<p>Wie die irische Low-Cost-Airline in einer Pressemitteilung vom 24. November 2009 bekannt gibt, wird der norwegische Flughafen Oslo-Rygge neue Ryanair-Basis. Rygge ist somit die 37. Basis im Streckennetz der Iren und erhält zunächst drei fest stationierte Maschinen, die 16 neue Routen anfliegen werden. Buchbar sind die neuen Routen, ab dem morgigen Mittwoch, 25. November.</p>
<p>Auch deutsche Flughäfen profitieren von der Basiseröffnung im hohen Norden. Rygge wird ab März 2010 mit den deutschen Flughäfen Berlin-Schönefeld, Memmingen und Weeze verbunden. Von Bremen aus ist Oslo-Rygge bereits jetzt mit Ryanair zu erreichen.</p>
<p>Der Flughafen liegt etwa 60 Kilometer südöstlich der norwegischen Hauptstadt Oslo, welche mit dem Shuttlebus oder der Bahn zu erreichen ist.</p>

<title><![CDATA[It's a Family Affair (Brotherly Love Part II)]]></title>

<p>I was told we&#8217;d only be staying an hour and then we&#8217;d make an excuse and leave.  Francy, being the sweet person that he is and who is for some reason is too polite to go to a party make the rounds and then leave, made me stay for 2 and a half mind-numbing hours.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not sure where to begin.  Francy and I are both annoyed by chaos and people who are loud just for the sake of it.  This usually makes any family function a no-no.  It&#8217;s even better when a family function is two families combined.</p>
<p>Aside from the fact that there is an abundance of chest hair, greasy gelled hair, fat &#38;  sweaty dudes goin&#8217; to town on salame and mozzarella as if they&#8217;d never eaten it before, there is also the added pleasure of 10 or more kids all being screeched at by 4 mothers.</p>
<p>I do not leave Francy&#8217;s side at these events.  I&#8217;d go to the toilet with him if I could.  Sticking to him like glue was especially crucial yesterday evening as V. (the evil and utterly 2-faced wife of Francy&#8217;s loveable, but moronic cousin M.) was there and she had to be shunned and made to fear for her life with death-ray stares and Francy&#8217;s &#8220;angry face&#8221;.</p>
<p>Part of the humor/difficulty of staying by Francy&#8217;s side is that I am forced to witness the nasty and bizarre garbage his relatives say out of envy and insanity.  The high point came when we spent 10 minutes talking with Zio E.</p>
<p>Francy&#8217;s uncle is I think maybe 10 years older than Francy.  He considers himself to be the wealthiest and wisest of all men in the great kingdom of Italy.  That&#8217;s odd, I thought he was an electrician.  He is also a well-known pervert and alcoholic.  The first time I ever met him was 3 years ago at lunch when they very nicely invited us over to meet Francy&#8217;s new girlfriend.  Actually, for all their strange habits and maybe because they have never been unkind to me (just ignorant) I just laugh about what I&#8217;ll tell you next.</p>
<p>At one point Zio E. asks Francy how old his cousin F. is.  Francy says that she should be 18, he doesn&#8217;t remember.  Okay, yes this girl is not related to Zio E. (she&#8217;s on the other side of the family), but when he then told Francy, &#8220;Oh yeah when I saw her last she was lookin&#8217; good&#8221; (and I SWEAR he licked his lips before and after) I was a bit grossed-out.</p>
<p><em><strong>YIKES!</strong></em></p>
<p>So yesterday evening while Zio E. managed to scarf down 3 mini calzones in 10 minutes he asked Francy about our trip to Brussels.  Not &#8220;how did the job interview go?&#8221; &#8220;Did you like the city/have fun?&#8221;.  No.  Here&#8217;s the conversation:</p>
<p><strong>Zio: So you went to Brussels?  How&#8217;d you go?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Francy: We flew Ryanair, it was super-cheap.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Zio: Ah noooo, you went to Charleoix, that&#8217;s not Brussels. </strong></p>
<p>At this point I want to leap to Francy&#8217;s defense and shout:</p>
<p><em>Oh my God you sad and pathetic envious old bastard!!! Are you that f-ing stupid?  What city has an airport located in the heart of the city?  The plane lands in Charleoix and you have to take transportation into Brussels!!!!! Don&#8217;t you think we know what city we visited?  Oh that&#8217;s right, you claimed your postcard didn&#8217;t arrive.</em></p>
<p>But I don&#8217;t.  I also don&#8217;t get angry like Francy does.  I just laugh.  It&#8217;s sad to me.</p>
<p>The remainder of the evening was passed watching a poor and confused one-year old get passed around like a sack of potatoes and someone making a short joke every 15 minutes about my brother-in-law.  I assume since they&#8217;ve been making the same joke for 20 years that it must be funny. Thankfully the rest of the party goers simply ignored us for the most part.  No seriously, like Martha Stewart says, &#8220;it&#8217;s a good thing&#8221;.</p>

