One of the things about Bukit Panjang is that it is deceptively close to the city. You could probably reach Orchard Road from Bukit Panjang Plaza in about, 20 minutes, maybe? I remember two years back that it used to cost me less than S$10, but I’m thinking the cab fare will be around S$11 – S$13 now. The nearest MRT station would be located at Choa Chu Kang, and you’d have to take a bus or LRT to get there. Bukit Panjang’s actually a great place to stay if you’re working in Orchard Road due to the lower rent and distance.

I was reaching for the soluset when Carol picked up the receiver in the nurses station. I did not buzzed but it alarmed anyway.

The patient & I looked at each other and said “WHAT?!”

I did not press the buzzer, the patient saw it. The intercom is not sensored, so there’s no way that it will buzz on its own (but it did anyway).

Amusing and scary.

Since I’m staying near Choa Chu Kang, I’m quite familiar with the area. If you’re interested to know a bit more about the area, here’s the Wikipedia site you can go to. Two train stations run through it, Choa Chu Kang MRT and Yew Tee MRT. If you’re taking a cab from CCK MRT to Orchard Road, it would take you roughly 25 – 30 mins and set you back S$14 (I think, after the annoying price hike).

Because it was ingrained into my mind, heart and soul to not be gay, I was terrified of what would happen to me when and if it happened. I spent many years trying to push it away, but would find myself finding outlets for my sex drive. I was yearning for some kind of lovin’ no matter how it came.

At an early age I started to cyber. I would go online and I would find chat rooms and would video with men. I would create a fantasy for them and would give them what they want. You would ask then how a young girl would know so much of what happens during a sexual act… Well the first time I watched pornography was when I was 10 or 11. I can’t truly remember the age. I remember how it was imprinted to the back of my mind forever. It was two women having sex with each other.

Once again people will say “Nope that’s why she likes women!” and once again I would have to have you look down and see that there is no ground below you and you would fall off the cliff!

This first image of pornography was very VERY disturbing to me. I didn’t understand why two women were having sex with each other. Also two women that were sisters. It wasn’t possible in my mind. First men and women only have sex and second why would two people that are related have sex with one another? I couldn’t understand it! But that was my first taste. Then I started to search out pornography online. Anywhere I would find it I would eat it up!

I would search it out more and more each day! This is how I was able to give a person great fantasy of what they wanted, of what they needed for the time being. I loved being able to get men so aroused! It was fun to me and I would get a good time out of it. Now the whole time this would happen my parents never said a thing to me about what was wrong or right when it came to sex. My parents also didn’t stop what my sisters and I looked up or watched online. Since they didn’t understand the English language well nothing made sense to them. So I was able to get online late at night and do whatever I wanted without having anyone bother me.

I had such a high imagination. Even after I would get off-line I would still imagine of having sex with a person. I remember before falling asleep I would fantasize about being with people and having sex with them. Now to make it alright with having sex with women in my fantasies I would become a man in them. That’s how I would make my illusions ok. I believed it was still ok to do so because I wasn’t falling into sin if I was a man having sex with women.

I enjoyed my fantasies. I loved creating these stories when I was loved. I loved being loved. It felt so nice to have these women love me. But on the exterior I pretended to like boys. I even pretended to like a boy in my church when I was younger, only because all the other girls liked him too. But to this day I can’t remember having any kind of butterflies in my stomach like I had for women.

Well lovies that’s one more for the books! Come back again and I will give you some more!

XOXO

Our guest rooms are all in converted farm buildings behind the main house. We’d much prefer to be less literal – to have you open a creaky old door and be surprised to find the king-size bed, the big Jacuzzi, the gas-log fireplace, the art, the books – but since you insist…

Just down the walk from the main house, had been Dr. Ballou’s office where he saw patients and stored medical supplies in earlier days. Now we “store” books in a cabinet which formerly served as private club/speakeasy liquor lockers. Three misty watercolor nudes gracefully replace anatomy charts.
$150 Sunday-Thursday nights, $175 weekends/holidays

The Weigh Station has a queen-size bed. All other rooms have king-size beds. No telephones, no TVs (but if you must watch that game, there is an old set in the library). And we do have broadband wireless access in the library and on the porch.

