‘Rolling Stone’ sopla las diez velas

La edición española de la mítica revista de rock celebra su cumpleaños con una fiesta con músicos como Alejandro Sanz, Pereza, Miguel Ríos o Loquillo

“Mientras exista la música existirá Rolling Stone“, afirma Pedro Javaloyes, el director de la versión española de la publicación estadounidense. La pata local del más grande y veterano de los dinosaurios de la prensa rock cumplió este mes diez años en los quioscos (la revista madre se fundó en San Francisco en 1967) y ayer lo celebró con una fiesta y la entrega de los Premios Rolling Stone, instituidos para la ocasión.

Para el evento se eligió la sede madrileña de otra popular franquicia relacionada, al menos en el nombre, con el género: el Hard Rock Café de Madrid. Y se tiró de poder de convocatoria para que acudiera la aristocracia pop española y convertir la alfombra roja en algo que era un poco Los 40 (Carlos Jean, Macaco o Pereza) y un poco Kiss FM (de Marta Sánchez a Coque Malla, pasando por Mikel Erentxun). Además estaba prevista la presencia de famosos pop de otras ramas (el actor porno Nacho Vidal, los escritores Ray Loriga y Lucia Etxebarría o el restaurador Sergi Arola). “Rolling Stone tiene la particularidad de que es la única revista capaz de reunir a las cuatro generaciones del pop español. La única que puede combinar a Miguel Ríos y Pereza. Estos premios están pensados para reunir en un palmarés a todos ellos”, explica el máximo responsable de la publicación.

Con ese criterio la gran estrella de la noche no podía ser otro que Alejandro Sanz, con su nuevo disco Paraíso express recién publicado. El que fuera “capitán de la selección española de rock” en el primer número de la publicación y de nuevo portada en el del décimo aniversario, recibió su trofeo de manos de la ministra de Cultura. “Lo agradezco por esta labor altruista por recordarnos la edad que tenemos”, dijo al recogerlo. Y demostró que esta iba a ser una ceremonia express.

El mismo ritmo acelerado le imprimió Miguel Ríos “Buenas noches, nietos de rock’n’ roll”, dijo, parafraséandose y recordando que mientras él cantaba su himno a la alegría, “la revista aún gateaba”. También fueron premiados Marta Sánchez -”Por haber demostrado que es una cantante de armas tomar”, aseguraron los organizadores-; Pereza (“Para una puta revista de puto rock’n’ roll que hay en este puto país”, comentó Rubén, haciendo gala de lo que cree que significa “mantener vivos los valores del rock star system”; Miguel Bosé (“Un tipo arriesgado capaz de jugársela por una causa”); o Loquillo, que compartió su galardón con su otra mitad en Trogloditas, Sabino Méndez.

Faltaron otros premiados como Manolo García (“Por ser responsable, junto a Quimi Portet, de Enemigos de lo ajeno, el mejor disco de la historia del rock español”, según Rolling Stone); Macaco (“Por haber llegado al rock mestizo a una nueva dimensión”) y Leonor Watling (“Por ser la mejor actriz de una de las mejores generaciones del cine español”).

Adam Lambert’s handlers were wary of Lambert appearing on the cover of the Out 100 issue of Out Magazine. Oh, and they also requested that the interview not be too gay.

Are you kidding me? It’s Out Magazine. It’s like doing an telling someone who’s interviewing with Vogue to not be too stylish.

There were rumblings of Out’s dissatisfaction with 19E’s handling of the interview last week, but Aaron Hicklin’s Editor’s Letter confirms everything. So Lambert was only able to appear on the cover because the straight gay rights activist Cyndi Lauper was also photographed with the group?

Like I’ve said before, I wish we lived in a world where sexuality was never an issue, and I don’t understand why someone’s sexuality is ever considered “news”. No one comes out as straight, so why does one need to “come out” as gay?

I’m sure 19 Entertainment / American Idol can argue they just want Lambert to appeal to “the masses”, but even making such an assumption is pretty ridiculous. Everyone knows Lambert is gay and putting him in photos caressing gorgeous foreign models with lady parts in Details and having him describe that time when he was drunk and went down on a chick in Out isn’t really doing much but infuriating the gay community and giving Lambert’s crazy adult female fans a cruel glimmer of hope.