<p><strong>Movimento nei cieli sopra Barcellona.</strong><br />
A causarlo sono nuovi rumors dall’accento irlandese. Sembra che <a href="http://www.catalunyapress.es/noticia.php?pIdNoticia=18953&#38;pIdioma=es&#38;pSeccion=0">la compagnia aerea Ryanair punti dritta all’aeroporto centrale di Barcellona, El Prat,</a> dove al momento non possiede slot per atterraggi e partenze. Le prime ipotesi sull’arrivo della flotta low cost più grande al mondo nascono <a href="http://www.elpais.com/articulo/cataluna/Ryanair/pide/pista/Prat/elpepiespcat/20090307elpcat_2/Tes/">nel marzo 2009</a>, quando fonti vicine alla compagnia hanno evidenziato la voglia di espandersi sino al capoluogo catalano.<br />
Al momento Rayanair lavora con due aeroporti vicini a Barcellona: Girona e Reus. Tutto questo d’accordo con la filosofia che prevede l’utilizzo di scali a basso costo, generalmente al di fuori dell’area metropolitana delle grandi città.</p>
<p><strong>L’interesse di Ryanair nasce dalla rivoluzione vissuta in questi ultimi mesi dall’aeroporto El Prat.</strong> <a href="http://spaghettibcn.com/20090616_terminal-t-1-aeroporto-el-prat.html">A partire dal 17 giugno è stata inaugurata una nuova ala, battezzata T1</a> (Terminal 1). Essa è andata a sostituire il T2 precedentemente attivo. Praticamente tutte le compagnie che prima operavano nel T2 si sono così trasferite presso il T1, più nuovo e dotato di ogni confort e tecnologie, con la volontà di rendere il nuovo aeroporto uno dei più grandi d’Europa. Di contro, il T2 è rimasto sostanzialmente vuoto.<br />
<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>Ad approfittarne è stata Easyjet,</strong> la quale è riuscita a raggiungere un accordo con la Aena (società che gestisce l’aeroporto) per avere l’uso dello spazio, divenendo l’unica compagnia ad usufruirne. Per la precisione, <a href="http://www.btvnoticies.cat/2009/11/19/easyjet-sinstal%C2%B7la-a-la-terminal-c/">Easyjet dal 19 novembre 2009 (due giorni fa) ha l’esclusiva per il T2C</a>, dunque la parte C del Terminal 2.<br />
<a href="http://www.barcelona-on-line.es/cas/barcelona-news.aspx?idIdioma=1&#38;idPublicacio=11344">Ora Ryanair sembra decisa ad intervenire</a> a gamba tesa sul “monopolio” di Easyjet andando all’assalto degli slot disponibili. La centralità dello spazio fa gola alla società irlandese che nel caso di insediamento avrebbe una nuova base nel cuore di una delle mete turistiche più importanti d’Europa.</p>
<p>È proprio sull’incremento dei voli che fa leva l’amministratore di Ryanair per convincere l’Aena e le autorità locali. Dati alla mano, il T2, visto lo spostamento di tutte le compagnie aeree, continua a perdere passeggeri (nel 2008 ne ha persi 2,5 milioni, 8% di traffico in meno).<br />
<strong>Ryanair potrebbe garantire un’inversione della tendenza. </strong>Un dato che renderebbe felici molti: città, gestori dell’aeroporto, passeggeri non più costretti a prendere bus-navetta, e Ryanair. Ma di certo influirebbe negativamente sul traffico passeggeri degli scali Girona e Reus. Addirittura, <strong>i rumors parlano di un eventuale trasloco totale dei voli Ryanair da Girona a Barcellona El Prat.</strong></p>
<p>Ma si tratta appunto di rumors. <strong>Gli stessi che indicano come, per rendere possibile il trasloco, Ryanair abbia chiesto il 100% di sconto sulle tariffe aeroportuali.</strong> Richieste bizzarre, in linea con le trovate vulcaniche della compagnia irlandese. In cambio, O’Leary garantirebbe gli oltre 7 milioni di passeggeri che ogni anno transitano da Girona.<br />
Al momento la Aena sembra aver giudicato inaccettabili le condizioni dettate dalla compagnia low cost. Si resta in attesa di un’evoluzione della vicenda e dei contatti, che nessuno conferma ma nemmeno smentisce.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/chi-fri-airplane-order-uaua-nov20,0,1725029.story">The airline is being &#8220;furiously courted&#8221;</a> by both <strong>Boeing</strong> and <strong>Airbus</strong>, the newspaper reports, citing unnamed industry insiders.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, another long-time Boeing customer &#8212; <strong>Ryanair</strong> CEO Michael O&#8217;Leary &#8212; is just furious over the way he&#8217;s being treated by the Company, and is threatening to stop buying planes unless he gets a better deal before year&#8217;s end.</p>
<p>First, United Airlines.</p>
