estava dando uma vasculhada em uns emails antigos e achei uma mensagem que havia enviado para uma lista de discussão de dot.net sobre como remover itens de uma coleção do tipo List<T>.

Se tentarmos remover um item de uma lista enquanto estivermos iterando sobre a mesma utilizando o foreach, uma exceção será lançada, por exemplo:

lista = new List<string>();

lista.Add(“a”);

lista.Add(“b”);

lista.Add(“c”);

foreach (string s in lista)

lista.Remove(s);

O código acima lançará uma exceção pois estamos removendo um item da coleção enquanto estamos iterando sobre a mesma.

Uma alternativa é utilizar o código abaixo que utiliza o método ForEach da classe List<> e o conceito de delegates. Podemos pensar num delegate como sendo um ponteiro de função:

lista.Add(“b”);

lista.Add(“c”);

lista.ForEach(Action);

É possível utilizar ainda um delegate anônimo, aonde não precisaríamos definir o método Action e o código do mesmo seria inserido inline, mas acho que essa solução prejudica a legibilidade, vejamos:

Vale a pena lembrar que ainda existem, pelo menos, duas formas de se conseguir o mesmo objetivo. Uma utilizando goto, que é altamente condenado, mas que nesse caso não vejo tantos problemas:

Adicionei no projeto Refactoring-scripts um novo script: o remove-temps. Ele apenas busca recursivamente em um diretório por arquivos temporários e os elimina. Como é útil rodar antes de comitar, adicionei a opção -g, ou –git, que executa o comando “git rm” para todos os arquivos temporários, sendo que para utilizar esta opção, deve-se estar na diretório root do projeto e os arquivos ainda devem existir.

Jijiji… estoy cada vez más alucinado.

Como comentaba en una entrada anterior, instalé Karmic Koala, la última versión de Ubuntu hasta el momento.  Se ve que el pingüino es muy bueno, porque cuando instaló el GRUB, éste me devolvió Windows 7.

Windows 7, en cambio, está ofendidísimo, rebelde podría decirse, y para llevarme la contra, después de un par de veces de uso luego de haber vuelto, genera una especie de Halt del sistema que deja todo congelado.  Y juro solemnemente que no toqué nada extra para provocar ese fallo.

Primero pensé en instalar una máquina virtual con VMware, o similar… pero luego me dije: Tengo que estar enfermo!  Tener una máquina nueva y bajarle el rendimiento a la mitad (o menos) corriendo Windows 7 sobre Linux?  Ni en pedo!

Pensé en cambiarlo por XP, sistema que vengo usando (casi) felizmente desde hace años, pero luego me pregunté: con qué objeto?  Para seguir perpetuando un círculo vicioso?  Así que bien, el próximo paso es curar esa rebeldía de una manera expeditiva: voy a eliminar al maldito bastardo!  Dejar solamente Linux, en un disco conveniente y ordenadamente particionado.

Claro que el proceso no parece ser tan simple.  Sacar Windows y dejar sólo Linux, puede no ser trivial en absoluto.  Incluso hay foros en que parte de las respuestas comienzan con un “y para qué querés sacar Windows?”.  Al principio de mi investigación al respecto no podía creerlo; con lo frecuentemente fanática que es la comunidad pingüinesca, pensé que cualquiera que hiciera un comentario al respecto sería recibido como el retorno del hijo pródigo, pero no.  Pronto comprendí por qué.

En mi caso hay  cinco particiones (numeradas) repartidas por todo el disco, de las que las dos primeras y la última pertenecen a Windows 7.  GRUB, por su parte, utiliza esa numeración para arrancar.

Si me limitara a borrar las particiones asociadas a Windows sin más, dejaría de funcionar el otro bicho, ya que cambiaría la numeración y GRUB no puede darse cuenta de lo que ha cambiado (maldito programa sin imaginación ).  Así que hay que aprender a configurar GRUB.  Aunque ahora con el tema de GRUB versión 2, parece ser que con sólo un comando “update-grub” se soluciona todo.  Pero todavía estoy tratando de entender todo el asunto, así que tomá todos mis comentarios como una aproximación medianamente informada, y esta entrada completa como una especie de “hablar en voz alta” para tratar de clarificar las ideas.

Por otra parte, aunque es posible (y en este caso necesario) reconfigurar GRUB, no me gustaría dejar toda la información y las particiones desparramadas por todo lo largo y ancho del disco duro, ya que quedaría una partición marcada “/home” al inicio, con un tamaño aproximado de la mitad de la capacidad del disco, seguida por la partición de arranque  “/“  y por  “/swap” en el otro casi medio disco, para terminar con una zona de unos pocos gigas sin asignar(?!).  Por un lado es demasiado desprolijo, se mire por donde se mire.  Por el otro, además de desperdiciar un montón de gigas en una partición tan grande, hago trabajar el disco innecesariamente.

