Oh yes. The rumor mill couldn’t be any more full this week. Major publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and the New York Times are reporting that Apple will announce and reveal the much talked about mythical device known tentatively as the Apple Tablet. Whatever it will be called, it is now going around that Apple has not only been courting magazine and book publications for digital distribution deals, but also within the cable industry as well. The rumors now claim that the tablet will completely revolutionize the way television is watched.

Speculation as of today is that there are two models. One comes in with a 7″ screen which is supposedly a sure-thing, and the other is a 10″ which may or may not end up in production.

A few weeks ago, Toshiba had also announced that they have managed to squeeze 64GB of flash memory onto one NAND chip, further fueling the fire that Apple could potentially have a device planned that would utilize more flash memory.

Again, all of this is anybody’s guess and speculation, but if the WSJ, NYT, and FT start making claims, chances are they may very well be true. After all, only the most trusted tech writers get early working models of Cupertino’s devices months before they are announced or released. Walt Mossberg of the WSJ had the iPhone 3G before anyone else had it. It’s just part of their Non-Disclosure Agreements that they continue to churn out “rumors” to excite the public.

Whatever it is Apple has planned for 2010, I can promise you the house that Jobs built and rebuilt will amaze you, like they almost always do. Of course all this talk with cable companies could just be an overhaul for the sad little AppleTV…

Have I got some scoop! I heard from a reliable source that Trader Joe was in talks to open a store at 675 Sixth Ave at 21st street. This would be so great because the only grocery store in Chelsea is on 7th and 8th ave in the 20’s and nothing in central Chelsea. Not only would it be good for the residents but great for Benjamin James traffic as well as residents in 21Chelsea. (building where Benjamin James office is located)

For the last couple of years, the internet has been discussing the possibility of an Apple Tablet (I like to call it an “applet” – though I may not be the first). The talk is that it would be essentially a large iPhone (8-10″) with only a touch screen…

Apple generally participates in MacWorld in San Francisco early in January but Apple has pulled out of MacWorld AND CES (Consumer Electronics Show) but the latest is that Apple may be doing it’s own announcement/event towards the end of January.

What I would like to see and what the internet is buzzing about:
A 10″ tablet PC with a full version of Mac OS X installed
Simple wireless (802.11n) connection
Excellent touch keyboard (a lot like the iPhone) with the option to add a physical keyboard/mouse via Bluetooth or USB
Storage on the device of at least 160GB (320GB would be GREAT)
Battery life of 8+ hours

[Sina Entertainment News] The day before, Hangeng, the only Chinese member of Asia’s super popular group, Super Junior, filed for a termination of his “exclusive contract” with SM Entertainment.

According to the latest news from Korea, Hangeng is not the only one who filed the lawsuit. Other Super Junior members have also filed a similar lawsuit, and they include: Lee Teuk, Yesung, Kangin, Eun Hyuk and Donghae. The only reason why news about Hangeng was exposed first, is because of his nationality.

According to the lawsuit, Hangeng has not had any rest in 2 years, causing him to suffer from fatigue, which also resulted in chronic gastritis, illnesses related to his kidney, lumbar disc herniation, as well as a visible decrease in body strength.

However, SM Entertainment rejected Hangeng’s requests for rest, and continued to schedule activities for him, which caused Hangeng to suffer a lot of pain.

According to the contents of the lawsuit, since the time of his debut, Hangeng didn’t even have one day of rest per week. For 2 years, Hangeng has continuously done his overseas schedules as well, and had no choice but to continue with his schedules without any rest. In his contract with SM, there are clauses stating that he has to pay the company monetary damages should he be unable to fulfill the schedules arranged for him. Thus, even when he was in poor health, he had no choice but to follow through with his schedules.

Once the news broke out, many fans have expressed the wish for SM and the members to be able to make peace, and make changes to their contracts, as well as expressed hope that Super Junior will not face the threat of disbanding.

