Hello again So I’m going to be honest: last week, I really wasn’t in the mood for writing. Which was

Hello again

So I’m going to be honest: last week, I really wasn’t in the mood for writing. Which was a strange feeling, since I’m nearly always in the mood for writing and I’d been looking forward to posting my first entry, but I guess the stress of planning to drop out of university – plus the fact that I’d had a pretty dull and uninspiring day – had made me feel sort of lethargic and unenthusiastic and pretty unlike myself. Today, it has to be said, probably hasn’t been any more exciting than last week, but I’m now feeling way more positive about the whole being-a-university-dropout thing (as soon as I’d signed the papers and given back my student card I felt this huge weight lifted off my shoulders) which means that I’ll probably ramble on a bit this evening. And every other Saturday evening. I hope you’re in the mood for reading.

I’m in the university computer cluster right now, using Christopher’s account whilst he does his homework on the desk next to me. Every so often, he leans over, grabs the keyboard, and types something mathematical and, to me, completely incomprehensible into Google. I have never been a maths person. Will, some day you should definitely teach me how to “abstract what they teach you in English class to mathematics and chemistry”… I actually suck at chemistry even more than I suck at maths. I got an E at A-level, and when my teacher heard that I wouldn’t be carrying the subject on to A2 she apparently said something along the lines of “Well, thank goodness.”

So yeah, I’m a dropout now. Which means that I’m currently both in the process of signing on to Jobseeker’s Allowance, and trying to find a job. I don’t know if this is the case everywhere, but the Jobcentre in my city is weird; like, when you go in you go to the Welcome Desk, who direct you to a security guard, who directs you to another security guard, who in turn directs you to another, and it goes on like this until you get to the place you’re meant to be: it sort of reminded me of a Pokémon gameboy game? Like, one of the bits where you’re in a Team Rocket hideout? I don’t know, maybe that’s just me.

I’m not even sure how the job hunting is going, since I’ve never done it before and don’t know what to expect. I handed out 16 CVs about four days ago, and so far I’ve had one call back from a fragrance shop for an interview on Monday. I am not someone who really knows anything about perfume – occasionally I wear some vanilla scent that I got from Boots because it’s Christopher’s favourite, but I know nothing about the main brands and stuff – so I’m not feeling particularly confident about this. In fact, I’m pretty nervous. We’ll see what happens.

So I got my tragus pierced on Thursday. It hurt more than my other piercings (mainly because my other piercings barely hurt at all), and I did wince a little, but it was a very tolerable sort of pain and I thankfully didn’t hear a crunch when it went in as some people on the Internet had reported (I pass out really easily over gross stuff like cartilage crunching: pain doesn’t bother me so much, but I can get pathetically squeamish >.< Like the time I did work experience at a vet’s because of some crazy childhood conviction that being a veterinary surgeon was my Ultimate Dream Job: I had to watch them remove an abscess from a cat’s throat, and I blacked out almost instantly. Apparently I was very graceful, though). I love how it looks The tragus piercing, I mean, in case the long-winded parenthesis confused you and you no longer have any idea what I’m going on about / thought I was talking about the abscess (which looked horrible, for the record). I also got my hair cut and dyed, and the lady was sehr nice and gave me the 45% student discount despite us having discussed at length how I’d dropped out last Monday, and my hair is now much nicer looking than it was before (which is not hard, admittedly, since for a long time I’d cut my own hair haphazardly with a pair of fabric scissors). Hooray!

I could type more, I really could, but I have a feeling that you’ll all start to hate me if I go on any more about the inane events of my week Looking forward to reading the next lot of entries, take care everyone,

Lucy

Oh yeah, one more thing. In the fiveawesomegirls vlog project (which I mentioned in my LJ post – it’s almost exactly like what we’re doing here, for anyone who doesn’t know, except it’s vlogging and there are only five people) in every video they say something that has been ‘awesome’ about their day. I’m not suggesting we do this, because that would be copying (and also it’s a bit lame?), but it’d be nice to have something similar that gave all our entries a bit more cohesion, I think. Anyone else agree/have any ideas?

Also – whoops, it’s five past midnight. This still counts as on time, right? D:

Edit: these stupid emoticon things are really annoying me. Would you guys mind if I turned them off?

Second Edit: I’m sorry, but they were annoying me way too much for me not to turn them off. I think I now know what it’s like to have OCD.

