Colorado House Representative Cheri Gerou (R-Jefferson) cast the deciding vote against House Bill 13

Colorado House Representative Cheri Gerou (R-Jefferson) cast the deciding vote against House Bill 13-1045 which would have nullified portions of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), sponsored by Representative Jared Wright (R-Mesa/Delta), a former police officer.

NDAA is an annual act passed by the US Congress which primarily specifies budget and expenditures for the US Department of Defense. The most controversial provisions received wide attention in 2012 and are contained in Title X, Subtitle D, entitled “Counter-Terrorism.” In particular, sub-sections 1021 and 1022, which deal with detention of persons the government suspects of involvement in terrorism without due process.

A Republican voting against the writ of habeas corpus and in favor of warrantless arrest and indefinite detention of US citizens with no recourse to the Courts is astonishing. I thought Republicans were in favor of the Constitution. This bill would have guaranteed our right to habeas corpus. Recall USMC veteran Brandon Raub who was illegally detained and placed on a mental health hold in Virginia for alleged “anti-government” posts on Facebook. It’s happening!Colorado is also slated to pass Senate Bill 13-013 which gives Secret Service local authority to perform such an act inside Colorado borders. Wright’s bill would have nullified such actions in Colorado if it were not for his fellow Republican, Cheri Gerou.

Here is the Vote:

Representative Wright posted this on Facebook:

I am disappointed that we have failed today in Colorado to adopt policy that blocks the federal government from indefinitely detaining US Citizens under federal law in the 2001 AUMF and the 2012 and 2013 National Defense Authorization Acts. Policy analysts, intellects, reporters, Constitutional lawyers, citizens and even the President himself have echoed concerns with these feder…al laws and the potential for future abuse of our civil rights.

The same legislation that passed the Michigan House 107-0 and Virginia nearly unanimously died today on the Colorado House floor 33-32 in a bipartisan vote.

Activists are already on a hunt to primary Gerou. Votes have consequences!

THE VAULT 02/13

In our February post for “The Vault”, we decided to go even further into the archives and dig up a couple of really strong images. This campaign was truly about beauty and simplicity. Calvin Klein was big on the sexy look so Paul and I took it toward a dreamy, floating on air approach with lots of sensuality. The casting went on for a whole day and once these beautiful people walked thru the door we knew we had who we were looking for.

These images were shot for Jockey Underwear in 1988 and was Art Directed by Paul Hains.

I have most likely voted for just as many Republican candidates for office as Democratic candidates.

I have most likely voted for just as many Republican candidates for office as Democratic candidates. I’m not certain. Nevertheless, I can’t help but chuckle, or even feel somewhat offended, whenever I hear about Lincoln Days celebrations by Republican committees around the country. In this political environment it just doesn’t seem appropriate to call the party: The Party of Lincoln.

My sense is that Lincoln wouldn’t be very comfortable in today’s Republican Party, or at least those in the party wouldn’t be comfortable with Lincoln’s presence. I believe he would expect something as well as model mature political behavior.

The name RINO – Republican In Name Only – has also been amusing. While it has become quite the pejorative term, I like the sound of the acronym.

So, I have been thinking about what to do with the two concepts:

POLINO – Party Of Lincoln In Name Only? Nah
POLIYD – Party of Lincoln, In Your Dreams? Unpronounceable acronym

POLDO – Party of Lincoln, Dream On? Maybe. The acronym has a nice and appropriate ring to it in the lexicon of words ending in ldo.

POLYW – Party of Lincoln, You Wish? Another unpronounceable

POLMA – Party of Lincoln, My Ass? I like it.

Actually, if the party of Lincoln would just do more to assure a functioning government and, also, smack down all the hateful, xenophobic, straight-whites-only rhetoric, then the Party of Lincoln descriptor might begin to fit.

