Recently my buddy Dave Mucci made the trip from Chicago to Ocean City, MD, all for the love of automobiles! I figured it’d be pretty whack of me to write an article about H20 International since I’ve yet to go myself, so I asked the man, the myth, my buddy Mooch, to provide some guest commentary. Some of you may be familiar with Dave’s work in 0-60 Magazine, doing detailed engine illustrations. The kid is one hell of an artist, but he isn’t a writer by trade and I’m not much of a grammatical genius so bear with us. Hopefully you will be too engaged with the dope photos to give a crap. For the photography, Dave enlisted the help of Patrick Mizenko who took tons of killer photos. Thanks again to you both!!!

‘The Internet will look completely different in five years, predicts Google CEO Eric Schmidt; after all, he notes, five years is a factor of 10 according to Moore’s law of ever-increasing speed. The Google CEO expounded on the future of the web at length at a recent symposium, but ReadWriteWeb pulled out some of his most interesting predictions and thoughts. Including:

The Internet will be dominated by content in Chinese.
We’ll jump from application to application seamlessly.
Broadband will improve so much that the technical distinctions between radio, TV, and web will disappear.
Users will focus predominantly on social media, rather than traditional sources.

‘In the present, Schmidt revealed that Google is trying to rank real-time search info, that it’s making “significant money” on YouTube, and that a Google Netbook will hit next year. -ReadWriteWeb

Here’s an example of just what is happening to the Broadband World.
The Monticello town of Minnesotta wanted its own fiber optic cable for all its residents and so approached it’s regional telco, TDS Telecommunications, with the request and was rebuffed.
In response, the citizens of Monticello passed a referendum to build their own fiber optic system, which would compete with TDS’s cable service to the town. TDS sued Monticello.

Kolejna wpis mający na celu przypomnienie polskich magazynów związanych z konsolami, które swego czasu były wydawane w naszym uroczym kraju. Tym razem padło na chyba wszystkim znane PlayStation Plus wydawane przez wydawnictwo Ares 2 s.c. Było to jedyne czasopismo, które oficjalnie mogło pisać o Szaraku w naszym kraju, mało tego samo Sony wspierało magazyn. W każdym numerze znajdowała się płytka z grywalnymi wersjami najnowszych gier, co w porównaniu z konkurencją było mocnym atutem PlayStation Plus, każdy mógł sobie pierw zagrać w wersje demonstracyjną by pónźniej zadecydować czy tytuł warty jest rozwalenia świnki-skarbonki,a  przypomne że blisko 10 lat temu nie było tak dobrze i przystępnie jak to jest dzisiaj.

Kolorowo za to nie było z ceną gazety, ponieważ oscylowała ona – jak dobrze sobie przypominam – w granicach 20 zł (być może nawet około 25zł), co sporo osób mogło odstraszyć lub zniechęcić do kupna, tym bardziej że konkurencyjne czasopisma były blisko trzy krotnie tańsze. Tłoczenie płytek co miesiąc na potrzeby pisma musiało w tamtych czasach bardzo być kosztowne . Redaktorem naczelnym był Robert R. Szmidt, polski pisarz fantasy i science fiction. Pierwszy numer ujrzał światło dzienne  w czerwcu 1998 roku, a ostatni opublikowany został  w sierpniu 2000 roku.  Jak widać magazyn zdołał dwa lata utrzymać się na rynku, później został zreaktywowany ale pod inną nazwą ale o tym napiszę w następnym wpisie. Ja osobiście  podobnie jak w przypadku PSX FAN, u znajomego sprawdzałem od czasu do czasu magazyn i płytki z demami. Nigdy jakoś specjalnie mnie nie ciągnęło do tego by znaleźć trochę grosza i namiętnie go kolekcjonować.  Czasopismo w następnych latach wracało na półki sklepowe (traktując już o Czarnuli) – redagowane już przez inne osoby -  by po kilku miesiącach znów zniknąć bez śladu z powodu znikomego zainteresowania czytelników.