My typical Saturday morning ritual includes: Listening to Morning Edition, Car Talk and cleaning the bathroom. I did both of these things, as well as washed a metric fuck ton of laundry. I would have liked to have done more around the house–clean up the study, bake banana bread–but I’m stuck with having a sparkling bathroom, clean dishes and fresh laundry.

There is something about a day full of a chores that drains one of motivation.

This, however, seems to have boosted my motivation slightly:

The Ottawa Senators will have Erik Karlsson back in its lineup on Saturday night against the Boston

The Ottawa Senators will have Erik Karlsson back in its lineup on Saturday night against the Boston Bruins.

Karlsson, the club’s first-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, was sent down to AHL Binghamton in October after playing in nine games with the Senators. On Friday, head coach Cory Clouston confirmed that Karlsson will be in the lineup at Boston, saying that the young defenceman has improved his game down in the minors.

“He’s played well. He’s helped that team turn things around,” said Clouston. “One aspect that we wanted him to work on was his physical play. He’s really balanced his game out.”

To make room for Karlsson on the roster, the club has sent defenceman Brian Lee back down to Binghamton. In 13 games with the Senators this season, Lee had two goals, one assist and was a -1 rating.

“I think he’s lost his game a little. He looks a little indecisive – playing not to make a mistake,” Clouston said of Lee. “He’s got to go down there and find his game again and be a dominant defenceman.”

Karlsson will draw into the lineup because Anton Volchenkov does not appear ready to return after missing 13 games with a right elbow injury he suffered on October 28th. Despite participating in a full practice on Friday, Volchenkov told reporters he would “probably not” play against the Bruins and opt to return on Tuesday in San Jose.

Volchenkov has missed the past 13 games with a right elbow injury he suffered on October 28th at Florida. The Senators have posted a 7-5-1 record without him in the lineup.

NOTES:Mike Fisher did not skate with the team on Friday, but Clouston says there is progress with his undisclosed upper-body injury. Fisher skated on his own in a warmup suit on Friday after the team left the ice. The head coach did not rule him out of Saturday’s game just yet … F Jason Spezza did not practice with the team on Friday, but it was a regularly scheduled maintenance day for him before the club start’s a five-game road trip. Said Spezza of the upcoming trip, “This is a big part of our season. If we can come back over .500 we can set ourselves up pretty good.” … F Daniel Alfredsson and D Alexandre Picard also missed practice for what Clouston described as “maintenance”. Both are expected in the lineup.

November was the new September in Paris – scarf-free necks, a lot of sunshine and heaters bare

November was the new September in Paris – scarf-free necks, a lot of sunshine and heaters barely turned on. The Christmas decorations have been looking out of place. Today though winter began tapping at the door and I think she’s about to get settled in. Which means I need new shoes. So I headed out this afternoon to a shoe store near République and what did I find in the metro but this wonderful display!

I suppose someone dropped their glove and another clever fellow propped it on the back of the seat for artistic effect. Whomever you are clever fellow, I appreciate your efforts. It was my favorite thing that I saw all day.

When I came back home (new shoe-less), I headed up to a cafe/bar that I’m growing to love just up the street from my apartment. I had been sitting and reading for about 5 minutes when a woman announced that she was going to dance for us. She and another woman began dancing to North African music and she told us it was in the Tunisian style. It was lovely! I took a photo, but I apologize for the blur – they were moving too quickly.

I hope your Saturday has been a nice one. Could you send some friendly sales people this way when you get the chance? I think they’ve all gone on strike here.

the day before ross and i left for florida, we set up shop and got a bunch of stuff done around the house. with all the windshield breaking over with, we got down to the business of tree mulching, garlic planting, and leaf raking.

The garlic got in a month late, but still earlier than I planted it last year, so that’s a victory in my opinion. I’m growing a Chesnok Red and an Ichelium Red garlic this year and I’m hoping to have enough for green garlic in the spring, mature garlic in the summer, and enough left over to store for the winter and plant again next fall.

Later that morning, J.L. came over to help. While Ross got started on the leaves, he and I mulched our newly planted evergreens.

Finally, we joined forces on the leaves and it was mission accomplished. half the leaves were raked onto a tarp and dumped on our front yard by the street for trash pickup (how suburbanly convenient?)

The rest ross mowed and bagged and we dumped them in with our compost.

