<p><a title="Blue Cat Audio" href="http://www.bluecataudio.com/Main/Home/" target="_blank">Blue Cat Audio</a> has been around for a few years, I’ve used some of their free plugins in the past and I would recommend them over some of the included DAW plugins. Blue Cat came back on my radar when they announced RTAS (Mac + PC) Beta versions for their Freeware Plugins Pack.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Nunca fui muito jeitoso com essas coisas de ferramentas e mecânica, mas resolvi postar aqui dois RTA&#8217;s (&#8220;recursos técnicos alternativos&#8221;, também conhecidos carinhosamente como &#8220;gambiarras&#8221;) muito simples, além de ecologicamente corretos. Faremos hoje um suporte para buzina elétrica e um protetor de quadro. A base dos dois RTA&#8217;s será câmara de ar usada, além de algumas abraçadeiras (quelas tiras de plástico usadas para prender acessórios etc).</p>

Não com esses RTA&#39;s</p></div>
<p><strong><span style="color:#993300;">1 &#8211; Suporte para buzina</span></strong></p>
<p>Eu gosto bem dessas buzinas elétricas. Não tem o barulho exagerado das buzinas a ar e nem o som fraquinho das campanhias (aquele clássico &#8220;trim-trim&#8221; das bicicletas). Prefiro prendê-la na parte da frente do quadro, pois o som sai mais vivo em meio ao trânsito da cidade (meu cumpadre Barba fez também uma ótima adaptação de buzina, colocando debaixo do selim). Resolvi então fazer um suporte e prender a buzina. Primeiro eu envolvo  a parte dianteira do quadro esticando e enrolando uma tira de câmara de ar bem apertada, prendendo a extremidade com a abraçadeira. Se preferir pode usar uma em cada extremidade da proteção. Muito cuidado para a câmara de ar não encostar nos cabos de freio e marcha que passam pelo quadro.</p>

<p>Depois, apoio a buzina na proteção e faço o mesmo processo, envolvendo agora a buzina na parte protegida, utilizando uma tira mais fina e maior de câmara de ar. O acabamento é tosco: simplesmente passo a ponta da câmara de ar sob uma das camadas inferiores que foram esticadas. Dessa forma posso tirar com mais facilidade sempre que levo a bike para a revisão. Uma outra forma de prender a ponta da câmara pode ser com cola e remendo de pneu, mas caso precise tirar a buzina só cortando com tesoura.</p>

<p><strong><span style="color:#993300;">2 &#8211; Protetor de quadro</span></strong></p>
<p>Os protetores de quadro são uma ótima pedida, pois evitam que a corrente e outras pancadas arranhem e danifiquem a parte inferior do quadro. Nas lojas são geralmente de pano e velcro e custam em torno de R$ 20,00. O modelo abaixo segue a mesma linha do primeiro. Corte algumas tiras de câmara de ar usada e envolva firmemente o quadro. Prenda as extremidades com abraçadeiras.</p>

<p>Não se esqueça de cortar as sobras da abraçadeira com uma tesoura. Pronto! Um protetor barato, de ótima qualidade (a borracha protege muito bem), e com material que provavelmente iria pro lixo.</p>

It includes over 600 MB of samples taken from their archives.</p>
<p>You can use it as a stand alone or a plugin. It is also fully compatible with all other Kontakt libraries.</p>
<p>They did leave one thing out of the free version, it doesn&#8217;t have the full editing ability as the full version. But it does come with a library if you haven&#8217;t tried Kontakt before.</p>
<p>Of course, by giving it away for free, they&#8217;re wanting you to get addicted to it so you&#8217;ll buy more libraries from them. This is still worth the download. You might find Kontakt to be just what you&#8217;re looking for.</p>
<p>And since it&#8217;s free, you won&#8217;t be out much if you don&#8217;t like it. I believe more companies should be doing the same thing.</p>

<p>SPL presenta los Analog Code MicroPlugs, una nueva gama de plug-ins que integra tres efectos, para Windows y Mac OS X.</p>

<p><strong>Attacker</strong> es un “Transient Designer”, un procesador de transitorias que permite amplificar los ataques, no importa el nivel sonoro. Eso permite, por ejemplo, bajar el nivel de un elemento sin que pierda demasiada presencia en la mezcla. Dispone de un control de gain de salida para compensar el cambio de nivel inducido por el procedimiento.</p>
<p><strong>Mo-Verb</strong> permite amplificar los diferentes elementos de una señal reverberada, no importa los niveles sonoros. También dispone de un control para el nivel de salida.</p>
<p><strong>De-Verb</strong> es el igual a Mo-Verb, permite reducir cualquier componente de una señal reverberada. Por supuesto integra un ajuste para el volumen de salida.</p>

