I had a fab day today – we had a model shoot with Catherine Quinn and Laura Holland, who was the make-up artist and hair stylist.

We shot at the The Grove Ferry Inn and the weather was just right!

I am posting one quick picture and would like to say thanks to Anthony for his hospitality and to Catherine and Laura for being such fun to work with. I’ll be proofing the rest tomorrow, so watch this space!

I met up with Gary at St Mary’s in Faversham to grab a few shots before the ceremony. The weather was absolutely beautiful, with barely a cloud in the sky.

After a few initial nerves, and checking that he still did, indeed, have the rings, we were good to go. The guests were arriving and it was time for them to go into the church after a few final words for Gary from the vicar …

Gorgeous Isabella was Siobhan’s bridesmaid and I love this image of her shadow on her mother’s dress …

Siobhan looked wonderful in her fitted platinum coloured dress, with some final adjustments from her sister, the bridal party was ready to enter the church …

The ceremony was held in the chapel and it is truly a beautiful place to celebrate a wedding.

After the ceremony and formal pictures outside, we moved on to the Bell Hotel in Sandwich, a gorgeous venue, right on the river.

Siobhan and Gary’s cake was made up of gorgeous iced cupcakes, topped with butterflies which was the theme of the room decorations.

Gillian was inside, confirming all the details … the light in the ante-room is just gorgeous, with sunshine flooding in through the windows and wonderful mirrors to catch glimpses …

All eyes were on the couple during the ceremony … I love this touching moment …

After Gillian and Shaun were pronounced man and wife, we made our way to Mount Ephraim Gardens, near Faversham, where we had arranged to take further formal and informal pictures. Richard was busy taking the formal shots, and I was able to stroll around, chatting to the guests and taking pictures. This is Lauren, who is 11 and such a gorgeous bridesmaid!

We made our way back up the hill …

And made our way to Faversham, where all the guests were waiting for the celebrations to start. One final picture, which I really love …

I took the chance to visit Jane, Martin and Abbie at their house at Seasalter – Jane and Martin are a little camera shy and I wanted to take the opportunity of taking a few pictures so that they could feel more confident on the day. And here they are …

I am so looking forward to their wedding celebrations, which will be at a beautiful venue, Reads, in Faversham, close to where I live … see you all very soon!

Freddie won’t be there on Linda and Bill’s wedding day, but friends and family are coming from far and wide to celebrate their special day. I lost count of the different countries that Linda mentioned … it’s going to a huge party and I just can’t wait!

Not to be outdone, this is Rob …

I am so excited about the wedding as I know that Maria is going to be a really beautiful bride … who I get to photograph on her special day!

Pre-wedding shoots are a great thing to do (in fact, I offer it in my wedding photography packages) – we had the opportunity to discuss Maria and Rob’s thoughts on photography and also to play around with some ideas on composition.

The wedding is in just over nine weeks – and counting!

Mummy and daddy wanted to get a picture of the whole family – it can be a bit of a challenge to get everyone looking the same way, especially when there are lots of lovely toys around from the boys recent birthday party …

But I think we managed OK …

And then we got to playing around with balloons … (OK, some of the balloons weren’t really there, but it was great fun!)

The boys rocked the house with their amazing drum skills …

I had such an enjoyable time with this lovely family and will be sending your slideshow very soon!

Kate is really looking forward to seeing the pictures from their wedding and asked me to post a few more here before sending the disc to them.

So, the story unfolds at Ash Ridge Farm, near Canterbury … on a very wet morning … the preparations for the bride were reaching fever pitch … with all hands on deck (including me, making the tea …)

The beautiful jewellery and flowers make for a great montage …

A quick dash across country (thanks SatNav …), and I arrived for the final preparations at Great Farthingloe Barn, with Ian (the best man), making final adjustments to James’s buttonhole (can you spot the rain drops?)

However, once the ceremony started, all eyes were on the happy couple …

After the ceremony, led by Celebrant Tim Chicken, the guests and Kate and James made their way into the marquee for canapes and real ale. The rain finally abated after the hog roast, and we managed to cajole the guests outside for a group shot … can you spot everyone?

We had a few moments to get some shots of Kate and James before the light finally went …

We were just getting some final shots of Kate looking gorgeous, when her attention was a bit distracted …

Thanks again to Kate and James and all your friends and family for making me feel so incredibly welcome. I am sure that you all enjoyed your day and it truly was a wonderful celebration for a wonderful couple!

I recently photographed Amanda, who is due to have her baby in early June.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Amanda and can’t wait until the baby arrives in early June. I am quite sure that this baby will be cherished and adored and I am so looking forward to photographing her.

His mum asked me to take a photo of Baby {L}’s feet, as there is a member of the family who finds them just too cute!

I am so looking forward to the celebrations tomorrow and it was great to meet James’s best man, Ian, and Kate’s bridesmaids, Linda and Clare.

Let’s hope that the weather holds … but I am sure that it will be a beautiful and enjoyable day.

Poor Rosie got quite poorly sick after having an adventure in a pond which ended up in a very late night (or rather, early morning) visit to the emergency vet but hopefully she will be on the mend very soon. This is Rosie …

And this is Tara …

We went into Hythe and had a drink at the Salt Bar by the marina and then went into the town itself for a curry. All very nice indeed. Unfortunately John and Laura then had to take Rosie to the emergency vet in the early hours of Saturday morning.

However, we went with Tara for a long walk along the beach opposite the Isle of Wight. The weather was absolutely wonderful …

I do hope that Rosie is well on the road to recovery. Thank you again to Laura and John for making me feel so incredibly welcome and I hope to visit again soon.

Little Shaun supports Liverpool and enjoys playing football at school.

He has the most gorgeous coloured eyes and was so helpful with all of my photography stuff that I took with me. If only he was a few years older, he could be my assistant!

James’s family has connections with the house at Great Farthingloe and we thought that might be a good place to start. Both Kate and James are a little camera shy, but that really doesn’t show in any of the photographs that I took today. The sun shone, but unfortunately the wind blew too, which made it a bit chilly! Kate braved the cold and we got some wonderful shots …

Such a wonderful venue and a couple evidently so much in love … it’s a great combination!

Oh yes, I could just see the beautiful images that could be taken at this resort – no wonder it is so popular for destination weddings.

A colleague of mine from work is getting married in Kato Paphos at St Paul’s Pillar so we just had to go and visit.  A beautiful church, with hundred of years of history, beautiful mosaics and wonderful religious icons.

I am sure that Karen’s wedding will be absolutely beautiful, especially in such a wonderful settings. 

We would thoroughly recommend Cyprus as a winter sun destination, and the service and attention that we received at The Elysium was second to none.  We hope to be able to return soon.

I had the amazing opportunity to take part in a bridal shoot at Marianne Jessica Designer Bridal Wear, alongside make-up artist Melissa Norris, who will shortly be relocating to Australia and Dave Marsh of MBS Services.

Our brief was to capture images of the dresses and make-up. Our models were Michaela, Laura, Roxy, Katie, Faye and Dominique. And they are all beautiful …

Thanks to Dominique, who assisted beautifully and I am sure also took some wonderful photographs herself. And thanks to Dave for his patient help and guidance.

And of course, thank you to Michele from Marianne Jessica and to Melissa for organising everything. All best wishes for your new life in Australia!
