Altro giro, altra corsa: si fa infatti il nome di Ornella Muti, già in giro nella scorsa edizione di Ballando e poi venuto meno nello scorso mese di dicembre. Un bel colpo vedere la nota e bella attrice italiana, alle prese con tango e chachacha, no? E poi? E poi si fa il nome di Maria Grazia Cucinotta che, a quanto pare, accetterebbe solo un reality come Ballando. Altro bel colpo, sicuramente.

Si parla poi di …..Ronn Moss, l’attore e le sue mascelle infatti, potrebbero tornare utili a Milly Carlucci, per acciuffare tutto il pubblico di Beautiful, curioso di vedere, dopo 35 anni di amori e tradimenti, il proprio beniamino ballare e giudicato da Mariotto e compagnia. Infine, il nome in giro è quello di Alessandro Borghese, figlio di Barbara Bouchet, cuoco televisivo (poteva non esserlo, visti i natali?), e impegnato ora con Alda D’Eusanio in Ci Vediamo Domenica, dopo tante avventure nella televisione satellitare, nel giudicare e criticare i prodotti culinari altrui.

TheYBF has reported that Jay-Z is having an international affair to celebrate his 40th birthday next week.  An insider from his camp accidentally spilled to us that Jay and his celebrity friends (and likely his wife and her fam) are traveling to the Dominican Republic to party it up.  We hear Diddy, Kevin Liles, Ty Ty, and many other folks are heading to the Caribbean with him.  And they’re all getting together to get Mr. Carter a very special gift.  Nice!

The Chuck rumor mill was was working overtime last week with NBC’s announcement that Chuck would begin it’s season with a double header on Sun. Jan. 10.  But in all the excitement, there was buried one not-so-small bit of unhappiness.  Julia Ling as Anna Wu was was not to be in any of the first 13 episodes.   How sad!

I have a soft spot in my heart for any martial artist who is smaller than I am, you see.

But EW.com’s Michael Ausiello feeds the rumor mill.

Chuck co-creator Chris Fedak confirms that Anna Wu will be MIA during season 3’s first 13 episodes, but there’s a chance she could pop up in the last six. “We’re still [writing the last] six episodes, so I don’t have anything first on that,” he says. “But I would love for Anna to come back.” Fedak adds that Julia’s absence at Buy More will be referenced early in the season.

Well, that’s no guarantee, but it’s good to know that the Bearded Loser’s main honey is not permanently written out of the script (yet). Carina is there to produce some Morgan-angst, but Manna ’shipper that I am, I feel certain that, in the end, their destiny is to be together. Uh – Annagan? Wimes??

Dong Bang Shin Ki Hero JaeJoong’s representative spoke up about rumours of love relationship between JaeJoong and Japanese actress Abiru Yuu.

It was said in Japanese weekly magazine ‘Female Seven’ on 26th November, “JaeJoong and Abiru Yuu were seen on a date late night in Tokyo recently. The date between the 2 was first witnessed in early October where they were spotted very initimately together on late night date at about 3am.”

But a representative said on 26th November, “Totally absurd. The date which the magazine stated – early October – JaeJoong was in Korea. How can the 2 be together, we really cannot understand. And according to Avex Japan, JaeJoong has never met Abiru Yuu before.”

According to Japanese magazine “Woman Weekly”, Jaejoong were caught in a late-night date with talent woman Abiru Yuu in Tokyo, Japan. The magazine reported that the scene of Jaejoong having late-night dating with Abiru was captured.

A close source had a phonecall with Newsen, “We have no idea about Jaejoong’s rumor.” he said. “We’ll try to identify this case later.”