<p>Akki Plug anuncia la salida de Virtual Bouzouki, una biblioteca de muestras de buzuki griego destinado a “extender el espíritu griego a todo el mundo”.</p>

<p>Virtual Bouzouki es un instrumento virtual para Kontakt Player 2 basado en un script avanzado diseñado para ofrecer diferentes estilos y técnicas.</p>
<p>Una de las funcionalidades que permite una experiencia realista es el control de la forma de tocar las notas y la posibilidad de elegir cuál cuerda se va a usar con la rueda de modulación, asegura Akki Plug.</p>
<p>Otra función es la forma de manejar el ataque con la púa. Un tocador de buzuki puede elegir tocar hacia arriba o abajo. Virtual Bouzouki está programado para tocar sólo hacia abajo cuando el músico toca notas lentas, y en ambos sentidos si toca más rápido. Esta opción evita el efecto “ametralladora”. Por supuesto se podrá activar “púa hacia abajo” para obtener ese efecto.</p>
<p>Virtual Bouzouki incluye varios efectos en el menú principal llamado “perform”, en donde se puede elegir la posición de la púa y su espesor. También está un EQ, una reverb, un delay, un compresor y una ayuda que explica rápidamente las posiciones de los tonos.</p>

<p>Focusrite lanza su promoción “Forté4free” y regala su plug-in de franja de canal ISA para Pro Tools (RTAS y TDM), “Forté Suite”, valorado en 599$, con la compra de cualquier producto de la gama ISA, incluso el nuevo ISA One.</p>

<p>Forte Suite utiliza módulos vintage virtuales y trae, según Focusrite, la firma sonora ISA de la marca a todas las plataformas Pro Tools (HD, LE y M-Powered) a través de los ajustes de sus procesadores dinámicos ISA110 EQ e ISA130 (incluso el compresor, el D-Esser y la puerta de ruido), los módulos clave de la consola analógica Forté de Focusrite.</p>
<p>La gama de material que beneficia de esta oferta es el ISA428, ISA828, los preamplificadores de micro de 4 y 8 canales, las franjas de canal ISA430 e ISA220, y el recién ISA One, un preamplificador de micro de un solo canal con DI independiente.</p>
<p>Cada unidad ISA embarca los módulos de la consola Forté Suite, cuya base es el preampli de micro ISA. La topología de este preamplificador nunca ha cambiado, excepto la adición de un circuito de impedancia variable, dice Focusrite.</p>

<p>Prevista inicialmente el 18 de mayo y después el 29 de junio, Spectrasonics pospone la disponibilidad de su nuevo bajo virtual.</p>
<p>Se debe ese retraso al fallecimiento de Barbara Klinger, coordinadora del lanzamiento de productos y administradora de los stocks desde hace mucho tiempo.</p>

<p>Hoje estou aqui pra recomendar um <a href="http://productionadvice.co.uk/how-to-avoid-over-compressing-your-mix/" target="_blank">post</a> num dos blogs que mais leio (pena que é tão pouco atualizado): <a href="http://productionadvice.co.uk/" target="_blank">Production Advice</a>.</p>
<p>Esse post ensina um pouco <a href="http://productionadvice.co.uk/how-to-avoid-over-compressing-your-mix/" target="_blank">como evitar uma super-compressão na hora de mixar</a> uma música. Pra quem não sabe, neste caso, comprimir significa diminuir a diferença de volume entre a parte com menos volume e com mais volume na música, colocando tudo mais ou menos no mesmo nível de volume. Isso acaba com a dinâmica da música, e, na minha sincera opinião, faz com que a mixagem fique uma droga (vide o último disco do Metallica&#8230;).</p>
<p>No <a href="http://productionadvice.co.uk/how-to-avoid-over-compressing-your-mix/" target="_blank">post</a>, Ian Shepherd (produtor e engenheiro de som) dá algumas dicas de como fazer uma compressão de forma a não prejudar a mixagem geral e o feeling da música. Além disso, coloca à disposição pra download um plug-in de compressão, o <a href="http://www.pleasurizemusic.com/en/download" target="_blank">TT Dinamic Range Meter</a>, disponível em versões pra PC e Mac em formatos AU, RTAS e VST.</p>
