Bueh…hoy fue el último día de clase…pero no fue el último día en que nos veremos todos, aún queda la graduación y la gala (aunque ambos son en diciembre…) aunque no siento como si los estuviera dejando para siempre, no quiero pensar de forma tan dramatica…Lo bueno de mi colegio es que está muy cerca, y que es como un segundo hogar donde todos pueden volver alguna vez si quieren….es casi como decir: ” Itekimasu! “…”Ya me voy…”

The awaited boy Natsuru’s date with Prez Shizuku O.o

 While the dark  haired beauty puts forth the date  plan, Natsuru’s  dumb head takes that  as a plan by the Prez to lure the new mysterious white Kampfer. Shizuku tries her best  to appeal to Natsuru  (even obentos ?!?! I never  imagined for her to cook well somehow >.>)

 The whole episode thus went that way. OMG,  but wait  what  happens  if other followers of Natsuru come to know of  it?  Tho’  the date went uninterrupted,  Natsuru  gets  beaten  by  his  childhood  safari Mikoto and threatened  to  another date  with Akane  at the  end.

We are  yet to see about the white Kampfer and also…..(whispers) could Sakura-san be the moderator? I’m curious….

Thankfully,  kinda just a  LITTLE fanservice was lessened COMPARED to other episodes (maybe coz female Natsuru didnt make her appearance?) and somehow it looked like  a filler to me. but oh well, another half-an-hour killed on watching  something move on the screen >.>

I’m waiting for more fights….bad me I know…

No, not me (not for the first time anyway!!) It was our Grandson’s 18th earlier in the month and on wednesday our nephew is 18. I have to admit to being a bit of a coward and feeling that something to do with music is reasonably safe ground for this age group! On this occasion, I’ve used electric guitar 2 from my own digi stamp collection and coloured it with coloursoft pencils and sakura pens. The bps are: the red one from the Polished Stone Brights Collection and the grey one is from the Embossed Dots Brights Collection which I lightened a little in my graphics program. All the papers have been edged with Anita’s glitterations borders in black which helps to both define it and give it a lift. I’m entering this card into this week’s Stampin’ For the Weekend Challenge who want a card for a ‘big’ occasion.

Lo haiku (俳句) pronuncia giapponese /haiku/ con tono basso su /ha/ e tono alto su /iku/, e opzionalmente con abbassamento tonale alla fine, nella catena parlata; è un componimento poetico creato in Giappone nel secolo XVII di tre versi caratterizzati da cinque, sette e ancora cinque sillabe.

È una poesia dai toni semplici che elimina i fronzoli lessicali e le congiunzioni e trae la sua forza dalle suggestioni della natura, da momenti di vita quotidiana e dalle sue stagioni.

Per l’estrema brevità richiede una grande sintesi di pensiero e d’immagine.

In Occidente lo haiku trova la sua espressione anche nella metrica cosiddetta “all’occidentale” formata da sette, undici e ancora sette sillabe .   

Tradizionalmente gli haiku hanno sempre un riferimento stagionale o kigo, cioè un accenno alla stagione che definisce il momento dell’anno in cui viene composta o al quale è dedicata.

We had a fun weekend! Actually weekends are usually pretty fun here since Ryohei is around and its not just Sakura and me all day long… (that gets old pretty quick since its not like she can really do much on her own and i think she gets bored of just seeing me and the occasional old lady at the nearby grocery store.)

Friday we went to spend the night at the PIL since they live closer to Gunma and Sakura and I took the local train 50 minutes from Nagaoka Station to the one about 7 minutes from Ryohei parents. I had (in hindsight poorly) planned for Sakura to get her afternoon nap on the train ride but she woke up after only 15 minutes due to loud high school students and the door opening and closing.. usually she sleeps.. well… like a baby on trains..