David Plouffe and Steve Schmidt

US News and World Report/Paul Bedard—In an unusual alliance fostered by their alma mater, the top aides to 2008 presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama are joining forces to build a new political center at the University of Delaware. Obama campaign manager David Plouffe and McCain campaign manager Steve Schmidt are working to develop the university’s first Center for Political Communication, a coup for the Blue Hens, who also count Vice President Joe Biden among their alumni.

Their teaming comes as Schmidt and Plouffe are trying to finish their degrees: Both attended UD, but neither graduated. Schmidt says he is finishing up three hours at the university, and Plouffe is working toward a full degree, too. Plouffe has deep Delaware roots, having grown up in Wilmington. More recently, he bought a Ford hybrid from his brother at a dealership in Wilmington.

The two have been instrumental in the development of the Center for Political Communication, which will combine several academic disciplines—political science, communication, visual communication, marketing, sociology, business, and perhaps others. Plouffe and Schmidt are helping to develop courses and areas of instruction at the campus in Newark, Del. “We’ve adopted the moniker of ‘epicenter of politics’ as a kind of banner under which to develop the initiative and conduct the programs,” says Ralph J. Begleiter, the university’s Rosenberg Professor of Communication. “Among other things,” he tells our Suzi Parker, “we’re working on new courses—and combinations of courses—around significant developments in digital communication technologies used in the 2008 political campaigns. And we’re especially proud to be doing all this in a completely and appropriately nonpartisan manner, evidenced by the strong support and input of Schmidt and Plouffe.”

Ever since Eric Scmidt joined Apple’s board of directors I’ve had a feeling that the combination of Apple and Google would become Skynet. The friendly ties between Google and Apple led into a still ongoing investigation of the two companies, as if two companies are closely linked for profit, it is considered illegal.

While Apple does tend to have a slight amount of information leaked, it is usually not 100% accurate. Take the 09 iPod event for instance, There was huge speculation, leaked pictures of cases showing off camera holes in the top centers of the Nanos and Touches, there ended up being no camera in the touch, as that would be competition for it’s own iPhone, and there was a camera in the Nano, in a different spot than the cases had shown. The innovations that come out of Apple are groundbreaking, they deigned batteries for the MBPs with square cells instead of cyllindrical ones, utilizing around 30% more space that was otherwise wasted. The multitouch trackpad was an incredible innovation, and after using Heather’s MBP consistently, I actually prefer it to a mouse.

Google however started as a cute little search engine. They have lately become an advertising and map giant, along with many other services as well. Google adsense has revolutionized online advertising. Since Google is the most popular search engine, they know what you are interested in. If they know what you’re interested in, they know what to try and sell to you. Therefore advertisements are more appealing to you, leading to more clicks, leading to more money for Google, the website you were browing when you clicked it, and potentially, the site you are directed to after clicking it. Google also has Google Maps and Google Earth, two similar services with different purposes. The introduction of streetview was incredible in itself, and still amazes me when I use it, being able to look at your local town square or Seattle’s town square. Documents is an extremely useful service they offer, and it like most Google services, is free as well, as compared to Microsoft Office. Reader and YouTube are things I use daily, as does a lot of the world, and I can’t wait until Wave is out of the invite only stage and I can delete my FaceBook. These aren’t anywhere near all of the services offered by Google, as I’ve only touched base on everything Google has their hand in, but you get an idea of what all they do.