” All they’re doing here, whether they realize it or not, is throwing him into the briar patch. Christie was never going to run as the conservative choice in 2016 and lord knows he’s not going to run as a conservative to get reelected in New Jersey. That’s how Democrats will try to paint him, of course, but now he has fresh evidence to rebut the charge — he’s unwelcome at the preeminent gathering of American conservatives. CPAC’s unwittingly helping him burnish his brand as the country’s most formidable centrist Republican. Expect him to gets lots of mileage out of it in interviews over the next month.

Maybe Netroots Nation will snap him up for this year’s gala instead. Exit question: Was last night’s photo op with FLOTUS the last straw? “

While we acknowledge the fact that there have been and will be others who are even less conservative than Christie invited to attend CPAC , we feel that any “republican” that says “ I agree with Andrew Cuomo on probably 98% of the issues” does not belong anywhere near the podium of any conservative gathering .

President Obama’s demagoguery and fear-mongering on his sequester cuts are breathtaking, even

President Obama’s demagoguery and fear-mongering on his sequester cuts are breathtaking, even for him. Lest you think I am engaging in hyperbole, let me give you the dictionary definition of a demagogue.

One definition is “a political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument.”

Obama’s ordinary MO is to stir people against one another, to stoke the flames of envy among some against others in lieu of rational argument to rally support for his causes.

By David Limbaugh

Obama has had four years to try his ideas. They have all failed, in every category. His stimulus plan to spend nearly $1 trillion of borrowed money to jump-start the economy was a colossal, unconscionable waste of money we didn’t have and not only didn’t work as promised but probably stalled the private sector’s efforts to recover. He remains defiantly unrepentant in the face of his repeated reckless green policy failures.

Liberal economists and ideologues — in some cases, there’s little difference — cling fast to the myth that Obama’s gutting of the private sector to chase public money after projects for which there was no demand actually helped the economy. But they can’t prove their assertion that the economy would have been worse but for the stimulus any more than one can prove a negative. But objective evidence says otherwise: Obama has presided over the worst recovery in 50 years.

But those who control the writing of history (and the other disciplines, such as economics, that have been thoroughly politicized in modern academia) have an advantage in controlling the present. Liberal academic revisionists have firmly planted in our history and economic texts the myth that FDR’s big-government policies brought us out of the Great Depression. Only recently have a number of modern historians and authors set the record straight: His policies exacerbated and prolonged the Depression. Yet Obama persists in touting his own big-government prescriptions, demanding we ignore history and his own record.

Obama has had four years to get the economy moving, and our extraordinarily high level of unemployment is just as high as it was when he took office and, when you consider the record numbers of people leaving the workforce, is much worse than the numbers indicate. Yet he still refuses to accept any responsibility for his own failures.

Obama will not offer any plan to reduce spending, especially entitlements. He just keeps going back to his crusade against the rich, from whom he’s already extracted a higher tax rate and eliminated personal exemptions and deductions. He promised he wanted a balanced approach, but he refuses to balance his punitive tax hikes with spending cuts and entitlement reform. Even former Sen. Alan Simpson said that unless Obama gets serious about entitlements, he will have a failed presidency.

But Obama and his Democratic senators will not pass a budget, and they will not participate in entitlement reform. Instead, Obama is back railing against the Republicans for their alleged unwillingness to further tax the rich, whom they have already reluctantly agreed to discriminatorily tax.

Obama tells us that Republicans are insisting on keeping his brainchild — the sequestration — in place to avoid further taxing the rich. This is the same sequestration he promised to support; he even threatened to veto efforts to remove it. Now he complains about its draconian cuts — not about cuts to the military but about cuts to his sacred domestic programs. But in fact, even with the sequester cuts, we will be spending more in fiscal year 2013 than we have in any other fiscal year in American history, save 2011. He is simply misleading the public because he wants to further punish the rich — even if it means holding hostage our military and accelerating the nation’s imminent bankruptcy.

Obama is dreadfully wrong on both sides of the fiscal equation. Economic growth does not depend on government spending, which has the opposite effect because it sucks the wind out of the private sector; and you balance the budget not by taxing the rich but by drastically cutting spending and reforming entitlements.