California’s 19th District race is finally getting interesting. Former Mayor of Fresno Jim Patterson (R) has been rumored run against incumbent George Radanovich (R, CA-19). Radanovich’s seat has been under fire ever since one of his prominent supporters, Bob Smittcamp, publicly stated that he would be pulling his support and gearing it to a challenger. For many Tea Party Republicans (or the 21st Century Bull Moose), Patterson could take some heavy supporters from Radanovich, including Smittcamp. If Patterson is to announce candidacy, the appropriate time would be January according to sources. As more unravels, Undecided 2010 will keep you posted.

that’s the rumor, OmniVision Technologies which makes the censors for the iphone camera now, said that they got a deal with apple to make a 5MP camera censor, but as we all know Apple is full of surprises we’ll have to wait and see, would be sweet though.

Rumors galore today and all of them seem to be focused on the notion that Apple will be hosting an event in January, demoing a 7″ or 10″ tablet running iPhone apps.

In typical Apple fashion, the story is Apple will be demoing the device in January as a teaser, getting developers psyched about developing more apps for it and then releasing it in March. If the iTablet can in fact run iPhone applications, it’ll be an interesting spin on, whether as a positive or negative we’ll have to see.

According to TUAW, a few developers have reportedly been asked to ready their apps for a “full screen” resolution, which would seem to suggest that even if the new device is larger than an iPhone, it’ll still run apps off the App Store.

Of course, take all of this with a pinch of salt. As ever, we know nothing, and this is all rumor and speculation often regurgitated and dramatised across the blogosphere. The reality is we won’t know anything for definite until the words are uttered from Jobs or any other Apple employee’s lips. Nevertheless, this is all part of the fun isn’t it?

In a recent interview with New York Magazine’s entertainment blog, Vulture, Quentin Tarantino has given us a bit of news, that we should all be hesitant to believe, regarding his next film, and talks about the German and Israeli reactions while viewing Inglourious Basterds.

When speaking of his next film, Tarantino states that he’s already written 40 pages of an Inglourious Basterds prequel, but that it won’t be his next film. His next film, he says, will be “smaller, less epic in scale than Basterds, and a different genre entirely.” And mentions that a five-to-six month period of intensive writing should be enough for him to finish the script. Not too long ago, Tarantino promised his fans that he will be developing a Kill Bill Vol. 3, though with a different title now that The Bride has slain Bill. However, with his recent comments on his next film being smaller, we shouldn’t expect Vol. 3 to be the next project we see from Q.T.

Evidence has emerged to back up the theory that Apple’s next iPhone iteration will have a 5-megapixel camera. It comes by way of DigiTimes, which reports that supplier OmniVision (S OVTI) has received a sizable order for the parts necessary for the improvement.

The current model only sports a 3-megapixel sensor, which is on par with a lot of devices, but many direct iPhone competitors have begun offering better resolution hardware. Five megapixels isn’t a lot compared to most point-and-shoot cameras on the market right now, but it’s likely enough for most people’s standard usage, and should help the iPhone become even more popular than it already is on sites like Flickr (s yhoo).

DigiTimes is quoting unnamed sources as saying that OmniVision, the company which currently supplies the CMOS sensor for the iPhone 3GS, has received a large order for 5-megapixel versions of the core camera component, which should help it increase its output to between 40-45 million units in 2010, up from 20-21 million in 2009.

The order is set to start being manufactured sometime in the first quarter of 2010, which is in keeping with the expected June/July launch of the next-gen iPhone at WWDC.

Expect video quality to improve as a result. A move to HD video in the iPhone would definitely help the device’s chances in the mobile video market, and could even spell the end for standalone low-cost devices like the Flip HD (S csco) and Sony’s (s sne) recently launched competitor, the Webbie HD.

Here’s hoping the next iteration of the iPhone’s camera also handles things like night and low-light shooting better, too. Many competitors now have built-in flashes, but I don’t see Apple (s aapl) marring its minimalist industrial design with an additional break in the back casing of the iPhone.

Despite the rumors swirlin’ around earlier this week (started by Star mag!) about Tiger’s possible love child with Rachel Uchitel,   it was confirmed that she is NOT pregnant with Tiger Woo’s child.

The magazine goes on to claim that Uchitel, who has been spotted near Woods’ yacht “Privacy” in Palm Beach, “has told friends she could be carrying his baby!” Rachel adamantly denied that to GossipCop.com, saying point-blank, “I’m not pregnant.”

Star mags ridiculous claim went on to say, “Tiger and Rachel still love each other and it’s definitely possible they’ll meet up or go away together soon,” the magazine quoted a source as saying.   “Especially if she’s carrying his baby.”  (Star mag has sunk to a new low.   And I thought that was The Globe’s position!)