And many of Lambert’s fans would just claim he’s trying to push boundaries and be controversial, but its not coming off like that, especially to those who don’t think he shits rainbows (And for chrissake, just because I do not think the man shits rainbows does not mean I dislike the guy. He just doesn’t shit rainbows. I don’t know anyone who actually shits rainbows. Maybe Toucan Sam or the Magical Skittles Fairy, they might shit in shades of R.O.Y.G.B.I.V.) If Lambert’s such a boundary-pushing artiste, then why isn’t he telling his management to market him as is — simply, Adam Lambert? Or is this “him”? In an attempt to possibly foster Lambert’s alleged electrifying individuality & knack at pushing buttons, 19E isn’t really doing a great job with their brand-new “superstar pop idol” and Lambert is more or less just proving he doesn’t care what he has to do to be famous.

And a desperation to be famous isn’t ever sexy, gay or straight.

Cue the YOU’RE A SELF-HATING GAY MAN letters to Aaron Hicklin in 3…2…1…

ETA: I’ve finally been able to read more of the Out article and I must say, I am impressed with Lambert’s discussion about his fellow Idol tourmates. I also like learning that HBD “isn’t that religious”. SWEET. But I mean, Lambert even says okay things about Gokey. Anyway, I think Lambert has the right issue about gay vs. straight…but it shouldn’t always be an issue. I’ve said that before. Out Magazine is one thing, but not every interview he does has to be about his sexuality. A lot of interviews with this guy are the same damn thing, just a retread of the over-the-top fawning first seen in the Rolling Stone cover story. Big fraking deal. Adam Lambert is gay. And he went to Burning Man! And he did drugs at Burning Man! OMG.

Ironically, Burning Man is probably one of the few places where sexuality really is a non-issue. I just learned one guy in my camp was gay…yesterday. I had never thought about it either way. Because it just doesn’t matter, and out there, it’s quite telling how the labels we often cling to in the real world simply fade away (Well, furries are still ridiculed…but in a fun-loving way…you can’t NOT ridicule furries, even in Black Rock City). You can have entire conversations with people without ever mentioning what you do for a living or your sexual preference.

Kris seems like a real straight guy.
He is a real straight guy. He’s very straight. He’s just…cute.

He’s pretty.

One of the things that I think is so refreshing and cool about him is that he’s from Arkansas — and this is me being small-minded — I just kinda figured that the acceptance of people like me in Arkansas is probably a lot lower than here. To have someone who is very religious and who feels like that --
That’s the funny thing, is that he’s not very religious, I don’t know where he got that label. Danny [Gokey] is very religious.

Let’s talk about Michael Sarver, who seemed at first to be a religious guy who wasn’t very comfortable with you being gay. But when the tour encountered “God Hates Fags” protesters, he was all over Twitter condemning them and defending you.
He’s got a really good heart, that guy. He does. And I think that he represents a large portion of our country, good people who are just scared of what they don’t know. We didn’t even have that many conversations about it directly, but it’s just another example of acceptance. We just got along with each other. He just wants everybody to like him, and he wants to like everybody. It’s very simple, what his needs are. And I have very similar needs. We cut up all the time, backstage and on the bus. We get along great. I think what he realized was that it doesn’t fucking matter. And he got past that.

Was Danny very religious in a way that made you uncomfortable?
No, never uncomfortable. Danny’s a little bit more fundamental in his views than I think Michael is. And I don’t think his views are going to change. But it didn’t get in the way. We had a number of conversations on religion and morality. And it wasn’t for either one of us to try to convince the other, it was just to kind of learn. He was very cool with that, just having a conversation. We had some really deep conversations about God.

Oh to be a fly on the wall…A Gokey-Lambert conversation about God.?! Ha. That might be hysterical. If this is indeed true, christ, Adam Lambert can put up listening to a lot of bullshit. Much more than I ever could. It’s probably why he hasn’t flown into a public rage over the antics of his batshit crazy fans.

The Decapitator es un artísta urbano de NYC. Su trabajo se basa en intervenir publicidad (posters, billboards, piezas de otros artistas urbanos) en la que las personas/personajes son decapitados. Su proceso es simple: labora una pieza adicional de la parte del arte gráfico a intervenir (en este caso las cabezas) y lo pega encima del original.

Su última obra (y la más interesante hasta el momento) es la edición de noviembre 2009 de la revista Rolling Stone. En la portada Shakira feat The Decapitator. Esta obra también pudo conseguirse como edición limitada de la propia revista (manufacturada por el artista) en la sección de revistas de Barnes & Noble de Union Square en NYC.