Así que bien, qué hacer?  Hay multitudes de opciones…

Podría:

Arrancar el latop, de ahora en más LC (forma corta de Lucilio Clodomiro) con el LiveCD de Ubuntu.

Correr el programa GParted (desde el LiveCD) y achicar la partición de Ubuntu del disco duro de  LC.

Con la partición reduciada, borrar las particiones NTFS y dejar el espacio sin asignar.  Luego copiar la partición de Ubuntu y pegarla al inicio, en ese espacio vacío.  Borrar la antigua partición de Ubuntu, borrar la partición de Swap, y crear  otra nueva contigua a la nueva de Ubuntu.  La mayoría de la capacidad del disco de LC que queda sin asignar, formatearla como una partición ext4 y marcarla como “/home“. Luego de eso, reconfigurar GRUB.

Otra opción es achicar la partición de Ubuntu (digamos a unos 20 ó 30  GB, tamaño más que razonable para instalar los programas) y luego de leer el manual correspondiente, correr el programa PartImage y hacer una imagen de esa partición en un disco externo.  Luego hay que formatear todo el disco, crear una partición de 20 GB, más una de Swap, más una extendida y copiar la imagen hecha con PartImage a la primera partición y utilizar la otra para datos.  Aunque este caso concreto no es tan buena solución, ya que Koala utiliza una partición ext4 por defecto, que no puede ser manejada por PartImage.  Así que debería encontrar otro programa para copiar la partición, aunque de momento no sé cuál.

Luego de hecho todo eso y también previa lectura del manual, modificar el GRUB para que arranque con Linux y ya.

El tema es, y recién estoy terminando de asimilarlo, que todo esto lleva bastante tiempo y planificación y no hay garantías absolutas de que funcione.  Los trabajos con particiones son lentos y riesgosos, a pesar de que los programas sean buenos y confiables.

Así que bien, si querés sacar Windows y dejar sólo Ubuntu, y querés que tu disco duro quede medianamente ordenado, lo mejor que podés hacer, aunque te parezca increíble, es respaldar tus datos, documentos, videos, música y demás, e instalar Ubuntu de cero, formateando y particionando el disco tal como vos querés que quede.  La contra, claro está, es que tenés que volver a instalar TODA la base de programas de Linux, más sus actualizaciones, más las configuraciones.  Y eso también es un proceso bastante largo y tedioso.

Sea como sea, te va a llevar un par de días (dependiendo de tu velocidad de conexión).

Voy a seguir investigando, a ver si encuentro una alternativa viable al PartImage.  No me seduce tanto la idea de tener que volver a instalar los cosetentillones de cosas que ya hice.  Quizás con el APTonCD

The last form of extensions that I’m going to mention is Bonding Weaves. These are very similar to clip in extensions; you cut a length of human hair to fit your head shape. The extensions are then glued to your head just below the parting. You can get the glue to do this from most hair and wig stores. This form of hair extension is safe to do at home and the removal of these hair extensions can also be done at home as the remover can also be purchased from the same stores as the glue. You should make sure you have the remover before you put the extensions in so you can guarantee you can get them out when needed.

There are many other forms of hair extensions, but the ones mentioned above are the most common and the ones you are most likely to come across when searching for the right type for you.

I’ve been using the same CVS brand eye makeup remover for a while now, and to be honest I’m not entirely sure why… it leaves the area around my eye feeling very oily and it doesn’t even do that good a job of getting rid of my makeup (especially waterproof!). I’d pick Garnier out of these two, mainly because of the fact that I don’t wear waterproof makeup all that often and I don’t want to have to buy a new packet of wipes every ten days. Also, I’m poor, and Garnier is slightly cheaper. Hooray for cheaper alternatives!

I found that holding the cotton pad soaked with Etude House Mascara Remover for 10 seconds is not enough. I needed at least 20 seconds with a very gentle pat (do not rub your eyes too harsh, EVER!) before all of my eye makeup were completely removed. It did not feel too oily and my eyes were squeaky cleaned. There was not any black residue from mascara and eyeliner found after removal. Although the name states mascara, it removes my eyeliner way better than mascara , even the waterproof one.

I have one grip though about Etude House Mascara Remover. It did not perform as well as it claimed to be in removing waterproof mascara. I had a tough time removing my waterproof Covergirl Lash Blast. The mascara came off eventually, but it took longer than when I used L’Oreal eye makeup remover. Other than that, this eye makeup remover performs a good job .

Etude House Mascara Remover has a slight flowery smell. I do not have problem with it as the smell is not too overwhelming. For those who have sensitive eyes, fret not, this eye makeup remover is pretty gentle. I have sensitive eyes, slightly strong chemicals will cause my eyes burning. Yet, after about a month using Etude House Mascara Remover, I never experienced any, so a big yay for that

Will I repurchase? I think I will stick to L’Oreal eye makeup remover as I tend to use waterproof mascara, but it is otherwise, I’d recommend to get this one.