Ed è Grande Fratello show, dopo quasi un mese di messa in onda torbida e soporifera. Questa notte, infatti, nella casa più spiata e sorvegliata di tutta la televisione italiana è accaduto di tutto. E forse dire “di tutto” è anche riduttivo. E’ successo così tanto che, alla stregua di quanto accadde nella quinta edizione del Grande Fratello allo scoppio di una sorta di rave party, sono state oscurate le immagini in diretta di quanto accadeva. Per arrivare a tanto, evidentemente, Mediaset ha dovuto subire un po’ troppo. Cosa è successo nella fattispecie? Alla luce del fatto che il tutto non è andato in onda – o almeno buona parte della grande rissa condita da bestemmie e urla, oltre a lanci di scarpe e oggetti – girano su internet sedicenti versioni che vorrebbero spiegare il fatto narrandone la verità. Veronica avrebbe lanciato sul pavimento un osso di pollo mangiato in serata, invitando Mauro a raccoglierlo come se fosse un cane. Il “buon” Marin sarebbe così passato all’attacco, palpeggiandola vivacemente, in un contesto fatto di urla e di ingiurie, culminato con un Massimo che avrebbe preso a testate la vetrata della sauna per almeno quattro volte. Insomma, l’incarnazione vivente del trash ha avuto luogo proprio ieri in quel di Cinecittà.

La cosa che strania, anche parecchio, è che si stia tentando di insabbiare il tutto. Non ci sono immagini, né foto, né se ne parla poi più di tanto. Una tattica voluta per far esplodere il caso lunedì in puntata, cercando di far crescere gli ascolti in caduta libera? E’ cosa nota, infatti, che i risultati raggiunti da questa decima edizione del Grande Fratello sta tutt’altro che soddisfacendo Mediaset, che aveva investito tantissimo in questa stagione “no-limits” del reality show. Colpa soprattutto di un cast che è fatto di macchiette, di imitazioni, di personaggi anonimi o di troppo costruiti. Cosa c’è di vero o vicino al reale in esso? Nulla. Non a caso si rimette in moto la macchina dei casting durante questa stessa edizione, cosa mai accaduta prima, sinonimo della volontà di buttare dentro qualche altra anima pia che possa smuovere le acque. E non a caso si sta ragionando sull’ipotesi di tagliare fortemente le giornate previste per questa decima edizione.

In realtà già in principio, sconfessando ogni voce di extended version, si parlava di sole 16 puntate del programma, per una durata di circa 100 giorni. L’ipotesi era infatti quella di aggiungerne di altre a posteriori, qualora il successo del programma fosse stato raggiunto. Invece, pare proprio che per i primi di febbraio, il GF10 chiuderà i battenti. Cosa bollerà in pentola?

Schelotto's Future In the Air (Fahmi/Studio79)

Lost in the Expansion Draft talk is that the Crew and the Schelotto camp continue to talk and that the Argentine’s agents gave the Crew one final offer on Monday. This was a take it or leave it choice for the Crew, sign him or he’s not coming back.

With a final offer tendered by Schelotto, both sides won’t have to wait long before seeing what the future holds. The Crew have to make a decision about Guille’s worth to the team both on and off the field. I have to think that Schelotto’s future will be decided by the end of the month. It’s a bad sign if there is no news in the coming days about a new contract.

I still hold out hope that both sides get a deal done. The Crew could use another year of Schelotto’s imaginative play. He’s a fan favorite and would be an asset to the Crew organization when he retires. For Schelotto, Columbus is a very comfortable city. He has settled in nicely to the point his family can join him during the season. It makes too much sense on both sides for a deal to fall through, but sometimes people don’t make the deal that makes the most sense.

Its official, AllHipHop has reprted that Jay-Z and Nas are officially remixing the hit single Empire State of Mind.  It had been rumoured that Nas was not feeling being on the original (which he was slated to be) due to the closeness in essence of the song to his past underground hit, ‘New York State of Mind’.  I CANNOT WAIT!

The Top 10 doesn’t have a lot of Hip-Hop on it but we do have a new entry.  Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson enters the charts at in the fifth slot with his latest album Before I Self Destruct.  The queens MC managed to sell about 160,000 copies of his fourth disc which, to date, is the lowest sales the rapper has produced.  The reviews for the album have been mixed but I will say that the movie that comes with it is not bad.  In fact it’s pretty good.  50 has already come forward and said that the album leaked from an international plant which is not hard to believe.  The album was everywhere…but is that the reason for the low sales?  What do ya’ll think?  Nevertheless, this is a hater’s wet dream! The next question is how does an MC that has always spent a lot of time focusing on numbers (especially the numbers of rappers he doesn’t like) deal with the fact that his latest album hasn’t put up good numbers.  I hope its go back to the studio (hungry) and put out another album.  We’ll see.