Recently though, Apple’s ties with Google has gotten sour. With the rejection of the Google Voice application, Apple’s recent acquisition of a map company, and Google’s ventures into territory that directly competes with Apple, there seems to be a lot of tension between the two companies that wasn’t there 6 months ago. Apple buying the maps company means that it can use it’s own maps for location tagging in iPhoto, the Maps application on the iPhone, and they can potentially venture into the same territory Google is dominating in with its own maps, though it will likely never be successful as Google’s own maps. The rejection of Google Voice has been met with hostility by consumers moreso than Google, seeing as AT&T tends to have some power over Apple’s own App store. Revently though AT&T announced that it would allow VOIP applications to work on it’s 3G network, so there is a chance that GV could eventually appear on the App Store, though this is too far after the fact I believe, and we probably won’t see GV anytime soon on the iPhone. Another big thing with this is Eric Schmidt’s resignation from Apple’s board of directors because of conflicts of interest. Seeing as he is the CEO of Google this makes sense, Google has Chrome as their Safari competiton, along with it sharing the name with their new operating system that is targeted towards netbooks. Android is another big factor, as it directly competes with the iPhone. Schmidt was missing out on more and more meetings because they were about the same types of ventures that Google was starting to dabble in. I found out last week that Arthur Levinson, board member for both Apple and Google, who served as an indepenent member of both boards, has resigned from Google.

Apple seems to have been the more aggressive in ridding itself of Google than vice versa, and while I see the reasoning for this being that they need the FCC off of their back, and the genuine conflict of interests, it saddens me to see two of my favorite companies break their ties like this.

And for the record, I still believe Google will become Skynet, but Apple won’t be a part of it.

Interessant ist, wie sehr die Äußerungen aus dem Zusammenhang gerissen werden. Darauf will ich jetzt nicht eingehen, es gibt genügend Material, das Schmidts eindeutig demokratische Überzeugung belegt. Vielmehr fiel mir jedoch der Kommentar des Autors am Ende auf:

“Als Deutscher sollte man keinem BRD-Kanzler uneingeschränkt vertrauen – und zwar von Adenauer bis Merkel. Vorgeblich lobenswerte Ausnahmen sind Illusion. Die bundesrepublikanisch-politischen Eliten werden außerhalb Deutschlands gekrönt – und gelenkt; seit 1949.”

Das offenbart, wes Geistes Kind der Autor ist. Da wird wieder einmal davon geredet, daß das Nachkriegsdeutschland fremdgesteuert wird. Dabei soll die Frage entstehen: von wem eigentlich? Es gibt Leute, die wollen einfach nicht von der Mär der jüdischen Weltverschwörung abkommen. Das soll offensichtlich den Eindruck erwecken, daß Deutschland in bezug auf das Nachkriegsszenario kein freier Staat wäre.

Dann frage ich: was war denn vor 1949? Waren die Jahre etwa von 1933 – 1945 von Freiheit geprägt?

Eigentlich kann man über derartige Beiträge froh sein, denn die Dummheit der Autoren entlarvt deren geistige Haltung: vordergründig von mangelndem Integrationswillen und niedrigen Bildungsniveau der Migranten sprechen, aber hintergründig die Zeit vor 1949 daherwünschen.

Keiner von uns weiß, ob es je eine Zeitmaschine geben wird und wie sie aussehen wird. Aber ich weiß, daß sie garantiert nicht mit Dampf betrieben und rechteckige Räder haben wird. Dieses Bild gibt nämlich der “angesagte” Artikel auf WordPress ab…

In der durch die deutlichen Aussagen Thilo Sarrazins ausländerkritisch geprägten Athmosphäre erinnert man sich auch an die erstaunlich klaren Worte, die Ex-Bundeskanzler Helmut Schmidt vor einiger Zeit ertönen ließ. Schmidt verlangte damals in einem Interview für den FOCUS einen “radikalen Kurswechsel in der Ausländerpolitik”. “Wir müssen eine weitere Zuwanderung aus fremden Kulturen unterbinden”, sagte der 91-Jährige gegenüber der Presse. Als Mittel gegen die Überalterung komme Zuwanderung nicht in Frage. “Die Zuwanderung von Menschen aus dem Osten Anatoliens oder aus Schwarzafrika löst das Problem nicht, schaffte nur ein zusätzliches dickes Problem.“ Deutschland habe sich damit in den vergangenen 15 Jahren übernommen. “Wir sind nicht in der Lage gewesen, alle diese Menschen wirklich zu integrieren”, sagte Schmidt. “Sieben Millionen Ausländer in Deutschland sind eine fehlerhafte Entwicklung, für die die Politik verantwortlich ist.” Diejenigen Ausländer, die sich nicht in die deutsche Gesellschaft integrieren wollten oder könnten “hätte man besser draußen gelassen”. Dies ist sicherlich eine klare Aussage, der man nur beipflichten kann. Jedoch gibt es zweierlei Gründe, über Herrn Schmidt und seine Worte etwas eingehender nachzudenken. Das Stichwort lautet: Bilderbeger.

