I have been looking for a new pair of shoes to spend my money on this Christmas, however i still haven’t found exactly what i want, I’m close but still not sure. I went for a walk the yesterday and i must of went in every single clothing store on the high street looking at shoes and clothes. I quite like the new all saints range, specifically the toecap brogues that look all distressed and warn out are really nice and I’m seriously considering a pair of all saints toecap brogues shoes this Christmas. I have also spotted some nice shoes on the office website, again toecap shoes that look a little bit like the all saints ones however the haven’t got that distressed vintage look, instead the toecap shoes look brand new and have a really nice tanned leather colour. The final pair that i have been considering for a while are toecaps from River island, i like them but the look too much like the all saints ones, its as if all saints designed the original distressed look brogues and toecaps and then everybody in the fashion industry started copying them! it’s true! is it just me??. Anyway so yeh  you can see all the shoes pictured below and i have included a poll so you guys can vote for your favorite pair. I like them all and i had the money i would get them all, but for now i can only go for one!!I want you opinions.

Office toecap leather tan shoes

These random pictures that i found on blogs of cool people wearing brogues. The pictures are not mine as i took them from massive blogs and websites! I love brogues so much, i’ve  already got loads of pairs! I also loved the 2009 summer trend (brogues and a pair of RL jeans) because i think brogues are suitable for all situations and can be combined with loads of styles!I really like the girl in the first picture i think she looks very cool, and i love her shoes!

Came across these awesome ghost busters theme snickers was googling ” ghost busters shoe” for ages but couldn’t find anything until I came across this blog that had some relevant information !The shoes are available from an eBay store-(search for BAPE store on eBay). The company that designed them is called bathing ape which designed them in collaboration with Columbia pictures to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Ghostbusters”. Available on eBay for 250 bucks! Cheap and cheerful.

These dark green shoes (£3, car boot sale at Poynings) are rather interesting, with a high court-style heel and broguey detailing. I think they’re probably 1970s, judging by the label inside, and they are in excellent  condition. On a very different tip, the white leather ballet pumps (£1, but still with £12 new label on) are only modern-day New Look, but are one of the most comfortable pairs of summer shoes I’ve ever owned. I have worn them all week and my blistered, bleeding feet have been most thankful. The grey stretch belt (50p, car boot sale at Shoreham) has also proved useful already.

I’m off in a minute to hunt for something to wear. Before I popped out, I thought I’d share a bit of eye candy. Happy Monday!

Shoes from Melissa

I was looking for some new shoes the other day, I wanted something cool to wear for my Gig with my band so I thought of bowling shoes ” inspired by the JAM”. I always thought that bowling shoes were super cool and I liked the fact that not a lot of people tend to wear them on a night out. Most of the guys part of the music scene where I am based tend to wear those skinny tight jeans and shiny black shoes which don’t get me wrong it looks cool but everybody does it… so I don’t. It’s all about differentiating yourself from the crowd and expressing your uniqueness not by dressing up in a way that would provoke or deliberately draw attention but in a way that would define you as a person and maybe draw attention at the same time. Anyhow I have been doing my homework and I found these awesome Bowling shoes-check them out but don’t buy them because I will be wearing them! These shoes are called “the dude” by the way. I m not sure if it’s a reference to “the big lebowski” which is one of my favourite films but I dig them anyway.

This is my zappos mailer / catalogue featuring funky retro shoes for women 15-35. Created with the intention of driving traffic to the zappos website and getting the word  out to consumers who are new to on-line shopping. Enjoy.

Can’t quite work out the vintage of these, but I think they’re actually 1980s old-lady shoes rather than genuine ’40s or ’50s – very well-preserved, the finish to the leather feels relatively modern and the heel is a little high for wartime or the austerity era. Also, women didn’t have size 8 feet in those days…  £2, from car boot sale in Shoreham.

Two pairs suede court shoes, probably 1980s, 50p each from Sayers Common car boot sale. 1980s lace-up Clarks ankle boots with small heel, 50p, from the same lady plus a pair of child-size jodphur boots (£2)  for my mother’s Pony Club sale. Have given all my shoes a good scrub-out, and worn the ankle boots already; the beige shoes are a little small, unfortunately, so I may have to pass them on.

So what if they’re a rip-off of the Supra Skytops they’re  also less expensive and I love the grey color which is what color I bought. What do you think?