<p>Earlier this year, the airline announced plans to come in the market in a major way, with <a href="http://www.marketwatch.com/story/united-airlines-may-buy-up-to-150-jets-journal?siteid=rss&#38;rss=1">an order for up to 150 planes</a>. United&#8217;s weak balance sheet made many doubt whether they were serious, but it now appears that they&#8217;ve been able to line up financing and are seriously shopping, hoping to strike bargains for taking airplanes originally scheduled to go to airlines that now would prefer to wait to take deliveries.</p>
<p>Insiders told the <em>Tribune</em> that United wants to order 25 long-range widebodys now &#8212; with options on up to 75 more &#8212; and then come back next year with a tender for single-aisle planes to replace the 96 <strong>757-200s</strong> it now operates. A firm order for 25 <strong>787s</strong> would be worth about $4.2 billion <a href="http://boeing.com/commercial/prices/index.html">at list prices </a>&#8211; or about $3.1 billion after what analysts say are typical discounts. Replacing the 96 757s with similarly-sized <strong>737-900ERs</strong> would cost about $7.8 billion at list prices, or maybe $5.2 billion after discounts.</p>
<p>Historically, Airbus has cut better deals than Boeing (Boeing complains that&#8217;s because of <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/05/business/global/05wto.html">the illegal subsidies Airbus gets</a>), and analysts are telling the <em>Tribune</em> that Team Toulouse could have the advantage on price again. Airbus also would dearly love to get a second American carrier to buy its A350-XWB. So far, only <strong>US Airways</strong> has done so.</p>
<p>For Boeing, it&#8217;s more a matter of prestige, they say: are Boeing executives in Chicago willing to let Airbus do a deal an airline whose headquarters is only a few blocks away?</p>
<p>But money is an object for Boeing as well. As you probably heard, the Company <a href="http://www.live5news.com/Global/story.asp?S=11545437">broke ground on its ill-conceived South Carolina expansion </a>today. The Company also made headlines in financial markets this week when it issued $1.2 billion worth of corporate bonds &#8212; essentially going out and borrowing that much cash, to help cover cost over-runs and penalties caused by the delays to the massively outsourced 787. To pay back that debt &#8212; and to pay the estimated $1.5 billion analysts say it will spend to <a href="http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/PrintStory.pl?document_id=2010156801&#38;zsection_id=2003750727&#38;slug=boeing29&#38;date=20091029">duplicate its existing Puget Sound facilities</a> in Charleston &#8212; <a href="http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/fitch-expects-to-rate-boeings,1049975.shtml">Boeing needs cash flow</a>, which means it needs this deal.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft" src="http://business.timesonline.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00479/page41_185x360_479687a.jpg" alt="" width="185" height="360" />O&#8217;Leary, the Ryanair chief, also seems to think Boeing should be motivated to cut prices and sell planes. But this week he said <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/AIRLIN/idUSLJ11073520091119">he&#8217;s this close to throwing up his hands </a>and walking away from a potential order for 200 737s, after months of discussions.</p>
<p>If Boeing doesn&#8217;t make a better offer by the end of November, it&#8217;s off, O&#8217;Leary told reporters. &#8220;I am not wasting another Christmas holiday trying to talk to guys in Seattle,&#8221; he told <strong>Reuters</strong>. The <strong><em>Irish Independent</em></strong> also reported that O&#8217;Leary says it&#8217;s <a href="http://www.independent.ie/business/irish/orsquoleary-says-deal-with-boeing-is-lsquohighly-unlikelyrsquo-1949236.html">&#8220;highly unlikely&#8221; that a deal will get done</a>.</p>
<p>Ryanair now operates a fleet of 202 737-800s, and as of October, <a href="http://active.boeing.com/commercial/orders/index.cfm?content=displaystandardreport.cfm&#38;pageid=m25066&#38;RequestTimeout=20000">had another 110 on order</a>. A deal for 200 more &#8216;Three-Sevens would be worth about $15.3 billion at list prices, but analysts say Boeing typically discounts 737 orders by about 30 percent, or even higher for its best customers, making it about a $10 billion deal.</p>
<p>O&#8217;Learly has been public about his frustration with Boeing management all this fall. Earlier, he hinted that <a href="http://iam751.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/boeing-management-scolded-by-workers-key-customer/">Boeing managers seemed obsessed with their 787 problems </a>and unable to focus on doing business with him.</p>