Anyways we got to PIL around 4pm and she cried from 4:15pm to 5:30pm when I finally put her to bed. I think MIL thinks shes is broken or something since she is NEVER in a good mood when we are there. And of course the Iroha comparisons were thrown like rice at a wedding… they were surprised Sakura is so skinny and long. I guess Iroha is short and round…

Anyways after nearly an hour and a half of screaming which reminded me eerily of her first 6 weeks of life – she went off to sleep in regular Sakura fashion.

Saturday she was so tired that she didn’t want to wake up at 6:30 like she usually does but Ryohei’s parents “insisted” on seeing her before they left for work so we had to wake her up at 7:45… I’m not a fan of waking sleeping babies esp. for my parents in law but we did it anyways and she was in a fairly good mood so she let them fawn over her a bit. She’s pretty look but don’t touch with them.. but then again they still try and hold her in a cradling position and now that her head is fully functional she – HATES it.

Anyways after that we headed down to Gunma! We got there pretty quick  only about an hour and fifteen minutes! Woo hoo! It was a lot of fun and Ryohei is his usual fashion was the entertainment for the bigger kids while the rest of the ladies chatted and admired the two smaller babies. It was good food and fun. Thank you so much Laura A. for hosting us and also it was great to finally meet Sophie and Sakurako. Sakurako in particular seemed to enjoy baby Sakura she was petting her head and gave her a hug as well.. very cute!

It is only an hour and a bit from Ryohei’s parents so if we use the ETC to get there its only 2000 yen round trip Hopefully we will be able to meet up every few months…

Anyways the way back we went back to Nagaoka and it took quite a bit longer… Sakura was pretty cranky and then it started raining so we took a rest and a parking area and had dinner there. It took us about 2.5 hours with the stop included and we were all pretty exhausted by the time we got back.

Today was supposed to be rainy but ended up being sunny so we caught up on some house chores and then drove out to a park but it was super windy and cold so we headed back after a brief stop at Akachan Honpo for Sakura and Starbucks for us!

Sakura was being SO cute this weekend.. she is SO chatty now. I wonder if she’ll continue to be a chatty baby/toddler. It makes me crack up when she tooks to us, herself, her toys, etc etc..

Hard to believe she’ll be 4 months soon. At Akachan Honpo we saw another baby crying that was about a month old.. it was a big shock to realize just how much Sakura has matured.. she doesn’t sound or look like a newborn at all. She’s trying so hard to roll over and smiles and occasionally laughs, and has head control.. it really is true time goes quickly.

I just hope this week goes quickly so we can head out to Shizuoka to see Nay and Naoki again!! I can’t wait. We haven’t seen them for over 2.5 months now. This month has really gone by fast… just another 3 weeks until we leave for America?! And then it’ll almost be 2010… I really can NOT believe it!

C’era una volta nel lontano Regno Verde di Terra Piana una bellissima principessa di nome Sakura.

Dolce, sensibile, dal carattere amabile ed idealista, sempre allegra e sorridente, disposta ad ascoltare con orecchio teso  e cuore aperto tutti i suoi sudditi, pronta ad elargire a chiunque ne avesse avuto bisogno, una parola di conforto e una mano di aiuto.

Nata in un meraviglioso giorno di sole allo sbocciare della primavera, creatura splendida, dalla carnagione bianchissima e i lunghi capelli castani,  la dolce fanciulla era amata da tutto il suo popolo, che fiero e orgoglioso vedeva in lei la futura regina adatta a detenere fra le mani ben salde, alla sua salita al trono, le redini del loro reame con accortezza e dedizione.

Forte e coraggiosa, ma anche piena di sogni e di illusioni come tutte le giovani della sua età – Sakura messi da parte i doveri di corte – cullava nel cuore un grande sogno d’amore: sposare un giorno un giovane principe dallo sguardo fiero e intrigante,  ribelle e amante della libertà, capace di non farsi trattenere da alcuna catena e far volare in alto i suoi sogni, diverso da tutti quelli che avevano chiesto la sua mano, i quali non erano mai stati capaci di farle battere forte il cuore come lei desiderava,  coi loro modi compiti e noiosi.

