Gas Hot Water heaters

Why do my Polite light keep going out ?
1. Check to see if the gas is on at the Water Heater and out side meter (easy over look)
2. Could be a bad thermo coupling
3. Thermostat control valve malfunctioning
4. If the Hot Water Heater flue pipeis connected to the same main flue pipe
That the furnace is hook to. When the furnace kicks on
It can blow out the polite light with back pressure.
5. Water heater in a very hot place. This is some thing that happens
in some parts of Texas like Houston. Where the hot water heater are install
In the attic. The attic can get very hot so hot that it well shut off the
hot water heater. The newer Hot Water Heaters that they have out
Today have a safety device that will cut off the hot water heater completely
Just in case it over heats for your safety. The temperatures in the attic can easy
Assed the 200 or more degrees and the water heater will shut down at around 160 Degrees.
Some hot water heater Manufacture will tell you these hot water heater are not design for the
Attic. But luck has it that some Manufacture will send you out a part that will over ride the attic
Heat and keep your hot water heater functioning. If you have this problem look on the side of your
Hot Water Heater and get the 1-800 Number give them a call and the manufactory will help you.

Not Getting enough hot water
1. Dip tub inside Hot Water Heater is broken off.
2. Thermostat control valve malfunctioning
3. Very old water heater with calcium built up inside (replace Water Heater)

Hot Water Heater making Loud popping Noise
1. To much calcium built in hot water heater
( You can flush the Hot Water Heater out, But that not a guarantee fix
And can be a difficult job. Save Time have it replace)

I can feel an important change occurring in how I am thinking and how I am feeling. Consequently I

I can feel an important change occurring in how I am thinking and how I am feeling. Consequently I think that is likely to flow through in my posting here. So let me tackle this head on and try and explain where I am at.

I still desperately miss Abigail. She is still a huge part of my thinking. I am still grieving and will be forever probably. But Abigail is not the only part of my thinking. More than that, I am able to see that she isn’t the only factor to determine our future. First, I can now see that we DO have a future. But also we do have choices.

Infertility and Abigail’s death are not simply things that have to determine the rest of our lives. They will always have a major influence but don’t have to be the only influence. Our family will always have an Abigail-shaped-hole in it. But around that hole we can continue to build our beautiful family. A garden can grow in the ruin. Flesh can grow over the wound – even a scar can be beautiful.

And so we come to the place where my wife and I are actively considering adoption. This is a massive milestone for us. It feels much more positive than the serious consideration we gave to IVF before ruling it out. This is for a few reasons. First, I considered adoption a great thing to do long before we knew about our infertility problems. Second, we could have gone through several cycles of IVF for nothing – whilst there is always the chance we could fail the assessment process that would seem unlikely. Third, with adoption you are doing a wonderful thing for a child or baby. In a way the harder the process of adaption (ie the worse conditions the child comes from) the greater a transformation you are achieving for them. Finally, at the heart of this is unconditional love – and that is at the heart of the Christian faith too. God loves us unconditionally and adopts us into his family! God redeems our lives and we could by taking a child into our family redeem that child’s childhood and family situation. That is wonderful.

For all these reasons I feel much more positive about adoption than I ever did about IVF. Yes it would be wonderful to see my wife pregnant again, to see a baby born and to see the family resemblance in that baby. But, it would be wonderful to adopt in a different way. It would be wonderful to get to understand the culture that that child came from and incorporate some of that into our family. It would be wonderful to meet our child for the first time and to bring that child home. It would be wonderful to know that we loved that child because that child was unique and precious in its own right and not just because it shared my DNA. It would be wonderful to know that this child was special and precious in its own right and we had an opportunity to celebrate that with our lives unconditionally. And whilst that is valid completely and of itself there is also a sense in which that is one of the ways God could redeem our previous suffering. Don’t get me wrong – an adopted child could never replace Abigail (that would be an insult to Abigail and to the child in question!) but…

… our suffering of infertility and Abigail’s death can be redeemed by allowing God to channel that suffering into the journey of adoption. I hope that makes sense.