The nightly rates listed – weekdays / weekends & holidays – are for two people and include full breakfast. Add $50 for each extra guest. (After all, the beds are very big!) Pets are welcome if they are clean and quiet and can hold their liquor. There is a pet fee of $25 per visit. Guests are responsible for picking up their “litter.” (Children, on the other hand, must be leashed and muzzled!)

There is dust on my desk.

A greasy white powder that reappears again and again, taking over in the place my elbows like to rest. It gathers faster than the dry, grey stasis that covers unmoved objects in a thin sheen of time. I have never seen a single spec of this dust fall to the desk, but between glances and fluttering eyelids, it builds grain by grain. If I abandon my watch for more than a minute or so, the left side of the desk will be covered in that odd, powdery dust.

Feeling it deserves closer observation; I take the orange tank from behind my mirror, lay back and turn the valve. Before taking the mouthpiece between my lips, I let my eyes first prick, then numb. Though I can no longer see it, the clock on my wall continues to mark each second with a tick, both a prologue and an epilogue for every passing moment. If I listen very carefully, I can make out the Space Between. It is dim, and brief, but I see it now. With my eyes still eggy and blank, the Space can only widen through the tiny manipulations of my ears. My arms are lost, most of my limbs have become heavy and immobile. I can feel them as dead weights upon my shoulders and hips. I fear for a moment that my bloated tongue may fall back in my throat, but I can taste the everpresense of an empty mouth and this comforts me.

The mouthpiece lies beside me, but my arms cannot bear the inches to reach it. No matter.

Each second is now a palatable sensation. The tick of the second hand reverberates as if it were voiced by a stranger to the sound, just a little slow and ponderous. Between Tick and Tock, the Space is now an audible hum. I lay back for a minute more, my ears becoming still lighter and sharper. Soon, satisfied that I am able to use the time I have; I force myself to exhale all the air I can in a single staccato breath, and bring the mouthpiece to my lips. Thirsty. I gulp the air. Sitting up, straight as the laced, I can feel the meat of my legs again, and the burn from the recent effort of my arms fades. Turn.

Both the clock and my heartbeat have become a single drone. Soft hazes of grey billow about the room, their particles batter and rest upon every surface.

Soft hazes of grey billow about the room, their particles

On a cart at the Albero Plant & Garden Festival is the Fallen Tree 01 from [Rooms]. I own this and love it — I use it in my forest skybox (photos at the bottom) and it’s really a great piece that comes with many features (as you can see from the photo below). There is a scared cat hiding in the tree itself — click it and it gives a sad little meow. The flower that is growing on the fallen tree will burp particles when clicked, which is surprisingly fun. And you can change the textures on both the pillows and the grass itself. Really, it’s very versatile. And just 9 prims! Also included as a separate piece is a little picnic basket (this adds 7 prims), which is nice. All in all, it does a lot for 350L and is worth every penny, in my opinion. Head over to the festival and pick this up!

Darayonan is a Cuyonon word that means a place to stay. The lodge is situated in a residential part of Coron town, strategically located along the National Highway. Darayonan Lodge aims to provide its guests with clean and comfortable rooms, good food and quality service. Aside from that, one has options on choosing the rooms to stay at: in the native bamboo, sawali and banig set-up or in the modern concrete and tile two-story building.

Darayonan Lodge is an accredited tourist inn by the Philippine Department of Tourism. It has played host to a number of VIP’s and celebrities, the most notable of whom are Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and then U.S. Ambassador Francis Ricciardone. In fact, Congressman Baham Mitra was amongst the guests of the lodge during our stay from October 21-24, 2009.

What is striking about this place aside from its homey atmosphere is the owner’s love for the arts. It definitely is a reflection of the owner’s strive in achieving perfection in everything. From the lodge’s interior decorations to the food being served for each meal. He personally goes over every little details right before being served or handed over to the guests. We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights; and it was a part of the overwhelming positive experiences that I have had during my stay in Coron, Palawan.