Così un giorno di ritorno dal paese, Sakura fermandosi presso il Fiume Canterino per abbeverare il suo cavallo sfinito dalla lunga cavalcata, scorgendo di colpo poco lontano da lei un giovane straniero intento a carezzare il proprio destriero chino a dissetarsi alla stessa fonte, bellissimo nei suoi delicati lineamenti e il sorriso dolcissimo dell’adorabile canaglia ben stampato sulle labbra, nell’incrociare i suoi occhi il cuore prese a  balzarle nel petto, riconoscendo in lui l’uomo che aveva atteso da sempre.

Alto, bello, dai lineamenti leggiadri, i lunghi capelli color dell’ebano legati stretti da un cordone di cuoio in una lunga coda, col mantello azzurro drappeggiato sull’abito bianco, era il ritratto stesso della bellezza e della libertà.

E appena i loro occhi si incrociarono, spavaldo e fiero come nella sua indole, lui le sorrise subito di rimando, invitandola a sedere al suo fianco per godere insieme del meraviglioso spettacolo delle acque del Fiume, lente nei loro movimenti.

“Sakura!” le sussurrò lui chiedendo di conoscerla “E’ un nome bellissimo! Significa fiore di ciliegio! E come lo splendido albero sboccia durante la  stagione dei fiori in tutto il suo incanto, così la primavera ha dato vita a una creatura altrettanto mirabile!”

E restando insieme a parlare seduti sull’erba, baciati dal sole, cullati dal dolce cinguettio degli uccelli del bosco in festa dinanzi al loro amore, trascorsero l’intero pomeriggio a conoscersi.

Giovane principe dello sconfinato Regno del Bianco Nord, il bellissimo Leonida rappresentava tutto quanto Sakura avesse sempre sognato sin da bambina: forte, coraggioso, tenace, dal sorriso angelico capace di farle vibrare le corde più nascoste del cuore, lui sapeva incantarla con parole mai udite, e soprattutto sapeva lasciarla senza fiato col sonoro suono della sua risata audace e sfrontata, affascinandola col piglio dell’indomabile mascalzone, come nessuno era mai riuscito, sconvolgendo la sua vita.

E terminata la chiacchierata, mentre il tramonto scarlatto faceva risplendere le acque del Fiume in mille bagliori di lucenti scintille vermiglie, Sakura scoprendosi innamorata,  chinò per la prima volta il capo affranta, al triste pensiero di dover far ritorno da sola al suo Regno senza il suo amato al proprio fianco.

Ma lui offrendosi di accompagnarla, le sfiorò con le labbra il dorso della mano con dolcezza infinita “Vorrei che questo pomeriggio potesse non finire mai! Permettimi di scortarti per qualche altro stralcio di tempo ancora! Crono è tiranno, ma io sento di poter sfidare qualsiasi creatura al tuo fianco!”

E lei prendendo a galoppare accanto al suo cavallo, lasciò che lui l’accompagnasse, col cuore colmo di gioia.

Al momento di lasciarsi, dinanzi ai portali del  castello, sotto gli occhi stupiti delle sentinelle, il giovane principe si chinò su di lei e  la baciò con tenerezza infinita.

E all’indomani i due comunicarono ai rispettivi genitori il desiderio di sposarsi.

Dinanzi alla loro fermezza e al candore abbagliante del loro Amore, essendo cosa buona per il futuro di ambedue i Regni che entrambi convolassero a giuste nozze, fu dato loro il consenso senza alcuna remora.

E fra lunghe passeggiate, chiacchierate animate, sguardi languidi e promesse sussurrate alla luna, il tempo della cerimonia nuziale giunse veloce, senza farsi attendere.