Here are some of the issues that are becoming clear to us:

- we are not looking to replace Abigail – she is unique and irreplaceable

- we are not wanting to adopt because we always wanted 2.4 children – ideals have long since gone out of the window

- we could be complete as a family of 4 (1 in heaven) but we do have capacity in our family to love another child and would love to do that

- first and foremost are the interests of the child we would be adopting – what is best for them? This is the most important thing of all. Our role would be to love them completely and unconditionally – for better for worse

- we would love our son to have a brother or sister here not just for what remains of his childhood but also for the rest of his life. The impact on him of adoption (destination and journey) is a key factor in our thinking – we do not want our stress levels to hurt him too much for example. But we do see the benefits to outweigh the difficulties

- we do know that the time (4-5 years) and cost (financial and emotional) of this journey are significant. We know that it will be stressful, very stressful at times. We know that the assessment process will be thorough and probably upsetting at some points. We know that we cannot guarantee the result – we could be rejected.

- but, we do think we are good parents to our son and we do think we have a huge amount to offer a prospective adopted child as a family.

- we need to decide on domestic versus international adoption. For several reasons international is probably the way we will go. I may post on this later. But we need to explore both so we make an educated decision.

So, yes we are considering adoption. It is only after Abigail’s first anniversary that we could have contemplated adopting in these terms.

Eminem is believed to have approached Simon Cowell to ask if he can replace one of the X Factor judges on the panel, because they aren’t “global” like he is.

The rapper apparently thinks that the show needs “platinum-selling stars” rather than mentors Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.

Eminem reportedly said: “No disrespect to the current judges but you need people who are global platinum-selling stars.

“You need to prepare contestants for what it is really like out there, and what sort of pressure you are going to be under.”

The 37-year-old apparently added that “average” singers come out of shows like The X Factor, but if he and Dr Dre sat on the panel, a hip-hop superstar would be born.

A top-selling Toyota Camry is on display in a Richmond, Va., showroom. Toyota Motor Corp. will replace accelerator pedals on 3.8 million recalled vehicles in the U.S. to address potential problems with the pedals becoming jammed by the floor mats.(Steve Helber/Associated Press)

Toyota Motor Corp. will replace gas pedals on 3.8 million recalled vehicles in the United States to address problems with sudden acceleration or the pedal becoming stuck in the floor mat, The Associated Press has learned.

As a temporary step, Toyota will have dealers shorten the length of the gas pedals beginning in January while the company develops replacement pedals for their vehicles, the Transportation Department said in a statement provided to the AP.

New pedals will be available beginning in April, and as a precaution some vehicles will have brake override systems installed that cut engine power if the accelerator and brake pedals are pressed at the same time.

Toyota, the world’s largest automaker, was expected to provide more details Wednesday on the fix. The Japanese automaker announced the massive recall in late September and told owners to remove the driver’s side floor mats to prevent the gas pedal from potentially becoming jammed.

Toyota Canada has not yet announced if it will follow suit in replacing the gas pedals, but the Canadian subsidiary of the Japanese automaker in September did follow the U.S. in issuing a recall for the problematic floor mats.

Popular vehicles such as the Toyota Camry, the top-selling passenger car in America, and the Toyota Prius, the best-selling gas-electric hybrid, are part of the recall. It includes the 2007-10 model year Camry, 2005-10 Toyota Avalon, 2004-09 Prius, 2005-10 Toyota Tacoma, 2007-10 Toyota Tundra, 2007-10 Lexus ES350 and 2006-10 Lexus IS250/350.

On Tuesday, Toyota announced a recall of 110,000 Tundra trucks from the 2000-03 model years to address excessive rust on the vehicle’s frame.