The dogs were no help whatsoever. But they looked adorable.

The final product. before:and after:

1. You And Your Kin

2. Kindred Spirits

3. King Pin

4. Next Of Kin

We were up early, again. Heading on out to the Big City to see Lazy Town Live. Son 1 aged 5y 2m was in charge of costumes, and trashed his room with his dressing up box, pulling it apart to find all the bits of Sportacus and Robbie Rotten. There was no question about who was going to be Sportacus. All very different from another trip to Lazy Town way back when I started writing this: lazytown live. In the kitchen, Son 1 danced to the tunes that blare out from the Sportacus music box in his costume; Son 2 aged 2y 2m, wearing a Robbie waistcoat, bounced around with him. They held hands, stomped their feet and laughed their heads off. The Man and I flew about like bats in a barrel. Dress the boys, feed the boys, washing on, teeth, clear up, food for the theatre, swimming kits, food for after swimming, load the car… The Big City is a two hour drive away. Son 2 sat pressing the buttons on the Sportacus music box again and again and again and again. “Wel-come to Lazy Town, the place where you wanna beee!” “You’re so strong!” “Someone’s in trouble!” The first time he dropped it, I gave it back to him. The second time, it stayed on the floor.

The Show was great. I loved the number of two-boy families with First as Sportacus, and toddler Second as Robbie. I loved the fact that we’ve escaped pink wigs. Son 1 – who refused to dress up, leaving his costume in a carrier bag - danced, shouted and yelled “Behind You!” Son 2, in his waistcoat and tricorn pirate hat, sat on my knee and never took his eyes off the stage. The Man stayed awake. Sportacus could do one handed cartwheels. Robbie Rotten stole it. Ours has been a Pirate House for nearly three years, so ”Yo Ho Fiddle De Dee, Being A Pirate Is All Right With Me” has been part of our world since before Son 2 was born. And boy, am I on Robbie’s side. What’s not to like about someone who’s exhausted, and only wants the children to give him peace and quiet so he can have a sit down in a comfy chair? Stephanie broke into “Bing Bang” and Son 1 said “Good, it’s the last one, let’s go.” “Go where?” I said, baffled. “Swimming,” he said.

We have been to the Big City Theatre twice, first to see the wiggles, and then to see scooby doo. Each time, Son 1 has pressed his little boy face against the viewing glass of a big Fun Pool, looking and longing. My pland was to watch Lazy Town, have lunch and then have a swim. Son 1 wanted to go Straight There. We went. There was a snake flume and fountains and a pirate ship and a baby pool with a slide and both boys walked in delight from jet to spray to gadget. I was with Son 2, and he played and played with the fountains and showers and bubbles and waves. He swam, he jumped, he slid, he smiled. He found if he stuck his fingers in the pipes he could spray Mummy. Fantastic. The Man chased Son 1; Son 1 chased The Man. ”I wan’ ge’ changed” Son 2 said. Son 1 wanted Mummy to stay. We played hide and seek, crocodiles, Son 1 went on the flume. Eventually I got him out . “We’re going to come back here every day.”

Then we went to Toys R Us and the boys agreed to share a toy sweet shop with real sweets. It was a beautiful piece of collaborative working. But they’re not allowed it till tomorrow. Everything else was Ideas For Santa. Lego for Son 1, and it has to be Scarey. Not interested in vehicles or traditional brick sets. Back in the car we drove in a rainstorm. It was 4pm and The Man and I had eaten nothing all day, so we stopped off at a Burger King. Son 1 slept. Son 2 was awake all the way home. I am now blogging on the sofa. The Man is watching The X Factor. I feel like I’ve staggered across the finishing line in a marathon, and I want someone to give me a medal and a goody bag, and wrap a big sheet of aluminium foil around me.

November is almost over! I”m happy because that means I’ll be done with NaNoWriMo. It has been fun, but it’s stressful too. Especially when I have to balance writing 1,667 words everyday with school. Especially when school has finals during NaNoWriMo. Especially when I change classes during NaNoWriMo. At present, I need 2,695 more words. I have a pretty good idea where my novel is going from there.

So, this week was Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving used to be my favourite holiday, but that changed this year. I realised how it’s kind of hypocritical. For the most part, we say, “Oh, I’m thankful for this and this and this and this.” Then, without another though, we just gorge ourselves on food. I think it would be a better idea to eat less on Thanksgiving so we realise how much we have all the other days of the year.

