Yesterday, I was back home early because Hong Kong market was closed for the whole day due to typhoon. It was at signal 8, from the morning till evening. I’ll get you all updated about the typhoon later. Well, everyone was craze with the IPhone 3G frenzy. All of us want to get hold on it, I know you do because I do want one. The price was a little too expensive. It cost RM3k++ for a 8GB IPhone 3G so what are we going to do? Samsung has an answer for us. They introduced to us SGH-F480 previously, which it has the similiar functionality as an IPhone. This time Samsung introduce a brand new mobile phone to counter attack.. “Samsung SGH-i900″.

Samsung SGH-i900 just launched in Malaysia not long ago. This brand new mobile phone is not running on Symbian or Linux OS but is Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional a brand new update from Windows Mobile 6.0 . In this Samsung SGH-i900 they included the touchwiz from SGH-F480. With this new software we’re able to add widget into our screen. From what I know, that Samsung will add new more widgets for users to download into their mobile phone. Let’s get our fingers crossed. What is the most eyes catching is the 3.2′ WQVGA LCD screen. With that large screen is good video viewing and as you don’t know that Samsung produce good LCD screens and monitors. Samsung SGH-i900 comes with DivX and XviD codecs so we don’t need to convert our own videos to suits our mobile phone. Samsung also included a CMOS 5.0 Megapixels camera at the back of the mobile phone and it comes with latest features such as AutoFocus, Smile Detection and Auto Panoroma shots. At the front is just QCIF quality for video conferincing. It has 128 RAM and 256 ROM in the mobile phone.

Samsung SGH-i900 comes with 8GB or 16GB internal storage, they even included a memory card slot for extra storage. It support microSD and microSDHC up to 16GB. Good for them, and Thank you! SGH-i900 also comes with GPS where we can use it as navigation and geo tagging. The Samsung’s TouchWiz interface is simple to use from inputing texts or data. It has numbers of widgets to get our things done. The screen is sensitive wit tap, swap and other operations such as drag and drop even the on screen qwerty keyboard is easy to use. The size also very slim and chic, it only has 56.9×112x12.5mm, 112gram and it has a plantinum looks that fit snugly into our palm. Don’t worry about the battery life because Samsung promised that it will last longer and detachable compare to others Windows Mobile devices. Samsung SGH-i900 support Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS at 2100mHz and HSDPA up to 7.Mbps. It also comes with Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR including support for A2DP and with WiFi b/g standard.

It also included FM Radio with RDS support into it. The screen is automatically rotate to change to potrait or landscape. Thanks to the accelerometer. Samsung has recommended retail price of RM 2799 for 8GB version and RM 2999 for 16GB and now it is available at our local Malaysia’s Samsung store. The package comes with a battery, Samsung SGH-i900, charger, usb cable, stereo in-ear headset, 3.5mm adapter, PC’s Software and manual.

Samsung je objavio prve detalje vezane uz svoj novi “pametni” mobilni telefon pod oznakom SGH-i900. Samsung Omnia, kako se drugačije zove telefon, je uredjaj koji se nosi sa stilom, a svom će vlasniku na еlegantan način zadovoljiti želje za novim vidovima zabave, kvalitetom i funkcionalnošću.

Omnia je nešto manji telefon od iPhone-a. Sadrži 3,2-inčni ekran osetljiv na dodir, sa patentiranim TouchWiz korisničkim okruženjem koje omogućava prilagodjavanje home prozora sa jedinstvenim widget-ima. Rezolucija je nešto niža nego kod konkuretnog iPhone i iznosi 240 x 400 tačaka sa vibracijskim povratnim odzivom. Iako dolazi sa prednjom stranom telefona 100 posto osetljivom na dodir, Samsung je vlasnicima Omnie dodao mogućnost korišćenja optičkog miša – optički miš je slično senzoru koji ulazi u sastav laptop-a, a pomoću čega upravljate operacijama na laptopu.

Telefon radi na operativnom sistemu Windows Mobile 6.1, sa uključenim Word-om, Excel-om i Powerpoint-om. Tu je i podrška za mobilne mreže treće generacije, što omogućava internet konekciju do 7,2 megabita, te vizualnu i glasovnu elektronsku poštu.

Naravno, tu je još sijest dodatnih mogućnosti koje su na raspolaganju ponosnom vlasniku, a koje ovaj uredjaj stavljaju u top kategoriju mobilnih telefona. Pomenućemo CMOS kameru od 5 megapiksela sa auto-fokus (AF), Bluetooth, FM radio, GPS, Internet browser Opera 9.5, a tu su i napredne multimedijalne mogućnosti.

Početna veličina memorije zavisi od modela, a dolazi sa 8 ili 16GB. Memoriju je moguće proširiti, a već bez proširenja možete je iskoristi za video zapise ubacujući DivX, XviD, H.263, H.264, WMV i MP4 formate.

Samsung SGH-i900 je možda najbolji telefon ikada napravljen od strane Samsunga. Svakako, Omnia je mnogo bolje ime nego SGH-i900, a znači “sve” na latinskom i “želja” na arapskom.

Više detalja o novom Samsungovom pametnom telefonu trebalo bi da bude objavljeno prilikom službenog predstavljanja 17. juna na sajmu Communicasia, a na tržište bi trebalo da stigne u drugoj polovini ove godine.

A primera vista, el Samsung SGH-i900 me recuerda al iPhone: pantalla táctil de 3,5 pulgadas y una resolución (bastante baja) de 240 x 400 píxeles, carece de teclado físico y tiene un diseño con toques metálicos y brillantes.

El sistema operativo escogido para el Samsung SGH-i900 ha sido el reciente Windows Mobile Profesional 6.1, incluye receptor GPS, 256MB de memoria RAM, radio FM y salida de TV, todo ello en un tamaño de 112 x 56 x 13 mm .