4 died after pedal became stuck

The recall involving the accelerators was Toyota’s largest in the U.S. It was prompted by a high-speed crash in August involving a 2009 Lexus ES350 that killed a California Highway Patrol officer and three members of his family near San Diego.

The Lexus hit speeds exceeding 190 km/h, struck a sport utility vehicle, launched off an embankment, rolled several times and burst into flames.

Investigators with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration determined that a rubber all-weather floor mat found in the wreckage was slightly longer than the mat that belonged in the vehicle, and could have snared or covered the accelerator pedal.

The U.S. government has attributed at least five deaths and two injuries to floor mat-related unintended acceleration in the Toyota vehicles and has received reports of more than 100 incidents in which the accelerator may have become stuck.

A Massachusetts-based safety consultant who has investigated the Toyota cases, however, has found more than 2,000 incidents involving 16 deaths and 243 injuries potentially tied to the Toyota gas pedals.

To fix the problem, Transportation officials said dealers will shorten the length of the accelerator pedal on the recalled vehicles and in some cases remove foam from beneath the carpeting near the pedal.

They said owners of the ES350, Camry and Avalon would be the first to receive notification because the vehicles are believed to have the highest risk for pedal entrapment.

With the unfortunate loss of Al Harris and Aaron Kampman for the season following the win over San F

With the unfortunate loss of Al Harris and Aaron Kampman for the season following the win over San Francisco, changes are going to have to be made moving forward to continue playing at the level we were at. Right now, more than ever, is when experienced coordinators with good football minds earn their paycheck. What sort of changes might we see out of Dom Capers?

Replacing Aaron Kampman:

Replacing Aaron might be easier than fans realize. This is one place where the 3-4 scheme really shines. The fluidity of the scheme allows for very different player types to be successful in the outside linebacker role, bringing different skill sets to the table. Many of the players that play OLB have to be hidden by scheme to some degree, and Kampman was no different. Clay is one of the rare 3-4 OLB’s that seems equally at home in virtually any role.

It was obvious that one of the places that Kampman was schematically hidden was in pass coverage. He dropped on occasion, but generally that was limited to little zone drops. He was not left in trail technique coverage on fast TE’s splitting the seam, and did not move over to press and bracket cover a WR. This is in very sharp contrast to Clay Matthews, who is trusted to do all of these tasks.

Kampman was also helped rushing the passer both by occasionally playing a 3-3-5 defense that put his hand in the dirt, and by overall maintaining a consistent launch point without an excess of twisting and stunting. In other words, things that he has been comfortable with. It has helped, though it has limited some of the overall defensive options.

Replacing Kampman most likely will be rookie Brad Jones, though Brady Poppinga and Jeremy Thompson could see time as well. Brad couldn’t be more different than Kampman, which could work to Dom’s advantage in a very big way. Hopefully this is where Dom Capers separates himself from former DC Bob Sanders. Brad is not the kind of player that can or should be plugged in to do the tasks that Kampman did the same way he did them. But on the flipside, he does open up a lot of things that were not previously possible.

Brad Jones is extremely fast and agile, and is especially noted for his ability to drop into coverage. Like Clay he can drop extremely deep from the 3-4 OLB position, and has the ability to stay with WR’s and TE’s, at least when he has some help. Dom almost surely will be much more comfortable with him in coverage, and won’t be consistently making an effort to have him rush the passer, limiting his coverage to the bare minimum as he was with Kampman. Of course the effect of this will be to enable more blitzing/zone blitzing. Clay will likely get to rush more, but I think that the biggest beneficiaries will be the ILB’s, I suspect that we will see them rush a good bit more.

