of the gunshots felt louder and clearer. The reloading and tactical decisions the actors make are perfect.

I’d like to nominate the gunfight from A Better Tomorrow 2 as an honorable mention. Maybe the word greatest should be replaced with funniest. Random samurai swords are always the great equalizer.

BAGAIMANA SISTEM IN BERFUNGSI

Blaues Gefieder. Ein herrliches, tiefblau strahlendes Gefieder. Wie das letzte Blau des Tages, bevor es in die Dunkelheit der Nacht eingeht. Sie scheinen so viel zu wissen, so viel mehr… Er beginnt zu reden, aber ich höre nicht. Er redet wie ein Mensch zu mir… Etwas reißt mich, meinen Blick, trocken weg. Menschen. Einige, vielleicht ein Dutzend. Ich stehe, aber alles vibriert leicht. Um etwas Kaltes, Metallisches hat sich meine rechte Hand gewunden. Verwirrt schaue ich mich um. Es scheint so was wie ein Bus zu sein. Am Fenster zieht eine belanglose Landschaft vorbei. Wo war der Vogel? Ich überschaue kurz den Innenraum, aber keine Spur. Wieso bin ich hierhergekommen? Eine blecherne Stimme sagt Haltestellen an. Ich verstehe kein Wort, trotzdem beschließe ich auszusteigen. Egal wo. Der Bus hält, die Tür öffnet sich. Zu meinem Erstaunen sehe ich diesen blauen Vogel knapp zwei Meter vor mir auf einem kleinen Rasenstück sitzen. Zu meinem noch größeren Erstaunen sackt mein Fuß in den Boden ein, als ich aussteige. Mein Körper folgt ihm und wir, Fuß und Körper, versinken in dem scheinbar soliden Asphalt. Es gibt nicht den geringsten Widerstand. Wir fallen aber die Luft scheint mit uns zu fallen. Es gibt nicht den geringsten Hauch. Die Dunkelheit die dann folgt kommt wie ein Schlag. Wir verlieren jegliches Gefühl für Ort und Bewegung. Alles ist plötzlich still, in Ruhe. Als ich den sternenübersäten Himmel wiedersehe, merke ich, dass ich alleine bin. Mein Fuß hat es nicht geschafft.

Here’s what I think about my imix reload:

I’ve had my Imix for about a month now and it is a really nice controller. The controller in itself is made of plastic but of good quality.

Imix reload effects

If we look at the top right hand corner of our I mix reload we’ve got some effects knobs to be able to control effects on Deck A and B Then bellow we have some buttons to choose our effects.

Bellow our effect selector buttons we have some cue points recorder and selector, this is a really nice feature on our imix reload! It allows you to record a cue point and then to play it.

Imix reload looping

With the loop button on our imix reload you can create some loops on the fly! To the right of our loop button you will be able to either get you loop bigger or shorter!

Imix reload Jog

This is my favorite feature! Why? Because our jog is touch sensitive. Put your hand on the platter and you will be in scratch mode (the music stops), put your hand on the corner of the jog wheel you will be in pitch bend mode. Isn’t this cool.

I mix reload sync feature

Beatmatch automatically your songs together (or beat match if you prefer).

Imix reload cue/play/pause

On our imix they are very nice because they can be used instantaneously with our software (traktor, deckadance), now latency!

Our crossfader is very soft and very interactive, it is really awesome and almost made for the scratch DJ

I will not develop to much on our software, as I will do another article on Deckadance LE and Traktor. Our imix reload comes with Deckadance and Traktor !

To conclude

Our Imix reload is a great controller and I advise all the people to go out and check it out, it is for sure a safe buy. Before buying it I tried the VCI-100, and I have to say our Imix reload is just as good and just as nice as our VCI-100. Go out and check it out people.

La mayoría de los fans antiguos de la banda, opinan que está se vendió por dejar de hacer thrash metal (su género inicial) para comercializarse. Muchos de los fans nuevos comenzaron escuchando la banda por discos como “Load” “Reload” “St. Anger” o el famoso “Black album“.

Metallica: ¿Paso a ser una banda comercial?

Para mi Metallica siempre fue una banda comercial, si no lo fuera, no hubiera sacado sus discos a la venta. Si hicieron música y publicaron sus discos, lo hicieron para vender, porque si quisieran hacer música “por amor al arte” no publicarían sus discos en venta.

Ahora, pónganse en su lugar. Si a ustedes les darían la posibilidad de ganar más dinero cambiando su estilo de música para que le llegue mas a la gente. ¿Qué harían?, no creo que digan que no tan fácilmente.

Las bandas no viven de sus fans, viven del dinero que les traen. Y ese modelo de banda de metal que da todo por sus fans y no le importa el dinero, no existe.

No estoy defendiendo a Metallica, y a pesar de que yo también soy un fan que no le gusto muchas de las cosas que hicieron, los entiendo.

Antes y después…

Algunos dicen que Metallica murió en “…And justice for all“, otros dicen que murió en el “Black album“.

En mi opinión, los primeros 4 discos de Metallica fueron excelentes, luego llego el “Black album” y también, me pareció un excelente disco, pero distinto a los demás.

Luego cayeron una ola de discos que no parecía que fuese Metallica, pero en fin, puedo escuchar una canción de “Load” o “Reload” sin pensar “¡Que ~#@|@ es esto!“, a pesar de que no era eso lo que queríamos, no podemos decir que es malo!.