Between now and the start of spring training, it’s my goal here at The Diamond Cutter to try to keep you updated on all the ins and outs of this off season. I’ll be using a variety of sources from ESPN Insider, MLBTradeRumors.com, local news sites and more.

So without further ado on to the recent flood of speculation…

· ESPN Insider has been repeatedly linking the New York Mets to Roy Halladay which I find to be quite a stretch. I just don’t think the Mets have the prospects available to make a move despite what some “experts” say. Names like Edwin Mejia, Ruben Tejada and prized prospect Fernando Martinez have been mentioned to be possibilities. The blurb also mentions the possibility of the Mets taking on Vernon Wells’ astronomical contract as part of the deal which would definitely sweeten the deal for the Jays.

· According to MLBTradeRumors.com the Chicago White Sox are once again linked to being interested in bringing in free agent Coco Crisp to play center for them in 2010. Crisp had a tough stretch for the Royals hitting only .228/.336/.378 in 215 plate appearances last season during a shortened season due to injury. Crisp definitely still has a lot left in the tank and will make some team very happy next season.

· Both FoxSports.com and ESPN.com have talked quite a bit about the Detroit Tigers moving lead off hitter Curtis Granderson to help cut payroll. FoxSports.com has linked the Los Angeles Angels to the lefty and others have tied him to the Mariners and Cubs. Both intriguing options, but I personally would like to see him land in Seattle alongside Griffey and Ichiro. And speaking of the Tigers, DetNews.com has indicated that Miguel Cabrera has even been added to the list of available Tiger players. That would be the waiving of the white flag in my book.

· ESPN Insider has discussed what options the Seattle Mariners have next season to help bolster their weakened infield. While the club is trying to bring back Russell Branyan to play first base next season, they are going to need to do something with the impending loss of third baseman Adrian Beltre to free agency. Names like Nick Johnson, Jim Thome, Casey Kotchman, Carlos Delgado, Orlando Hudson and Dan Uggla have been tossed in as possible candidates. I plan on digging a bit deeper into the 2010 Seattle Mariners later this week as I bring back the popular “GM for a Day” series where I go into detail of what I would do to turn their ship around.

For a look back at a few of the teams I did this for last year, look to the right hand column of this page under “Best Of” and give it a look. I’m pretty impressed with how many of my ideas took off for these clubs.

· Now it’s time for the lightening round for rumors. Hang on tight as they are coming fast and furious: Slugger Adrian Gonzalez looks to be staying put in San Diego for now…the Twins could have a great present for their fans with a signed MVP catcher by Christmas…the Mets may have interest in bringing in Jack Cust…Jermaine Dye is willing to move to first base if it gets him a job…the Rockies don’t want Mike Lowell to fill their third base hole…the Braves are already looking to move Derek Lowe out of town…and the Phillies have Placido Polanco, Mark DeRosa and Adrian Beltre on their radars to sure up their infield.

Websites should be obliged to remove “false rumors” while libel laws should be altered to make it easier to sue for spreading such “rumors,” argued Cass Sunstein, Obama’s regulatory czar.

In his recently released book, “On Rumors,” Sunstein specifically cited as a primary example of “absurd” and “hateful” remarks, reports by “right-wing websites” alleging an association between President Obama and Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers.

First of all, Cass… Can I ask what a “false rumor” is? No, really. Is that like… True Truths? Also; check this: First Amendment of the United Stated Constitution. Don’t feel like it? Here, let me educate you: FREEDOM OF SPEECH. OOOOOHHHH SNAP. Whatcha gonna do sissy boy? Also; It’s NOOOOOOO secret that BHussein is butt buddies with Bill Ayers. Why try to cover it now? It’s been common knowledge for almost three years on a national scale now, so what’s your fucking problem? Also, how is it hateful to state something that is completely true? Sorry, carry on:

He also singled out radio talker Sean Hannity for “attacking” Obama regarding the president’s “alleged associations.”

Ayers became a name in last year’s presidential campaign when it was disclosed the radical worked closely with Obama for years. Obama also was said to have launched his political career at a 1995 fundraiser in Ayers’ apartment.

