Verheerende Entweichungen: Ein Schwein mit Darmproblemen hat in Australien 15 Feuerwehrleute auf den Plan gerufen. Ein Bauer hatte sie alarmiert – weil er wegen des Gestanks eine undichte Gasleitung fürchtete.

Sydney – Am Ende waren es die unzweideutigen Geräusche, die den Übeltäter identifizierten: “Es war ziemlich eindeutig, was los war”, sagte Feuerwehrmann Peter Harkins am Donnerstag in einem Radiointerview.

Die Familie aus Axedale habe eine 120 Kilo-Sau nur 20 Meter vom Haus entfernt gehalten. “Ich habe keine Ahnung, was sie der Sau zum Fressen gegeben hatten, aber wir haben sie deutlich gehört”, sagte er.

Dem Bauer sei die Angelegenheit höchst peinlich gewesen. Er habe sich mehrfach entschuldigt. “Wir brauchten eine Weile, bis wir uns wieder eingekriegt haben, ehe wir mit ihm reden konnten” sagte Harkins. “Aber wir haben das sehr professionell gemacht. Wir haben ziemlich gekichert, als wir später wieder in der Feuerwehrwache waren.”

George ble ferdig i god tid før han skulle være med i bagasjen til Edinburgh for å gis vekk til sin nye eier. I god tid vil si at de siste stingene på nesen ble festet ved midnattstider og at Georges kropp fikk seg en spabehandling med håndkle og strykejern sånn ca klokken halv ett om natten. Ja. Flyet mitt gikk påfølgende morgen.

Men det gikk bra. George ble pen og glatt og rynkefri etter litt damping og humøret hans var det ingenting å utsette på. Alt i alt var det ganske kjekt å strikke på denne lille sauen, men dersom han ikke hadde vært påtenkt som gave, så tror jeg han ville blitt lagt vekk for godt et par ganger underveis. Oppskriften var ikke akkurat krystallklar (på flere måter, for de som har sett min utgave av oppskriften…), spesielt var det en utfordring å finne ut hvor ørene burde festes for å unngå en sau med svineuttrykk. Men jeg tror det gikk bra, sånn alt i alt.

Georges nye eier har trykket ham til sitt bryst og er strålende fornøyd med ham…. og mer enn det kan vel ikke en liten mønsterstrikket sau håpe på?