What is striking when you compare both companies is that while Ryanair looks for passengers, easyJet, on the other hand, looks for better per seat revenue&#8230; While easyJet decides to focus on main airports such as Paris CDG, Ryanair pulls planes out of Manchester and opens route elsewhere, like Leeds  Bradford Airport&#8230; While Ryanair doesn’t seem to care at all about customers, easyJet tries to listen them (@easyJetcare for example)&#8230; And the list goes on&#8230;</p>
<p>I decided to sum up some of the differences I noticed. Of course, there are many others, so if you think of some and would like to see them added to the list, please leave a comment. Orange is for easyJet, blue and yellow for Ryanair!</p>

<p>finalmente comecei a viajar pel&#8217;Europa. Fui para Escócia e para a Irlanda. E aparentemente esse negócio de ser barrado na fronteira é para os newbies. Na Irlanda mesmo, com 1 bom-dia, 3 frases intransitivas e um numeral eu consegui 6 vistos de uma vez, o tio da fronteira carimbou os passaportes sem nem olhar pra cara da galera.</p>
<p>Na Escócia foi MUITO mais complicado, a mulher perguntou uma meia dúzia de coisas, como quanto tempo você vai ficar e qual é o seu albergue, e pediu a passagem de volta. Por sinal era um papel impresso da Ryanair (ou seja não vale nada, mas custa 20 euros se você não imprimir). Na segunda vez nem isso, eu entrei no país sem nem olhar na cara de ninguém. Não querendo ser chato nem preconceituoso nem nada, mas essa galera barrada deve ter realmente muito cara de retirante nordestino indo pra Sumpaulo.</p>
<p>Por quê Escócia, por que você não foi pra Londres?</p>
<p>Essa é fácil, estava mais barato. Mesmo assim, &#8216;fikdik&#8217;, se algum dia você resolver comprar uma passagem de 2 cêntimos, lembre dos 5 euros que você vai pagar pra pagar, mais o bilhete do metrô até Porte Maillot, mais os 13 euros até Beauvais (que fica lá na Picardia), mais qualquer coisa de errado que você puder fazer, tipo não imprimir  check-in, chegar atrasado, levar  bagagem de mais, levar uma coisa que não pode.  Enfim, o barato sai caro (mas Londres seria ainda mais caro).</p>
<p>E não, a Escócia não tipo uma Inglaterra do interior.  Antes que alguém faça qualquer comparação com um estrangeiro indo para o Brasil e ficando no Piauí. A Escócia é muito decente. Você entra de graça nos lugares, a cerveja é barata. A cidade é absurdamente antiga e tem umas passagens muito medievais umas escadas entre prédios e uns castelos em pontos estratégicos. Enfim, Edimburgo é um lugar que eu recomendo.</p>
<p>Agora citações menos  longas, não por menor importância,  mas porque eu fiquei menos tempo:</p>
<p>Inverness, onde a palavra Inverno ganha sentido, mesmo no Outono.</p>
<p>Um highlander nos ajudou. Estávamos com frio, meia noite na rua, procurando o albergue e os tios que instalavam as luzes de natal da cidade resolveram sentir pena de nós e a gente pegou carona no furgão de manutenção da prefeitura.  Ai um dos highlanders nos levou até  porta do albergue.</p>
<p>O highlander do albergue estava puto conosco porque a gente chegou tarde. Acho que é hobby nacional de lá reclamar de tudo, porque todo mundo reclama o tempo todo mas é brother.</p>
<p>Depois de Inverness, eu só ando de bermuda e camiseta. Casaco é para os fracos.</p>
<p>Dublim, caro pa porra. Tipo Paris, mas eles falam gaélico, e inglês nas horas vagas. Muito bonita, fui na fábrica da Guiness, não entrei. Comprei 2 Guinesses pra tomar depois e foi só. De noite eu cai na cama. Me chamaram pra sair, mas como de costume eu respondi dormindo e não fui, no outro dia, como os escoceses fiquei reclamando.</p>
<p>Voltamos para Glasgow, bizarramente nenhum oficial de fronteira, ou seja, quer entrar no Reino Unido ilegalmente, Dublin-Glasgow, custa 1 libra (mais 5 pra pagar no cartão e 20 pra levar uma mala), acha uma inglesa, casa e tá em casa.</p>
<p>Não fizemos nada, só ficamos no aeroporto esperando o vôo para Paris.</p>
<p>Foi isso a viagem, eu não tirei fotos, mas vou roubar fotos dos brotheres pra colocar como minhas. Obviamente tem que fazer a seleção e criar as legendas, porque comigo né só tirar um bando de foto e colocar n&#8217;orkut não.</p>