As WND reported, Obama and Ayers sat together on the board of a Chicago nonprofit, the Woods Fund. Ayers also was a founder of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, where Obama was appointed as its first chairman in 1995.

Ayers reportedly was involved in hiring Obama for the CAC – a job the future president later touted as qualifying him to run for public office.

WND columnist Jack Cashill has produced a series of persuasive arguments that it was Ayers who ghostwrote Obama’s award-winning autobiography “Dreams from My Father.”

However, such reports were characterized by Sunstein as “absurd” charges for which corrective measures can be taken.

Sunstein’s book – reviewed by WND – was released in September, after he was already installed as the administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.

“In the era of the Internet, it has become easy to spread false or misleading rumors about almost anyone,” Sunstein writes.

“Some right-wing websites liked to make absurd and hateful remarks about the alleged relationship between Barack Obama and the former radical Bill Ayers; one of the websites’ goals was undoubtedly to attract more viewers,” he writes.

Oh? So you don’t like it when “right-wing” websites make hateful remarks about BHussein and his relationship with Bill Ayers? Well how’s THIS one, CASSIEPOO? Barack Hussein Obama admires Bill Ayers because HE is a homegrown unrepentant terrorist who carried out acts of terrorism AGAINST the government. BHussein Obama LOVES and admires terrorists; although Ayers isn’t BHussein’s favourite “flavour” of terrorist. It’s no secret that BHussein favours the radical Islamist and Muslim terrorists; but he’ll take what he can get. Don’t like it? Suck a fat one, queerboy. I hear BHussein likes to get blowjobs if you give him a line of coke. THAT’S RIGHT, I SAID IT.

Sunstein continues: “On the Internet as well as on talk radio, altruistic propagators are easy to find; they play an especially large role in the political domain. When Sean Hannity, the television talk show host, attacked Barack Obama because of his alleged associations, one of his goals might have been to promote values and causes that he cherishes.”

Sunstein presents multiple new measures he argues can be used to stop the spread of “rumors.”

He contends “freedom usually works, but in some contexts, it is an incomplete corrective.”

Wrong you fuckface sack of shitballs. FREEDOM ALWAYS WORKS.

Sunstein proposes the imposition of a “chilling effect” on “damaging rumors” – or the use of strong “corrective” measures to deter future rumormongers.

For websites, Sunstein suggests a “right to notice and take down” in which “those who run websites would be obliged to take down falsehoods upon notice.”

WROOOOOOOOOOOONG. You want to have ME delete ANYTHING from my site; you’ll have to do it over my dead body. And based on the rising Obama Body count; I don’t think he’d have a problem with it. Besides, how “damaging” were these rumors statements? BHussein got his foot in the door. He’s living in the White House. No, he’s not acting like a PRESIDENT, but he’s living in the White House. So, damaging? PLZ ‘SPLAIN.

Sunstein also argues for the “right to demand a retraction after a clear demonstration that a statement is both false and damaging.” But he does not explain which agency would determine whether any statement is false and damaging.

Sunstein further pushes for “deterrence” through making libel lawsuits easier to bring.

Bring your goddamned lawsuits. You don’t own me. You can’t control me. I’m not scared of ANY of you. Not even close. Most of us patriots will continue to spread the truth; because the mainstream media has failed us. They turned their backs on their duties and they decided to follow along mindlessly slobbing any Obama knob they can. That’s right.

Sunstein drafted ‘New Deal Fairness Doctrine’

Sunstein’s proposals outlined in his book “On Rumors” were not the first of his writings to recommend regulating talk radio or the news media.

WND previously reported Sunstein drew up a “First Amendment New Deal” – a new “Fairness Doctrine” that would include the establishment of a panel of “nonpartisan experts” to ensure “diversity of view” on the airwaves.