Ma la notte prima delle nozze mentre Sakura era intenta a dormire per l’ultima volta da sola nel suo letto, una strana visione venne a farle visita: Vera il bellissimo spirito della Verità, meravigliosa, avvolta nella sua veste più candida, coi lunghi capelli turchini tempestati di profumati fiori, a denti stretti col suo sorriso più amaro, scese nei suoi sogni per parlarle a cuore aperto e metterla in guardia “Sakura cara ascoltami! Io sono la fonte viva di ogni Verità e in quanto tale, non potevo esimermi dal confessarti ciò che era nel mio animo! Attenta a ciò che desideri perché potresti ottenerlo … amare una persona per quello che essa è realmente, senza cercare di cambiarla in alcun modo, è una cosa meravigliosa, ma anche molto difficile e fonte di grandi sacrifici! Aspetta prima di legarti al bel Leonida e  chiedi consiglio a Crono!”

Ma non avendo orecchie che per l’Amore, lei al risveglio non pensò neppure per un attimo con serietà a quel sogno e anzi ne rise, dimenticandolo presto.

Il loro matrimonio fu tra i più fastosi che si fossero mai visti, e i festeggiamenti per le migliaia di invitati intervenuti da tutti e due i regni si protrassero fino a notte inoltrata fra balli, canti, trionfi di  cibi squisiti e fiumi di ottimo vino.

La vita come moglie rese sin da subito Sakura molto felice, il  sogno d’amore che aveva segretamente cullato nel proprio cuore sin da bambina si era infine avverato, e nulla era più bello per lei dell’essere amata da suo marito.

Leonida era soltanto suo,  solo suo e di nessun altra. E  ogni notte addormentandosi fra le sue braccia, stretta al suo petto, cullata dal dolce cadenzare del suo respiro, sentiva che non esisteva al mondo gioia più grande, unica e vera.

Ma un mattino di primavera mentre i primi furtivi raggi del sole, carezzavano dolcemente il viso sereno di Sakura ancora immersa nel sonno, una dura sorpresa si era preparata per lei.

Voltandosi raggiante ancora semiaddormentata la giovane fece per distendere pigramente la mano in cerca del marito al proprio fianco, quando d’improvviso un gelo profondo le bloccò il cuore nel petto.

Il posto accanto al suo era vuoto:  Leonida non c’era.

Disperata Sakura scese allora dal letto pallida e tremante e inghiottendo a tratti la paura, prese a cercarlo in tutte le camere, chiamando a sé i servitori e tutti i loro soldati per chiedere ad uno ad uno notizie del marito.

Ma scuotendo il capo alla sua domanda, sorpresi quanto lei, nessuno sembrava averlo visto.

Lui non era solito lasciare mai la camera da letto senza averla prima destata con un bacio per darle il buongiorno.

E tenendo per sé le sue paure, Sakura strinse i pugni chiusi al petto, senza farne parola con nessuno.

Attese tre giorni. Una settimana. Un mese.

Al cadere dei primi bianchi fiocchi di neve, chiusa nel silenzio della sua stanza Sakura ricordò le parole dello spirito apparsole in sonno la sera prima del suo matrimonio, e sentendo il suo cuore stringersi in una morsa, pianse tutte le sue lacrime.

Naruto menganggap kalau Sakura bohong pada dirinya sendiri dengan mengatakan “I love u “ pada Naruto. Mendengar ini jelas seorang wanita seperti Sakura akan marah. Siapa yang gak akan marah kalau pernyataan cintanya dijawab dengan jawaban yang gak diharapkan, bahkan menyakitkan!?

Sakura hanya ingin Naruto melupakan janji yang dibuatnya, membawa kembali Sasuke untuk Sakura. Sakura gak ingin Naruto masuk ke dalam bahaya lagi, karena Naruto adalah Jinchuriki dari Kyubi yang menjadi incaran Akatsuki. Tapi Naruto tetap pada pendiriannya akan menolong Sasuke, walaupun Sakura meminta Naruto melupakan janji yang udah dikatakan dulu.

I know why Sasuke… is so obsessed with revenge… He loved his family and clan… I think it’s because he loved them so much that he can’t let it go.

Di lain tempat, Killerbee alias Hachibi sedang berhadapan dengan salah satu anggota Akatsuki yang konon kemampuannya mirip dengan Jinchuriki, Kisame.