BUT!

On other fronts, its reported that Tiger and Rachel are still seeing each other!    In Touch magazine reported on its website Tuesday that Tiger, who turns 34 next week, has been seeing Rachel, in Florida near where his yacht  “Privacy” is docked.

The magazine, quoting an unnamed friend (these fair-weather friends again!) of Rachel’s, reported Tiger is still sexin’ Rachel, who was in the same Melbourne hotel as he was,  when he was there for the Australian Masters last month.

“They have been sleeping together the entire time since the scandal broke,” the source told In Touch. “They hook up in a condo she has been staying at in Palm Beach“.

“She’s madly in love with him and she believes that he loves her as well.”  Still?

Wow – I wonder how Elin feels about all this!   This was the chicken head that started the whole shebang!   And if this is true, he is really fluckin’ up.    Seem like he should be tryin to lay low and hope all this madness blows over.    He should be shorin’ himself up for the Divorce Trial of Century. 

If I were Elin, I’d be pass humiliation and hurt, and be on to checkin that cash.    No more tears; I’d be choppin’ it up with the lawyers EVERY day, plottin’ and plannin; on makin’ him pay.

Whaddya mean, you’re skeptical about reports regarding an upcoming Tablet announcement? When did you last hear a major publisher report exciting Tablet news from unnamed sources? Oh, wait.

Earlier in the week the Wall Street Journal reported on the rumors of Apple’s (s aapl) forays into television content subscription. It also made a passing reference to the tablet coming “by the end of March.” And we’d have left it at that, except that yesterday the Financial Times also chimed in with a little more on the same theme:

Apple is preparing an announcement next month that many anticipate will be the official unveiling of its tablet, but the company has so far declined to confirm the existence of the device. Wall Street analysts expect mass production of an Apple tablet to begin as early as February.

Of course, when it comes to reporting about Apple’s fabled Tablet device, no one ever properly cites their sources. Instead, we get fleeting, nebulous references to shady characters and nameless insiders: “Sources close to Apple told us…” or “An executive familiar with the matter revealed…” Occasionally, some enterprising analyst stares at a spreadsheet for a while and makes up some bold predictions — and then they get named as sources, their prophecies presented almost as iron-clad statements of previously super-occluded fact.

Even worse, it’s not hard to imagine that sometimes ( just occasionally) those same analysts become the mysterious, unidentified sources of privileged insider information, referred to almost casually as “sources with intimate knowledge of Apple.” While that’s not technically incorrect, it’s still wildly misleading. And unethical, too.

Of course, I’m not suggesting venerable publishers such as the Wall Street Journal or the Financial Times get up to these shenanigans. However, it’s at least interesting to note that earlier this month, and reported by AppleInsider, Oppenheimer analyst Yair Reiner offered much the same predictions for a first-quarter 2010 Tablet launch;

Reiner…revealed his latest tablet news in a note to investors issued Wednesday morning.

“Our checks into Apple’s supply chain indicate the manufacturing cogs for the tablet are creaking into action and should begin to hit a mass market stride in February,” the note said.

Reiner said Apple would likely need at least five or six weeks of inventory built up before it can release the product, positioning a likely launch in March or April.

Now, I don’t know about you, but when I read that an analyst has revealed his “latest” news about Apple’s super-duper-secret-history-making-miracle-tablet, I gotta assume that doesn’t mean his latest morsels of juicy, hitherto-unknown insider information, but rather, his “latest roundup of most reasonable rumors and assumptions gathered from around the Internet.” I guess it depends on your level of cynicism, how badly you want the Tablet, and how you choose to read between the lines.

Either way, the WSJ and the FT are in competition with one another. One mustn’t be outdone by the other — even if that means reporting “old” news that isn’t really news at all. It’s conjecture from a man who doesn’t claim to have inside knowledge, but just looked into Apple’s “supply chain” and offered some best guesses. That is, after all, what analysts do. You can do the same thing, by the way, just by gathering together a half dozen industry trade-press magazines.

Mind you, that line which begins “Apple is preparing an announcement next month…” is pretty specific, isn’t it? Specific without actually telling us anything, but then, that’s what the rumor mill is all about these days, right?

