John Cage has two ways of thinking that amazes me. One is the noise and the other is the silent. What is amazing about the idea of noise in Cage is that he understands the noise as a sound, without judging it. He really understand not just noises, but life through noise. Who stops to hear the traffic? It is annoying! But it is just because we are judging it before hearing it. To hear is the best way of being in the present. Every sound is mixed with other sounds, and a concrete random mix of sounds happens just one time, just in that present. But there is another way of finding this present: The silent and that is the other part of Cage that amazes me. He uses silent in order to have the same effect, because silent is not possible, there is always some other sound. If you stop for a moment and try to hear the silent, without judging, without being afraid, you will hear things you would never hear.

Dreams, reflections, shadows, illusions… They are all copies from reality, and we are able to perceive them by the senses. They are similar to reality, but is not reality at all. From the beginning of existence, a question about reality has been ask by philosophers. Talking about dreams is talking about everything since we don’t know the limit. That is what Calderon de la Barca was talking about: Everything is a dream, and dreams are just dreams. How can we be so sure that reality is real? I don´t think I can trust my senses, as they seem very incomplete.

Dreams or fictions are productions inspired by real life, they come from reality, and that is why they seem to be so real. But, is it the real world an inspired dream as well? Hume talked about illusions. To explain it, I am going to put the films example. Moving images is a fiction, is just a moving complex and unreal effect created by simple images. Hume explained our conscience like this, he thought that we don´t exist at all, we are complex ideas created by very simples ideas that we put together in order to know who we are, but it is just an illusion. We don´t realize about this because we are very accustom to see ourselves like this and we think that is real.

Real life can be just a dream or an illusion, and we are just making fiction from fiction.

Space has change with the technological evolution, with the passing time and the life changings, so now we have less places to sit in the street because everybody needs to run, we have more shoes shops because people want to consume that and capitalistic system requires it so, forest are transform into urbanizations, etc. Space has change with the years; but something that I see very interesting is that space change also with the different cultures. For instance, houses are completly different in spain and in england. Actually, the most interesting thing about it is that most of the companies that sells space devices or furniture, needs to break this particular caracteristics in each country. That is, different ways of seeing the space is a problem for global economy.

A great example of how a device try to conect with different spaces is Beolab of Bang and Olufsen. It is a Danish speaker which cost 15.000 euros each. I think is interesting to see how this company understand perfectly the psicology of Danish interiors house, but it fail trying to make it work in the houses of the rest of the world. What I mean is that Danish people are more likely to stay at home, because of the weather, than Portuguese people for instance. That has a repercusion in the fact that Danish houses are bigger and have more developed silling rooms than Portuguese houses. The relation between this two concepts is that Beolab is not just a speaker, but it works as well as a modern and beautiful sculpture, and the design is its biggest atractive. Bang and Olufsen closed the year 2008 with economic losts, furthermore, they are losing their danish identity trying to do an universal design who everybody love.
Each place has his caracteristic spacial design and I find interesting how small factors as the weather, the geography or the food can change everything.  Space is not changing just temporally, but culturally.

I saw this some years ago. I am not sure if it is a set up or it is real, sometimes fiction can also reach the real world. This is a Russian video during the Cold War in where they want to show the technological evolution that they have to United Stated. They toke a dog and make his body with mechanical and technological devices, making a kind of biorobotic dog.

This image is a businness card that has been used by Sagmeister and his new partner, to show their aliance. Sagmeister shows that he is not scare to show himself as it is, taking risks and been very clear at: ”We will do anything for design”. I think that this is a great example of a risky and brave design who success.

God has brought Rocio and I together.

Therefore I can conclude that Rocio is God’s good and perfect gift to me; far greater than any person I thought or imagined that I should or would have as a wife. This makes me love her more!

This can apply to anything or any one In your life. Are you unemployed? Having a hard time getting along with your parents? Do you have a debilitating physical or cognitive condition? Did you get into a car accident recently? God commands us to give thanks no matter what circumstance we are in; good, bad, or in-between. This can only mean that there is in fact ample reason to give thanks to God no matter what is going on in our lives.

Usually, the most special people are doomed to be misunderstood, and then time gives them the reason. What I mean is that people are not always right, and they don´t always know what a good design mean. That is why we have to be honest with ourselves and believe in our work, and not be afraid of negative criticism. We have to be brave and work in what we believe in.

The ideas are creations of the maind. Is a gesture from inside to outside. In this way, the opposite to learn is to create ideas. To create is to make something from nothing. An idea is always absolutly original, unique, because it comes from the interior of an individual mind (also unique).

Creation of ideas is one of the most important things in human life, that is, a man is not a man without ideas. Thats why William Morris talked about the need of creative jobs for all the men, where they could use the mind, ideate, and in this way, be happier in life. Ideas is what make humans more human.

Tell us a bit about yourself….

My name is Hunter aka huntertheone aka Waxing Moon aka Mokah Soulfly. My personalities and I are a singer, emcee, writer, poet, and performer. And I’ll mention that Keisha Hunter holds every position that can be a part of a record label and promotion team in addition to a day job at a company that helps nonprofits with fundraising – so keeping with my 3rd person – she stays busy to say the least.

As you have grown within your talent, what inspires you to create?

Life, love, experiences, trials and triumphs. I know it’s pretty cliche’, I feel like at the moment, I’m inspired by the beauty, complexity and simplicity of life and living it.

How long have you been producing your craft and why did you begin this form of expression?

I’ve been singing since I can remember, definitely since I was a youngster in church. My grandmother was the church director and every member of my family, naturally, was a member of the choir, so it made since that I grew up loving music. So, I like countless others, began singing in the church and I’ve come into my own over the years since then.

What do you ultimately want to accomplish with your talent?

I want to touch as many people as I can with a message of hope, love, and light. I want to inspire people to elevate their thinking, to realize that on a broader level, we are all one. I feel like the best way to accomplish that is by just being myself and laying myself on the line in my music. I feel like it will open the door for me to speak my mind on subjects that can be illuminated by the music and it’s power of touching into that universal oneness.

Outside of your artistry, what other interests do you have?

Recently, I’m a social media junkie. I love the ability to not only connect, to also stay connected. I enjoy reading books about consciousness and enlightenment. Spending time doing nothing or anything with my family is always a plus.

What was your first experience with ArtLoveMagic?

I want to say that my first experience with ArtLoveMagic, ironically enough, was girlShow 2010. I’d just gotten into the swing of diving head first into my art, and I thought it was SO amazing. I was destined to be a part of it, I’m sure.