The place is clean all the time! They see to it that the rooms and private comfort rooms get cleaned everyday during your stay. They also make sure that the entire lodge is spic and span all throughout the day. I have never seen any litter at all in my entire stay.

The facilities in this lodge pass the normal standards of travellers: hot and cold shower, all air-conditioned rooms, centralized water system. It’s like you never left home at all. I’ve had a comfortable stay at this lodge.

It’s also probably the only lodge that includes breakfast for two along with the daily room charge. And what’s more, drinking water and coffee is unlimited, no extra charge. I should say that staying at Darayonan is really a value for your money.

Darayonan Lodge has facilities and amenities as follows:

Cafe which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner

Choice of fan or air-conditioned rooms

Queen-sized beds, single-sized beds plus two extra beds if necessary

21″ colored television sets on all their rooms

Refrigerator/Mini Bar

Closets

Writing desk cum dresser with mirror

Bigger rooms with higher ceiling

Bigger bathroom

Veranda

Darayonan Lodge not only offers bed and breakfast for travelers. In fact, they also arrange tours/trips for you so you’d have a grand vacation for you or your family or even with your friends. They have enticing packages which includes everything (accommodations/rooms, land transfers from and to Busuanga, food and tours) and you won’t have to worry a single thing about your vacation. Every single detail of your vacation will be taken cared of at rates that would suit your budget. Group or barkada packages also await travelers who wish to visit Coron in groups or together with their families and loved ones. Darayonan Lodge does not have a website at this point in time.
For the first time in three years, I’m going all out to decorate for Christmas. We lived in G

For the first time in three years, I’m going all out to decorate for Christmas. We lived in Georgia for the last three years and we always came back to Texas for the holidays (usually for an extended period of time) so I never saw much of a point in doing any decorating. I usually just put out a couple of feather trees, some little Christmassy things and that was it.

NOW, Mama’s in her own house, we’re only going to Houston for about a week and I’m going full tilt! Here’s the game plan:

Dining Room: Rustic “Lone Star Christmas” theme. I have a bucket of cotton bolls that I picked from a cotton patch next to my grandparents’ house in West Texas and I’m putting together a garland that’s either going to go on the window or china cabinet (wherever it’s easier to get it to hang and stay). The garland three strands and is prelit with clear lights. I’ve wired in a garland with cotton bolls on it and Texas themed ornaments. I have Texas themed stuff that’s always in there and then I also have this adorable little “Cowboy Christmas Tree” (as Aidan called it). It’s a Christmas tree with a cowboy hat on, a rope as garland and chili peppers, horseshoes and other cowboy things as ornaments. So cute! I got it at this cute TINY little shop in Flatonia called Rhinestone Angel.

Playroom: “I’m dreaming of a pink Christmas” Yep, this room is all for Aidan! I got a 3-4′ white Christmas tree from the rummage sale I organized at the school where I taught last year. I found a gorgeous collection of pink princess and ballet themed ornaments (called “Sugar Plum Fairy” appropriately enough) at Hobby Lobby and bought a mess of them. I found pink Christmas lights and ordered a pink and sequined tree skirt from Kohl’s. I’d like to find some cheap pink boas and intertwine them with some white garland to go on the windows.

Living Room: “A Glamorous Christmas” Since Ryan and I got married, (six years ago last Sunday) we’ve had a “hand-me-down Christmas.” What I mean by that is, very few of our Christmas decorations were our own, everything was given to us as hand-me-downs by his grandmother. While they were nice and all, they just weren’t my style. The old tree got tossed a few years ago after it spent too long outside (here’s a tip, don’t try to store a Christmas tree outside…bugs LOVE them!) This year, my mom and I went to Garden Ridge and I got a new tree and all new ornaments. I got a 7′ tall, thin pre-lit tree with lime green (not bright lime, more of a dirty lime) and rich red ornaments. Lots of crystals, birds, feathers, glitter and a gorgeous green silk tree skirt. I also have green and red ribbons to go down the tree. My tree topper is a gorgeous angel with a green silk dress on. Today at Homestead Handcrafts, I found a GORGEOUS green and red feather wreath for $18! I swear I thought it was a misprint! I snatched that sucker up in a heartbeat like I was robbing a bank!