Obama and his ilk mock Republicans for their “trickledown” economics, but Obama is the quintessential proponent of his own trickledown economics. As to the private sector and entrepreneurship, he is an atheist. He believes that only he and his central planners in the omniscient federal government can cause economic growth and that from that high mountain of government largesse will trickle down economic activity for the ignorant, impotent private sector and the economy at large.

The sequestration, as House Speaker John Boehner has said, is an ugly way to cut spending and is not good for our national defense. But if we don’t start cutting fast (and the sequester is more a reduction in the rate of spending increases than it is a cut), we won’t have the money to support a military at all, much less anything else. Time to stop playing games with the nation’s very viability and our children’s future. The Republicans must hold to their guns this time.

Joe Scarborough

From Huffington Post

Joe Scarborough lashed out at conservative “media culture” on Tuesday’s “Morning Joe,” telling viewers that Rush Limbaugh and Fox News have not been good for the Republican party.

Scarborough urged Republicans to look beyond those two outlets. “Just for conservatives that think they have to stay in their own little media world, since Rush Limbaugh went on the air and became a national figure, Republicans have lost five out of the last six presidential elections in the popular vote,” he said. “Since Fox News went on the air in 1996, Republicans have lost four out of the five last —”

“Please keep doing what you’re doing,” co-host Mika Brzezinski joked.

“When Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon had to go up against a media culture that absolutely hated them… and there were no conservative outlets, they won 49 states,” Scarborough continued. He said that he turns to conservative outlets as well as mainstream media, but added, “for people who think they have to stay in the little box, I got bad news for you: it’s not working.”

The MSNBC host has been a vocal critic of conservative media, who he once said are “destroying the Republican party everyday,” he said in December. Scarborough has also raged against conservative bloggers — or as he calls them, “the Cheetos brigade” — for calling him and others a RINO (“Republican in name only”).

From January 2009 through June of 2010, approximately 1,700 volunteers of Arizona motorists and concerned citizens launched an effort called “Arizona Citizens Against Photo Radar” to push back on the unconstitutional and dangerous freeway photo radar system installed by Janet Napolitano after being approved in the budget proposal by Arizona Legislature.

Arizona Citizens Against Photo Radar or ACAPR collected north of 130,000 signatures using a measly sum of just over $4,000 in donation which mostly came from individuals in the group itself. These facts are indisputable and corroborated by the AZ Secretary of State Office, who even did an audit of the donations. Why? Because they didn’t realize how badly Arizona government screwed up by allowing for a network of Redflex spy cameras to be installed on AZ interstates and highways. The blowback was somehow unanticipated.

They just couldn’t believe that citizens could really put that much energy into fighting them with nothing in return other than the satisfaction of working hard to preserve their rights.

They were wrong. The effort was overwhelming, though it didn’t qualify for the state’s tough standards to be placed on the ballot automatically. Jan Brewer caved in and canceled the state’s contract with Redflex, but refused to put the citizens initiative on the 2010 vote, when she had the power to easily do it.

The cameras on the freeway came down and since then, members of the CameraFRAUD group have been demanding legislature do their job and ban the rest of Redflex and American Traffic Solutions’ automated ticketing machines.

Yesterday, Representative Karen Fann [contact], chair of the Transportation Committee and Stan Barnes [contact], American Traffic Solutions <del>whore</del> <del>vampire</del> lobbyist teamed up to not only make a mockery of the committee process, but also to insult the intelligence of their fellow Arizonans and dance all over the remains of the shredding of our state constitution.

After hearing from just two members of this group, pro-camera lobbyists were paraded up one by one, each more delusional than the next, thanks to Fann’s appetite for statist grand-standing.

Then came Stan Barnes, the highest paid lobbyist in the state of Arizona who shills for ATS. He began by mocking the effort to get rid of his company’s cameras and then repeated lie after lie. Lies so ridiculous that audible laughing could be heard from the chamber.

