RSS Feed Button

Internet users subscribe to what interests them.  To do this they add an RSS feed to the blogs, new sites and website who choose to syndicate their content for more viral reach to be sent the information automatically in their RRS feed.

RSS or some think it is RRS feed, stands for Really Simple Syndication, or I have also heard it called Rich Site Summary, and is an overlooked tool in the CMO’s bag of social media tricks.  It is easy, done at no cost, plus you get lots of exposure.  It is great way to get your brand message out. 

Marketers can use it by creating offers and  give information to customers who really want info from them.  What I like about it is that it is an automated way for a CMO and company to distribute  content,  info, news to other websites who want to carry your feed.  It is also a great was to get the word out beyond Twitter and Facebook  to social media fan-sites.

Use RSS for your product and services web pages, blogs  to grow your organic content in the blog space.  Y0u have seen RSS on many pages and mostly did not know what it was or how to use it. It is the little orange RSS icon  on the page and it tells others that your website has an RSS news feed that they can access for no charge and use it as they want.

 It is a no brain-er.  Do it.

This way if you have an RSS feed option, then those who subscribe get your new updates as soon at they happen pushed to them.   The reader loves it, since they have all their info they want coming to them in one place.  The RSS feed is consumer Nirvana , if you ask me.

Do not think of this as a substitution for email marketing, is an add on marketing channel to explore and develop. Checkout Yahoo and Google who both have RSS tools,  or  look at  http://www.Simplefeed.com who can also offer add ons like email for your feeds.  It is also growing due to its ties to social media.  This is a key strategy for overseas programs and websites, where RSS is must more excepted and used.

Die Redakteure von CHIP Online haben eine meiner Meinung anch sehr kompletten Sammlung von 100 Tools, Programme und Spiele zusammengestellt, die bei niemandem im CD-Software-Archiv fehlen darf. Die CHIP Online Open-Source-DVD enthält Tools aus den Kategorien Filesharing, Internet, Multimedia, Office, Spiele, Sicherheit und Windows-Tools.