Then it has to be enforced across the board. I want MSNBC and CNN… Larry King, Chris Matthews, KEITH OLBERMANN, Katie Couric to get off their high horses and treat OUR side with some goddamned respect. Did Sarah Palin get the same respect? No. Were her children needlessly attacked? Absolutely. Was President Bush given any respect from these doucheass low-rating shitstains? Nope. Why? To brighten the tarnished image that IS Barack Hussein Obama. Also, you have no right to change ANYTHING about the United Stated Constitution in order to make Barack Hussein look like a savory character. That’s not how it works. It’s up to HIM and HIM ALONE to make his image. Not you. Not me. Not the media.

Sunstein compared the need for the government to regulate broadcasting to the moral obligation of the U.S. to impose new rules that outlawed segregation.

Sunstein’s radical proposal, set forth in his 1993 book “The Partial Constitution,” received no news media attention and scant scrutiny until the WND report.

In the book, Sunstein outwardly favors and promotes the “Fairness Doctrine,” the abolished FCC policy that required holders of broadcast licenses to present controversial issues of public importance in a manner the government deemed “equitable and balanced.”

Sunstein introduces what he terms his “First Amendment New Deal” to regulate broadcasting in the U.S.

His proposal, which focuses largely on television, includes a government requirement that “purely commercial stations provide financial subsidies to public television or to commercial stations that agree to provide less profitable but high-quality programming.”

Sunstein wrote it is “worthwhile to consider more dramatic approaches as well.”

He proposes “compulsory public-affairs programming, right of reply, content review by nonpartisan experts or guidelines to encourage attention to public issues and diversity of view.”

The Obama czar argues his regulation proposals for broadcasting are actually presented within the spirit of the Constitution.

“It seems quite possible that a law that contained regulatory remedies would promote rather than undermine the ‘freedom of speech,’” he writes.

Sunstein compares the need for the government to regulate broadcasting to the moral obligation of the government stepping in to end segregation.

Writes Sunstein: “The idea that government should be neutral among all forms of speech seems right in the abstract, but as frequently applied it is no more plausible than the idea that it should be neutral between the associational interests of blacks and those of whites under conditions of segregation.“

Sunstein contends the landmark case that brought about the Fairness Doctrine, Red Lion Broadcasting Co. v. Federal Communications Commission, “stresses not the autonomy of broadcasters (made possible only by current ownership rights), but instead the need to promote democratic self-government by ensuring that people are presented with a broad range of views about public issues.“

He continues: “In a market system, this goal may be compromised. It is hardly clear that ‘the freedom of speech’ is promoted by a regime in which people are permitted to speak only if other people are willing to pay enough to allow them to be heard.“

In his book, Sunstein slams the U.S. courts’ unwillingness to “require something like a Fairness Doctrine” to be a result of “the judiciary’s lack of democratic pedigree, lack of fact-finding powers and limited remedial authority.”

He clarifies he is not arguing the government should be free to regulate broadcasting however it chooses.

“Regulation designed to eliminate a particular viewpoint would of course be out of bounds. All viewpoint discrimination would be banned,” Sunstein writes.

But, he says, “at the very least, regulative ‘fairness doctrines’ would raise no real doubts” constitutionally.

Somebody hit me up with this one as a rumor but it’s not. They wanted to ask me about Lil Wayne getting raped at the age of 11 by a woman. I don’t know the age of the girl/woman that raped him. But, he said he was raped at 11. See below.

If the woman was over the age of 17, that’s rape. I know Wayne says he loved it, but it’s very possible that he didn’t. You know, with him saying he was raped, it’s pretty clear that he was in that mental state if he used those specific terms, rather than saying he lost his virginity at 11.

50 Cent and Taco Bell settled a lawsuit filed by the rapper, after the fast-food chain used his name in a commercial to promote tacos on their value menu.

The rapper sued Taco Bell for $1 million dollars in damages over a June 2008 promotion that offered 50 Cent $10,000 to change his name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent or 99 Cent for one day.

50 sued the fast-food chain for using his name and likeness without expressed permission and for making him the “star of a nationwide campaign” without his permission.

Both parties reached a confidential settlement yesterday (November 23) according to lawyers for the rapper.

50 Cent predicted he would emerge victorious in the court battle in a statement to AllHipHop in late June of 2008.

“When my legal team is finished with them, Taco Bell is going to have a new corporate slogan: ‘We messed with the bull and got the horns,” the rapper said in a statement.