Having been a 3-4 OLB, Brad likewise was not married to a small little plot of land on the line most of his career. I suspect that his launch point will not be as rigid as Kampman’s was, and be more like Clay, who moves around in the formation a great deal. This is greatly aided by the defensive line; they are playing at a level where the OLB’s don’t have to be extra DE’s on run plays, freeing the OLB’s up to shut down any attempts to bounce run plays outside, or pursue the tackle quickly. Every one of our top 4 defensive lineman can hold his ground in the face of a double team. Brad’s quickness will allow Dom to move him around a bit to probe for pass rushing weaknesses, and to allow for more stunting and combo rushing, where instead of an every man for himself, the LDE (typically Jolly) attempts to open a lane for the OLB moreso than plow through himself. The faster the OLB, the more effective that is.

While changes will be necessary, changes can be made to insert Brad Jones into the lineup without a big downgrade in defensive quality. Brad has a different skill set and will have to be used a different way, but the overall effect should hopefully be minimized. however it may change the way things “look”.

Replacing Al Harris:

This should almost be rephrased “replacing Tramon Williams”. Replacing Al should be the easy part, plug in Tramon, but replacing Tramon will be a task.

Dom can go two completely different directions with this. He can do exactly what Bob Sanders did, and literally replace Al with Tramon, placing him at the RCB spot over the split end on the sideline, or he can take the approach to keep Tramon doing what he has been doing, at least in nickle+ defense, only moving him over to Al’s spot on base defense. Either option should be equally viable, the route chosen will largely depend on how Dom adjusts to cope with the changes.

Al’s position at RCB is unique in that the route tree used by most teams is somewhat more limited. Few QB’s roll to their left. The timing of read progressions and pass patterns cuts out a good amount of intermediate routes, and if the QB turns to watch his split end, he is also watching his best pass protector, turning his back on some of his worst.

Though our defense plays all sorts of different coverages, if you had to group them into classifications, Al would be more of a man guy, Tramon more of a zone guy, and Woodson more of a rover. Al played the least amount of underneath zone of the 3. When rolling a S into the box or forward out wide, and using a CB as a S in a cover-2, 3, or 4, (forms of sky and cloud coverage), Al was typically a bail corner covering a deep zone, with LB’s or S’s covering underneath. Tramon bails much less, instead if one corner is used in the short zones more than others, Tramon is that guy. Whereas Woodson does a little of everything, generally in an effort to have him where the offense most wants to go.

When Tramon did fill in for Al last season, he did an excellent job basically doing Al’s job. In fact there seemed to be some differences where we might actually have had better pass defense, as we did run a little more zone during that time, not necessarily becasue Tramon is better in zone, but because he seems at home doing either, whereas Al definitely (at least in Sanders’ defense) was more at home in man.

One thing that we will likely see, with the hopeful return of Chillar soon, and Jones at OLB, is return to sparse dime defense. Prior to Chillar’s injury Green Bay rarely ran dime defense, even agaisnt 4-5 WR sets. The 4th CB did not see the field a whole lot.

If we do put Tramon in Al’s spot and replace Tramon, likely an increased amount of LB/S bracketing will be required. Which could mean less play in the box by Bigby and more zone drops by the LOLB. If we replace Al’s spot and keep Tramon in his, we are probably looking at 2 different players dedicated to the sideline, either CB shallow S deep, or CB deep S/LB shallow in distinct zones.

Whichever direction Dom goes, replacing Al wil surely stress our secondary.

The Potential Positives:

While the negatives of these injuries are obvious, some positives may be taken away.

Tramon will be a free agent again next year. This year he played for just over the tender amount. This is his time to grab hold of the starting job for good (even if Al returns, I don’t think that he will return as a starter). This gives Ted and his staff 6 games to determine just how much Tramon is worth, and if he is a viable starter. I’d like to think, if he makes the most of this situation that Ted will not tag him again, instead giving him a full starting CB contract while his value is still on the low end of starting CB’s.

It also gives Ted a chance to evaluate Bush as a defensive back. I doubt that he gets another chance. He’s been developing too long, this is a seize the moment or go away couple of games for him. If he can hold his own as the 3rd CB, he’ll likely stick. If someone else is given a shot after he is, because he didn’t seize the job, I suspect that this will be his last year. He have replacements at ST gunner now; his hold on a roster spot is much more tenuous than it has been.