L’Esquirol, o Santa Maria del Corcó, és una vila molt bonica, en un lloc molt bonic, a dues passes d’indrets maravellosos, fantàstics i insospitats. Es troba a uns 80 kms. de Barcelona per l’autovia que porta a Vic. Superada aquesta població, ja camí de Ripoll, cal prendre l’eix transversal C-25 en direcció a Girona. Entrareu en la comarca màgica del Collsacabra, de la que Santa Maria del Corcó n’és la porta natural. Des de l’Esquirol es pot arribar molt fàcilment a paratges que us corprendran. Com ara la riera de les Gorgues, que travessa tot el terme. En certs llocs forma gorges espectaculars amb salts d’aigua i molins. Ens agrada per la facilitat en arribar-hi caminant des del poblet de Cantonigròs, a uns 6 kms. de l’Esquirol, l’indret anomenat la Foradada. També és molt bonic el lloc dit la Barra de Ferro a l’Esquirol mateix. El dia del Mercat de la Terra hi haurà una ruta guiada per aquest rierol tan sorprenent. Un xic més endavant, però abans d’arribar a Rupit, trobareu la serra de Cabrera, amb la seva especial formació geològica de turons i plans enlairats. Una pista en bon estat, ben senyalitzada, us portarà al peu de l’ermita de Santa Maria de Cabrera, travessant una fageda de conte de fades. També són notables l’església romànica de Sant Martí Sescorts, del segle XI o la de Sant Julià de Cabrera. Teniu un dolmen, anomenat de Puig-sespedres, força gran per la mitjana del nostre país, de molt fàcil accés a la sortida de l’Esquirol pel camí ral. No deixeu de visitar, si el temps us ho permet, els pobles de Tavertet, 12 kms. al sur, enlairat a abocat al precipici més violent de Catalunya, damunt el pantà de Sau. No apte per cardíacs. També us recomanem molt vivament fer una volta pel poblet medieval de Rupit, a uns 15 kms. en direcció Olot. Un poblet de pessebre, unigualable, amb el seu pont, la riera, el salt de Sallent… no tenim paraules!. Si decidiu pujar-hi per la segona quinzena de novembre ho podeu fer coincidir amb el Mercat de la Terra. Durant tot el diumenge hi ha un mercat de productes naturals. Embotits, formatges, mel, vins, verdures, xocolates, cervessa… tot el que aquesta comarca excepcional pot oferir. Paral·lelament tindran lloc una sèrie d’activitats molt interessants, com ara la mencionada visita guiada a la riera de les Gorgues. Els més petits podran escoltar contes, gaudir dels inflables, veure una actuació castellera i jugar a molts jocs. Pugeu a l’Esquirol i els pobles i viles que l’acompanyen, allà al Collsacabra. Visiteu i gaudiu del Mercat de la Terra. Per dinar us recomanem, en plan menú i preu ajustat Cal Carreter, especialitat en carns a la brasa. Està a cantonigròs, a peu de carretera. Tel. 938525003. Si podeu pagar un restaurant de campanetes, amb cuina molt més sofisticada, llavors el vostre lloc és Ca l’Ignasi, on fan uns plats cuidats que segueixen la temporada i els seus productes. Està també a Cantonigròs, al carrer Major, 4. Tel. 938525124. Si heu arribat fins Rupit, nosaltres hem dinat, i dormit, a l’hostal l’Estrella. Molt cassolà i agradable. També està molt i molt bé, per dormir i per menjar, el novíssim hostal de muntanya Cabrerès, al carrer Major de Cantonigròs, un xic més avall de Ca l’Ignasi. Habitacions senzilles i cuques, i apartaments. A Rupit hi ha un càmping, i en tota la zona moltes, moltíssimes cases rurals. Teniu un alberg de colònies a Cantonigròs: Santa Maria del Roure, i un allotjament de muntanya al Santuari de Collsacabra, molt rural, això si!.

L’Esquirol, o Santa Maria del Corcó, es una villa muy bonita, en un lugar muy bonito, a dos pasos de lugares maravillosos, fantásticos e insospechados. Un poco más adelante, pero antes de llegar a Rupit, encontrareis la sierra de Cabrera, con su especial formación geológica de colinas y planos elevados. Una pista en buen estado, bien señalizada, os llevará al pie de la ermita de Santa María de Cabrera, atravesando un hayedo de cuento de hadas. También son notables la iglesia románica de Sant Martí Sescorts, del siglo XI o la de Sant Julià de Cabrera. Tienen también un dolmen, llamado de Puig-sespedres, bastante grande para la media de nuestro país, de muy fácil acceso a la salida de l’Esquirol por el camino real. No dejéis de visitar, si el tiempo os lo permite, los pueblos de Tavertet, 12 kms. al sur, colgado sobre el precipicio más violento de Cataluña, literalmente volando sobre el pantano de Sau. No apto para cardíacos. También le recomendamos muy vivamente dar una vuelta por el pueblo medieval de Rupit, a unos 15 kms. en dirección Olot. Un pueblecito de pesebre, unigualable, con su puente, el arroyo, el salto de Sallent … ¡no tenemos palabras!. Habitaciones sencillas y cucas, y apartamentos. En Rupit hay un camping, y en toda la zona muchas, muchísimas casas rurales. Tienen un albergue de colonias en Cantonigròs: Santa Maria del Roure, y un alojamiento de montaña en el Santuario de Collsacabra, muy rural, ¡eso sí!.

We had a good morning at the homless shelter today. We showed up, had worship, heard a message from my buddy Jason, and then prayed over people.