Interesante el intervenir éste ícono del mainstream e insertarlo como pieza única en el mercado.

In 1974, Rolling Stone music journalist Jon Landau boosted a then little known musician’s career by declaring, “I have seen the future of rock and roll, and its name is Bruce Springsteen”. Fast forward to 2009 and the future of rock and roll isn’t a person. It’s not even a band. It’s an online music service called Spotify. It isn’t just a game changer for the music industry. It’s a first glimpse of the future of all home entertainment.

Spotify is a music streaming service without the need to buy songs to listen to them. It’s basically Apple’s iTunes, except it’s free. 4 million songs are available and it’s legal since major music labels - Universal Music, Sony BMG, EMI Music, Warner Music – are shareholders. Spotify is an attempt to beat music piracy and it seems to be working.

There is a catch. Australia doesn’t have access to Spotify’s delights yet. The UK, France, Spain, Finland, Norway and Sweden are the current lucky countries. The USA and China will soon have access. However, it’s easy to bypass this tricky geographical problem.

I’ve been using Spotify and it‘s terribly addictive. Remember when you used to make mix tapes for friends, lovers and friends you desperately hoped would be your lover? Spotify allows you to build music playlists and share them with friends/lovers/others who can marvel at your impeccable taste in music. Playlist links can be sent via Twitter and/or Facebook. You can even allow friends to add or delete songs on shared playlists. Recently, Apple approved an application allowing Spotify music to stream directly to iPhones.

The future is now. Some luddites will cling to vinyl records. Some may even persist with CDs. But the majority will listen to music this way once it goes mass market. To be commercially viable, it’s likely all users will eventually have to subscribe. Reliability, convenience and legality means most won’t begrudge paying the approximate $20 monthly subscription Spotify’s premium service costs. I’d certainly subscribe if it was available in Australia.

We won’t own music but will be able to listen to anything any time we want. Movies will be next. And, if Rupert Murdoch and rivals are able to build a similar single point user friendly ‘pick and mix’ delivery system offering a compilation of their individual content, people may be willing to pay for online news. Unfortunately News Corp’s own foray into a similar music system – MySpace Music – is frustratingly clunky so you have to wonder whether they could build a seamless and intuitive integrated online news service that people would be willing to pay for.

However, if the notoriously antagonistic music labels can work together to sell their collective wares surely media companies can see sense in a little collaboration? Better to get a little money from most readers than no money from all.

What do Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin have in common besides their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame status? According to fans of their music, these two soul singers may actually possess the voice of God.

In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, songstress Alicia Keys and Jim James of My Morning Jacket were asked to share their thoughts on these titans of the music industry. Both artists couldn’t help but veer into the spiritual realm while describing what they loved about their favorite artists.

Alicia Keys on the incomparable Stevie Wonder:

“Steve Wonder draws outside the lines. [...] When I was writing my first record, in Harlem, I heard the most chilling, spine-tingling song ever. It was Stevie’s “They Won’t Go When I Go,” from Fulfillingness’ First Finale, which is probably my favorite album of his. No one is that good. He’s blessed by a higher power–he’s on another intergalactic level.”

Jim James of My Morning Jacket on his love for all things Aretha:

“I buy lots of Aretha [Franklin] on vinyl at thrift stores, which is how I discovered her gospel music. One side of her Amazing Grace double album kicks off with a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Wholy Holy” into “You’ll Never Walk Alone” – it’s an incredibly heavy psychedelic experience. Listening to that 12 minutes of music, no matter who you think God is, there is no doubt that God exists. There’s something about her that’s just so natural–like a tree growing or a river flowing or a cloud. It’s just meant to be. Aretha is the sound of God.”

Love her hair on this cover. That is what women should want to attain.

Don’t care what people say, I love LiLo. People need to back off and let her get on with her life. Oh, and she looks amazing at Marylin Monroe.

Elizabethtown, a mediocre movie with an amazing soundtrack

PREVIEW: STREAM “It’ll All Work Out”

Movies would be nothing without music. If chosen right, music can tell just as much of the story as the actors do. No one knows this better than former Rolling Stone editor and current director Cameron Crowe. He has created some of the most epically brilliant soundtracks known to man, or at least, to me.

Among those is the Elizabethtown soundtrack. While the movie, a solemn tale about a young man contemplating suicide, wasn’t exactly memorable, the soundtrack is a fantastically seamless mix of folk, country, rock and indie songs.

