I love that my work can make me travel. It knows no geographical bounds. And i love that it took me to such a wondrous place like Coorg. The rain+ the coffee estates+ghats+Kadkani ‘riverside resort= a great reason to be outdoors! Experienced the more ‘rural’ side of the Indian hills : home grown veggies+fruits, beekeeping, banana tissue industry and avi’s (nidhi’s grandma) great home food.

Looking forward to my next trip .

I recently had the opportunity to tour the Riverside Resort & campground in Whistler with my blogging buddy Eileen, I was amazed at all of the activities and diversity that they have to offer….

Did you know that you can camp in the winter in Whistler? There are RV hook ups and tent sites available in the winter spread around the 40 acres of land (ask about the RV weekend warrior program or the welcome to Whistler rates).

Do you know that this building is called a yurt & has heat & lights? There are five

what is this building called?

yurts available for nightly rental (starting at prices as low as $59/n), they are located at the Riverside Resort up towards the Scandanave spa, nestled in the trees in a private setting, it has real beds! - what a great, intimate alternative to camping!

Did you know that there is a complimentary shuttle service that runs from Riverside Resort to the base of Whistler mountain? No need to drive your car when in Whistler!

Log cabin rentals starting at $89/n

Did you know that there are self-contained log cabins at the Riverside Resort Campground that you can rent that even come complete with a small kitchen and two sleeping areas. Rates start at only $89/n. A great alternative to a hotel, this provides a rustic Whistler experience.

Did you know that the mini golf located next to the Riverside Resort campground (in Mons, north of Spruce Grove) is made of natural bent grass and that is not artificial turf? A great place to bring the family & practice your putting on real greens. What a great idea for a children’s birthday party activity… mini golf followed by a bbq right on site!

Did you know that there is a great little restaurant on site at Riverside Resort? The breakfast & lunch special were both overwelmingly tastey & reasonably priced.

I will definitely be back again soon to enjoy and explore more at the Riverside Resort!
