Some of you have not followed the trend and opened a twitter account (shame on you to be honest!!)

Twitter is basically a popularity contest…for you to follow the lives of those you either know, admire or aspire to be like. I’m just going to provide a basic guide to Twitter and who you should be following to make the best of what it has to offer.

Key Terms
*Trend Topics or #TT*- basically when something is tweeted about alot it becomes a trend topic…they can also look like this- #iknowulikeme when you text and call me every half hour on the hour…lol

You can create trend topics and hope that most of your followers hop onto your trend…there also a ranking of whats most the most trending topic

*Retweet-RT*- this is basically re-posting someone else’s tweet on its own or adding your reply or comment

*Follow Friday*-#FF- Every Friday everyone posts the usernames of everyone they want ever one to follow…basically it’s a promotion day to gain more followers

*Music Monday-#MM*- You tweet what you are listening to all day…(personally I don’t do this but its a trend topic every monday)

*Twit Stats*- Twitter keeps record of how many people are following you, how many people you are following and how many tweets you’ve made

*Direct Message*- basically sending a private message instead of something that would appear on your or the recipients time line…

Now an abridged version of who to follow:

@myfabulouslife- F_A_B_OLOUS…his trend topics always go to number one and are mad funny!!

@RevRunWisdom- Who’s house?! Runs House?!the most inspirational and retweeted person on twitter…motivating messages are tweeted daily

@necolebitchie- the queen of urban blogs, in her words ” Life’s a b*tch, so I just blog that muthaf**ka”

The call to serve Christ as a pastor is not a deserved privilege or entitlement. However, the call does grant privilege. It grants the almost immediate privilege of access to people’s lives and souls. For clergy, the call is often acknowledged by the word, “Rev” which is short for “Reverend”. It is a powerful word that often grants immediate access to people’s lives.

In the space of a two hour meeting on a Friday night with about 8 people I did not know, and who did not know me, plus the signature of a District Superintendent, I went from Bill Sterling college Junior, living in a dorm; to Rev. Bill Sterling, pastor of 3 churches, living in a parsonage (the regular pay check wasn’t bad either-I thought I was a millionaire). My theological training consisted of Sunday School, worship, and a correspondence course through my denomination for a license to preach. I now had the title, “Rev”. Overwhelmed by it all, I had no idea what the implications were. I did not comprehend the responsibilities. I had no clue as to the sacred privilege that the title and role would entrust to me.

One of my first pastoral visits as “Rev” was to Mr. Bill. He was home. He was dying. From our first meeting to our last time together, he called me “Reverend.” He wasn’t concerned about my training. He wanted to know about my faith. He would talk about his life and faith. Sometimes his wife would sit with us, sometimes we were alone. I visited listened, shared scripture and prayed. The listening part had nothing to do with pastoral counseling skills. I didn’t know what to say. He shared his fears, his hopes, and his concern for his wife. He took what each day brought peacefully and calmly. He gave me far more that I gave him. The title, “Rev” gave me instant access into the sacred space of his life and dying. Yes, at our first meeting, we were strangers. Yet the common faith we shared, and the title “Rev” gave both of us a greater level of familiarity.

Over 37 years of ministry, the title “Rev” has been a title, a label of my call, unlocking doors and granting me as a pastor, the privilege of access into people’s lives and souls. It has granted me access to moments and places in people’s lives where I had no right to be, didn’t want to be, but where I was needed. I have had the honor and privilege of people giving me the gift of being invited into their lowest, most vulnerable, painful and most fearful experiences. I have also had the privilege of being invited into their high moments and joys.

Through the call, Christ allows me to represent him in these intimate moments and relationships. This is the privilege granted by the call and it scares the daylights out of me at times

My next post will be THE ADVERSITY OF THE CALL

Blessings, Bill

A Swami, a Rabbi, an Imam, a Tenzin, a layperson, and a Reverend walk into a bar…

Sounds like the beginning of a joke!

But no.

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is an organisation dedicated to Ideas Worth Spreading. And this idea is very cool.

What they’ve assembled are six different perspectives on the topic of compassion. With – you guessed it – a Swami, a Rabbi, an Imam, a Tenzin, a layperson, and a Reverend.

Swami Dayananda Saraswati: The profound journey of compassion

Rabbi Jackie Tabick: The balancing act of compassion

Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf: Lose your ego, find your compassion

Tenzin Robert Thurman: Expanding your circle of compassion

Robert Wright: The evolution of compassion

Reverend James Forbes: Compassion at the dinner table

Some I found easier to relate to than others, but they are all wonderful discussions on compassion.

