  Hola! Today is another friday. Time really flies. I just thought “oh, monday comes!”, and now I think “Yeah, weekend comes!”. It is really a contrast. Au demarat activităţile în cadrul Proiectului pentru Educaţie Timpurie Incluzivă (PETI), proiect co-finanţat de Banca Mondială şi Guvernul României, în cadrul Programului de Incluziune Socială.

Proiectul se derulează prin

Unitatea de Management al Proiectelor cu Finantare Externa

Director UMPFE Tiberiu Velter

Coordonator programe Dr. Mihaela Ionescu.

Proiectul pentru Educaţie Timpurie Incluzivă (PETI) are ca populaţie ţintă comunităţi dezavantajate în care există copiii de etnie rromă şi în proiect sunt cuprinse 27 de judeţe cu 100 de grădiniţe.

În cadrul proiectului, se vor  desfăşura următoarele activităţi:

1. dotarea grădiniţelor cu cărţi (60 de bucăţi /grădiniţă) , acţiune care se desfăşoară în perioada 23-30 noiembrie 2009;

2. organizarea programului de formare pe educatie timpurie incluzivă care va începe din martie  2010, la care vor participa  cadrele didactice si  directorii din cele 6 de grădiniţe cuprinse in proiect şi din comunităţi apropiate;

3. va fi elaborat un ghid cu trei module pe tematica Educaţie incluzivă (cu accent pe educaţie interculturală) ce va fi distribuit tuturor participanţilor la formare din toate cele 27 de judeţe.

4. distribuţia unor materiale promoţionale privind proiectul: afişe, pliante ;

5. distribuirea către copii a unor:caiete de desen  şi creioane colorate

Aceste materiale vor fi distribuite prin ISJ Maramureş către grădiniţele cuprinse în proiect.

Yesterday I received my new pin from Romi. I have 3 of hers already, but I wanted one of the swirls. This is so simple, yet so effective – just a swirl of metal (mine is nickel) which you poke through the shawl or jumper or whatever and twist.  I hoped it would come in time to take it away with me and it has:

Here it is on a sample of the cloud cashmere, which arrived the day before.  I also have a bit of white and a bit of bright pink, and it is set to become a gillet/bodywarmer/whatever you want to call it!

And the fun thing is an original cartoon from Alex. let me explain before I show you…

We have two local papers up here.  One, Orkney Today, is better for news and the other, the Orcadian, is better for adverts.  And the Orcadian also has a cartoon strip called The Giddy Limit, by Alex.  These are always funny, often hilarious, and tell you a lot about Orcadian life. (In case you don’t know the expression, ‘that is the giddy limit’ is a phrase which shows something is extreme, usually in a good sense, but not always!!)

A few weeks ago the strip was about knitting – number 215 on Alex’s site.  It is the original of this I have bought, and here reproduce it with his blessing:

Between times I have been packing for my trip.  I leave home tomorrow afternoon for Inverness, where I am staying with a friend until Friday.  After that I will be away from the net for three weeks.

So my darling friend Romi, of romisays.wordpress.com was gracious enough to be my first guest blogger (I just so happened to be hers). I don’t blame him; I’m the same way. I have a weird phobia of fish. Throw me in a lake and as soon as I see one of those slimy buggers, I get the f*%$ out of there but take me to an aquarium and I’m fascinated, sticking my nose against the glass. Same difference, right?

Anyways, my buddy Harper spoke at an ethnic media awards dinner in Toronto this weekend and he had this to say: “We believe strongly that Canadians’ freedom is enhanced when journalists are free to pursue the truth, to shine light into dark corners, and to assist the process of holding governments accountable.”

After the speech, Harper refused to answer questions from the media.

Hmmm…

A deep respect for the democratic nature of journalism or a slave to the “not in my backyard” ideology? I would argue the latter.

Unshackle yourself from the PR machine responsible for your existence / power, Mr. Harper. Relying on publicity stunts won’t make you look more human. Singing a Beatles song and goofily clapping while Indian dancers perform around you will not allow you to magically acquire Obama-charm in the eyes of Canadians.

Try transparency on for size.

Hola! What came to my mind is that when you are in a blue mood, how do you help yourself dump away the  blue feeling? I always eat sweet deserts such as cake, candies, and so on to help me feel better. How about you? I’d love to know YOUR ways of releasing bad feelings.