I met a woman who needed prayer over quite a few things:

Legs
Diabetes (High blood pressure)
Blindness/dullness in right eye

Now it appeared that Dr. Brewer had gotten some kind of word of knowledge about someone having heart problems or blood pressure problems so I invited him over to pray for this lady. He annointed her with oil and then prayed over her diabetes. I then prayed for her eye and legs, as did Brewer.

While he was praying, it popped into my head that her eyes would be healed so well that she wouldn’t even have to wear the glasses that she had on and only seconds after having this thought Brewer started praying for that exact thing.

She took her glassess off and said that she felt her eyes had cleared up a little bit but that they weren’t fully there. We continued praying for them and while they didn’t seem to get too much clearer, we will wait and see what God does over time.

I mention this “over time” idea because we prayed for a blind lady last week.

Nothing happened.

But a woman came in today who had her foot healed at the last service and she said that the blind lady could see now.

Also, a lady gave her life to Jesus today and I guess last time after we left, people we’re talking quite a bit about us and how they had seen healing and all this stuff.

God is making Himself real

Still stoked from all the miracles God did last night. We were at chapel band practice this morning when my buddy Rico says, “man my feet have been hurting forever now.” I turned, touched his foot and in about three seconds said something like, “God I pray you’d heal these feet right now,” and then turned back to my piano.

Rico chuckled and I pretty much did too. Then I started thinking about what just happened when all of the sudden I heard:

“Dude… They don’t hurt anymore…”

“Yeah, I know.”

It was awesome! God doesn’t always need a long prayer to heal something. Granted we had to pray about 7 times last night for someone before he was really feeling good, but this guy’s foot was healed in 3 seconds! It’s Biblical too! After all, Jesus did raise the dead with two words.

“Come forth.”

If that ain’t a quick prayer, I don’t know what is.

God is totally about to unleash on this campus and I am stoked! You see, He has put on my heart to show “The Finger of God,” which I must have mentioned on this blog 100 times. I do so because it’s important and you should see it.

So go see it.

This movie has tons of healings in it and because of it, I have had the best night ever after seeing 3 (possibly 4!) healings. And that’s just tonight! That’s more than ever in my life!

So get this: the first healing tonight was at the end of the movie. Sid Roth comes on the screen during the credits to pray for healing. Now I had just heard in an interview with Darren Wilson that people had actually been healed during this portion of the movie, but have had yet to see it myself. I turned the movie off after this prayer, prayed for everyone who came, told them about an event with Mahesh Chavda that we are having November 18th, and also invited them to come to a group on Thursday nights where we learn these charismatic type things.

Then one girl came up to me after saying that she wanted to come to this group so that she could teach her youth group AND that she had been healed of a headache when Sid Roth commanded it to go away! I was completely stunned! I had been in a room where it had happened and could now share this story every time I showed it elsewhere!

Then, everyone who had made it to the ending at midnight on this fine Tuesday night, headed back to their dorms as I did also. I ran into the spiritual life advisor on my floor who asked if I wanted to pray for healing for another on my floor. I was totally up for it and we did! He had a fairly big pain in his ankle/calf and we prayed for it and it didn’t really seem like there was an progress.

So we stayed valiant and prayed again. Still not a whole lot but maybe a slight difference.

Again. A little more.

Again. A little more.

After about six times or so the pain was really starting to dissipate. We continued praying for 100% health and at this moment, he feels much much better. The pain is quite minimal and he could move it more and more after every prayer. Now things like standing on his toes might cause it pain, but that’s a huge difference compared to earlier.

Next we prayed for diabetes. We realized this would be harder to test, but we prayed regardless. I had mentioned something to the guys about listening for a word from God to pray about and one of the guys got one. I had forgotten to mention that God sometimes points out what to pray for by illuminating parts of our own bodies, but he caught on! There was a blood vessel in his head was pounding and so he began to pray for brain troubles that might have caused it just to find out that that was a big part of it. While we can’t firmly know if he has really been healed quite this early in this specific situation, we do know that he felt quite blessed—especially from this specific prayer.