Of course, compassion has to start with ourselves. True compassion becomes a part of who you are, not like a jacket you clothe yourself in at will, applied sporadically.

But as Swami Dayananda puts it (paraphrased)… to learn to swim you must swim… in order to be compassionate you must act with compassion… and you fake it til you make it!

Also, check out the Charter for Compassion – a brand new inter-faith initiative looking at how to develop world-wide compassion…

The Charter seeks to change the conversation so that compassion becomes a key word in public and private discourse, making it clear that any ideology that breeds hatred or contempt ~ be it religious or secular ~ has failed the test of our time.

This is all good stuff for contemplating how we treat ourselves and others. And hopefully, a little more ammunition for learning to make peace with ourselves.

What has happened with Kiante Tripp? It’s like he has fallen into a black hole. It’s a shame we didn’t leave him at tight end. That seemed to be a natural for him and we could have surely used the blocking.

Yeah, you have to feel for the kid. He’s made every sacrifice asked of him in his career and all it’s gotten him is a whole lot of nothing. You have to wonder how the O line experiment might have worked out if Trinton hadn’t gotten hurt last year and Tripp had a bit more time to develop. As it stands, he says he’s happy to be back at D end, but none of the coaches seem to excited about giving him playing time.

Everyone piles in cars. Me with Ethan, Emily with Julie, and a few of the others that stayed over.

Everyone piles in cars. Me with Ethan, Emily with Julie, and a few of the others that stayed over. The plan is McDonalds, for lunch now that breakfast has passed, and then probably nothing until a coffee later.

As Ethan and I drive away I start to think about the sleeping beside Emily thing. It certainly is nice to know that I wasn’t alone, which is what I wanted. Even though I didn’t know that she was there. And at the same time it’s a little weird because she’s Emily. And that’s all she’s supposed to be.

“You have a good time last night buddy?” Ethan breaks my train of thought with his question.
“I did, yeah. There was that little bit of a rough patch in the middle, but you came through for me big time. Thanks again.”
“Hey, no problem. I never really liked Chris before, and with his new haircut he just looks like an asshole.”
“He sure does. But the son of a bitch got the girl.”
“To hell with Gillian too. We went over this I thought. She’s clearly not good enough, and not worth the second thought.” Ethan doesn’t always say a lot of things with conviction, but this is one of them.
“Amen brother. Let’s just get drive-thru, I need to get into my own bed as soon as possible.”
“That idea can work. I wouldn’t mind hitting my bed as well.”

We drive into town with the radio on low. Usually it would be loud, but this morning neither one of us can handle loud guitars, drums or rock and roll voices in our ears. There is just enough after affect from the drinking to slow us down. Some people may call it a hang over. Actually I’m pretty sure that I would call it a hang over if anyone was asking.

The golden arches of McDonalds come into view as we come around the left hand turn, and I can feel a McCraving of my own coming on. Ethan and I both get Quarter pounder’s with cheese in a upsized combo. Him root beer, me Sprite with no ice. I’m lucky, or not I guess depending on your personal views, McDonalds is only about a 15 minute walk from my Gran’s house, so if I ever get a craving so bad I can’t help it I can always go. As we pull into the driveway I get my food all together in my left hand. I climb out of the front seat and put my food on the roof of the car.

“Thanks for the ride buddy, saved my ass again.”
“You know it, anytime I can I will.”
“Hey, thanks for last night, would have been a mess without you.”
“That was no big deal. You can pay me back someday.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

I close the door and open the back door quickly to grab my things. After I close the door and grab my food off of the roof I bang on the roof, same as always, and Ethan backs away.

Just as I start to think that I’m home free, aside of course for talking to Gran, the neighbour comes outside. Now, usually a neighbor wouldn’t be a big deal. But this neighbor is a little different. This neighbor is a minister in the church. And he’s my mother’s minister at my mothers’ church. And it’s a small world after all.

“Good afternoon Dan.” He tries to be cool so he doesn’t call me Daniel. Even though I wouldn’t complain, I mean he knows God.
“Good afternoon to you too Reverend. It’s nice to see the sun shining.” Talking about the weather is always safe. I’ve learned that over the years.
“It always is. How is school going?” He’s a smart man this one. Knows how to ask just enough to pass information on without prying and losing what he’s getting.