Samehada, pedang Kisame memang luar biasa. Serangan yang dilakukan Hachibi bisa dimentahkan oleh Samehada. Malah cakra dari Hachibi diserap oleh Samehada.

Pernah membohongi diri sendiri dengan menyatakan cinta kepada seseorang!?

Today my sister Mai came over with a brand new copy of Mein Kampf tucked under her arm, an intended birthday gift for her mother-in-law. Lest you naughty-minded ones there think that this is somehow an allusion to her MIL being Der Fuhrer, I will have to say that her mother-in-law is into autobiographies and that she has a great relationship with my sister.

At first I thought it was for me because I’ve been wanting to buy a Kindle copy of the book but Mai explained that she wanted me to wrap it for her mother-in-law instead (pfffft.). She knows I am totally anal when it comes to wrapping gifts and that I also have plenty of Gocco’d gift tags stashed around the house. Nothing makes me itch to put those wrapping skills to work more than an unwrapped autobiography of Adolf Hitler haha.

Mai tells me her MIL would be glad to know that we used recycled materials. So we scrounged around for some leftover Manila paper, a recycled ribbon and a handmade gift tag (with my sakura design) I made early this year from bits of leftover paper I used for my notecards. Here’s the result:

I think we did pretty well considering the lack of recyclable materials around the house.

Wrapping the gift led me to search for other handmade cards which had my sakura (cherry blossoms – or at least my interpretation of it) design Print Gocco’d on them.

My good friend Yoshitomo tells me Sakura is written 「桜 」ちゃん in Japanese. If you don’t have Japanese support installed on your pc that would have just shown up as a bunch of squares, but it’s just as beautiful and unique as Sakura herself if you can see it.

Had some good news the other day, Lona Records will be releasing my new EP. The release date hasn’t been finalised but I’m guessing it will be early 2010.

The track listing will be:

Each track is available as full length preview at Last FM and Track 4 can be downloaded for free. I’m working on a video for the lead track which involves stop motion/time-lapse photography, so it’s taking forever to finish.

My favourite of the four is Sakura, inspired by Cherry Blossoms, Japanese Horror Movies, Brian Eno and Metronomes. It’s a free floating melody set over a repeating drum loop.

I’ve heard of sleep regressions before but wondering if “this” is it. Sakura has been a pretty consistent sleeper since she was born but pretty much after I got back from Osaka her nighttime sleep is worse than when she was a newborn. She’s 15 weeks now so almost 16 weeks and the sleep regression is supposed to be from “4 months” so…

She still sleeps pretty well for her first stretch of the night. Usually when I get her down around 6-7 until 11:30 or so when I go  to bed. After that shes up every 1-2 hours (awake) and needs to be nursed back to sleep – nothing else seems to work and if I don’t do anything she starts to loudly cry/vocalize…

I have been SO exhausted… she was pretty much sleeping through from 6-6 with one feed or occasionally….now I’m up more of the night than I’m asleep.

I’ve heard it can take weeks to resolve this… so not really excited and hoping that my long sleeping will be back as I had started to forget the lack of sleep exhaustion of the first 6 weeks… only to have it thrown right back in my face.

I have another Christmas card to share with you today and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed  making it. I started with the lovely sketch at Sketch Saturday which I turned round. The image is the Christmas Garland and is just new on the website and has been coloured with coloursoft pencils and sakura pens then highighted with crystal glitter. It’s much more glittery in real life than the photo shows. The bp one of my own. A scalloped mat cut on the robo, ribbon and a few gems finish it off and make it suitable for these 5 challenges too:

Sakura Haruno (春野サクラ, Haruno Sakura) is a main character in the anime and manga series Naruto. She is a Chunin-level kunoichi of Konohagakure, a medical-nin, and a member of Team Kakashi.