With free agency on the horizon for Kampman, few Packer fans seriously thought that he would return to the team. The prevailing though being that he would be franchise tagged and traded (similar to Corey Williams) to a team that runs a 4-3 defense. With this injury he now has very little trade value and almost surely will not be franchised, chances are he simply leaves as a free agent.

This means that Kampman will need to be replaced long term this offseason. That task is much easier if Brad Jones (or Jeremy Thompson/Brady Poppinga) shows that they belong on the field this season, and that they are the long term solution. If not I suspect that free agency and/or higher draft picks will be used to fill this spot.

Young guys stepping up to fill an injury void and impressing is one of the primary ways that players become full time starters in this league. Lets keep our fingers crossed that we have the good fortune of that occurring at both spots for us. The players behind our lost starters are certainly physically talented enough to do so, it remains to be seen thather they put it all together.

Monday morning and here we are again looking at the box scores of ND, Purdue and IU. As another sad season of college football in the state of Indiana ends, less Butler, which has enjoyed great gridiron success, fans of the Big 4 IU-Purdue-ND and Ball State look to the hallowed halls of Hoop Hysteria in need of a quick fix called success.

ND and their overhyped coach…Hi My Name is…..Charlie “I am a good person” Weis lost to another top 10 football program on Saturday evening. Memo to Lou Holtz, I know ND is still paying you, but please do not ever go on National TV and say that they will play in the BCS Championship game as long as the Michelin man is patrolling the sidelines.

Dave Wannstedt, who has been compared to other great college coaches, Bear Bryant, Woody Hayes, Amos Alonzo Stagg….Sorry I was carried away. This same Dave was fired in Chicago and Miami as a Pro football flop. Now maybe the college game is more to his liking, however Dave is only 34-24 as the headman at Pitt. Nevertheless, how Pitt is playing is how the pundits assumed ND would play this year with the Jimmy and the man being in charge in South Bend.

Interestingly Dave and Charlie made their college debuts against one another in 2005 with ND winning big, but since that time Dave’s Pitt team has become more competitive and ND has become increasingly worse. Pitt has gone 5-6;6-6;5-7;9-4 and currently 9-1; ND has done the opposite under CW against lesser competition going 9-3 and 10-3 with Ty Willingham’s recruits and 3-9;7-6;and 6-4 with his own superstar recruits. Enough Said!

IU….Ohhhh what a bad team….Ben Chappell, Academic All American, I am sure he is great young man and I wish him well in whatever he chooses to do I life, but as a QB, he is bad. I applaud Bill Lynch, the same Bill Lynch that lost 70-0 to KSU in 2000, for being patient with Edward Wright Baker and allowing him to stay in redshirt status so we can at least see him do some great things over the next four years.

IU’s defense, which many non-fans will lament for giving up too many big plays, has been decent for the most part, IU defense has recorded 16 interceptions that ranks in the top 10 nationally ahead #2 Alabama and #5 Cincinnati! The rank #2 nationally in total unassisted tackles, #53 in sacks and #8 nationally in turnover margin. IU again is not a strong team statistically against the pass or run but opportunistic. If you do not have Alabama or Texas talent on the defensive side of the ball then your kids have to be in a position to capitalize on the others team’s miscues AKA interceptions, fumbles!

IU’s Defense has accomplished the goal of capitalizing on the miscues and missteps of Iowa, Northwestern, Michigan, Wisconsin and Penn State. The offense on the other hand has been pathetic. Ben Chappell is terrible at red zone reads; the offensive line cannot grind it out and get a tough 2 or 3 yards when needed. Demarlo Belcher, Tandon Doss, Darius Willis, Mitchell Evans and Max Demond have been bright spots on the offensive side of the ball, but that is where it stops!

Indiana ranks #83 in Red Zone offense, while Ben has tossed 15 touchdowns he has also given up 13 interceptions.