“School is going well. I’ve got a couple of interesting things on the go between classes and student government. It makes for busy days sometimes, but I enjoy it.” And that’s the truth, again why would I lie to him, he knows God.
“Well that’s good Dan, I’m glad you’ve got things to keep you busy.”
“Me too. Have a good weekend.” I smile and start back towards the house.
“You too Dan.”
It’s not that he makes me uncomfortable at all. It’s just a little disconcerting to think that he’s reporting to my mom about me. And maybe he’s not and it’s all in my head. I’ve been known to over think things before, even when I’m sober.

By Cara Sulieman

THE family of tragic Carol Jarvis paid tribute to a “loving mother” and “devoted wife” as they laid her to rest today (Friday).

A floral tribute spelling out ‘MUM’ in white carnations lay on the coffin alongside three pictures of Carol – including one of her in her wedding dress – at the Co-operative Funeral Parlour in Livingston, where the thanks-giving service was held.

Almost 100 people gathered to pay their respects to the mother-of-four who was 47 years old when she was found dead in her home in Bathgate on September 16.

Friends and family wept as the minister spoke about her love of Girls Aloud, Daniel O’Donnell and dancing the ‘Jive’.

“Her only crime was to love”

Her 59-year-old husband Harry, who is currently being held on remand in connection with Carol’s death, was not present at the funeral and not mentioned during the service.

Son Graham Jarvis, 25, fought back the tears as he paid a touching tribute to his mother.

He said: “A lot has been said about mum in the past but never a truer was spoken than by her closest friend only a matter of weeks ago that mum’s only crime was to love.

“My fondest memory of her has got to be when we were young and mum was the primary Guide leader on a day trip.

“Instead of finding someone to look after us, mum took Kevin and I on a bus packed full of Girl Guides without a moment’s thought about how we might feel out of place.

“As it turned out it was a great day out.

“But this was mum – unorthodox.

“She will be missed so much by her family and all of her friends. I will live my life forever to try to be the great, honest and true person that mum was.”

“I love you Mum”

Kevin Jarvis, 23, had also written a tribute to his mum which was read out by his younger sister Kimberley.

He spoke of fond memories of his mother when he was small and how hard her death had hit the family.

He had written: “I remember getting a present every birthday, even if it was not mine because she loved us all equally.

“Now she has gone she has taken a part of me with her. I love you mum, I should have said it more but now I will say it every day in my heart.”

Her other child – Susan, 26 – attended the funeral but did not speak during the service.

“Warm smile”

Reverend Jim Liddle, who conducted the service, said: “It is a very sad and tragic situation we find ourselves in this afternoon and I am sure it is one that must lay heavy on all of her family.

“Carol was someone who set her standard for life and had her own convictions. Carol had a very strong character. Carol was very independent. She had her own way of doing things.

“She had her own sense of humour and a very warm and endearing smile. She put her family first in everything she did and put herself to the last.

“It was such a complete and total sense of shock when family and friends were told that their special mother had died.”

Boghead Cemetery

The mourners sang the hymns ‘All things bright and beautiful’ and ‘Morning has broken’ during the service before the assembled crowd filed out of the parlour to ‘Whatever happened to old fashioned love’ by Carol’s favourite singer, Daniel O’Donnell.

After the thanks-giving service the funeral cortege moved to Boghead Cemetery in Bathgate, where Carol was laid to rest.

Rita Heyster, 55, is also being held on remand in connection with Carol’s death.

ELCA Grand Canyon Bishop Steve Talmage calls for humble approach in working with tribe

Bishop Talmage acknowledges God was at work with Navajo long before missionaries arrived

(Rock Point, Arizona) – The fourth video on the Installation of Rev. Dr. Lynn Hubbard and Rev. Deborah Haffner Hubbard at the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission (NELM) in Rock Point, Arizona by Bishop Steve Talmage of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Grand Canyon Synod.

Bishop Talmage installed the Hubbards on Sun., June 7, 2009.

In this video, Bishop Steve Talmage talks Navajo medical milestones like Dr. Lori Arviso Alvord, who in 1994 was the first Navajo woman to be board certified in surgery. (See photo collage below)

I believe there is a need to maintain Jesus’s spirit of humility in seeking to discover the bridges that can be made and even crossed between the cultures and histories that exist in this place, Bishop Talmage told those gathered for the Installation Service.

In our less than perfect history of over 50 years of ministry at Rock Point, those who have come from the outside have struggled to be humble, patient and willing to recognize the need to discover how God has already been at work among the people here, Bishop Talmage said.

Love the stranger, love the neighbor and a friend with an open heart – with the open heart that Jesus has for all of God’s children,” said Bishop Talmage of the effect of the mission and school on those who do not know Jesus.