My Thanksgiving consisted of going to Illinois, where I sat in different rooms of my aunt’s house not saying much. It’s not that I don’t like talking. Well… OK, it’s not that I don’t like talking that much, I just never have anything to say. Besides, most of what they do is watch television or talk about travelling. I hate football (the usual showing on the television & besides, I haven’t watched television since 12 June), & I don’t know how to drive much less navigate streets and highways and whatnot. So there really isn’t much for me to comment about if I chose to talk at all.

I just ate food basically.

To-day, I’m doing my usual Saturday stuff as well as finishing NaNoWriMo. Hopefully finishing. I might go until Sunday still. I’m going to finish before Monday though. Monday’s the last possible day to finish. I have APE homework too, but I’m going to wait until Sunday to do that. It’s like dissecting speeches or something. It’s boring. I also get to read about grammar. Yay.

I might also mention that I disassociated my blog with Facebook. As well as removing links from my blog (on WordPress at least, it may vary depending on where you are reading this. In the sense of where on the internet, not where in your house. Though, it might vary there as well; I haven’t been to your house to know.). I figured that it’s better to have people search me out than have me say, “Hey! Look at me here too!”. It’s more of a fun scavenger hunt then. I don’t know, something like that.

So, album and film for this week. I’m presently listening to Disc 4 of Fats Domino’s Imperial Recordings. I don’t have Disc 1-3 though. We found disc 4 at a HPB (Half Price Books!). I get a lot of stuff at HPB. My film this week is The Phantom Menace. The first Star Wars episode. First in canon, not first chronologically. I know a lot of people don’t really like that one. I kind of feel indifferent about it. Like, yeah, it’s Star Wars, and it has some good points, but it never can be as good as the originals. (I feel old for saying that.) It has some merits though. I think it does at least.

I can talk about Black Friday, and then I’ll be done. Black Friday is absolutely stupid. This more than anything else provides for the hypocrasy of Thanksgiving. People say, “Oh I’m thankful for the stuff I have. Now, I have to go rush out in the middle of my sleep cycle to go get things for cheap.” It’s stupid. It how you use the things you get and what you do with them rather than how cheap you get them. I slept in on Friday. I didn’t want to go see stupid consumerism at work. I have too much stuff already that I don’t use. The CD I”m listening to now I got back over the summer, and I’m just now listening to it. I have books that I”ve had for years that I still haven’t read. I don’t need more things; I need time in which I can enjoy them. Where does that lead? Less homework. I want less homework for Christmas. Will I get that? No, probably not. So I just get more stuff over Christmas. More stuff that I will have even less time to enjoy.

Consumerism makes no sense to me.

I’m off to NaNoWriMo….

So….six episodes of Sex and the City…two stiff shots…and my favorite Prima noodles…..Im a happy girl I am glad I didnt decide to go out tonight, as right about now, I would have been getting to that almost high, should i drink more or should I try figuring out how Im going to get home point…instea of which I am comfortably settled in my room, contemplating the future in a more positive light than I have done before!

I wonder how mnay people decide to ’settle’ for something and how many of us actually decide to go the long haul and try to actually get what we want….Idealistically, the latter option sounds the most noble, but it is incredibly hard, so I guess its no wonder the proportion of ’settlers’ is much higher than the ‘reach for the stars’ lot…..

PLAN A: Ojos Rojos, Sidro Punks @ Soda Bar. Throw in some cool pedals, a few epic solos and just about any band can call themselves “psychedelic.” But Claremont, California’s Ojas Rojos have a refined take on the genre that can appeal to Explosions in the Sky and Black Angels fans alike (check out the video below). And will someone please hook up locals Sidro Punks with a good producer (seems they already have the good ’shrooms hook-up). If that happens, they’ll be opening for Earthless in Amsterdam in no time. (Interesting side note: Before going to press with the recent issue, I contacted Ojos Rojos via their gmail account for a picture of the band. On Tuesday night, hours after we’d already put the issue to bed, I received a rather troubling email from Ojos drummer/vocalist George Serrano wondering why I needed a picture of the band since they had no San Diego dates scheduled. After a heavy amount of self-chastising–not to mention some from CityBeat Editor David Rolland–I was all set to run a correction on this blog when I received another email frim Serrano explaining that the band were, indeed, playing at the Soda Bar. Apparently there was some confusion amongst the band members and what’s more, Serrano went on to say that if I hadn’t emailed them they would have forgotten to drive down. So, if you go to this show and enjoy yourself, then buy a brother a beer. The band already owes me one). PLAN B: NROTB, Deth Hertz, Mr. White @ Voyeur. Electro from French Canada? The thought would usually make me cringe, but NROTB bring it. BACKUP PLAN: The Transit War, Spell Toronto, The Strangers Six @ The Casbah. After The Casbah hosted all those epic reunion shows last January, this one might be a little anticlimactic. I wasn’t really a fan of any of these bands in their so-called heyday (which was, like, what, two years ago?), but if you like pop rock with a bit of edge, this is your show. Check out Sammi Skolmoski’s interview with Transit War drummer, Brad Bohensky, to find out what the boys have been up to. (This show is sold-out so you might want to hit up Craigslist)