Next we prayed for our spiritual life advisor’s hip. He was having a pain from his hip down to the bottom of his leg. It would pop out of place quite a bit and caused him enough pain to ask for prayer. And so we did. We kept it minimal at first. Two people prayed and that was it. We asked him to check it out. He felt great! In order to make it hurt at all he had to stretch it around quite a bit! We all prayed aloud together after this for 100% and after that he felt no pain.

Seriously, this campus is ready to unleash. This is what we’ve been missing and this is what is starting to happen. Soon we’ll be praying for random people on campus wandering around with crutches (which there are quite a few of lately)!

I actually prayed for a girl I don’t know too well in my psych class the other day. She was on her way out the door in the middle of class to go to the hospital to have her leg looked at. I followed her, prayed for in the hall, and I suppose I’ll know tomorrow how she was feeling after this prayer.

But you know what? Even if she wasn’t healed, I imagine she still felt loved. We have to get over ourselves and just allow God to love through us.

I know satan is ticked right now. I’m not entirely sure, but I felt like I was possibly snapped at by a demon today. There was a rather irrational moment in the day where some hurtful things were said and I felt as though there was more to this situation. Possibly a demon realizing that things were going well for me today and I was psyched to show this movie tonight.

And so I told the people at the movie that satan was ticked that I was showing it and that he was ticked that they were there.

Good news folks.

He’s about to get a whole more ticked.
Because the kingdom of God is about to be unleashed.

Sie die feinen Damen  steigen aus ihren Autos und wollen Fotos von den Sauen knipsen, was die Damen aber nicht erwartet haben, ist die unheimliche Anhänglichkeit der wilden Hausschweine. Dann geht sie los die Jagd, die Jagd ums werte Auto herum. Die Damen rennen los, immer im Kreis und die Schweinle als hinterher. Ja – richtig gelesen, die Scheine jagen die feinen Damen. Sieht wirklich saumäßig komisch aus! Durfte ich, diesen Sommer auf Korsika wiederholte male sehen, dies Schauspiel live und in Farbe. Es ist wirklich schwierig gescheite Fotos zu schießen, die Sauen sind schnell und verfolgen jeglichen Geruch nach Nahrung.  Ich wollte mal gerne wissen, wie die Tierchen durch den Winter kommen? Schließlich fahren auch die Einheimischen Ski in den Bergen Korsikas.  Die Hänge sind nicht länger als die Hänge hier im Schwarzwald an denen ich in den Wintermonaten unter Flutlicht Snowboard fahre. Wo stecken da die Tiere ??? Die Tiere mit der süßen Schnuffelnase …

Sauene
Sauene er akkurat nå delt i tre flokker som går sammen med hver sin vær, men litt uti desember blir de en stor flokk igjen. Da bor de på låven, og kan gå ut og inn som de vil. På låven er det lunt og godt, og vi fyller jevnlig på med frisk halm. De har fri tilgang på grovfor, og vi har en frostsikker vanningsløsning som de skal dele med kuene. Når lammingstiden kommer setter vi opp lammingsbokser med lettgrinder, og alle damene lammer inne på låven.

Værene skal bo på det lille jordet oppe ved alléen i hele vinter. De har helårsull, og i tillegg har vi satt opp et halmhus de kan søke ly i, bare vi får på et tak. De er også veldig glade i å ligge innunder granhekken, hvor det er bart og tørt hele året. det eneste de nok kommer til å savne er damene sine!

Well it’s been a little while since my last update so I thought I’d better get on here and write something new!  It’s been a pretty crazy couple of weeks with work, personal life and of course the car.

WORK:
The latest round of developments at Russell Investments has made me a little unsettled and as a result, made me turn once again to the open market to see what’s available and how much I’m currently worth.

Be it luck, skill or ‘right place, right time’ – fortune smiles and within a couple of days I had 3 offers on the table.  This was shocking to say the least but it was also very comforting to know I was of high-value on the open market.  Haven’t decided yet, but it’s looking like a move is going to happen soon.