Elsewhere: Around the house I have a few other random Christmas things. On the entry hall table I have my Santa Clauses. I have 3-4 Santas so they’ll go there. I got a red vintage Christmas table cloth for the kitchen table and a vintage Santa Claus cup towel for the oven. On the Brylane Home website, I found this great wrought iron stocking stand (which of course is on sale now). We don’t have a fireplace or mantle so I needed a place to put our stockings. I also got an ornament tree because I collect an ornament or two every year that represent our year (and then Ryan’s grandmother usually gives us some as well). Since I’m going with a theme on the tree I needed somewhere to put my ornament collection.

Ryan made me promise not to do any decorating until Thanksgiving is over so I’ve been working on getting it all out, organized, made and ready to go for next week! My goal is to get it all done by December 14. Why December 14, you may ask? To be done in time for the Nesting Place Christmas Tour of Homes! I can’t wait!!

The house project of my parents are on the way… Except for some of the details on which they have decided on, the design is something that I have imagined before. The project dragged because of budget and budget… and as much as I want to pitch in “big-time,” but I could only give so much. The “rule” in getting the design done is… “whoever want something done, then let it be their bucks…”
Well, I have some misgivings on that part…. I cannot really “demand” or at least suggest on the most instances…

But anyway, I saved the best of my suggestions for last….

Like the white tiles (and the vision of this homey living room):

The asian-inspired bedroom, something like this (if not the paded headboard, then it could be a folding divider):

the house is “open” (no partitions yet), but i hope to separate the bedroom and living room with this:

I like capiz shell lights like this:

And Mama would sure love this nice curtain:

The pocket of garden will (hope!) look like this (minus the steps):

or for small budget garden, this is also great:

Last night, I decided to look up a few pictures of interior design instead of studying. I like looking at that sort of thing because it makes me dream of the day when I’ll have my own place and I’ll be able to decorate it with my crazy, colorful spirit.

Don’t get me wrong: I do live in a house I could paint and decorate, but I know I’m just living here temporarily until I graduate. Because of this, I didn’t really decorate it. Fact is, I have itchy legs. I always move from place to place. But I think that in 3 years, I’ll be settled in a place where I know for sure I could live in for a bit (if I choose well). So I could decorate then.

Here are the few pictures I put together last night. I’m going to number them. Please leave a comment to tell me which picture is your favorite. That would mean a lot to me!

I think my style rests somewhere between modern design and bohemian style. Talking about bohemian style, I found this amazing website that I strongly recommend. It shows various exemples of caravan bohemian interior design. It’s beautiful!

Well, on this, I have to go study. I hope you enjoyed this post, and don’t forget to comment. Have a good day!

Paint is a very common way to change any room in your home; it has the ability to change any dull room into a nice eye catcher. Many people like the effect paint has in many of their rooms in their home. Paint can be used anywhere and on anything just about. Using different ways of applying the paint will result in different textures and looks.

Prior to painting anything you need to decide upon the color that you want. Brighter along with darker colors tend to appear strong on walls, ceilings, and woodwork. Prior to buying a bunch of paint just get a small sample and paint a small area to be certain that the color is right. If you plan on having the color you choose for awhile then it would be best to buy more then needed so it will match at a later date if you happen to need it.

I find it easier to paint woodwork with a brush and walls and ceilings with a roller and a sponge for the closer jobs. You need to pick a few brushes or rollers that are different sizes so you can use them in the middle and the close to jobs.

When you are finished it is I good idea to wash all of your brushes in the right solvent, this will be stated on the side of the paint can. While you are painting and you need a break, store your painting tools in a plastic bag by doing this it will prevent your brushes and things form drying. If you happen to be done painting for a day but are finishing the next day you can also store your brushes in a bag and seal it, you can choose to put them in the freezer for the night.

I think you loved the article above. I also writes on bedroom colors and paint and 2009 color paints