El “St. Anger” no me gusto para nada y me parece que musicalmente es muy malo, puro ruido (en mi opinión).

Por último vino el “Death Magnetic” que a mi parecer, es thrash y el mejor álbum después del “Black Album“. ¿Habrá sido un intento por recuperar los fans viejos perdidos? Tal vez.

Lo cierto es que Metallica me sigue gustando y los primeros discos que sacaron siguen estando y los podemos seguir escuchando.

Nadie nos obliga a escuchar el “St. Anger“, aunque entiendo la decepción de los demás fans.

В пайтоне есть удобная функция reload(), которая позволяет перезагрузить модуль в таблицу модулей. Т.е. если модуль уже был загружен ранее, и нужно его перезагрузить из файла, нужно пользоваться этой функцией.
Однако, не все умеют её правильно использовать.

Данная функция проста как 2 пальца. Она принимает 1 аргумент – модуль. Для начала, хочется немного рассказать как получить “модуль” в “полевых” условиях.

It’s excellent.It was done with an iFrame embedded map from www.wayfaring.com, a very cool mapping site. WordPress.com, alas, does not support iFrame, nor does it have the required ’special relationship’ with Wayfaring.. eh hem… hint hint.

Here’s what I have instead:

Let me explain:

Things I like about Senator Clinton’s Wayfaring map:

1. It doesn’t start with an obscure detailed satellite view, which ends up looking messy graphically. Instead it’s just a nice clean world map.

2. The icons are homemade but there aren’t a million different kinds – just one each for past trips, current location, and future trips. One map, one purpose. With a legend on the side.

3. It has all of her travel routes in various countries and regions, and then you click on one of the seals for a more detailed view with a numbered tour of her stops.

4. (This one is big) When you click on a stop, the little white bubble pops up to tell you more and show you videos and photos… and the window resizes to fit the bubble, instead of the white bubble being out of the range of the little embedded map and you can’t read it or pan over the map anymore and you basically have to stop using it and reload the page. That’s huge.

Mapping options I have tried in this blog:

1. Platial Map Widget: located towards the bottom of my sidebar. Why is it at the bottom? Because it’s ugly. I don’t like using the interface at all. If you only have one spot marked on your map, as we do now, it zooms in so that you have no idea where on Earth you are. And, I understand self-promotion, but the huge ‘Platial’ label at the top reads as though that is the title of my map. Vote: No.

2. Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator Maps: Endless beautiful graphic options, of course. Zero interactivity. This is fine for this post… or for my little changeable world map at the top of the sidebar highlighting an area or a large region, but it’s of no use for mapping the trip. Vote: No.

3. Embedded Google Map: Straight from My Maps in Google, you can embed a map with an iFrame code that WordPress.com reads because of their ‘special relationship’ with Google Maps. This is probably the best option so far. You can save your maps in your account, and come back and change them without having to update the embed code. You can change the icons and do some of the nice path and route things that are in Secretary Clinton’s map. At the moment, it’s even nudging the map around when a white bubble pops up so that you can read the whole thing. The question will be if that still works once the bubbles have more info in them. I’ll have to update this post when I find out. Vote: Maybe.

Another thing I haven’t tried yet is making all the maps in Google Earth, exporting the kml file to Google Maps, and embedding the link. I briefly did a test run, and the transition from Google Earth to Maps lost all my handmade icons. That ticked me off so much that I stopped. I’ll let you know if I pick it up again in the future.

How To Reload Your BB Operating System.
If you’re having problems with your BlackBerry Storm, they may be software related. In some cases, the problems can be easily resolved by reloading an application, or changing settings, but in other cases, there are more serious problems which require more drastic measures. Under these circumstances, it may help to reload the operating system on the phone. The following will provide the steps on how to easily do this.

1. Before you do anything, back up your BlackBerry device. Open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and select Backup and Restore. On the next screen select Backup and perform a full backup of your device data. Note where the backup file is located (usually in the Documents folder). Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and leave your device plugged in.
2. Open Windows Explorer and go to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\ and open the Loader.exe file. In Vista 64-bit computers, the file is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. Depending on your computer’s settings, you may need to show hidden folders (under File > Options for Windows XP or Organize > Folder and Search Options in Windows Vista).
3. After the device configuration has been retrieved, you will be on the Device Application Selection page. You may scroll through the list to ensure all the applications you want are selected. You can also de-select any applications you don’t use to save space. Click Next.
4. On the next page, click on the Advanced button. Ensure that both boxes (Delete all application data and Delete all currently installed applications) are checked. Click Next.
5. Proceed with the OS reinstall. Note that this process may take 10-30 minutes (usually ~10 minutes). Do not disconnect the device.
6. Once the process is complete, re-open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Select Backup and Restore and open the Restore application. Select the file to restore (Backup-(Year-Month-Day).ipd) and click open. Follow the steps to restore your device.
7. Re-enable your device connection by going to Manage Connections and turn on your Mobile Network. Re-download any missing applications and re-connect to any BlueTooth devices and you’re done.

That’s it. You should now be back up and running. Note that this process will delete all your third party applications, hence why you need to redownload any missing applications. I also recommend pulling your battery out for 15-30 seconds after this process is complete to ensure the device is running smooth.

I hope this helps those of you looking for a complete and easy to follow set of steps for reloading your operating system. This process typically takes ~30-40 minutes to complete.