Tom Petty’s “Square One” and “It’ll All Work Out” prove to be the perfect accompaniment as Drew (Orlando Bloom) embarks on a road trip with his father’s ashes. Petty’s scratchy, mellow voice matches the half smile on Drew’s face as he looks back on a life of regret. The hopeful lyrics of “It’ll All Work Out” put the viewer at ease and foreshadow the film’s happy ending.

Elton John also appears on the album with “My Father’s Gun.” This lesser-known Elton classic fits perfectly with the mellow, sort of somber tone of the overall soundtrack. Despite being 6:21 minutes, the longest song on the album, compelling lyrics such as “I’d like to know where the riverboat sails tonight/To New Orleans well that’s just fine alright/`Cause there’s fighting there and the company needs men/So slip us a rope and sail on round the bend” make the song fly by.

The indie presence appears with “Don’t I Hold You” by Wheat. Although this faster-paced song seems a bit out of place on the album, it works because of the singer’s somewhat quite, deep voice and drawn-out notes.

Overall Crowe is an inspiring soundtrack producer and the Elizabethtown soundtrack is one of his gems.

I can’t take my eyes off this photo. 

It’s amazing to even think these three can exist in the same space. This is definitely not something you see everyday. 

Yet, at the same time, they’ve all have stuck around for decades. They remain at the top of their game, in one case ahem, 40+ years later. 

I’ve watched two of these men perform live. (I actually watched U2 at the Rose Bowl five days before this picture was taken.)  I’m still working on Springsteen; he’s on my bucket list.

Between them, they’ve earned a combined $835 quad-trill-zillion. Fact! Plus, they’ve won 23 million awards. Another fact! 

For those starting out in a new band, look to these three guys as inspiration. They’ve broken cultural and political barriers. And they’re still kickin’.

Chissà quanti dischi e quanti concerti a scrocco ti fai. Anteprime posti in prima fila o in tribuna d’onore, pre and after parties, interviste con star di ogni livello ed estrazione ecc ecc ecc…

Eppure nel tuo lavoro sei una s**a totale, non vali un c**o  perchè ti perdi il particolare, perchè sei distratto non c’hai voglia e pensi ad altro anzichè pensare quanto sei fortunato ad avere un lavoro a RS.

Oh the good people at GOOD magazine.  Here’s an interesting plot of US oil production compared to when “the best” rock songs were produced (according to Rolling Stone).  The article is here which discusses their method a bit more.

Don’t confuse correlation with causation, people.  That simple sentence is the reason why scientists can get things wrong – they can not think through this basic difference.  But anyway.  Pretty tight trend here huh?

SWEETIES

Whenever I hear someone mention the movie “Sophie’s Choice” my throat gets tight and I feel the water works about to burst. If you haven’t seen that movie then  I am afraid you have not experienced the joys of watching the true essence of acting on film.

On November 11 I had the opportunity to see Meryl Strep in the flesh along with Jason Schwartzman and one of my favorite directors Wes Anderson.  They were gathered together at the Apple Store in Soho to give a talk  moderated by the incredible Peter Travers (famous movie critic from Rolling Stone Magazine) about their new cinematic venture “Fantastic Mr. Fox”.

“Fantastic Mr. Fox” is an adapted animation  directed by Wes Anderson.

The original “Fantastic Mr. Fox” is a book written by the late great Roald Dahl.

It features the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson. It is the first animated film directed by Wes Anderson, and 20th Century Fox’s first stop-motion animated film.

I enjoy filmmakers who are unabashed and think outside of the box . The Squid and the Whale

and

The Darjeeling Limited

are two amazing films so I have no doubt that Anderson will deliver the goods for “Fantastic Mr. Fox.

There were some interesting bits of info revealed during the talk.  Wes Anderson shared that his major cinematic influences are Spike Lee’s “She’s Gotta Have It.

and his Futura font obsession was influenced by  Stanley Kubrick.

During the question and answer period Anderson told the audience that “Fantastic Mr. Fox” was shot using a SLR camera.

For a true film geek like myself this is a tasty tidbit of information to have. Wes shared that the resolution on a  SLR camera is extremely potent. Every frame for every action was captured by a camera that a lot of  people use while snapping pictures on their family vacations.

Jason Schwartzman was the comedic man of the hour. He was cracking witty jokes left and right. I was totally digging his greasy haired nerdy/sexy/ugly swagger.