Zunächst stellt sich die Frage nach dem Sinn seiner öffentlichen Wortmeldung angesichts des verbleibenden Einflußes des greisen Alt-Kanzlers. Fraglos gab es Zeiten, in denen Schmidt über Dinge wie die Zuwanderungsfrage, auch für kommende Generationen, wesentlich mehr Macht gehabt hätte. Zum Beispiel während seiner Amtszeit als Bundeskanzler von 1974 bis 1982. Warum glänzte er nicht damals mit effektiven Maßnahmen zur Abwendung des drohenden Problems, sondern schob erst ein Viertel Jahrhundert später wohlklingende Ansichten nach? Ein Fall später Altersweisheit?

Helmut Schmidt und Henry Kissinger: Laut eigener Aussage seit 50 Jahren Freunde

Im Zuge der offensichtlich von den Bilderbergern, sowie ihren organisatorischen Seitenarmen, angestrebten Neuen Weltordnung ist die Verausländerung der Nationalstaaten mit Asylanten und kulturfremden Zuwanderern eigentlich ganz in ihrem Sinne. Je mehr Orientale und Afrikaner die europäischen Völker überfluten, desto besser für ihre Pläne, die Macht über die geschwächten und gestreßten Europäer mit ihren ethnisch zunehmend heterogenen Bevölkerungen an sich zu reißen und den kopflosen Ameisenhaufen in der Brüsseler EU-Zentrale zu bündeln.

Man mag es für blasphemisch halten, an der Aufrichtigkeit der Worte eines beliebten Altkanzlers zu zweifeln. Doch ist zumindest verwunderlich, was der gemeinsame Nenner einer Männerfreundschaft sein mag, über die immerhin Kissinger sagt, er wolle “nicht in einer Welt ohne Helmut Schmidt leben” (!) – wenn dabei der eine angeblich stets nur das Allerbeste für sein deutsches Vaterland wollte, während der andere Deutschland gern vollständig entsouveränisieren, entmündigen und in eine europäische bis globale Superordnung unter dem Befehl seines elitären Clubs einverleiben würde. Man könnte der Ansicht sein, bei derartigen, nicht gerade nichtigen Meinungskonflikten, wäre eine Freundschaft zwischen zwei international bedeutenden Politikern eher unmöglich – es sei denn, man verfolgt eben doch letztlich dasselbe Ziel.

“Man brauchte (…) nicht jedes Jahr nach Amerika zu reisen, sofern man (…) an einigen der privaten internationalen Konferenzen teilnahm; mit Dankbarkeit erinnere ich mich an die alljährlichen so genannten Bilderberg-Konferenzen, die Bernhard, Prinz der Niederlande, organisierte und leitete.”

Wir wollen nicht weiter, notgedrungen spekulativ, in die psychologische Tiefe dieser beiden schwer durchschaubaren Männer versinken. Unabhängig davon, welche Ursachen oder konkrete Verursacher man für die derzeitige Entwicklung in Europa und in Deutschland benennen will, könnte man jedoch festhalten: Eventuell ist inzwischen auch für elitäre Kreise hinter den Kulissen der Punkt gekommen, ab dem eine Fortsetzung der durchaus gewünschten Entgermanisierung Deutschlands jetzt nur noch kontraproduktiv wäre. Denn ohne Millionen blendend gelaunter, fleißiger, intelligenter und hoch effizienter deutscher Arbeitsmichel würde der kraftvolle EU-Motor – der da heißt: BRD-Wirtschaft – am Ende wohl irgendwann zu stottern beginnen. Vermutlich wäre dies ein Alptraum für die Schiksalslenker im Hintergrund, gerade im Hinblick auf den mittelfristig absehbaren finanziellen Niedergang Amerikas. Denn wer soll bald die ideologisch und materiell motivierten Pläne zur Herstellung der Totalen Globalisierung bezahlen können?