Other cool stuff:

Weapons of Mass Production @ Thumbprint Gallery. You often see it illegally pasted on building walls, but you don’t often catch stencil art displayed in galleries. However, North Park’s Thumbprint Gallery (2637 University Ave.) looks to change this withWeapons of Mass Production. From 6 to 10 p.m., some of San Diego’s best street artists will display intricately designed works using multiple mediums like spray paint and pencil. Artists include Jason Gould and Brent Takayama, but most use aliases like Grandlarsen and Apax lest the po-po find out who they really are.

Out.skirts feat. DJs Shine, Bassmechanic, Matsu, Ubuvwill @ Mainline Building. Approximately 42 percent trade show, 58 percent rave: that’s how curator Alana Sills and graphic designer Chris Elliman (aka Sanctuary & Xompany) are filling the 7,000-foot venue space at the Mainline Building (1676 Main St., Barrio Logan) on Saturday, Nov. 28. If all goes according to plan, five hours of independent art and fashion marketplace (5 to 10 p.m.) will be followed by seven hours of progressive house with and a “massive” light show (10 p.m. to 5 a.m.).CityBeat’s 2009 Best Neighbor, Jocelyn Duke, will showcase some of her character art (be sure to ask her about “winkies”). Tickets are $5 before 10 p.m., $10 after that.

DJ Rap @ On Broadway. She was all the rage back in the late ’90s when even your mama knew what drum-n-bass was. Then Rap started singing Big Sonic Chill-suited trip-hop, and we all sighed. But, judging by her new material, she’s found a make-out worthy middle ground between hard breakbeats and sexy ambiance.

Danger in Wonderland @ Kava Lounge. Considering it’s in its second season, I guess I’m not the only one who watched For the Love of Ray J. Yeah, I admit it. VH1 reality/dating shows are a bit of guilty pleasure. And if there’s one girl that stood out on the first season it was almost certainly “Danger,” who lived up to her name by pretty much going off her meds as soon as cameras started rolling. She threatened to kill other girls while on the show, has a tiger tattooed on her face (think Mike Tyson) and recently revealed (wait for it) that she was a prostitute in a past life. And I have a big crush on her. Fuck it. Don’t judge me. I would totally go on her upcoming spinoff show and try and win her crazy-ass. Anyway, she’s displaying some of her art tonight around 6 p.m. It includes canvas paintings, wood paintings, custom sneakers, glass pieces and body art. Call to RSVP: 619-320-8483. Oh, and by the way, I still have no idea who the fuck Ray J is or why girls want to love his midgety ass.

Apes of Wrath, Shark Attack (live band), DJs Bob Dazzla, Jan & Cory @ Beauty Bar.

DJ Claire @ Whistle Stop. (5 to 8 p.m.)

Gilbert Castellanos & Graham Dechter @ Dizzy’s@San Diego Wine & Culinary Center.

Cash’d Out @ Winston’s.

David Gray, Tyrone Wells, A Fine Frenzy @ The Abbey.

Genius of Soul, J-Natural @ The Office.

Tiltwheel, Sunnyside, Breaker Breaker One Niner, Turkish Techno @ Tin Can Ale House.

“Red, Hot & Cool” feat. DJs Trevor Young, Charlie Rock @ Bar Pink.

The Cured, Rio, Long Duk Dong @ Belly Up.

