Please excuse me but I’m on my music tip today. I remember where I was when I first heard Rich Boy’s song and it’s none of your business. I just wish that they would have made a video for the remix. They didn’t even need to do a video for the whole song, just Andre 3000, Nelly, and Murphy Lee’s verses.

A new Rick Boy track has leaked and even though it’s not confirmed for it to be on his upcoming album, “Buried Alive,” the song is kinda hot. Ive always been a fan of Rich Boy, despite the fact that its kinda hard to listen to him because of his heavy accent; he really is a good lyricist. This track, however is a typical club/ladies vybe; produced by Jim Jonsin, the futuristic bounce and sex appeal sounds like what Timbaland wants to do but is failing without Danja.

I was watching the Teyana Taylor “Drop It Low” dance video yesterday and decided to go watch the original video by Ester Dean (feat. Chris Brown) on youtube. I had “watched it” before but honestly didn’t pay any attention to her because I was too excited about Chris Brown’s comeback. I clicked another video that was on her page that had Nelly, Keri Hilson, Soulja Boy, Audio Push, and others answering the question “Who is Ester Dean?” What I got from the video was that she had basically written a lot of my favorite songs but I still wanted to know more. I Wikipedia’d her and nothing came up then I decided to google her (ironically she wrote that song for Teyana Taylor) and all that I kept seeing was the “Who is Ester Dean?” video. After running through multiple pages, I FINALLY found this in-depth interview she did about a week ago with BlogCritics.

Ester Dean is pretty much a talented singer, songwriter and producer. What stands out is not only her raspy voice but the fact that she’s not the typical “industry size.” People in the industry expect you to be a certain size before they even consider working with you. Shoutout to Polow Da Don for going against the industry “standard” and putting her under his wing…and shoutout to her for staying true to herself!

Common and John Legend are two artists I highly appreciate. On one side Common with his unique voice and very comfortable to hear flow and on the other side John Legend with his undenieable skills as piano player and songwriter.

Now they both teamed up for the song Strange Fruit which contains a Nina Simone sample – very nice !

Lonnie Rashid Lynn on his side is a well known rapper and actor, famous for appearances in movies like Smokin’ Aces, American Gangster, Wanted, Street Kings and Terminator Salvation.

I especially appreciate him for his Finding Forever album, but he is also recognizable for his Soulquarian area music.

John Legend, real name John Stephens,  has played piano for Lauryn Hill’s Everything is Everything; has led his voice for diverse Kanye tracks and has won several Grammys.

Rich Boy a.k.a. Maurice Richards is most known for his hit Throw Some D’s but I appreciate him for the hole album Rich Boy.

He was discovered by mega producer Polow Da Don and is also signed on his imprint Zone 4. He is about to release his next album in 2010, named Buried Alive.

Richard Butler, also known as Rico Love, is  signed on Usher’s label US Records .He has written lyrics for artists like Flo Rida, Taeira Marie, The Pussycat Dolls, Cassie, Natasha Bedingfield, Ciara, Keri Hilson, Chris Brown, Donell Jones etc.