Although Schwartzman’s hijinks were throughly amusing the highlight of the evening was Meryl. Let me keep it real: It was the reason why I stood up for half an hour. She’s the Bees Knees, the Cat’s Meow, and the FOXES Growl (she actually growled for the audience it was PRICELESS) rolled into one.  She is the quintessential actress.

The highlights were three-fold: 1st when Meryl did her best Fox growl. 2nd when she told the story of how she  had a starring contest with a real fox for 12 minutes while shooting another movie in London BEFORE she had received the offer for “Fantastic Mr. Fox”.  She said “I’ve never had such an amazing interaction with an animal before. My dog won’t even look at me for 5 minutes”.

3) When she told the photographers (who were incessantly snapping her picture and flashing lights in her face) to  CHILL OUT!  She stopped mid sentences while answering an audience member question and swung her head back a bit and gave a slight “round the way” girl neck roll and said in the most regal of voices “will you STOP taking pictures for just one minute please……. I am very distractable (which is not a word but it is MERYL so it can slide) I am trying to hear the question.!” Hands down she should receive an Oscar nod for that performance alone.

According to Rolling Stone “Fantastic Mr. Fox” proves that PIXAR does not have a reign over animation. I whole heartedly second that emotion. Judging from the discussion and clips this animated feature will have PIXAR and DISNEY choking on some well deserved dust.

Da quando l’ha ingrandito, non riesce a smettere di metterlo in mostra. Amy Winehouse è entusiasta del suo seno nuovo di zecca. L’operazione è riuscita perfettamente, la cantante ha avuto il davanzale che aveva sempre sognato. Ma ora non le basta più e sta già pensando di tornare dal chirurgo plastico per ingrandire pure il lato b.

“Amy ama il suo seno. Non riesce a smettere di toccarlo e di farlo vedere ai suoi amici. Dice di sentirsi nuovamente femminile e vuole tornare ad avere delle curve - ha spifferato un anonimo molto vicino a Wino – Pensa che con un’altra operazione e delle protesi al sedere riuscirà ad ottenere il look da pin-up che ha sempre sognato”.

Chi aveva sempre immaginato che la Winehouse si amasse magra e quasi emaciata come Kate Moss, sbagliava. Imbruglia e i Coldplay “Lavorare con Chris? A rischio crisi di nervi”

“Il disco era già quasi pronto e io ho passato 24 ore da incubo, aspettando il parere di Chris e pregando che non cambiasse idea”. Chi parla è Natalie Imbruglia, Chris è Chris Martin, il leader dei Coldplay con il quale ha collaborato per il nuovo disco ‘Come to life’. “Lui è diretto fino alla brutalità: ‘Questa fa schifo, tagliala. Questa è grandiosa. Questa è da rifare’. Ci siamo messi lì a smontare e rimontare i brani daccapo. Il risultato è stato fantastico, – spiega la cantante al settimanale ‘Donna Moderna’, – ma io ho rischiato la crisi di nervi. Una volta non ce l’avrei mai fatta”.  

Rihanna premiata come donna dell’anno

Dal dolore alla creatività il passo è breve. Mentre scriveva il suo nuovo album, ‘Rated R’, Rihanna ha dovuto abbassare la guardia e trarre da un’intimità piena di dolore la forza di esprimere se stessa attraverso la musica. Il dolore è quello provocatogli dall’ormai notissima aggressione ricevuta dall’ex Chris Brown nel febbraio scorso mentre il disco è quello che uscirà il 23 novembre prossimo.  

“Normalmente sono una persona molto controllata e divento vulnerabile quando cerco di parlare di emozioni e fatti personali”, ha detto a ‘People’ la cantante 21enne, al gala tenutosi ieri sera a New York per i Glamour Women of the Year Awards, dove è stata premiata tra le donne dell’anno. Rihanna ha spiegato infatti che l’ispirazione per il nuovo album le è arrivata “dalle esperienze personali mixate con il rock e l’hip hop”. Dopo la sua dolorosa vicenda personale (quello di Brown fu un vero e proprio pestaggio, che le lasciò segni evidenti non solo nell’animo) la cantante ha deciso di parlare alle donne della necessità di non tollerare la violenza domestica per aiutare chi attraversa questo dramma. “Sono una donna, un essere umano. Ho attraversato una situazione reale che riguarda moltissime donne nel mondo ogni giorno. Ed è una bella cosa avere l’opportunità di dare voce a queste donne”.  