Bishop Talmage’s message of humility and realization that God has long been a part of the Navajo culture even before missionaries resonates with Rev. Dr. Lynn Hubbard, who became executive director of the Navajo Lutheran Mission in the spring of 2009 and has a been an outspoken advocate for Christian respect for the American Indian culture and traditions.

While still following the original goals of the mission, Rev. Hubbard is taking a respectful and humble approach to the mission’s work in the Navajo community.

He believes the purpose of the mission is to minister with the Navajo not for the Navajo.

With the century-long horrors of the Christian boarding lasting to mid 1900s still fresh in elders’ minds, Hubbard believes we need to practice healing and reconciliation, not judge people whose path to the divine life might be different than ours.

Rev. Dr. Lynn Hubbard, who sings and plays guitar, is planning a series of concerts starting in the fall of 2009 at churches and other venues in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, California.

The free fundraising concerts are to raise awareness about mission projects and the new Mission in Reverse model that the mission is operating under since he arrived in the Spring of 2009.

”Ajuta-ne sa ne deschidem sufletele in fata Ta, fiecare in fata celuilalt si in fata bunatatii Tale, acopera saracia noastra cu bogatia milei si iertarii Tale.

“Last time I came back and I was doing the old ‘Here we go again, I’m back’, I think maybe I might have still had a little bit of evil in me – according to the press,” he said.

“So what I’ve decided to do this time around is to bring a priest [in] … It’s a real priest, it’s a reverend or whatever it is.

“Just to bless us and the show and get rid of any evil before we get started.”

Austereo suspended Sandilands from the Kyle And Jackie O Show on September 9 after he said Magda Szubanski – who has fronted a weight loss campaign – could become thin if she was put in a concentration camp.

He was suspended without pay and ordered to undergo counselling.

The incident came after Sandilands and Jackie O were pulled off air for two weeks in August for strapping a 14-year-old to a lie detector and quizzing her about her sexual history on air.

Sandilands was also dumped as an Australian Idol judge.

Today he said his time off has been boring.

“It’s been so long, I’ve been so bored,” he said.

“I don’t know what you guys have been doing … but man, getting suspended is very boring.

“Most people would love it, right?

“For me, I’m a workaholic, all I do is work. [Australian] Idol gone – no Idol. Radio gone. No life.

“I realised I am a boring person with no life and I have no other interests outside of work. None, zero, no interests.”

From time to time, you come across a guitar that just floors you.
it doesn’t happen all that often, so when it does, you should really
savor it. It’s occurred to me only three times since I started playing.
The latest one was when a friend of mine let me borrow a Lava Swirl
Reverend Rocco… I had to have it!

I became more interested in the Reverend brand – I now own three of
those jewels – and emailed Joe Naylor about an interview. Joe answered
my email within the hour, enthusiastically agreeing. There’s nothing
better than hearing it straight from the guy whose genius is
responsible for some of the most innovative guitar and amp designs of
the past twenty years.

My thanks to Joe for some fantastic guitars, and for playing along! You
can find out more about reverend guitars on their website at ReverendGuitars.com.
1. Please share any biographical information you care to…

Born 1961 in Ann Arbor, MI, guitarist since 1980, hold a Bachelors
Degree in Industrial Design, graduate of Roberto-Venn School of
Luthiery, and have repaired guitars professionally since 1982. In 1992
I opened Joe’s
Guitar Exchange & Repair, a storefront specializing in repair and
sales of vintage/used gear. The store evolved into J.F. Naylor
Engineering, one of the forerunners in boutique amps and vintage style
speakers. In 1996 I sold Naylor and launched Reverend Musical
Instruments.

2. For those of us who may not have come across Reverend Guitars yet, what does your company do?

We offer unique, pro-level electric guitars in the $400-$600 range.

3. Joe, what pushed you to open shop?

Unemployment. Back in ‘92 I couldn’t find a decent job, so I opened a guitar store. Everything evolved from there.

4. What is the Reverend Guitars philosophy? How is your company and its offerings different from the competition?

Our philosophy is pretty simple: build the best guitar we know how to
in the mid-price range, and make it gig-ready out of the box. I think
our level of R&D is exceptionally high for this price range. Let’s
face it, all companies pretty much have access to the same woods,
hardware and electronics. What makes a great design is selecting the
right combination of elements. Something as simple as choosing the
correct value pots for a particular model can make the difference
between good and great. It takes extra time and effort to tweak the
recipe, and we’re willing to go the distance. We’re not saving our best
R&D for a high-end line, this is it, we don’t have a high-end line.
I think an excellent indicator of our approach paying off is our Artist
list… we have top-notch players touring the world with stock $500
Reverends.