Personality

At the start of the series, Sakura had a deep infatuation for Sasuke Uchiha, rooted primarily in his good looks, cunning, cool attitude, and prodigious talents. For that reason, many of Sakura’s early appearances are dedicated to her continuing efforts to win his affection. As the story progresses, she begins to recognize that Sasuke is a real person with imperfections, and develops a more sincere desire to be there for him. Sakura also becomes concerned that Sasuke will someday abandon her and the rest of Konohagakure in his quest for power. When her fears come true at the end of Part I, Sakura does all that she can to stop Sasuke from leaving, such as professing her love for him and offering to join him. Though touched by her words, they do not stop Sasuke from defecting from Konoha.

Since then, Sakura has made her personal goal to bring Sasuke home, which becomes a recurring component of her role in Part II. Although she still worries about his well-being, Sakura is willing to attack him if it means returning him to Konoha. As time goes on and Sasuke becomes an increasingly more dangerous criminal, Sakura recognizes that Sasuke must be stopped at all costs. She also tells Naruto that she no longer has any feelings for Sasuke since he just keeps breaking her heart.

Sakura’s relationship with Naruto Uzumaki, like with Sasuke, also changes throughout the series. When first teamed up together, Sakura viewed Naruto as a talentless idiot who deliberately tried to ruin her life, the result of Naruto’s efforts to win her heart interfering with her similar efforts with Sasuke. However, as the story progresses and Naruto continuously shows his worth as a ninja as well as his dedication to his teammates, Sakura realizes that her initial perceptions of him were wrong. After Sasuke defects from Konoha, Sakura pleads to Naruto, believing him to be the only one capable of bringing Sasuke back. Although Naruto fails and is left in the hospital afterwards, he vows to someday complete the task she has given him. Realizing the lengths Naruto will go to for her, Sakura spends the next three years training with Tsunade so that in the future she can join Naruto in his quest to bring Sasuke back.

In Part II, Sakura learns of the various hardships Naruto faces: the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox and Akatsuki.[1] Saddened by the impact both forces have had on his life, Sakura becomes protective of Naruto and tries to do whatever she can to help him overcome these obstacles. Sakura grows to be very close to and fond of Naruto, due to their spending a lot of time together. After Sai tells her about Naruto’s love for her and the pain that trying to fulfill his promise causes, Sakura is filled with guilt. Soon afterwards she tells Naruto that she loves him and tries to get him to give up on his promise, but he does not believe her and tells her she is lying to herself. Despite this, Yamato has suggested that Sakura’s feelings for Naruto are more than mere friendship.[2]

Unlike the rest of Team 7, Sakura is the only one of the four members who has not suffered any heavy losses. Therefore, things that her teammates desire, such as family and friends, Sakura took for granted. Also, Sakura is quite outspoken, as when she doesn’t understand something or if it bothers her, she tends to practically yell out in questioning or complaining to someone. However, all of this seemed to change by Part II, as she becomes more knowledgeable towards Naruto and Sasuke’s sufferings, and tries to ease them. As her personality matures, she also shouts less, but still questions unknown situations plenty.

Within Sakura resides “Inner Sakura” (内なるサクラ, Uchi Naru Sakura), a manifestation of her inner emotions. In addition to comic relief, Inner Sakura represents Sakura’s actual opinion on things when she outwardly displays something opposite. Inner Sakura’s appearances are typically marked by an exclamation of “Shānnarō!” (しゃーんなろー). The phrase has no literal meaning, but is usually translated as “Hell yeah!”, “Hell no!”, or “Damn it!”, depending on the situation. The English anime, for censorship reasons, replaced the aforementioned phrases with a forceful “Cha!”. Inner Sakura is unique as it is in a way a second will within Sakura’s mind. When Ino used the Mind Body Switch Technique on her, Inner Sakura was able to repel the user from her body, suggesting that Inner Sakura is a split personality. Although she appears quite frequently at the start of the series, Inner Sakura all but disappears midway through Part I, her only other subsequent appearance being at the start of Part II. Sakura, likewise, now performs the emotional, violent outbursts she once relied on Inner Sakura for, much to the dismay of those who are around her at the time.