I am calling for a change on the sidelines @ Indiana and Notre Dame. I will give a pass to Ball State and Purdue for having new coaches. Purdue has actually looked better as the season has progressed. Boiler fans, be patient with Coach Hope, I think he is the right person for the job. He beat Michigan and Ohio State in the same year.

You knew them even before I was born.

My indulgence, my sloth, my ignorance,

the more I know, the more I rebel against You.

There was no fear in my eye, no fear in my heart.

I’m practically belittling a graceful God, for Your gracefulness.

How doomed am I?

Every day, every night, I searched up and down for little comforts in life.

Comfort in friends, comfort in leveling my pride,

and I look forward so much to conversations with friends, those that kept me feeling important, feeling special.

While I honestly turned my back against the One who can comfort me most, truly, completely.

The self, the flesh,

the more I indulge, the more I’m addicted, I rebel against You.

I have replaced You with so many other things in my life.

Friends, money, comfort, pride, every single thing that made up my life right now.

I know fully well that I’m just feeding on my fleshly desire.

So help me, God.

To be rid of all these replacement gods,

to be once again, drawn back to You.

To wait patiently, daily for Your presence.

To look forward to conversations with the source of Comfort.

For good works, for working out my salvation,

with fear and trembling, like what Paul said to the Philippians.

Please don’t let me drown in this pool of fleshly, self-loving,

judging others, pointing, evaluating others’ mistakes,

but never mine, for that’s where all my pride is, myself,

I just can’t see it break apart, can’t I?

point me back to the Cross, where all my glories should be.

like E. Clephane once wrote in her hymn:

“I take, O cross, thy shadow for my abiding place;
I ask no other sunshine than the sunshine of His face;
Content to let the world go by to know no gain or loss,
My sinful self my only shame, my glory all the cross.”

So teach me, Lord. make me want to learn again.

not to lose sight of You, then replacing You.

teach me to fear You, trusting and obeying Your words.

teach me how to love You, Lord.

For I don’t know and I can’t right now.

Maybe God should throw me back to one year ago, back to helpless, hopeless state, to know and relearn how irreplaceable He is. Have mercy on me, God.

What we are accomplishing: Changing Typographer’s quotes into straight quotes, or vice versa,

What we are accomplishing: Changing Typographer’s quotes into straight quotes, or vice versa, for an entire document. For a detailed explanation over dumb/smart quotes, visit this link.

For some designers, quotes can be a bit of hassle if a situation calls for a specific type. Some company’s prefer the smart quote because it is more appropriate for design than the dumb quote. However some instances would require the use of the dumb quotes to fill a certain criteria. Here are two examples that I have faced regularly.

1.) The use of dumb or straight quotes is the proper way to define measurement. Therefore if you have inches (“) or feet (‘), the proper way to display them would be with straight quotes.

2.) When using the Adobe program Flash, programming language is set to recognize straight quotes instead of typographer’s quotes for certain functions. Therefore, if you copy text that you have written in inDesign over to Flash’s Actionscript without using straight quotes, any code that uses quotes will not function correctly.

So, now that I have fully explained the use of straight and typographer’s quotes, I shall move on to the solution to change all instances of them in a document.

To change your documents default use of quotes, go into your “Preferences” panel and select “Type…”. Once here, you can turn on or off the use of Typographer’s quotes at the top the dialog box. Now that your typographer’s quotes are off (or on) you can proceed to change them. Please note, that turning on or off the typographer’s quotes in the dialog box will not change all the instances that you currently have in your document. To change all instances, you will have to do a find and replace. Press ctrl+F to open the “Find and Replace” dialog box. All you have to do is type in a quotation mark in the “Find” and a quotation mark in the “Replace” and hit “Replace All”. Voila! You have successfully changed all of the quotations into their smart or dumb counterpart!

Also, if you are wondering how to change only a specific instance of the quotes, say in a sentence or a single time, you can find your font’s counterpart within it’s glyph set.