Die uns “bereichernden” antideutschen Neubürger aus diesem Film jedenfalls können EU- bis GlobU-Utopien ganz sicher nicht erwirtschaften.

Würde sich hingegen abzeichnen, daß sie es könnten, ließen die globalistischen Eliten der fortgesetzten Entdeutschung Deutschlands vielleicht sogar freien Lauf.

Fazit: Als Deutscher sollte man keinem BRD-Kanzler uneingeschränkt vertrauen – und zwar von Adenauer bis Merkel. Vorgeblich lobenswerte Ausnahmen sind Illusion. Die bundesrepublikanisch-politischen Eliten werden außerhalb Deutschlands gekrönt – und gelenkt; seit 1949.

Und dieses vernetzte Konstrukt zur Entmündigung der Deutschen wird sich fortsetzen, bis Amerika und die EU in ihrer jetzigen Form kollabieren.

‘Judged by the standard of influencing the conversation, Think Progress is flourishing.’~Politico

The 44D’s just wanted to take a moment and celebrate the blogger’s at ThinkProgress and the TP community. It’s not often that the MSM gives blogger’s recognition for all the hard work they do, even when they use blogger’s reporting in their own stories. Today, hopefully will mark a turning point in that behavior, and investigative blogger’s will earn the respect they so genuinely deserve.

Thank you TP for providing both excellent reporting and a place for honest political discussion.

Politico/Daniel Libit—Can a liberal blog launched in the midst of the Bush era – a blog that once obsessed over Alberto Gonzales, Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove and the outing of Valerie Plame – still make its mark in the age of Obama?

In the case of Think Progress, the answer so far is yes.

Since January, the online arm of the Center for American Progress Action Fund has embraced its new role as the pin to prick the air out of Obama opposition — largely by offering up evidence that powerful Washington interests are fertilizing grassroots conservative anger.

In April, Think Progress was the first to highlight former House Majority Leader Dick Armey’s dual role as a lobbyist for a pharmaceutical company at DLA Piper and as the chairman of FreedomWorks, which has helped organize grassroots attacks on health care reform.

In the media uproar that followed, Armey quit his DLA Piper job and Editor Faiz Shakir says the controversy called into question whether the movement against the president was astroturfed.

In the ensuing months, Think Progress’s trackers and bloggers have tried to make that point with videos and posts that undercut the opponents of President Barack Obama’s agenda.

Sarah Palin’s recent pre-order book sales success has produced tons of media attention lately — most of it negative, as the Left has passionately skewered Palin ever since she ascended to prominence.

But it wasn’t just those on the Left making Palin-bashing a pasttime.

During the 2008 Presidential election there were many reports of infighting between McCain’s staff and Palin. Many conservatives blame the staff for making Palin look foolish in some of her interviews with the press.  And now Senator John McCain’s former campaign manager Steve Schmidt is joining the chorus to try to crush Palin.

Schmidt: “She would not be a winning candidate…in 2012…and in fact, were she to be the nominee, uh, we could have a catastrophic election result.”

Thankfully McCain rejects Schmidt’s assessment and comes off as very gracious in the interview.  He understands that it doesn’t help cure the pain of yesterday to try to bring Palin down tomorrow.  Too bad Schmidt doesn’t seem to grasp that.

The Bible provided plenty of wisdom on this issue when the Apostle Paul wrote:

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me. (Philippians 3:13-14)

Schmidt doesn’t help anyone move forward by letting his problems in the past shape his feelings on Palin’s future.  The future for Palin is wide open.  The only thing I’m certain of is that she will be selling a lot of books.