<p>Nice hotel &#8211; even had a balcony &#8211; so I stood out on that and watched the traffic going by for a bit while waiting for the restaurant to open for dinner <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>This trip was a bit strange really &#8211; I was out in Girona only a couple of weeks back to test/inspect the de-icer there, and then out to Reus (200km south) this week. I flew into Reus for this one, but flew out from Girona. It would have made more sense for Ryanair to fly me to Reus, carry out the test there, then drive to Girona, carry out the test there, then jump on the late flight back to Stansted. Instead, I got a night in the hotel, and a hire car to get to Girona <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  ugly looking thing though:</p>

<p>Still, was nice to drive, and the roads in Spain are well maintained and sign posted, so I didn&#8217;t get lost!</p>
<p>It didn&#8217;t bother me at all driving on the other side of the road (although changing gear with my right hand instead of the left was initially odd), but it felt weird when I was driving home from Stansted last night being on the left again &#8211; maybe I&#8217;m destined to live in mainland Europe?</p>
<p>I must sing the praises of the pilot from yesterday though &#8211; I&#8217;ve never experienced such a smooth landing EVER &#8211; you just didn&#8217;t even feel the wheels touch down, I only realised we were down when the brakes came on&#8230;</p>
<p>For once, Stansted border control was empty &#8211; another flight got there at the same time as the first ones off (that&#8217;ll be me then) from our flight so I was 8th in line and got through in super fast time. Seems they&#8217;ve given up looking for similarities between my passport photo and me &#8211; I mean, look:</p>

Vislabākais, ka uz šo lekciju bija atnācis vēlviens pasniedzējs, kas bija studenta lomā &#8211; un viņš tiešām gandrīz aizmiga. Pēc tam bija kursa sapulce, kurā visas savas bēdas varam izrunāt ar kursa direktoru. Viņš ir ļoti pozitīvs, vienmēr apjautājas, kā iet un ļoti par mani uztraucas, jo es par maz smaidu. Tad nu es viņam arī pateicu visu, ko domāju par garlaicīgajām lekcijām. Viņš man apsolīja, ka grupu darbs būs ļoti interesants, ja nē, tad manā vietā uzrakstīšot maģistra darbu <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' />  Grupu darbs tiešām izklausās ļoti labi, jo būs iespēja ceļot <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Tad laikam mana prioritāte būs pēc kompānijas atrašanās vietas, nevis darba satura&#8230; Viss ceļš un dzīvošana būs apmaksāti, grupā 6-8 cilvēki parasti, un ir iespēja tikt tādās kompānijās kā Rolls-Royce un Airbus un citās slavenās organizācijās. Tad jau februārī redzēs, pagaidām jāpārcieš vēl atlikušie moduļi, mājasdarbi un eksāmeni.</p>

