AJ Had Sickle Cel Disease

TMZ.com is reporting that Sickle Cell Anemia may have played a significant role in the death of Ashley “A.J.” Jewell, the ex-fiancé of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burress.

       Fulton County Associate Medical Examiner Dr. Kelly Rose tells TMZ preliminary autopsy results led her to believe that A.J., who died two weeks ago after a strip club brawl, suffered from the life long blood disorder that inhibits oxygen flow to tissues in the body. 

       Police say Ashley ”was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and he received a severe blow to the head,”  Police Lt. Keith Meadows told the Atlanta TV station WBSTV. Immediately following the fight, Ashley was taking to a hospital where he later died.

Sickle cell anemia is a disease passed down through families in which red blood cells form an abnormal crescent shape. (Red blood cells are normally shaped like a disc.).  Sickle-cell disease may lead to various acute and chronic complications, several of which are potentially lethal.

Atlanta native and singing superstar T-Boz of TLC, famously also suffers from sickle cel anemia, which has affected her career for years.

Burress is still morning AJ’s death, but according to Bravo – it will not interfere with the taping or airing of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta ” reunion special scheduled to air in two parts starting at the end of October.

T-Boz and Chilli of TLC

Yesss the four-time Grammy award winning and trendy ladies of 1990’s are back in action.  TLC is set to hit the stage in Las Vegas for the first time in seven years; that is first time on U.S. soil in seven years.  According to People, this event is set to take place October 17th at the Las Vegas’s Mandalay Bay Events Center.  Chilli and T-Boz the last remaining members of the threesome will be playing at the “Justin Timberlake and Friends” concert, which is a benefit concert hosted by Justin himself.

So the official designer of Cilli’s new website has run into some problems it would seem. He got the job of designing the new website for her to promote her new album. He has it all designed, and now he can’t reach her manager. It would seem her current manager Tricky Stewart has been falling short. The web designer stated earlier today that he is worried her album will be coming out independently without any major distribution. Sadly with a manager that is not staying on task, it will be hard for this new music to see the light of day.

The designer of the site dropped the link for it anyway so that fans world wide can see it.

The designer was also responsible for putting together her official myspace page. Apparently if he doesn’t hear from her soon he’ll have MySpace take everything down, effectively ending all promotion for the upcoming album.

It’s a sad day today in the land of Cilli fans. I was truly anticipating this album to the fullest.

On son Tron:

“Tron is funny; he has a lot of talents but he’s only 10, so the one thing I refuse to do is get him out there into doing television and stuff like that. I have very good examples around me and the main thing is that I’ve always wanted to be a mommy. I love it so much and so I’m always trying to be the best mom for Tron–and even if I had other kids. People don’t realize that they don’t ask to be here; you choose to have them and God blesses you with these wonderful babies and you should just love them to no end. So I just don’t understand people having kids and not being great parents to their babies…..

On Motherhood:

It’s hard to balance [career and being a mom] but it’s not a struggle because Tron is first. I put him before I put myself. I’ve never had a nanny. I’m not saying people don’t need help but I don’t do that because I want to do everything for him myself. But he’s just first. It’s a lot of things that I’ve turned down because I chose to put my baby first.”