8th Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon Anniversary Special Race Entry Pack Collection

And so I was one of the lucky souls to be selected for this special race entry pack collection. All I did was to take part in their ballotting and 8000 SCSM participants will be randomly from the received ballots.

This special race entry pack collection is held today and tomorrow at the Marina Bay Floating Platform. There was practically no queue when I went there with my friend this afternoon. We breezed through the yellow maze that had been set up.

Then all that we needed to do was to hand in our NRIC and after scanning it, we were given our race pack containing the race bib, a Run Inspiration bib, a ChampionChip timing device, an SCSM New Balance running singlet, the race day handbook plus the standard paraphernalia. Everything was over in less than 5 minutes.

Other than that, there was a single booth selling the bus tickets that will ferry the runners from the various stadiums around the island. It costs only $5 and the buses will stop near the baggage deposit area on race day.

Finally, for those collecting their race entry packs next week, I hope you will have minimal inconvenience on the day. Most like I’ll come down to the Singapore Expo to have a look and see if there are any booths selling discounted running items. So if you see me please say hi aight.

Went for my last long run before my SCSM 10km run next Sunday. Alhamdulillah since I started slow during the first phase of the run, I did not suffer any cramps and could finish the second phase strongly.

This will be a short post. It’s Saturday, I’m going to a gig later (there may be more on that at a later date) and I don’t really feel like spending too much time with the computer today. There is one observation, possibly accompanied by a bit of speculation, that I’d like to offer.

I’m always interested to see which search terms have resulted in visitors being referred to my blog after using a search engine. One of the most frequent that pops up is the phrase ’steak meat.’ Somehow I doubt that the folks performing that search are looking for my ruminations (do you see what I’ve done there?) on the environmental impact of the meat industry and my reasons for severely restricting my meat consumption. Maybe a few of them can makes sense of my ingredients list for steak au poivre.

Far and away the most frequently searched for terms that lands people at the Omphaloskeptic’s door is ‘Sisyphus.’ I can pretty much guarantee that the people who perform that search aren’t looking for my complaint about laundry and I really hope that they manage to get a better idea of the figure and myth than my posting offers. I have images of school kids who’ve left a short essay assignment to the last moment and are desperately trying to figure out who this Sisyphus guy is and, having neglected their reading, leave this blog with some garbled impression that he’s the god of rocks and laundry. I know that probably seems far fetched but that kind of process would explain some of the more bizarre assertions I’ve come across in students essays in the past which claim to be supported by some spurious web page somewhere.

So what have I achieved with that particular posting? Well, it’s possible that I’m contributing to the general store of ignorance and confusion in the world. Given that today’s Saturday, I think I can live with that. . .

Todays Saturday but for a student with an exam coming up, Saturday is just another name for the same

Todays Saturday but for a student with an exam coming up, Saturday is just another name for the same day, study day. Also, if you did not get that, I am such a student.

I think the high-pitch noise in my ear is a little less loud today. Let’s hope it keeps on diminishing; decaying until I finally only have my usual level of high-pitch noise in my ear (sustained while 15 years old, playing drums with a grunge band, with the amps on 11, no ear plugs and in a non-dampened 12 sq./m room).

Now I am going to focus on G.E. Moore and his defence of Common-Sense (which to me does not seem like any defence at all, just a statement, or a stating of opinion, loosely founded on language and not at all acknowledging experience which he still counts as a factor).

Day 4…already? Well it is Saturday morning and I am, for some reason, feeling a little bit low

Day 4…already?

Well it is Saturday morning and I am, for some reason, feeling a little bit low today. Not totally sure why, but no doubt I will pull myself together. We have Thanksgiving Dinner today with Chris and Sheri. Part of it might be that yesterday was Black Friday and for some reason it bought back memories of being in the US before Christmas and running around completing Christmas shopping. Part of it was going out to lunch and looking around at the other couples in the pub.

Not that I should complain. I love my life, love what is in it and love where I am going with it. But sometimes it just hits me, you know?

So now I am going to head out, get some breakfast, come back, pack up my laptop and head over to Chris & Sheris. Tomorrow my plan is to clean up my bedroom, find my MP3 player. The reason? Well, next Tuesday, the training starts for the Yately 10k. Added driving force for that, people at work on Thursday taking the piss out of the fact that I am running it “you’re not exactly athletic”. Well we shall see.

But for now, off to the bakers to get some bacon rolls and a drink.

Laterz