Had to sit one of those psych-tests for one of the above roles – been there done that so took a pretty lax approach to it.  Supposed to take 2.5 hours but walked out in 1.5 – I thought I was doing something wrong, but oh well – I tried.  Got a call the next morning saying I scored in their top 1%… hmmm~

PERSONAL:
You know, I think it’s the stress of everything going on around me that’s really taking its toll on my mind.  Summing it all up, I think I’m going nuts!  Too much work, too little time, not enough hands~  Why can’t they just say OK to the human cloning programs, I’ll sign up!!!

A big thank you to Roxy for putting up with my crazy ramblings and random outburts of crazy at home – for such a s-mall mall girl, she has a really big & generous heart!  Could never ask for more

Off to Japan (Tokyo) for some work in a week, going to bring Roxy along and turn it into a little getaway as we’ll have 4 days to ourselves.  This should bring back some sanity – stay tuned for photos/stories.

Couldn’t be happier actually…  (113) featured the R34 10th Anniversary Cruise put on by SAU.  My car & name was mentioned for claiming the “Best R34 – non GTR” award.  I was also very pleased with the fact that Project R34 – SATANIC graced the title image of the article

(114) was what we’ve all been waiting for… 11 months now actually since discussions first started with the editor/photographer.  But we’re there and it’s on the shelves at all good newsagencies.  My thanks goes to all involved but in particular Mitch Smith (grease-monkey), Chris Brasher (shutter-bug), and Jason Round (mag-guy).

No paralaré de sexe… de moment. Només vull queixar-me, queixar-me d’una cosa que he hagut de fer aquesta setmana, que m’ha trencat la rutina, la gana, la son, el poder veure-la… i es que no m’agrada treballar de nits!

T’he trobat a faltar, molt, poc, regular… he tingut per escollir. De vegades em posava aquesta cançó, només pels moments més baixos. Segur que la coneixes.

Nit sense poguer veure la lluna, nits que no eren d’estiu, nits en que no et tenia a menys d’un metre. Però tot canviarà, ja saps que si, ja saps que molt aviat.

So I have a video I made that I’d like to show you, but I’d like to preface it first. I had a thought at a communion service probably about 2 weeks ago that I wanted to make a video with a communion service in it. Then I started having communion more than usual and decided to focus the whole video on communion. One of my teachers whom we students call Dr. Mojo, had an optional communion service after class every Monday night. I ended up going to a couple and the other day we had the service at the end of class after watching a movie on the life of Henri Nouwen. Man that guy did a lot for God in his lifetime.

But some strange feeling swept over me during Communion. Something I had never felt before. It made me feel… weightless. I understood it to be the Holy Spirit working in me in a physical way I haven’t felt before. And then today, I was reading The Happy Intercessor by Beni Johnson. When I put the book down I had a feeling sweep over me again, which just occurred to me that it was really quite the same feeling. And then I passed out for about half an hour.

So now I present to you:
a communion video.

Sagt der eine: “Mensch, ich müßte ja noch unbedingt meine Sauen decken lassen, aber die finanzielle Lage läßt das im Moment einfach nicht zu!”
Darauf der andere:” Das war bei mir auch so, und deshalb habe ich das selbstgemacht!”
“Und das hat funktioniert?”
“Na klar! Du packst deine Schweine in Deinen VW-Bus, fährst mit denen in den Wald, erledigst die Sache, und wenn Du am andren Morgen die Schweine wollüstig auf dem Rücken liegen anstatt zu fressen, dann hat es geklappt!”
“Na denn” denkt sich der andere “Schaumer mer mal!”, packt sich die Schweine in den VW-Bus, fährt in den Wald, erledigt die Angelegenheit und bringt die Viecher wieder zurück. Doch als er am anderen Morgen in den Stall guckt, bietet sich das normale Bild, die Schweine grunzen vor sich hin und warten auf das Futter. Er berichtet seinem Freund die Situation, und der schickt ihn nochmals los, da es ja offensichtlich nicht geklappt hat. Also packt der Züchter nochmals die Schweine in den VW-Bus und fährt in den Wald …Als er am nächsten Tag sich von seinem Erfolg überzeugen will, ist es wieder nichts.
Da sagt sich der Züchter:” Einmal probier ich es noch und wenn es dann nicht klappt geb ich es auf!”
Also packt er die Schweine noch mal in seinen VW-Bus, fährt in den Wald… Am anderen Morgen schickt er seine Frau in den Stall, damit diese nach den Schweinen sieht. Die Frau geht los und als sie zurückkommt sagt sie: “Du, Karl, die Schweine…”
“Ja was ist mit den Schweinen? Liegen sie auf dem Rücken?”
“Nee, viel schlimmer, die sitzen alle im VW-Bus und hupen!”