Nell’accettare il premio per la donna dell’anno, consegnatogli dalla modella Iman, Rihanna è arrivata sul palco con le lacrime agli occhi (“colpa della Pms (sindrome premestruale, ndr.)”, ha detto scherzando, prima di ringraziare gli amici, il suo mentore Jay-Z, sua madre e sua nonna. Poi ha si è presa in giro per il vestito scelto per la serata: “Come sempre ho deciso di mettermi l’abito più stretto che potevo indossare”, ha detto di fronte ad una platea divertita.

Intanto un portavoce dell’organizzazione Burswood Entertainment Complex ha smentito che ci sia stato un esodo di massa degli ammiratori di Brit al suo concerto a Perth. Questa era solo la prima tappa del tour australiano della cantante. Le altre date previste sono a Melbourne e a Sydney. Si spera che la pop star recuperi la voce…

Madonna stufa di Jesus: ora punta a un modello brasiliano

Piuttosto che risposarmi mi butto sotto un treno!». Parola di Madonna. Le dichiarazioni rilasciate dalla pop star in occasione dell’ultima intervista al David Letterman Show hanno fatto velocemente il giro del mondo e sono sembrate una vera e propria dichiarazione d’intenti. Pare che la cantante, dopo il doloroso divorzio dal regista inglese Guy Ritchie, abbia deciso di dare una svolta alla propria vita: basta alle quotidiani ed estenuanti sedute di allenamento, basta a rigidi e iper- restrittivi regimi alimentari, basta alle troppe regole imposte dalle amate discipline cabala e yoga. Secondo quanto riporta il periodico on-line Metropolitan Post, la regina del pop avrebbe finalmente deciso di godersi la vita. Pare, infatti, che Madonna abbia dichiarato di essersi appassionata al protagonista della nuova campagna pubblicitaria di Martini Rosato, il modello brasiliano Thyago Alves, 24 anni, fisico statuario e magnetici occhi color smeraldo. La predilezione della cantante per gli uomini latini non è certo una novità: nel 1996 Madonna concepì la prima figlia Lourdes Maria con l’allora personal trainer cubano Carlos Leon, un’esplosione di mascolinità e sex-appeal, che la cantante scelse proprio per la «fortunata combinazione genetica».

Molti fra gli amici della cantante sarebbero pronti a scommettere sull’imminente «detronizzazione» del fidanzato «in carica» Jesus Luz, classe 1987, brasiliano e modello di professione proprio come il volto dello spot Martini Rosato, proprio in favore del bel Thyago. Dopo aver smentito il gossip di un imminente nuovo matrimonio con il baby boy-friend, pare che la cantante si sia lasciata andare a confidenze piccanti, svelando le proprie mire: «È molto maschio e decisamente sexy», avrebbe dichiarato, confessando di essersi un pò stancata delle fattezze eccessivamente «bambolesche» dell’attuale boy-friend. are che Madonna abbia addirittura pensato di coinvolgere Thyago in uno dei suoi prossimi video, confidando nella naturale inclinazione dei brasiliani per il ballo. L’interprete di “Nine”, durante una recente intervista, ha dichiarato di amare svariati aspetti del sesso e che nella sua vita ha provato un po’ di tutto: “Negli anni ho sperimentato vari tipi di amore – ha detto Nicole – . Ho esplorato l’ossessione, il sesso fetish, la banalità del matrimonio e della monogamia. Ma mi sto ancora aggiornando”. Sarà contento l’attuale marito, Keith Urban, padre di sua figlia Sunday Rose.

La Kidman ha anche confessato che quando decise di sposare Tom Cruise, conosciuto sul set, i suoi agenti glielo sconsigliarono, affermando che, così facendo, si sarebbe rovinata la carriera: “Sono diventata famosa molto giovane. Lady Gaga, oltre ad essere famosa per la sua musica, è anche conosciuta come un personaggio piuttosto trasgressivo e i testi delle sue canzoni sono spesso espliciti. Lunedì sera, la pop-star, premiata al tredicesimo Annual Accessories Council Exchange Awards, ha dichiarato che il suo accessorio preferito è il preservativo.

Prendendo il premio dalle mani dello stilista Marc Jacobs, Lady Gaga ha colto l’occasione per promuovere il sesso sicuro: “Credo che tutti – ha dichiarato la cantante – debbano ricordare che l’accessorio fondamentale è il condom”.