181109 // Cenamos en lo de Vero con Romi y Euge.  Por Dios lo que nos reimos. Muy buena la anécdota de como nuestra amiga médica salvó la vida de una mujer que se desmayó en un avión mientras iban a Brasil y de como tuvo que llenar un formulario médico al llegar al país vecino en portugués. Es nuestra heroína.

Pero más allá de eso nos leimos todas las Ohlalas que tiene Vero, vestimos a Vero para una fiesta y nos deleitamos con las delicias light que sabe prepararnos Euge.

Un anoche inolvidable.

”o avere inestimabila”

un domn cu blog a vazut ultima editie a emisiunii top gear (cu masini)  – cea filmata in romania -,  s-a intristat pentru ca in tara exista multi romi care ne strica imaginea, dar a reusit sa gaseasca resurse de mandrie nationala. iata cum:

(…) Apoi, am ajuns la concluzia că străinii ne consideră o ţară plină de ţigani şi, culmea, chiar au motive să o facă. E o prejudecată pe cît se poate de răspîndită, pe atît de falsă. Dar cînd oamenii se rătăcesc în drumul spre munte şi nimeresc într-un sat de ţigani, cînd de-a lungul drumului văd doar ţigani pe marginea şoselei sau în căruţe, începi să-i înţelegi.

O remarcă a lui Clarkson mi-a lăsat un gust amar: “This country is full of gypsies” (subiectiv.ro)

invinuirea minoritatilor (strainilor) pentru problemele tarii este o poveste veche. dar aici e mai mult decat atat.  in cazul asta (cititi, cu atentie frazele de mai sus) bloggerul exprima cu multa claritate ca simpla existenta a minoritatilor ridica o problema. evident, remarca amintitului clarkson (facuta din goana masinii) este in mare parte incorecta d.p.d.v. statistic (tara nu e „plina” de cetateni de etnie roma), dar un fapt nu poate fi contestat: neoficial, exista 2,5 milioane de cetateni de etnie roma in romania. aparent, bloggerul nostru are o problema cu asta. mai mult, el face o legatura rapida intre cetatenii de etnie roma si infractionalitate. de ce? amintitul clarkson nu vorbeste despre infractionalitate, el doar vede multi ”tigani”. bloggerul nostru se gandeste insa in mod automat la infractiuni si la problemele romaniei:

Am spus-o şi o repet: nu am o problemă cu ţiganii muncitori, cu cei care vor să trăiască mai bine, am o problemă cu minorităţile care se ocupă doar de cerşit, de furat, de dat în ca.

Şi problema mea cu “Borat-land” şi cu “gypsy-country” este că, tocmai din cauza acelor ţigani care fură şi dau în cap prin Europa, suferim toţi, nu doar ţiganii cinstiţi – care, apropo, există şi sînt chiar foarte mulţi. (subiectiv.ro)

in acest timp, ne spune ca nu are prejudecati.

plecand de la micile observatii facute in treacat de protagonistii emisiunii top gear (cu masini), bloggerul decreteaza – tarisoara noastra e ”in rahat”. e neclar de ce suntem in rahat, bloggerul nu ne explica prea detaliat partea asta. el gaseste in schimb un izvor de intelepciune in comentariul unui cititor care reinterpreteaza sclavia:  ”ce diferenţă economică era între ţiganii robi şi ţăranii români? Am o idee: niciuna!”.

in final, tocmai cand credeam ca lucrurile sunt pierdute, primim si un motiv sa ne simtim increzatori in destinul tarisoarei – ”averea inestimabilă de care dispunem”. care o fi asta? well, daca ati invatat la scoala inainte de ‘89, sub propaganda comunista, despre bogatiile romaniei, atunci ramane asa cum s-a stabilit atunci. o sosea peste fagaras si toate formele de relief imbinate armonios sunt motive de mandrie.