Gestern, recht spät:

• "Jetzt lass mal die Katze im Sack!"
• "War das nicht die Kirche?"
• "Nein, die muss man durch’s Dorf treiben."
• "Sau!"

Degut a l’ èxit que va resultar del Tribut a Sau, realitzat el passat 29 d’ agost, com a producció pròpia del Festival Acúsitca -09 de Figueres. Empordà Músic ha recopilat unes imatges i entrevistes del mateix concert per tal que el reviviu un cop més. Fóu l’ event que més públic va tenir del mateix festival.

Molts sous els que heu demanat que les publiquesim i aquí us les fem arribar.

Com ja sabeu, el motiu del Tribut a Sau fou per ser l’ any del desè aniversari de la mort del carismàtic líder -cantant de la Banda Sau: Carles Sabater, que va conduïr al final de la mateixa.

Artistes que hi van participar:

Joan Tena, Miquel Abras, Berta, Virgínia (La porta dels somnis), Joan Masdeu (Wiskyn’s) , Jofre Bardagí, Jordi Rubau, Pere Espinosa i Papa Juls (Sangtraït)

A la banda hi havia Àngel Abat-bateria, Aleix Pujol-Guitarra, Ricard Vives-Baix i Jordi Rubau-piano.

Tots ells van demostrar molta entrega i consideració pel concert davant d’ un públic entregat i incondicional que van corejar les cançons fent el plè a la Plaça de l’ Ajuntament de Figueres, entre ells la família del mateix Carles Sabater: Sra. Pepita , mare, i Josep …el germà i autor de la lletra de la cançó en memòria seva: El Tren de Matinada, que també es va interpretar en el concert.

Sau 3 lần rửa, rau sống vẫn “nguyên” ký sinh trùng

Kết quả xét nghiệm 8 mẫu rau sống thường dùng cho thấy, tỷ lệ nhiễm ký sinh trùng trên rau là 92,3-100%. Kể cả sau 3 lần rửa sạch và rửa bằng nước rửa chuyên dụng, tỷ lệ nhiễm ký sinh trùng vẫn còn ở mức 51,9-82,6%.

Các chuyên gia trường ĐH Y khoa Phạm Ngọc Thạch (TPHCM) đã lấy ngẫu nhiên 104 mẫu rau thuộc 8 loại rau thường được dùng ăn sống nhiều nhất như xà lách, xà lách xoong, rau muống, cải bẹ xanh, rau đắng, rau tần ô (cải cúc), rau má, rau thơm gia vị (húng, tía tô, húng quế…) từ một số chợ để nghiên cứu, làm xét nghiệm.

Kết quả, có những loại rau bị nhiễm ký sinh trùng 100% như rau xà lách xoong, cải bẹ xanh, rau đắng, rau tần ô, rau má. Số còn lại như xà lách, rau muống, rau gia vị cũng bị nhiễm ký sinh trùng 92,3%.

Sau đó các rau trên được rửa 3 lần bằng nước sạch theo cách rửa thông thường rồi được làm xét nghiệm lại. Kết quả cho thấy, mức độ nhiễm ký sinh trùng nói chung vẫn còn cao, không giảm được bao nhiêu.