Barnes: “A well funded, out of state group launched a citizens initiative against the cameras that failed to make the ballot”

Chamber: *Laughter*

Barnes calling $4,000 in just over 18 months “well funded” and ACAPR “out of state,” is an absolute joke and an insult to the hard work of this group which is still paying dividends for defenders of citizens’ rights.

Barnes designer jeans began to visibly shake as nervousness set in after that little liar’s rant.

However Barnes was just “doing his job,” as depressing as that is for hard working Arizonans. And his salary, in terms of our $4,000, makes him the equivalent of Goldman Sachs, Chase Bank, B of A or any other corporate welfare recipient/bailout baron in the state of Arizona. Barnes is well paid for his acting.

So well paid, in fact, that he has plenty of cash every cycle to donate the max amount to Rep Karen Fann’s campaign, records show. So Fann allowed for seemingly endless debate on a 1/3 of a page bill (HB 2579) “Photo Radar Prohibition” and throughout the proceedings, informed the other 5 members of the committee just how to kill it.

The most blatant act was visibly talking Rep Sonny Borrelli out of voting for HB 2579, after he said during debates that he would vote to send it to the House floor (yes vote).

Fann was counting votes and saw that hers would be the decider, so she leaned over to Borrelli (the committee vice-chair) and told him he had to switch to a NO. Borrelli caved to her demand voted no on HB 2579 then saying, in an effort to clear his conscience “My mother is retired LAPD and will kill me for this vote. She saw how rear end collisions went up with the cameras and hates them too.” Borrelli placed his no vote, giving Fann the cover she needed.

And they really expect the voters in their districts not to see through all this.

Every member of the committee who voted no told their districts during their testimony that their job was NOT TO REPRESENT THEM, but to leave that up to someone else back home. They must be confused about why they go to the state capitol each session.

Fann clearly doesn’t understand her role as chair and allowed Stan Barnes, The Redflex contingency and her vice chair to turn the Arizona House of Representative Transportation Committee into a circus act, complete with the elephant dung smell.

Arizonans aren’t buying it and this bill is likely to find its way to the House floor for a vote despite Fann and Barnes best efforts.

Since Obama took office there has not been a budget and the country has been operating at $1.1+ Tril

Since Obama took office there has not been a budget and the country has been operating at $1.1+ Trillion deficits. Obama has already missed the legal deadline to submit a budget for the next FY. This makes 4 years in a row. In February, 2012 the office of US Senator Rand Paul proposed a budget. With Paul (R-KY) being pushed as a major Presidential contender in 2016 what could we expect from a Paul presidency in regards to the budget?

Paul proposes completely eliminating or cutting the following agencies, organizations and laws:

Eliminate the Government Printing Office: (Spent $30 million in tax payer money in 2010 printing materials such as comic books. The seldom, if ever read Congressional Record cost $782/page to print. Paul proposes using the internet to display documents.)

Eliminate the following under the Department of Agriculture: Agriculture Research Service (Agriculture, like all other industries, can perform its own research and development without the use of federal subsidies), National Institute of Food and Agriculture (States and colleges already fund the activities carried out by this branch), National Institute of Food and Agriculture (Modern technology has eliminated the need for this branch), Block Grant Food Stamps and Child Nutrition Program (Money will be returned to the states so that it can be most efficiently distributed to those in need).

Eliminate the Department of Commerce: “Department of Commerce is nothing more than a hall closet where you throw in everything that you don’t know what to do with.” - Robert Mosbacher, Former Secretary of Commerce

Eliminate the Department of Education; preserve the Pell Grant program at FY2008 levels: The growth in education spending at the federal level has gone from nearly $35.5 billion in 2001 to an estimated $70.2 billion in FY2012 – nearly a 100 percent increase. Today, the Federal government spends an average of $10,000 per pupil every year – more than double what we spent in 1970 – yet, the results have been disappointing at best. Reading and Math scores from 1971 – 2008 did not trend proportionally with the large spending increases, and overall achievement had declined in science scores.During the first half of the past century, America ranked among the most educated populations in the world. Since that time, the role of the federal government in education has expanded significantly, accounting for as much as 10 percent of all government spending in FY2009. As the role of the federal government in education has increased, conversely, the U.S. rankings have been falling below other economically developed countries. In December 2010, the OECD reported that the U.S. continues to fall relative to world educational levels. Returning this money to the states will not only improve education, but drastically improve our deficit.

