• Picture #1: Tom Ascol’s perseverence paid off this year with his amendment to give the the Resolution #6 “baby”  some strength!
• Picture #2: Tom’s brother, Bill, sealed the Convention’s approval of Tom’s admendment when he stated:

  We need to make sure that the “baby” [resolution] has a Baptist identity!

• Picture #3: Ballots are raised to overwhelmingly approve the Yarnell/Ascol Amendments to the Resolution #6.
• Picture #4: Albert Mohler, in his SBTS report, reiterated the importance of the amended Resolution #6.
• Picture #5:  (We apologize for the blurry picture) Jerry Vines, now retired, made a motion to extend the Guidestone Q&A time. O.S. Hawkins jokingly called Vines’ motion “out of order” and stated that since Vines was retired, he had nothing else to do!
• Picture #6: Al Gilbert preached an outstanding sermon from 1 Corinthians 4.

• Picture #8: Thanks to chadwick’s swanky wife, Tina, in selecting his attire, they were both color-coordinated for Wednesday’s Convention!
• Picture #9: Danny Akin delivered a powerful report from SEBTS. In his report, he stated how greatly the approval of Resolution #6 was needed and gave Southern Baptists some prudent applicatory remarks on how each SBC church can implement Regenerate Church Membership. Akin also addressed the rift between Non-Calvinists and Non-Arminians; he stated:

  There is enough room in the SBC for Calvinists of every point to comfortably coexist. The problems come from semi-Arminians who clash with Calvinists who have a chip on their shoulder[s]! . . . that has to stop! (Quote paraphrased by chadwick.)

• Picture #10 Charles Billingsly glorified the Lord in worship! As Billingsley sang, the front of the stage began to be filled with people. . . at first, we thought he had given an “altar-call“, but then we discovered that the only ones going to the “altar” were women with their cameras . . . to snap a picture of Billingsly! . . . chadwick’s wife, Dwight Easler’s wife, David Worley’s wife, Tom Ascol’s wife, Wade Burleson’s wife, and Wes Kenney’s wife all responded to  “Billingsley’s supposed altar-call! . . . with their cameras in hand!”   ;)
• Pictures #11 & #12: Jerry Rankin gave a passionate report from the IMB. [Editor's Note: In the past, Rankin had always been soft-spoken and bland in his presentations. Yet, in this presentation, he spoke with a fervency and passion that we had never seen exhibited from Rankin! Our hearts were stirred from Rankin's heartfelf report!]