Sau lần rửa thứ nhất, tỷ lệ nhiễm ký sinh trùng vẫn còn tới 97%, sau lần rửa thứ hai còn 77,9% và sau lần rửa thứ ba còn 51,9%.

Ngoài cách rửa rau bằng nước sạch 3 lần nói trên, các tác giả cũng đã sử dụng một loại nước rửa rau hiện vẫn được quảng cáo là làm sạch vi khuẩn, ký sinh trùng và hoá chất trên rau xanh.

Kết quả, cả 8 loại rau xanh sau khi được rửa kỹ bằng loại nước rửa này, làm xét nghiệm lại vẫn thấy còn bị nhiễm ký sinh trùng với tỷ lệ 82,6%, nghĩa là chỉ tương đương với rau được rửa bằng nước sạch thông thường lần thứ hai.

Các loại giun như giun đũa, giun kim, giun tóc, giun móc có trên tất cả các loại rau với tỷ lệ rất cao, nhiều nhất là trên xà lách xoong (100%), thấp nhất trên rau muống (46,1%).

Ký sinh trùng amip, dạng bào nang, có trong hầu hết các loại rau, nhiều nhất là trên xà lách xoong và rau má với tỷ  lệ 76,5%.

Đáng ngại hơn nữa là qua xét nghiệm người ta đã tìm thấy trứng giun đũa chó trên 7 loại rau (chỉ trừ rau muống) với tỷ lệ trung bình 11,5%.

I rolled out of bed around 8:23ish and then headed to the good ol’ dorm showers. I then proceeded to stand in the hot shower water for about 8 minutes before finally grabbing the soap. I then went outside to my newly frosted car, quickly remembering that I broke the heat recently which meant that I would of course have to scratch the frost off. Perhaps one of the most painful of jobs to do in life.

I pulled up to my dorm, chucked my keyboard and accessories into the car and headed over to Spring Arbor’s (half) circle drive to meet up with a group of other charismatic weirdos who were headed over to the homeless shelter.

We then prayed for the homeless shelter and were on our way into the heart of Jackson. When we arrived, we set up our stuff as I got ready to play the worship music with a friend and his bongo. Funny how more people were singing their hearts out at a homeless shelter to songs they probably didn’t know than most of the churches I’ve been at.

4 songs, 2 Psalms, a message, and an invitation later, Brewer threw out a word of knowledge. He had explained how we were going to pray for anyone who wanted us to and that we would be praying for healing because Jesus would like to do that for them. And so he started with a demonstration:

“Before we start, is there someone here who has pain in their foot? I felt like God was telling me there  was.”

“Yeah I do,” said some dude in the back.

“Yeah? It’s your left foot right?”

“Yeah.”

“Alright, why don’t you come up here. Now is your foot in pain right now?”

“Yeah, well it hurt when I was walking on it on the way up here. The pain is from the bottom of my foot up through the back of my leg.”

“Okay, well do you mind if I put my hands on it and pray for it?”

The guy seemed slightly confused.

“I mean, you’d much rather have it healed now than have to go to the doctors right? Not that I have anything against doctors!”

Laughter from those sitting in the room.

“Yeah, go ahead.”

Brewer had us all stick out our hands to pray for the  guy while he lead in prayer for his leg, asking God to heal it. When he finished, he asked “Why don’t you move it around. See how it feels.”

He began to move it around when Brewer asked him to walk down the aisle. The guy seemed amazed and when he reached the end of the aisle he said:

“Well, I guess I’ve been proven wrong!” Which I believe was his way of saying “There really is a God!”

And so there it is peeps. The first healing story I can say that I was there when it happened. And don’t think that this will be the only one. Oh no. I expect to see God work in the miraculous for the rest of my life as He opens my eyes to His world.

We then went around and prayed for other people. I found myself praying for a cool guy named Adam who believed in God very much, but appeared to still be working on understanding it all. I also prayed for another man looking for employment and laid hands on a blind lady. While it didn’t seem that her eyes were healed, we’ll see if anything happens throughout the rest of the day for her. And if not, I hope she still felt God’s blessing this morning!