Eliminate the Department of Energy: Transfer the Atomic Energy Agency and all nuclear research laboratories to re-established Atomic Energy Commission. Examples of waste and fraud include: $10,000 in federal grants to design footwear from renewable resources; and $96.2 billion for Yucca Mountain, a nuclear waste repository in Nevada that will likely go unused; $535 million in loans to the now bankrupt Solyndra Corporation; and a $2.1 billion loan guarantee to German developer to help finance a 1,000 megawatt solar thermal power plant in southern California.

Cut Defense Spending- Policy Proposals: Modernize military force size (bring the troops home). Reduce overseas presence (close embassies that cost our country billions of dollars, quit subsidizing Asian, European, and Middle Eastern countries with American tax dollars to fund their military campaigns and national security. Allow them to be sovereign Nations). Transition security forces to Afghanistan governments (end our presence in Afghanistan and return the country to its people and own government). Reduce waste, fraud, and abuse (Paul provides the following examples: The Pentagon can’t account for $9 billion that was meant to be provided to the Iraqi government; The Department of Defense paid over $285 billion to contractors engaged in fraudulent behavior over a three-year period; and Nearly $200 million was transferred to the Army’s personnel fund after funds were lost and overspent. With a budget larger than that of most countries, and a facility (the Pentagon) ranked as the largest office building in the world, the Pentagon claims that due to its enormous size, accurate financial reporting is complicated:The DOD obligates an average of $2 billion to $3 billion every business day and handles hundreds of thousands of payment transactions, which take place in thousands of worldwide locations, including war zones. This lack of accountability on paper puts the department at high risk of major losses in cash and inefficiencies, and just like any other federal bureaucracy, the DOD should be held accountable and forced to comply with regular audits. Currently, the DOD has been provided six years to organize and prepare for the scheduled audit in 2017).-“We will bankrupt ourselves in the vain search of absolute security.” -General Dwight D. Eisenhower, “Our national debt is our biggest national security threat.’ -Admiral Mike Mullen, Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

Abolish the TSA and privatize airport security

Collect delinquent taxes from federal employees

Reduce Federal Travel

Repeal Davis Bacon Law

Ban Union Labor Project Agreements

Sell Unused Federal Assets

Reduce Federal Vehicle Budget

Sell Excess Federal Lands

Sell Equity Stake in GM, Chrysler, & AIG

Rescind all unspent Budget Authority after 36 months

Allow Line Item Veto

Open ANWR and the Keystone Pipeline to allow for more energy independence

Reform the Tax Code to a Flat Tax

Adopt a Balanced Budget Amendment to the US Constitution

Freeze Foreign Aid Funding at $5 Billion

Reform Social Security: According to the 2011 Annual Report of the Board of Trustees of the Social Security Trust Fund, Social Security has a current unfunded liability of $6.5 trillion in present value (over 75 years) – or nearly $60,747 per household.

Reform Medicare through new Act called, “Congressional Health Care for Seniors Act”: The Medicare Trustees indicate that the unfunded obligation for the program over the next 75 years is $24.4 trillion. This is simply not sustainable and reform must occur. This act allows for all seniors to be enrolled into the same health care plan as their Members of Congress and other federal employees. By all accounts, elected officials and federal employees receive the finest health insurance in the country. It is time for every senior to get the best health care in America. Not only is the Congressional health care plan better, it’s less expensive. Taxpayers will save more than $1 trillion over the first 10 years and reduce Medicare’s 75-year unfunded obligation by $16 trillion. Individual seniors will save thousands of dollars from their personal health care budgets each year while receiving more generous health . While only 73% of doctors accepts Medicare, more than 90% accept FEHBP (Federal Employees Health Benefits). The quality, access, and costs will greatly improve for all seniors.