5. Please explain the creative process at Reverend Guitars. How do you design a new guitar?

I come up with a basic concept based on what the line needs. Then I
make a full size drawing on a drafting table, paper and pencil, old
school. The drawing will usually evolve over several weeks. We’re
currently locked into two basic headstocks, so most the tweaks are to
the body shape. I keep an extensive library of reference books that
covers all the great 50’s and 60’s guitar designs, and I study them
closely. They really knew how to design back then, not just guitars,
but everything from cars to clothes to kitchen appliances. Ideally, I
end up with a design that’s
vintage influenced, but fresh and relevent to today’s market. Anyhow,
the drawing is scrutinized by myself and my staff. If we all like it,
and we still like it a week later, that usually means it’s good to go.
Drawings are then sent to Korea, and we receive a sample guitar within
a couple months. If it passes our tests we approve it for production,

otherwise we submit changes and wait for another sample.

6. Please share some trends that you noticed in the industry, or that
are related to your business. For example, what model or pickup
configuration do you sell the most, etc…

Overall, we mostly sell humbuckers and P-90’s. Humbuckers and set-necks
are hot in the rock market. Other than a Tele here and there, Gibson
style guitars are dominating rock… SG’s, V’s, 335’s, are on the rise,
and Pauls are still fairly strong. P-90’s are very hot with the blues
and alt rock guys, and our Revtron loaded models do well with the alt
country and roots rock players. Fender style guitars are still doing
well with other music styles, but the traditional 3 single-coil Strat
style has definately tapered off, we don’t even offer one. Semi-hollows
in general
have made a strong comeback.

7. Reverend Guitars used to be manufactured in the USA. I understand
that it is not the case anymore. Could you please explain where they
are now built, and what happens here in the States?

Everything is made in Korea. They are shipped here, and we check over
every guitar. We have a detailed inspection and set-up process, and the
final set-up and play test is performed by Zack Green, who has been
with
us since 1999.

8. Could you give us some insight on the 10th Anniversary Jetstream HB
model, and how it differs from the “regular” Jetstream HB model?

The difference is cosmetic. It has a silver metalflake top, black
headstock and 10th Anniversarry decal on the back of the headstock.
We’re taking orders through 2007 only. It’s really a stunning
instrument, a veritable fishing lure for groupies.

9. Whatever happened to the “old style” hard shell case?

The white sides on the old case matched the white sides on the USA
guitar body, but looked odd with the import guitars. We wanted a
universal case, so it was dropped. The new case has a tougher look
anyhow, which works
better in the rock market, which we wanted to further penetrate.

10. Are all Reverend guitars equipped with Reverend pickups, or do you use other vendors’ products as well?

Current models use proprietory Reverend pickups designed by me, except
the Gil Parris Signature which has a LACE Sensor in the middle slot.

11. What is the creative process behind the design and production of a new pickup?

It’s much like designing a guitar. I start with a basic concept, submit
specs. for samples, and test/tweak/test relentlessly until we get what
we want. We’re using the same pickup designs that we used in the USA
guitars,
so they’ve stood the test of time. People rarely swap out the pickups in our guitars.

12. What should we know about the Revtron pickups?

They’re based on the late 50’s Filtertron. We wound them about 5%
hotter than traditional, so they sing a little more. We also wound the
bridge hotter than the neck for improved tonal and volume balance. It’s
a surprisingly
versatile pickup, great for traditonal styles and rock. But it does
have a unique, strong midrange presence, so it’s not for everybody.

13. What should we know about the Les Trem?

It’s a great unit, in my opinion the best available in the top mount
style. In terms of build quality, adjustability, smoothness, and pitch
stability it’s a step up from a Bigsby.

14. The Gil Parris Signature Reverend is a beautiful instrument. How did that come about?

Gil’s been playing Reverend for years. When we came out with the
imports, he approached us about a signature model. He was adamant about
it being affordable and versatile. We collaborated and ended up with
one of our
best sellers. Combining single-coils with humbuckers is always tricky
business in terms of tone and volume compatability. But the LACE Sensor
worked out great, and it doesn’t hum.

15. If you were to give hints and tips to a first-time guitar builder, what would it be?

Take drafting and modern art appreciation classes. Buy books that cover
the histories of the prominent guitar brands and study the classic
models in detail. Work in a guitar store. Attend guitar shows. Go to a
NAMM show.
Find out what players really want and why.