Frankly, I’m growing tired of all these rumors — Apple can’t release this thing soon enough, as far as I’m concerned, if only so we can finally put all this frothy prognostication behind us!

UPDATE: Boy Genius Report is now reporting that its own inside source is reporting a 7-inch Apple tablet launch in January is a 100 percent certainty. Looks like we may not have to wait much longer to put the rumors to rest.

The trailer (see it after the jump!) opens with quick shots of New York City accompanied by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ seriously apropos hit “Empire State of Mind.” “It’s been two years and in two years, amazing things can happen,” purrs Sarah Jessica Parker. Cut to Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) sauntering down a Big Apple sidewalk, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) baking cupcakes with her 2-year-old daughter Rose and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) doing something at what appears to be a wedding (the rumored Stanford Blatch-Anthony Marantino nuptials, perhaps?).

(i) Rumor – Dead body found under the mattress in a hotel room.
Outcome/effect (action taken by Genting people) – there’s now an unspoken rule that guests who sojourn in a Genting hotel room must never lift the bed and the mattress.

(ii) Rumor – A girl got decapitated while playing Space Shot.
Effect (action taken by Genting staff) – The Space Shot game has been adjusted. Formerly it was shooting a player up at full force and speed but now it’s the opposite where the player is slowly lifted to the top and comes down all of a sudden at furious speed. The meaning of Space Shot is supposed to go up, not the other way. Why do u think they changed the rule of the game? Beats me.

(iii) Rumor – Lots of people say Ria Apartment is haunted.
Effect (action taken by Genting management) – Ria Apartment is no longer available for rent to the public. The apartment has been sold to a private company who only rents to people upon request or special booking and that apartment even serves as free accommodations (or rewards) for the masses who’ve won prizes in some contests.

(iv) Rumor – Numerous people have committed suicide in hotel rooms
Effect / Action – Now all the hotel windows have been adjusted and configured to an extent that you can’t fully open the windows wide enough for a human to climb or go through.

(v) Rumor – Amber Court is haunted
Effect / Action – Though this apartment belongs to the property of Genting, it is never advertised in the newspapers and the Genting website. They’ve kept this place a low profile. Hence, if u wanna rent that apartment, u have to search for that place yourself and place booking on your own or at your own peril! That building is so old … why do the Genting people not bother to renovate that place? Not to mention some abandoned projects (buildings that’re constructed halfway or partially) along the way to Amber Court.

(vi) Rumor – People who went into the Whale’s Mouth at Theme Park disappeared. Some say it’s a portal to hell and eternal torment.
Effect / Action – The Whale’s mouth has been shut down and sealed to this day.

If you were to navigate further onto that page, none of the options to view the trailer seem to work. One can only assume that on December 28th the newest trailer for Inception will be available online, and will clock in at 1minute 48seconds. Seems,  in a monumental display of trickin’, Hov has agreed to Beyonce’s demand that he change his name.   Jay-Z – whose real name is Shawn Carter – will now be known as Shawn Knowles-Carter, while Beyonce is to become Beyonce Knowles-Carter.    

I can see the hyphenation on her part,  takin’ her married name but keepin’ her maiden name, but why in tha fluck is he changin’ his name in the first place, and THEN! puttin’ her’s FIRST???  

Snitches say there is some background musclin’ on Daddy Knowles part.    His claim is that “they only have two daughters, so once both of them are married, the Knowles name will disappear”.    So they’re doin this to carry on the Knowles name??     And: “…especially if they don’t produce any children themselves” – an indication that there will be no lil Camel’s runnin around this mofo,  by Bey, maybe??

If you come across news articles claiming that six members of Super Junior filed lawsuits against SM Entertainment: it’s an unconfirmed rumour.

This gossip has been presented in various forms, one of the most pular ones is that the webmasters of three major Super Junior fansites (Wannabe, Yuri9doo, and a Donghae fansite) witnessed the aforementioned Super Junior members filing said lawsuits.

If the rumour eventually turns out to be true, what we know fur sure though is that this information did not come from Wannabe or Yuri9doo.

Another version of this rumour quotes a fan who goes by the name of mybaby as the source; members of kangteuk.com.cn contacted mybaby and were assured that she never said anything about this rumour.