Repeal the Patient Accountability and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)

Above are only a few of the highlights from the 103 page budget proposal. Senator Paul’s Budget balances in only 5 years. The full text of the budget can be read here. The above budget highlights are a sensible step towards fiscal responsibility, which is something America will be in dire need of come 2016.

This buckey-toothed varmint has angered voters in Arizona, the useful idiots who voted him back into power after he lost a national election on purpose to communists, and before he signed the NDAA agreement that allows the commies to seize you from your home without warrant. They are all angry because they have woken up from a bad dream only to find McChipmunk’s nightmare. He wants the borders opened so rapists, murders, drug lords and their gangs and terrorists plus tens of millions of ILLEGAL ALIEN Mexican Nationals can bring more La Raza with them, and this idiot wonders why the idiot voters are angry at the idiot.

You know something folks. As a published author and poet, this is such great fictional material if it wasn’t so real life which makes it unbelievably sad. Either this old guy has lost his mind completely, or he was brainwashed by the North Viet Cong when in captivity. Throw in his daughter or grand daughter, a leftwing commie loon nutcase and the picture begs for this guy to wind up his CaRear and let someone more competent and less commie take the seat for the senate. The damage John McChipmunk has foraged for us all amounts to nothing but rotten old peanuts!

As Reported by EFF: The Federal Aviation Administration has finally released a new drone authorization list. This list, released in response to EFF’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, includes law enforcement agencies and universities across the country, and—for the first time—an Indian tribal agency. In all, the list includes more than 20 new entities over the FAA’s original list, bringing to 81 the total number of public entities that have applied for FAA drone authorizations through October 2012.

Some of these new drone license applicants include:

The State Department

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

Barona Band of Mission Indians Risk Management Office (near San Diego, California)

Map of Drone Authorization in USA
Source: EFF

Canyon County Sheriff’s Office (Idaho)

Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office (Northwest Oregon)

Grand Forks Sheriff’s Department (North Dakota)

King County Sheriff’s Office (covering Seattle, Washington)

There are multiple new entities in Ohio alone, including:

Medina County Sheriff’s Office

Ohio Department of Transportation

Sinclair Community College

Lorain County Community College

The list comes amid extensive controversy over a newly-released memo documenting the CIA’s policy on the targeted killing of American citizens and on the heels of news that Charlottesville, Virginia has just become one of the first cities in the country to ban drones. This new list should contribute to the debate over whether using domestic drones for surveillance is consistent with the Constitution and with American values. However, Brennan, the newly Obama proposed director of the CIA, will not answer as to whether or not drones will be used on American citizens.

I couldn’t tell u what I was laughing about but I did feel rejuvenated afterwards. Nothing like a good laugh to make all your stress go away.

If you’re ever in Paris and want to eat good food but want to avoid the stuffiness…this is your place to go.

You don’t have much choice, a set meal of 4 courses or 6 courses. Being the fatty we are, we opted for the 6 courses meal.

Al Gore flunked out of Divinity School at Vanderbilt University, Barack Obama’s grades are kept secret (not too hide his absolutely splendid marks, that is a given), and Joe Biden the genius said that after the stock market crash of 1929, FDR got on the television and told the American people what we were going to do. (Herbert Hoover was President in 29, and the only broadcasts were via radio at the time.) As a “D” student, Chuck Hagel should fit right in with the rest of the liberal “masterminds”. The left loved to rail about the mental capabilities of Sarah Palin and George W. Bush, when the truth is that both Bush and Palin are smarter than Biden, Hagel, Gore, and Obama. However, one has to remember that when one has the intelligence quotient of an eggplant, it really is not realistic to expect them to differentiate between the subhuman and normal. Folks who are not inquisitive enough to ask why the name of the “Global Warming Summit” was changed to the “Climate Change Summit” and still insist on believing in manmade global warming are not the sharpest tools in the shed to begin with. Breitbart.com elaborates on Chuck Hagel’s college career and qualifications for Secretary of Defense: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2013/02/10/Hagel-Went-to-Five-Colleges-Was-D-Student-Media-Oblivious ©Copyright 2013 Shayn Roby