A warning light indicates a hydraulic failure on the network side of the Boeing 737, has prevented the pilot to land the aircraft in good conditions.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">For about 30 minutes, the aircraft flew over the airport and made several rotations above the city, raising fears the worst for passenger aircraft: &#8220;Six or seven times, we descended in altitude and then reassembled. Inside the aircraft, we were asked to fasten our belts and put their heads between our legs, &#8220;says one passenger.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">A hard landing to believe a passenger plane residing Tillé and also a helicopter pilot: &#8220;There was a big earthquake at the time of landing that was not normal. &#8220;To justify the possible earthquakes, civil aviation said that&#8221; the pilot may have made a braking care not to consume the runway. &#8220;</p>

<title><![CDATA[Spanish pilots complain about Ryanair fuel saving practices ]]></title>

According to several allegations by Spanish aviation professionals, <a href="http://lowcostaccidents.wordpress.com/aircrafts-fuel-rationing/">Ryanair commonly refuels its aircrafts with the minimum amount of kerosene needed</a>. Ryanair, by reducing its carried amount of fuel, spends less money and reduces its consumption. However, by European standards of aviation safety, all passenger aircraft must load more fuel than needed, to be able to fly an extra 30 and 45 minutes to be able to reach, in case of emergency or necessity, the next closest airport.</p>
<p>Earlier this month,<a href="http://www.elconfidencialdigital.com/images/HTMLText/Carta_Sindicatos-Ryanair.pdf"> </a><a href="http://tinyurl.com/yzk9vl8">a website</a> mentioned Ryanair’s landing irregularities. Due to the fact that Ryanair tries to lower its cost by loading less fuel, its pilots have already had to ask for emergency access to runways. The problem is that pilots usually can’t ask for an emergency landing without a specific process that involves later investigation, a procedure that can have serious implications for the airline. The article says that when Ryanair’s pilots are short on fuel, they usually ask for priority access, but don’t dare to report a real emergency landing and follow the legal process. Fifteen days ago, a Spanish pilot from Iberia, probably bitter or annoyed by Ryanair’s behaviour, asked the tower to confirm that Ryanair’s demand was to indeed an &#8220;emergency due to lack of fuel”, forcing Ryanair’s pilot to admit to the ploy. But on order to avoid the ensuing investigation, the Ryanair pilot asked for the landing to not be labeled as an emergency. Iberia’s pilot then told the tower that if Ryanair’s plane was awarded the priority landing, without any admission of a state of emergency, he’d file a complaint against the airport securities authorities and Ryanair. Ryanair’s captain then urgently requested an alternative airport for landing.</p>
<p>In a recent <a href="http://www.elconfidencialdigital.com/images/HTMLText/Carta_Sindicatos-Ryanair.pdf">letter</a> to the Spanish Minister of Development, the entire Spanish aviation worker union accused Ryanair of dangerous behaviour: failure to declare Spanish workers to the Spanish healthcare system, use of misleading ads and other aspects deemed by Spanish aviation professionals as illegal or unfair. One more time, Ryanair will have to justify its practices judged as barely legal.</p>
<p>Moreover, this is not the first time <a href="http://wp.me/pyUik-3J">Ryanair runs into problems with local authorities</a>. Indeed, in November of 2006, the French Government adopted a decree, which forced any airline with bases in France to comply with French labour and social laws. In 2007, the Conseil d’Etat (France’s highest court) rejected appeals by both easyJet and Ryanair, which argued that their cabin staff worked for company headquarters outside of France and were therefore not subject to French Law.</p>
<p>When cost cutting schemes have an impact on passenger safety, it raises a whole other issue. Cutting costs should never bear an impact on safety.</p>