Hello Dr. Dennis: I know there are lots of books out on the ‘net claiming that you can get your ex b

Hello Dr. Dennis:

I know there are lots of books out on the ‘net claiming that you can get your ex back. Do any of these books really work? What if your ex has moved on and is dating someone else?

I was dumped out of the blue. I knew in my heart that it wouldn’t work out because he is very immature and insecure and he loved to play mind games. That’s not what I really wanted to be dealing with. Part of me is fine that it’s over but the other part misses him even though it could never work out unless he grew up and dealt with his problems (he’s one of those people that believes he has no problem and that it’s always someone else).

So is their a way to get an ex back after all? If my ex has moved on do I still have a chance? Please don’t tell me to move on because I have for the most part. I have heard it all.

=========================

Hello!

Even a broken watch is right twice a day, and yes, many people DO get their ex’s back – some from following the advice in some (frankly) excellent books and some on their own. Get this: some even do it by asking ME how! Go figure??!!

The reality is, there are far greater minds out there than mine and I encourage you and everyone to read as much of this writing as possible to improve your own life.

Sometimes people read my stuff and say, “Yeah, I’ve heard it all before”. Others read it and the light bulb goes off and things change for them, for the better. That’s pretty cool not because I wrote the book at all but because THEY read it and THEY changed their lives.

Yes, you can get your ex back. The real question you should be asking however is “should you?”

Nature plays this glorious trick on each of us. When we break up with someone, we’re angry and hurt and we have this flood of negative emotions. However, over time, we forget all of that pain and only remember the good, happy times. This is the most dangerous thing there is in rekindling any relationship!

The reason is that, if you actually get the relationship back, soon all the old problems come rushing right back because we never fixed them in the first place.

This really IS a situation of being careful what you ask for!

Take a look at your opinion of your ex! Frankly, it’s pretty far from flattering! Do you really want that back in your life? Do you really think all that was healthy or in some way beneficial to either of you? I don’t.

Yes, even when someone is with someone else, it’s entirely possible to get them back in your life as your boy/girlfriend. For the purposes of this message, I’ll simplify the steps, (the 6 “R’s”) because I think that once you really give it some thought, you’re going to decide this isn’t the best way for you to go:

1) Reconnect. Use some reason or excuse like a holiday, event, birthday or “I was just cleaning out my phone numbers…” to contact this person. Messaging is usually ok, but the telephone is by far better.

2) Remind. Bring up a few memories of when things were good between you. Send a favorite photograph or just recount a story when you and this other person where totally connected, in love and had great, positive energy together.

3) Rekindle. Begin to rebuild those emotional (and especially sexual!) states.

4) Replace. This means both the bad memories of the past (especially the break up itself) and any new person in their lives. You do this by building new memories based on old, cherished ones.

5) Repair. You absolutely have to fix the old problems or you’re going to be right back in the shit in no time! The scary part however is that the next break-up is usually far, far worse than the last one! Thus, you have to get things out into the light of day and DEAL WITH THEM. Get them fixed or they’ll simply ruin what you’ve done so far.

6) Rebuild…the relationship itself.

That’s what it takes in order to back with your ex. Do you really, really want to? Are you sure???

Best regards…
——————————————————————

What will be the shape of the new corporation—the company that survives and thrives on the difficult

What will be the shape of the new corporation—the company that survives and thrives on the difficult path to the twenty-first century? Will it be a flattened pyramid, a networked cluster, a hollowed-out donut, or possibly even a shamrock?

These and other nonhierarchical possibilities stimulate a great deal of interesting speculation. The art of organization design is at a significant crossroads. Many of its old truisms are coming under fire, and few new proven ones have emerged to replace them. But at least some sense of direction for the new corporation is apparent: It will be a business with few walls. Its structure will minimize barriers between staff thinkers and line doers, between functions and divisions, and between the company and the outside world.