Yesterday, before I went to sleep I was remembering old cartoons I used to watch when I was a child, heidi being so old and one of them.  Not sure any of you remember it, or saw it when you were kids but that inspired me to put this outfit together. Heidi wasn’t a redhead and lol, I don’t plan to look 5 years old here, but I had little images in mind like praries, wood shacks, quilts, big chunky socks and wedges and honey colors, trying to make  a sweet look, quirky and discretely odd. The odd detail being in the leopard bra peeking and contrasting with the checkered dress and other patterns. I guess I wanted a look that expressed an artsy girl’s, carefree spirit, inspired by folklore-ish culture. Dunno if I’m expressing myself clearly, but I can never explain how I see clothes anyways. pft. I am going redhead for a few days and I’m loving it. Muahs, Happy saturday. <3 Uma

I’m loving the feeling of warmth in pieces like ear muffs and scarfs and big comfy coats and boots lately. Yeah, not as much as in rl, since I can still feel the cold but one of my favorite things is dressing accordingly to the seasons in sl. In winter I love seeing pixel snow and layering like a mad girl and in the summer..wear as less as I can..even though there’s exceptions here and here. So Antonia Marat’s contribution to fifty lindens friday just made my day. Couldn’t come in a better moment and it was all I needed to put this together and feel like a lil’ bear. “Eu as rezuma asa: cine voteaza cu Basescu… alcoolici, tiganii [...] prostituatele, probabil, desi ma indoiesc ca prostituatele vor vota cu Basescu, avand in vedere cum arata“.  Declaratia apartine lui Ludovic Orban.  Acum cativa ani era cu femeile care trec prin paturile barbatilor ca sa ajunga la functii politice. Dar dupa ce a mai vazut ce si cum se mananca politichia, a mai stat un pic pe fotoliul de ministru, s-a gandit mai bine si a revenit in forta, adaugand pe lista noi categorii. 

Si e in acord cu ideile larg raspandite de politicieni – vezi Basescu si “tiganca imputita”, “pasarica”, “gaozar”. CNCD-ul s-a autosesizat si il acuza de discriminare. Dar ceva amenda nu primeste? Ca tot e criza si lipsesc bani de la buget… Uite, astia ar trebui taxati, si nu prostitutatele. In cateva luni am aduna un banutz, mai serios, la buget.

Nu mi-a fost frică niciodată de bau bau Dar mi-a fost frică de ţigani.Ei reprezentau răul ce m-ar fi aşteptat dacă aş fi încălcat regulile mamei.De ce alesese mama,să fie ei bau bau-ul meu ,nu ştiu,dar cu toată frica, mă furişam până la gară pe înserat,şi-i priveam pe corturari cum se pregăteau de înnoptat pe izlazul de după linia ferată.Nimic din ce vedeam acolo,nu justifica răul.Ochii mei de copil vedeau ţigani aşezaţi în jurul focului,cântând,meşterind la cazanele lor,fuste colorate învârtindu-se în hore.Vedeam o libertate,o viaţă fără nicio îngrădire,fără nicio grijă.Aşa am văzut şi am gândit atunci,o imagine deformată,a unei minţi crude.Mai târziu am văzut şi îngrădirile.În clasa la fiica mea,era un băieţel ţigan.Scoală cu pretenţii ,iniţiatoare a sistemului de învăţământ “step by step”, trebuia să respecte şi ea programul de integrare a romilor în societate.Îl respecta scriptic,că faptic pe acel copil îl găseam mai mereu stând cuminte,uneori plângând,pe băncuţa din hol.El era cel pedepsit cam pentru toate năzbâtiile şi conflictelor copiilor.Conflicte,care de regulă,nu erau generate de el.Dar el era cel exclus,el era cel ce purta vina.Aseară,îl ascultam pe Potârcă( candidat la preşedinţie),povestind că, nevestei lui nu i s-a permis accesul la Intercontinental.Invitat la Tatulici în emisiune,a trebuit să facă faţă şi ironiilor primite din partea anumitor politicieni prezenţi acolo.Nu ştiu de ce se mira aşa tare doamna de la PDL  în legătură cu obţinerea semnăturilor,fiind în cunoştinţă de cauză ,ştie câţi muci de puradei au lins  candidaţii la localele trecute în schimbul obţinerii voturilor şi probabil la fel s-a întamplat şi acum.Nu vreau să vorbesc despre ce şanse are Potârcă la alegeri,candidatura lui are totuşi o logică.Să învăţăm să oferim şanse egale la toţi şi pe urmă să aruncăm cu piatra.