<p><strong>Allgemein</strong>:<br />
Der Flughafen Weeze wurde 2003 mit einem Ryanair-Flug von London-Stansted für den zivilen Luftverkehr freigegeben. Seither hat er sich, nach Düsseldorf und Köln/Bonn, zum drittgrößten Flughafen in Nordrhein-Westfalen entwickelt, wobei Ryanair den Großteil der Strecken anbietet, die ab Weeze geflogen werden.</p>
<p><strong>Anfahrt/Abfahrt:</strong><br />
PKW: Der Flughafen ist ab Düsseldorf über die A57 zu erreichen. Man verlässt an der Ausfahrt 3 (Uedem) die Autobahn und folgt dann der Beschilderung.<br />
Vom Ruhrgebiet aus nimmt man die A42/A40 bis zu den jeweiligen Autobahnkreuzen mit der A57 und nimmt diese dann in Richtung Norden bis zur Ausfahrt 3. Ab dort folgt man der Beschilderung.</p>
<p>ÖPNV: Mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist die Anfahrt nicht ganz so einfach. Ab Düsseldorf fährt der Niers-Express halbstündlich nach Weeze und Kevelaer.<br />
Ab Dortmund/Bochum/Essen muss man in Duisburg UND Krefeld umsteigen. In Krefeld nimmt man dann ebenfalls den Niers-Express in Richtung Kleve und steigt in Kevelaer oder Weeze um.</p>
<p>In Kevelaer und Weeze fahren dann Busse bzw. Anruf-Sammeltaxen jeweils halbstündig zum Flughafen. Man sollte sich vorher auf <a href="http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/d" target="_blank">www.bahn.de</a> informieren, ob man in Kevelaer oder Weeze aussteigen muss.<br />
ACHTUNG: Die Gültigkeiten der Fahrkarten sind in den Bussen von Kevelaer bzw. Weeze unterschiedlich geregelt. NRW-Tickets (also Schöne-Fahrt-Tickets, Schöner-Tag-Tickets, Studententickets etc.), sowie Verbundtickets der <a href="http://www.vgn-online.de/" target="_blank">VGN</a> werden in beiden Bussen akzeptiert. Es ist also nicht nötig einen weiteren Fahrschein zu kaufen.<br />
Einzelfahrscheine der Bahn, welche bis Weeze ausgestellt sind, besitzen im Bus von Weeze Bahnhof zum Flughafen ebenfalls Gültigkeit. Für den Bus von Kevelaer zum Flughafen muss allerdings eine neue Fahrkarte für 4,10€ gekauft werden.</p>
<p>Shuttle-Bus: Von Essen und Duisburg betreibt ein lokales Taxiunternehmen einen Shuttleservice zum Flughafen. Preise und Abfahrtszeiten könnt ihr deren <a href="http://www.airport-shuttle-express.com/html/startseite.html" target="_blank">Website</a> entnehmen.</p>
<p>Shuttlebusse fahren außerdem nach Köln, Arnhem, Nijmegen und Amsterdam. Weitere Infos hierzu findet man auf der <a href="http://www.airport-weeze.de/2-3_an_und_abreise_bus_und_bahn.php" target="_blank">Website</a> des Flughafens.</p>
<p><strong> Ryanair-Ziele</strong>:<br />
Weeze ist eine von drei deutschen Basen im Ryanairstreckennetz und verfügt somit über fest stationierte Maschinen, die den Flughafen mit Europa verbinden. Derzeit fliegt Ryanair von Weeze aus über 40 Ziele in ganz Europa und Marokko an. <p><strong>Parken:<br />
</strong>Auf dem Gelände des Flughafens Weeze gibt es zwei Parkplätze. P1 mit etwa 1000 Parkplätzen ist direkt am Terminal gelegen. P2 hat etwa 6400 Parkpläze. P2 ist der günstigere Parkplatz. Je nachdem an welchem Punkt des Parkplazes man einen Stellplatz erwischt, kann dies allerdings einen recht langen Marsch zur Folge haben.<br />

<p><strong> Gastronomie/Shopping:<br />
<span style="font-weight:normal;">Mit dem Wachstum des Flughafens hat sich einiges in Sachen Gastronomie getan. Gab es jahrelang nur ein einziges Café, so gibt es mittlerweile überall </span></strong>im Flughafen etwas zu Essen oder zu Trinken zu kaufen. Dies gilt sowohl für den Bereich vor der Sicherheitskontrolle, wie auch für den Bereich an den Abfluggates.<br />
Die Preise der Gastronomie sind allerdings nicht gerade moderat. Wer satt werden will, dem sei die Bockwurst empfohlen.<br />
Direkt nach der Sicherheitskontolle kommt man in einen Travel Value/Duty Free Shop, welcher alle erdenklichen Produkte verkauft, die für die Reise von Nöten sind.</p>