Right now out here in the sticks the two main topics for conversation over Uncle Milo’s card t

Right now out here in the sticks the two main topics for conversation over Uncle Milo’s card table are: where the local high school football stars are going to college and whether last night’s snow storm might be the last big one of the winter.

Nobody mentions the Chuck Hagel nomination for Secretary of Defense, probably because no one from Nebraska will admit to having voted for him. Mr. Hagel is the quintessential Republican In Name Only (RINO). What he was doing in the more conservative of the two political parties is an unsolvable mystery.

Anyway, United States Senators from Nebraska and her neighboring states are almost invariably appointed to some agricultural post, on the theory that everyone from there knows everything about farms. So a Senator from Nebraska even being mentioned in connection with the Pentagon is very strange.

There’s most probably two reasons why King Bam nominated Mr. Hagel for Defense Secretary.

One: Presidents like to have one member from the opposition party in their Cabinet, because it creates an impression of bipartisanship. And it’s a signal to the Washington establishment which cabinet post is least among the President’s priorities. Thus, President Clinton had republican William Cohen as Defense Secretary for a while, and now King Bam wants republican Hagel. Which just goes to show you that democrat Presidents spend approximately three percent of their on duty hours thinking about national defense.

The second reason for Hagel’s selection is that his thinking probably parallels our King’s. It’s no secret that King Bam seemingly has very little appreciation for the finer points of Israel’s right to exist. Mr. Hagel has, on occasion, given voice to, what you might call, anti-Israeli thoughts, such as their “…keeping Palestinians caged up like animals…” and his referral to pro-Israeli groups as the “Jewish lobby”.

So Hagel at Defense is an appeasing signal to the Arab states that Israel has no favored position with the United States of America.

Meanwhile senior Obama Administration officials are saying the number of nuclear warheads in our country’s defense can be cut by AT LEAST one third. Last year Mr. Hagel co-wrote a Global Zero Nuclear Policy Commission report calling for American’s nuclear deterrence to be UNILATERALLY reduced by 80 per cent.

Simultaneously Iran is rapidly enriching uranium for a nuclear bomb. In his documentary, “2016 Obama’s America”, Dinesh D’Souza predicts King Bam will do little to prevent the radical Iranian clerics from getting a nuke. Despite various administration claims that the United States will do whatever is necessary, Mr. Hagel in 2006 said that military action to stop Iran’s bomb production is “…not a viable, feasible, responsible option.”

During one of many instances when Mr. Hagel slipped during his recent confirmation hearing, and perhaps inadvertently revealing King Bam’s real plans, he said he supports the Administration’s position on “containment”. Containment is not prevention.

As it endorsed King Bam’s Presidential nomination, Iran’s Foreign Ministry supports Mr. Hagel’s nomination for Defense Secretary.

During a 2009 interview with Hagel on Al Jazerra, a caller said, “The image of the United States is that of a world bully.” Mr. Hagel responded, “Her observation is a good one.”

The tribal loyalties of the 55 Senate democrats probably means Mr. Hagel will be our country’s next Secretary of Defense, but their republican colleagues are deeply concerned and gave Mr. Hagel a tremendous grilling during his hearing.

Mr. Hagel’s stumbling, bumbling and mumbling answers demonstrate that he will not be the one who can explain why it was immoral to subject terrorists to stressful interrogation during the Bush years, but now King Bam can put on his 007 pants and deal death by drones to hundreds in Pakistan alone, without so much as a warrant from a county judge.