18. What do you perceive are the challenges of running an independent guitar company?

The guitar business is somewhat trendy, much like the music business.
You have to keep up on what’s hot. Otherwise, it’s not much different
than other businesses. To succed you need to take care of your
customers,
keep the quality high, pay the bills, etc. Fortunately, we’ve been
doing this for 10 years, and when we went to imports we already had an
infrastructure and skilled staff in place.

19. Anything currently in development at Reverend Guitars that we should know about? Any new cool goodies for us to lust after?

Nothing earth-shattering at present. You might check back around
January NAMM. Sign up for our e-newsletter at the website for Reverend
news updates.

20. If you had to make a list of the top-10 best guitar tones out there, what artists/bands would make the list?

Here’s a list of my personal favorites in no particular order:

The Who – Live at Leeds, Townsend is my all-time favorite guitarist.
Big Sugar – Gordy Johnson’s overdrive sounds like God! They were big in Canada.
Van Halen – first record, it changed the entire industry.

Hendrix – Woodstock, sounds like a wild elephant.
Santana – the early records and Woodstock, much rawer than his current sound.
Jeff Beck – Wired, especially Goodbye Porkpie Hat.
AC/DC – Highway to Hell record, quintessential Marshall.
ZZ Top – Tejas, Billy sounds like Texas.
Johnny A – his clean tone is thick, ethereal and not too clean.

Stevie Ray Vaughn – the first two records, quintessential Strat tone.

21. Anything else you would like to add?

Thanks for letting me spew!

Last Christmas, my uncle Bernie gave me a DVD of the movie ‘What Would Jesus Buy’. I forgot I had it for months now, and I decided to watch it last night. It’s a documentary about a bogus reverend and his mission to bring awareness to the sins of consumerism.

Here’s the trailer:

Here’s My Opion:

This film is just another distortion, among many distortions, on the so-called ’sins of consumerism’. Please note that ‘Reverend Billy’, an actor (Bill Talen), is nothing more than a bureaucrat against the ’sins of consumerism’. We might want to ask are questions, like: What does ‘Reverend Billy’ do for a living? How does he make his money? Does he make his living off his ‘tax-deductible’ organization? How does the Internal Revenue justify this as a ‘tax-deductible’ church or organization?

Everyone knows that Christmas is commercialized, but it affords one day out of a whole year in which people have an opportunity to be charitable, and allows a significant number of people to spend time with their families, friends, or extended families. Everyone is not charitable. Everyone does not spend time with their families, friends, or extended families. But, holidays and vacation time give people that chance and opportunity. Yes, America does have more than its share of problems–but, with perseverance, Americans have and always make it through great difficulties. And, even in times of strife, America has proved itself to be the greatest country in the world. That happens when Americans pull together and unite, rather than to separate and divide. Yes, there are problems with corporations and monopolies, but it will take Americans to bring back the small businesses, along with the ethics to responsibly care for people living in our individual communities. Yes, globalization has brought us its share of problems, but it will take Americans to bring production back to America. Americans and the U.S. government need to learn how to stay on a budget, no matter how large or small it may be, and we must stop our dependence on credit. Our over-reliance on credit will make, and keep us poor, from the cradle to the grave. It is important to buy–but, if we buy less, we will rely less on credit. And, if we are able to save, even a small amount of money, we will have money for a rainy day. Not to say that, as Americans, we will gain an equal share of wealth. Wealth is not guaranteed, and has never been guaranteed. But, stratification teaches us that only a small percentage of Americans hold most of America’s wealth. There is a good proximity that you or I can reach the level of the upper, middle class. And, who knows what can happen from there?!? Be positive, work hard–and, at the very least, you and I will be able to reach at least some (if not all) of our dreams. In life, nothing is guaranteed, but we always have that something to reach for. And, if you or I don’t have dreams, we might as well be dead. In America, there is always room for plenty of hopes and dreams. As individuals, we are a part of the pack, but we always can become the leader of the pack.

It has always been my experience that churches and religion do offer nothing more than additional distortions, but I pay dignity and give respect to people with other beliefs, values, and perspectives. But, as far as the distortions expressed, within this film, I do not have any faith in such beliefs, values, and perspectives. I rank this film with a 1 out of 10–but, in all honesty and truth, this film deserves a zero. This film has no integrity, and I cannot recommend it.

But I can’t speak for everyone. Tell me what you think about this film in the comments section.

That’s all for now.