Settimo figlio senza Brad per Angelina?

Angelina Jolie è una delle attrici più belle e famose del mondo ed è anche una super-mamma: per lei tre figli naturali e tre adottivi ovvero sei pargoli da crescere. Eppure, la star del cinema internazionale sembra non averne mai abbastanza…

Secondo alcune indiscrezioni, riportate dal magazine americano OK!, Angie avrebbe intenzione, dopo aver adottato bambini in Africa e in Asia, di far entrare nella sua già numerosa famiglia una bimba originaria della Siria. Ma stavolta senza l’appoggio di Brad Pitt. Una fonte ha infatti dichiarato che l’attore ha messo in chiaro quanto per lui sia già molto faticoso stare dietro a sei bambini e che non ha nessuna intenzione di averne un settimo: “L’idea di un altro figlio – ha spiegato il bene informato – sembra ridicola ma Angelina è determinata a completare la sua famiglia arcobaleno”. A confermare l’estraneità di Brad al nuovo progetto della compagna, un impiegato dell’ufficio Immigrazione e Naturalizzazione: l’uomo ha raccontato che sulle carte per la richiesta di adozione c’e solo la firma della Jolie.

Che la coppia sia in crisi lo si mormora già da tempo ma voler adottare un bambino senza il consenso del proprio partner non è certo un buon segnale. Intanto però, per un rapporto che sembra vacillare, Angelina ne sta ricucendo un altro altrettanto importante: il padre John Voight ha confermato la notizia di un loro riavvicinamento. I due avevano litigato nel 2001, quando l’attore aveva dichiarato in televisione che la figlia soffriva di problemi mentali. Sembra che lo scorso febbraio, proprio con il supporto di Brad Pitt, Angelina abbia fatto il primo passo e si sia riavvicinata al padre: “Siamo in contatto – ha dichiarato lo stesso Voight all’Us Weekley – ma non in modo regolare. Ci amiamo e questa è la cosa più importante”.

It seems making up isn’t all that hard to do for feuding Aerosmith leaders Joe Perry and Steven Tyler.

A day after Perry declared on Twitter the band is “positively looking for a new singer,” Tyler, the band’s old/current singer, reunited with him onstage in New York, Rollingstone.com reports.

“I just want New York to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith,” Tyler told the crowd Tuesday night. Tylerand Perry then launched into the band’s hit “Walk This Way.”

Still, afterward Perry called Tyler an “acquaintance” and told Rolling Stone the band’s future is still up in the air.

Let’s face it: in the history of movie sequels, the number of times a second installment has outshone its predecessor can be counted on one hand: take Terminator 2: Judgment Day vs. The Terminator, for example, or The Empire Strikes Back vs. Star Wars.  Conversely, some follow-ups have been so horrid as to actually tarnish the value of their originals, e.g. Dumb and Dumber: When Harry Met Lloyd and The Matrix Reloaded.

Michael Bay’s 2009 sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen finds itself somewhere between these two poles.  While not quite on par with the script for the previous film, writers Roberto Orci and Ehren Kruger deliver a plot charged with excitement (car chases, desert shootouts, explosions, mental breakdowns) and a few cool twists thrown in for good measure (a robot in disguise, the death of a major character). The movie’s not flawless, but it’s certainly not the massive dung heap Rolling Stone critic Peter Travers says it is.

Lovebirds Sam Whitwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) are drawn back into the brutal feud waged by the Autobots and the Decepticons.  With the help of the Autobots and their human allies, Sam and Sexy—er, I mean, Mikaela–must stop resurrected baddie Megatron from unearthing the Matrix of Leadership, a key which his superior (known only as “The Fallen”) will use to power the Sun Harvester and destroy the Earth’s sun.

This is a quintessential popcorn flick. Wayne Toth‘s special effects are top-notch, really punctuating the action.   There were only three things I didn’t like about the movie, and all of them concerned characters.  Sam’s mom Judy was annoying, his roommate Leo was insufferable, and Autobot “twins” Mudflap and Skids were offensive and dumb.

In short, if you liked Transformers, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy Revenge.

Primero la loba regreso con su mismo pelo ondulado oxigenado con raices, para su segundo sencillo opto por alasiarselo y peinarselo en cola, pero ahora decidio ponerse este lazo en la cabeza para parecer que trae nido de pajaros en lugar de cabello, muy bien Chakis, sigue asi!
